Summer was a fading memory, and it had been three years since Asha last enjoyed a peach. She still enjoyed Qarl, though. The captains and the kings might not have wanted her, but he did.

hey libra!! sorry, i don't know if this is a "request", per se, but do you have any thoughts about domeric bolton?

Adore him lots and wish we knew more about him and his relationship with his parents !!! And Aunt Barbrey! I know he's meant as one of those tragic-side-characters-in-someone's-past thag asoiaf is full of, but I dont caaare.

In quite a few things I write and HC, he's still around bc im so curious about his and Roose's dynamic. Domeric was sweet and poetic and Roose cared deeply about him in spite of their totally differing personalities - would it have led to conflict later? Would Roose have always protected him, made excuses for his soft heart? Would Domeric become "tougher" and less idealistic as the years went on, or more ... Bolton-like? Would he ever stand up to his father? How loyal would he be to the Starks vs his father?

So many thoughts ...

Fav asoiaf blogs?

@nobodysuspectsthebutterfly is consistently the most knowledgeable person i have ever seen anywhere wrt the source text and what george has said about and adjacent to it over the years!! a treasure trove of fandom history as well and just a very kind, warm, lovely person who it's a joy to talk to.

@ilynpilled has really fantastic, thoughtful, exacting lannister meta and i usually direct any jaime questions i get or have myself to them bc i'm just not equipped to answer any of them the way they can. also an incredible artist!! if you've spent any time on asoiaf you have likely seen their art around, it's stoonin'.

@rhaegars-cervix has beautiful art as well and really engaging rhaegar meta, i love their take on his character

i won't tag these people because we aren't mutuals and i don't wanna bother them but shebsart, shripscapi, and cosmiart have some of my fav asoiaf art of all time! i love their style and their subject matter. all are super talented visual artists who i get really excited about new pieces for.

amuelia has the best bolton meta EVER and i LOVE their art for the entire series. really interesting, thoughtful character design choices for everyone, especially wrt adapting book descriptions, drawing family resemblances, and making each character feel unique and recognizable. i love that they draw mel with no eyebrows!! and that their rams and his mom look so alike!!

Obviously I held devotion and respect for Mistress Scrivener, and I truly love Master Thorn. The love I felt for him had begun to slowly seep like errant magic towards her as well, during the time I spent with her directly after my last summoning. Our talks in the kitchen, the Ostrich Room, the ballroom dance lesson… all of these led to me knowing that my mutual love for her was imminent.

It weighed on my mind. I could easily turn this world to ashes, yet I was powerless to stop myself from loving her the way I love Nathaniel.

I greatly enjoy this art from @cosmiart. I look so feline and regal.
