We love going to Duck Duck Goose in Rosedale. Chef owner Willie is always pushing out the menu envelope and this lunchtime, there were new items to try. Aunty Renee chose the focaccia bao with prawn, aioli, cheese & chilies, served with hand cut fries and green salad. Uncle had the mushroom tofu soup, with charred corn, spinach, shredded chicken on soft tofu in a shiitake mushroom broth. We shared a blue baguette, served with halloumi, poached egg plus orange nutmeg butter and salad. The blue of the marbled baguette is from the blue pea flower. The counter is laden with cakes made by Yessika, wife of Willie. The coconut chiffon cake shone like a star, resplendent in gossamer fluffy pandan chiffon. It's Uncle favourite cake. It was served with a pandan custard.
