So his file was never erased by the spell Dr. Strange casts.

And yeah Matt is intrigued why he doesn't remember this case, he read over the file. He knows this now 17yrs old (should be 21 cause of the blip) is Spiderman. Knows that the May Parker on file has now past and knows it's related to the craziness that Dr. Strange was dealing with almost a year ago. Knows that might be the explanation why he doesn't remember; Magic. Dimensions, others worlds. Those are beyond his scope. But knows that if a spell had to be casted so no one would remember Peter Parker, well that wouldn't have been an easy choice.

If he can help him be less alone in the world? He is gonna give it a try. As long as he can keep that Deadpool character away from him. Maybe DareDevil can let Spiderman know he has his back.
