It is done, the first squad of The Pyre is complete. Finally.

It is taking a lot of time but I am getting there. I do have a lot of minis to paint, hopefully I can get going with them. Next up is a Praetor. Or the Leviathan Dread. One of the two.

I decided that the company heroes are fancy enough to get fancy personal iconography, except the ancient (who is 90% cloak anyway), who will be carrying a big flag with all the iconography any knight of the grimdark realm could ever want.

Did not go to work yesterday, this is what I did at home. The red oil is dry now. I want to do something different with the faces…I really like the black skin against the blood soaked look, but I am not sure how to highlight the raised edges, not sure if I should use grey to edge highlight or not…let’s see what the brain comes up with

Some of these are tough to see, especially the Goliaths. But the command squad looks great! And that banner is terrifyingly fragile. No idea how I’m going to transport these little dudes

I finished my command squad now! I'm super happy with how they all came out, and especially the flag 😁 They did awrsome in my last game and hopefully they are even better painted!

I don't know what's funniest about this. The fact that Cody is clearly regretting putting Rex in charge, the fact that Rex was like LOL THIS IS GOING TO BE HILARIOUS, or that this is Domino Squad's first meeting with General Skywalker's second-in-command.
