The negative attitude toward men is part of what caused the new "alpha male, hypermasculinity" trend to appear. Men are now faced with two extremes that are posed as their only options. They can either fully embrace their masculinity to a concerning degree and be applauded by alpha male podcast bros while becoming part of the problem moderate feminists are pointing out and wanting to solve OR they can conform to the radical standards placed on them by the women around them, denying themselves any express of masculinity for fear of being perceived as a monster while being openly mocked and critisied by people who are willfully ignorant to the legitimate points of feminism. Any nuance or range of expression is completely stamped out, leaving no room for people who don't belong to either category.

Society seems to forget that men are also people with feelings. They are not monsters who only want sex and constantly being negative towards them will take a toll on their mental health.
