the hard won intimacy of sharing a bed and Neku pulling Joshua’s wing over him like a blanket. nuzzling into the feathers, so soft, inhaling the unique scent he’s grown to love, using them to block the morning light sneaking in through the crack left by half closed drapes drawn back when Joshua slipped in through the window in what’s become ritual “invasion.” the way they soak up every moment they can get when the RG and UG align to bring them together…

persona 3 and twewy spoilers but

i just need to ramble about how the hypothetical bad ending of twewy (neku shoots josh) is basically what happens to ryoji and makoto at the end of the year. neku and makoto both discover that the weird guys hanging around them are actually supposed to be in some way battling against them. and because fate is cruel, they have to choose whether to kill them or spare them for the sake of having brighter lives. joshua tells neku that he’s going to “erase shibuya” while ryoji says killing him will make makoto and his friends forget about the coming fall to save some stress. (interestingly enough these motives range from judgement to guilt)

joshua and ryoji are related to destruction in some way. joshua is trying to see if shibuya really isn’t worth erasing and ryoji is literally death/thanatos and nyx’s messenger. despite knowing this, neku and makoto still struggle to choose because to them, the care and love they have for their friends hasn’t gone. alongside that, their motives to keeping them alive is also because of the fear of losing the bonds they’ve built together than simply just saving shibuya or protecting your peace from the fall of the earth.

there are differences between joshneku and ryomina, but the similarities are still there. i love joshneku and shuake comparisons, but I find that ryomina is also very fitting.

okay what I’m saying is this dynamic makes me ill

(insane) the only other character who stood on a high building in ddd traverse town is neku. who feels bad for tricking and selling sora out to get back home. hes literally distancing himself from sora. sora has to go up to his level to talk to him. he tells sora “what? you actually still trust me?” and “i tricked you”. sora tells him “when it mattered the most, you stood up for me”. not to be insane but that vibes like tw3wy ending……neku thinking joshua tricked him……in the end joshua did what matters (not destroying shibuya)….in ddd novel sora thinks that joshua wants a connection like him and riku but he hasnt figured out to bridge that gap….later neku stays behind to talk to joshua and calls him a friend…which makes joshua walk to his side and thank him………………….. sora closes the gap between him and neku by affirming their friendship and neku does the same for joshua….. in ddd traverse town its abt finding your partner….its about pairs….neku and shiki beat and rhyme sora and riku…..theyre lined up together and at that moment neku and joshua are standing side by side like partners……………. unwell unwell unwell unwell unwell

"Oho? Is that an invitation?" Joshua chuckled, twirling his finger around a lock of hair in that oh so familiarly coy fashion. Like no time at all had passed between the two of them. And for someone like him, three years was but a blink of an eye. All the same, he was flattered by Neku's offer.

"I might just take you up on that, Neku. Don't go regretting it now, okay?" He was teasing, a sly smile. At this point there was no rescinding the offer anyway.
