Grayson always seemed to be giving the chief a hard time, but that was mainly because he would put his life on the line a little too often. The amount of times that he had people pointing a gun toward him, tried to beat him down, where he didn't listen to the chief when he told him to hold his position. This time it landed him a black eye as he was finishing up his paperwork from the crime as his attention was brought up to Allie who came on by again. ❝ Hey, he's not in the best mood right now. ❞

It always seemed to happen like this. There was always one spirit that haunted a living soul that might not've belonged near them any longer. And in all fairness it wasn't like Baz could just read the room when trying to communicate messages so when the man before him stood his total height, towering over him, have him click his tongue and grin up at the goliath. "Right... Maybe not the best time to hash that out, huh?"

The gentleman was eyeing Baz up like he was ready to swing in on him when his eyes drifted just behind the medium, where unbeknownst to Baz, Allison stood with arms crossed, waiting on the other to get ready to try and make a move, any move really. Have Baz look back just in time to see her there when the other growled: "I'll find you later, long island medium."

"Woah... woah. No need to use such harsh language, my friend. I'll definitely keep an eye out for you." He called after the other. Have him sigh, and look back at Allison with a grin. "Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining but this... feels like you might be protective of me. Is that it? Are you protecting me from overgrown residents of this town? My face isn't all that pretty, a rearrangement might be worth the risk." Have him stroll closer, lips tilted up in one corner. "And if you're not protecting me, looks like you were trying to find me. Either way. Pain me flattered."

"I don't know if I'd consider the vast majority of them my closest" he responded snarky" he huffed without looking over at her just yet. "How can I invite you on the getaway and get laid? I'd be too busy looking after you." He finally turned to looked at her. He knew full well if she was there he'd still have a blast but it just never crossed his mind at the time when he impulsively booked the trip. "They might think we're a couple and then my chances of banging them dwindle, they might all think we're trying to invite them into some throuple situation.." he paused for a minute before a smile curved his lips. "Which now that I mention it would be really hot" he nodded with a smile while getting lost in his thoughts."

"and instead of being stuck on a plane, you're stuck with twenty of your closest friends, and me, so you're welcome for that. which, to be honest, i'm still offended that I wasn't invited on your little getaway, so welcome to your own boring little hell." in all honesty, bradford was one of the few people she was actually glad was here with her, everything was a little less scary with one of her best friends by her side. after a moment, allison finally asked, "you sure we aren't able to order a helicopter out of here or something?"

I’ve seen a lot of people talking about the big things in s4 of TUA that pissed them off, so here’s some smaller things that I haven’t rlly seen anyone talk about:

Luther getting his ape body back with his powers even tho the marigold didn’t cause that

Everything Allison did last season being completely ignored except for her briefly saying that no one wants to see her and that little convo with Viktor and her never really apologizing

Five and Diego leaving their siblings to fist fight EACH OTHER when Ben has just turned into a huge, unkillable monster and everyone’s lives are in imminent danger

Everyone consistently saying that Diego was fat, only for him to be completely ripped when his shirt was off during the fight in the CIA office (and don’t try to tell me some bullshit abt it being cause he got his powers back)

Viktor and Reginald essentially having the same conversation of “I want to kill Ben”, “No, let me talk to him” over and over for the entirety of the last episode as if they kept forgetting that they’d already talked about this

Abigail’s reasoning for essentially causing the end of the world being because she felt she didn’t deserve to live because she created the marigold and Durango. Like, girl, go jump if you rlly wanna, but you don’t have to take everyone else with you

Five is consistently shown to be extremely intelligent, yet he can’t figure out the subway system when he’s stuck in it with nothing else to do and nowhere else to go for SEVEN YEARS!! Especially since every single other version of him did it!!

most of these are pretty lukewarm but i'm gonna get flamed for them anyway but whatever. spoilers ??? ahead ??? idk read at ur own risk

i don't think andreil ever say i love you to each other; i feel like the discourse about this is virtually endless ever since nora said it but honestly her explanation was so valid??? they're such a show not tell couple it just makes so much sense for them to show the "i love you" in their actions than ever saying the words out loud. esp bc neither of them have ever really heard those words and have them mean anything real or true or actually loving. personally i think their little percentages and the "i hate you"'s and kisses and keys mean more to them than an "i love you" ever could. i'm not a purist on this tho i do think i could visualise it happening maybe somewhere along the road i just think nora's explanation for this is very very in line with canon andreil.

i don't hate thea muldani; i've made a post abt this but basically my thoughts around her are literally just: she's a human being, and she's never gonna be perfect. i also find it very...interesting how the fandom likes to flame thea (an explicitly stated woman of colour) for being "problematic" and a "terrible person/character" when she doesn't act all that different from andrew, neil and kevin (white men) ??? idk it seems a little strange to me bc she seems pretty on par with them on whatever moral compass this batshit crazy fandom has decided to impose on these fictional and very much morally ambiguous characters. anyway go check out my post i go a lot deeper into thea's character and why she does a lot of things wrong but i don't rlly think she's deserving of the insane amounts of hate she gets in the fandom.

i don't think andreil ever get married; this MIGHT be me projecting bc the idea of marriage is just a very complicated and rough concept in my mind but also just i feel like there's something so beautiful about andreil never really putting a label on their relationship??? like they never define it by calling the other their "boyfriend" or "husband" they just are. they have nothing "concrete" binding them like a marriage certificate but they choose to stay with each other through everything. idk it's real to me but again i'm not a purist people can do whatever they want.

i've said it before but i'll keep saying it till enough people hear me: the aftg fandom mischaracterises literally the main fucking characters; i'm mostly talking about andrew and ESPECIALLY neil here bc neil is not a sweet, sunshiney, oblivious, blushy softboy and andrew is not a cold, unemotional, stoic, "conceal don't feel" stone. since i've already bitched on and on about neil's mischaracterisation let's just talk about andrew for a sec. i think andrew is actually a deeply emotional person and is fully aware of the feelings he experiences. does he vocalise or express them often? no but more often than not they show themselves anyway. him crashing out after neil was kidnapped, letting himself get walked like a dog by neil for three books straight, choking allison for slapping aaron, idk i could go on. but yeah you get it.

i don't actually think neil is that oblivious; before people come at me like "but nora said!" or whatever yeah, i know she said he's as dense as a brick when it comes to people flirting with him. considering how much of the ec the aftg fandom likes to disregard allow me to disregard this little bit of it, yeah? this isn't me tryna impose my own projections onto nora's characters, this is lit just me tryna explain how i understand neil josten (he's my bsf btw). he literally clocks his feelings for andrew in trk (after his deep convo™ with nicky) but he just files it away for later bc he doesn't consider attraction or romantic interest anything to be thinking about considering he's got the mafia and his serial killer dad on his tail. i also don't really blame him for not catching onto andrew's feelings earlier (tho doesn't he get pretty fucking close during that one convo they have in exites in trk???? someone correct me if i'm wrong but) bc dude andrew was out here sending fucking mixed ass signals like bro was saying "you are a pipe dream" and "i hate you" in the same fucking conversations like??? neil has always taken andrew at face value and he's not about to question him now. he's also never confused or uncertain about nicky or marissa and what their comments about him meant, he just genuinely does not gaf about them so he doesn't acknowledge them or pay them any attention in his narration. i truly truly think his dismissal of all the advances made upon him in aftg were borne out of indifference, not obliviousness.

have already said this in detail but i don't think andrew's actually a misogynist; the wording doesn't feel right. i'd probably describe andrew's distrust of women (esp. those in motherly/mother roles) as a similar ingrained wariness that neil has for older men. this is something borne out of trauma and shitty experiences that takes time and trust to unlearn. nora says a lot of things the fandom disregards and for me, this is one of those things i'm a little iffy about. misogyny actually isn't reflected in andrew's actions at all, i'd say. does he respect women? no. but he doesn't respect anyone unless they've actually earned it. and among the people he does respect and care for there are women (renee, bee). he doesn't treat women any differently and obv doesn't think they're any weaker than men are (considering renee wipes the floor w him their first sparring sesh). andrew's an equal opportunity hater and i don't think he actually has any sexist or even misogynistic tendencies. i think what is there is just a slightly biased worldview of disliking/mistrusting mother figures, given his bad experiences w tilda and cass (they've left him w more long-term emotional damage that's probably rlly difficult and complicated for him to work through esp considering cass did love??? him and he did want her enough to be willing to suffer dr*ke to be close to her; there's more to it but for the sake of word count i won't go into it) but honestly it doesn't actually show that much??? if people wanna say he hates women, sure, but for one, he doesn't hate a lot of things he's just very indifferent to them and two, he holds a pretty similar apathetic distaste for most people and things, so it's not like a very big distinction. i also think the whole "no girls" thing w aaron was very much a personal thing, and his mistrust of katelyn probably came from aaron's past (apparently negative) experiences w other girlfriends and friendships in general. and if i remember correctly the deal wasn't even "no girls" it was just "family only" which is why aaron didn't make friends w the rest of the foxes either. i digress but i don't think saying "andrew isn't a misogynist" is robbing him of any nuance as a character.

i like nicky and honestly feel similarly towards him as i do about thea; he isn't perfect and never will be and i think while the way he acts towards neil and others (see: matt, kevin) is pretty untoward and inappropriate, i also do see where he's coming from, esp after aaron's explanation of it. that it's a defence mechanism coming from someone who's experienced a lot of prejudice and harm because of his sexuality. obv i think everyone can agree his assault on neil was fucked up but i think nora was right in saying that nicky was high and drunk and not rlly in his right mind at the time, and he does apologise and i'm pretty sure she also said he and neil work it out privately anyway. he's a messy character and definitely not perfect queer rep but again, he's pretty realistic, and i think he's honestly a rlly well-written and complex character.

the thing is, ali wanted to know more about eli. she felt a pretty damn strong connection in that hotel room they shared one passionate night in. it was like she was drawn to eli from the moment their eyes locked across the room and she knew she was done for the second they kissed. now, she knows she's making him nervous by how his demeanor is right now and she loves it. it causes her lips to curl into a smirk knowing she had this much power of him. it was amazing how fast things can change, because minutes ago she was close to crying and storming out of here and away from eli. but now, ali wanted to toy with him and she knew just the right way to do it. "oh, is that right?" ali steps into eli's space and closer to where he stood. "seems like bullshit to me, eli. because i can't stop thinking about it. i can't stop thinking about every single thing you did to me, and i'm going to guess you can't either." she definitely was guessing here, but might as well throw it out there. eli's reaction is all the answer she needs and ali doesn't even really listen to him actively try to deny it. "goodness, didn't i just say not to lie?" she gets closer to the point there's not that much room between them. "it's okay. keep living in denial," her hand slides up his chest before resting on eli's shoulder with her lips right against the shell of his ear. "but just so you know, every time i touch myself, i'll be thinking of you."

as she informs him of this, it makes him realize just how little he knows about her. he remembers that night though, and how he had dreamed about running into her again - but not like this. not when he's caught off guard, and his girlfriend was around.

swallowing the lump in his throat, he tries his best to compose himself but it's proving to be a difficult task. thank god odette had gone to the car. who knows what would have happened if she would have stuck around and ali had still decided to approach.

he doesn't really know why she's still standing here, or why he had even pulled her aside in the first place. eli should have just let her go in hopes that she would forget it and move on. "i know. i left it out. i shouldn't have...the night shouldn't have happened." so how come it was all that he could think about? as he's about to say something else, her entire demeanor changes and there's some sort of...twinkle? in her eye, that hadn't been there before.

i thought the convo between five and viktor was great but it is a little insane to lecture viktor on lying and saying working alone would just make him a villain but like? allison made the decision to kill harlan without consulting anybody so why doesn't she get the same speech lmao

Kiddo is displeased Allison was brought back. It sort of went backwards on Scott's character growth, where he learned to deal with her death and keep going. And they thought Scott and Malia were good together. And WHY would Allison be able to suddenly be resurrected in a new body after FIFTEEN YEARS; after everything else that happened, wouldn't they have sensed her before? If it was just because of the nogitsune, why would it be the REAL Allison and not an illusion?

Why would the pack be split up like that when the last season ended with Scott saving another young werewolf and seemingly BUILDING his pack? And we don't even see that werewolf again. Why wouldn't they bring up Monroe's hunters at all? And they didn't flesh out ANYONE'S story enough (from the pack), even if it was a movie. Like why was Liam in Japan and what's the story with Hikari? (She's pretty much just a plot device!) And kiddo thought Liam and Hikari died in the beginning---why would Harris leave them alive to be able to warn the others about the nogitsune?? (Sidenote from me: and didn't he say in the beginning that scott took his family from him?? Or was it something vague like "took everything"? I can't remember now.)

(Another sidenote from me: they never say anything about Eli's mom, which of course I will fanon as a sterek situation, but for a hot second I thought Malia would be his mom since she's apparently making her way through the pack---no shade, but for real. And Malia and Parrish's opening convo hinted at background story ("I'm not changing my mind") that I don't think was actually followed up on, either??)

Why did the nogitsune go into multiple people, like going into Chris? It was much better as Stiles, and made a bigger impact. Using Allison without her memories didn't feel as impactful or heartbreaking, and then she got her memories back pretty quickly anyway. 😒

He had that look in his eyes—that faraway haze that only came after a long conversation with the dead. Something about it tonight made him quieter. Older. Tired in that way people only are when no one sees the things they carry.

Then she smiled. And his walls cracked, just a little.

He huffed out a short breath that might’ve been a laugh, eyes finally flicking up to hers as she teased him. “If I start showing up later, you’ll start showing up later later, and eventually I’ll be meeting your ghost instead.”

The words weren’t cruel. They were soft. Laced with the kind of affection he didn’t often let himself give voice to, because affection came with strings, and Baz didn’t like knots unless he tied them himself.

But then she moved closer. And those wide brown eyes softened, dipped to his mouth like she was memorizing the shape of something she’d been thinking about for a while now.

When her lips brushed his, Baz froze—not in shock, but in that quiet, fractured kind of stillness, like the whole world had hushed just to let him feel.

When she pulled back, asking if it made up for it, he didn’t answer right away. He just looked at her. Searched her. Like he was waiting for a punchline that never came.

Then—

“…Yeah,” he rasped, voice low and quiet and real. “Yeah, that… makes up for a lot.”

He reached for her hand without overthinking it, fingers cool but steady. Tethering himself to the moment like it might otherwise slip away.

“I don’t care how late you are, Al. Just don’t stop showin’ up.”

Because ghosts always came back. But the living—the ones that mattered—they didn’t always stay.

There were still so many secrets Allison kept under lock and key. Sacred oaths taken under carrying the Argent name, things she wanted to keep certain people protected from… and Baz had slowly become one of them after finding himself in the midst of all this mess.

Sometimes hang outs were missed, something urgent would come up, and there was Allison with the pathetic sounding excuse when they were finally back together. Natural, given who she was. Guarded. But once you were let in, you felt her warmth, radiant smile just the glimpse of it.

At least Baz wasn’t a complete stranger to the supernatural things that went bump in the night. Speaking to the dead, Allison could only imagine how unsettling that would be. Knowing you were watched, constantly accompanied, wondering who he’d run into next and their story. She wanted to find a way to help him with it, like Lydia and her following Death’s beck and call by a force she couldn’t ignore, practically sleepwalking following its pull.

Which was where she’d been now, out searching for her best friend. During a time she’d hated leaving Baz hanging, especially when she was just trying to open up again after Scott, and Isaac. Trying to find someone whose path followed hers, and perhaps not of the werewolf variety — accidentally developing feelings for a psychic, of all categories.

Would he be mad? Or was he used to it by now?

Relieved to find him still waiting at their spot, Allison flashed her most innocent, dazzling smile. “I’m late. Again. I know… maybe you should start coming later too, then that way I’m almost on time~” The tease fell guiltily, bright chestnut orbs gazing at Baz. There was one way to apologize, an action she’d intended on doing anyway. And in sitting close to him did her eyes scan his, then slowly dropped to the shape of his lips, memorizing them just before leaning in to brush hers to them. “Does that… kinda make up for it?” A tumbled whisper of breathless words, whole mess of questions she might’ve opened the door to, but it was a start in Allison taking those bold steps in life she always did, consequences be damned.

The only reason season 1 Lydia puts up with Jackson is because he’s got the best social clout, but it stands to reason that Lydia also puts up with Jackson because he’s the best in bed too. No way is the Queen Bee putting up with less than two orgasms every time they fuck. She’d chew Jackson out for being inferior, and that would spur Jackson on to prove her wrong.
