Sabreclaw
Tumblr media
Image © TSR Inc.
[The sabreclaw first appeared in Sabre River, a Basic D&D module, and then was reprinted in the Creature Catalogue. And then in the Mystara Monstrous Compendium for AD&D, which is where this art appears. The sabreclaw is clearly an attempt to fill the design need of making minions challenging to high level characters, which is where their cumulative defenses came in. Since AC is much more scalable in 3.x and Pathfinder than it is in earlier or later editions, I gave it cumulative offenses as well. I did tone down its nastiest ability; originally, all members of a wing fully share hit points, so none of them die unless all of them die. Combine that with an immunity to 1st-3rd level spells in the original, and every fight with these is gonna be a bit of a slog. The transfer health ability is intended to capture some of that flavor without being nearly so hostile to the players]
Sabreclaw CR 3 LE Aberration This humanoid creature has greasy black fur over its body and leathery wings growing from its back. Its face is distorted, rugose and vaguely simian. Its left hand is prehensile, but its right is taken up with a single oversized claw.
Sabreclaws are unnatural creatures, created through fleshwarping to be soldiers without goals or desires of their own. Sabreclaws are found in squads, called wings, almost exclusively; a lone sabreclaw is likely to be the survivor of a destroyed wing, and is usually desperate, insane or both. Sabreclaws do not have a functional individual identity—they think of themselves as agents of their creator, and view other members of their wing the same way typical creatures think of their arms and legs as parts of themselves.
Sabreclaw wings fight en masse, dive-bombing a target and tearing them to pieces with their namesake claws. Their tactics are usually uncreative, but effective: gang up on a single target until it stops moving, move onto the next one. The more sabrewings are clustered together, the more effective combatants they become, and a sabrewing can even relay hit points to a wounded comrade to keep them in the fight longer. Whether a sabreclaw wing retreats to choose its battles, or goes out in a blaze of glory, depends more on the desires of their master than it does any tactical sense or personal choice for the sabrewings.
Unlike many fleshwarped monster, sabreclaws are created from non-sapient creatures, namely baboons. They are always made in batches—if a single sabreclaw awakens without a wing to call its own, it lashes out violently and uncontrollably. Fledgling fleshwarpers may view using animals to create fleshwarps as a lesser evil than transforming humanoids, but few creators are resolute enough to remain at that level of mad science. Indeed, sabreclaws are often used to gather “raw materials” by their masters. Sabreclaws are carnivorous, but require much less food and water than natural creatures of their size.

Always check.
A few things you could look for or do:
0 (Always do this): Take a breather, try to calm your emotions. Fake news want you to feel a certain way so you believe them!
Now.
1. Do they cite their sources?
2. Search up something that was claimed to be true by the source and check with other sources (be wary if there is no other sources.)
3. Search up WHAT ORGANIZATION(S) FINANCE THE NEWS OUTLET. Be especially wary if it's by a Political party or a company in close cooperation with a Political Party
4. Check the URL (if it seems to be an 'edu' domain, but is followed by a ".co" or "Io", it likely is a fake site.)
5. Be wary if the info is protrayed as SENSATIONAL or seems TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.
6. If your resource has an ABOUT US section, read it. Modt reputable websites WILL have an about us and a way to contact them.
7. Check the Authors credentials. Why are *they* an authority on the matter? Do they currently work in that field? Check their LinkedIn, if available. Google the authors name.
8. Does the article only present one side of a debate? Then it is biased. That is not necessarily bad but make sure to get all sides of the arguments to make a well-based opinion
9. BE AWARE of CONFIRMATION BIAS. People tend to seek and interpert info and evidence in the way that confirms their belief or expectations. Try to be neutral. Don't fall into this trap
THIS IS NOT ALL so well explained, but i tried my best /gen
I have linked resources and such below. Will be updating this post. making edits if i see mistakes, etc. PLEASE MESSAGE ME of more tips and resources and such that might be helpful! I would appreciate it /gen

Opus Minor "Opus Minor" 2019 (unpublished recordings 1970 - 73) France Psych Hippie Rock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqm4Y09PjfE&ab_channel=MonsterMelodiesRecord
Monster Mélodies presents an unpublished recording of Opus Minor, an underground Parisian group with undeniable musical qualities, who gave numerous concerts during its brief existence from 1970 to 1973 but never had the opportunity to publish its recordings. The record consists of an instrumental track, seven songs sung in French and three more songs in English, in which the band, beyond its influences, creates its own musical universe. In September 69, at the École Normale Supérieure of Cachan (ENS), three student teachers meet: Jean-Claude Lardrot, Jean-Louis Grassi, and Guy Aicart. They decided to start a rock band called Opus Minor. The first, who had taken piano lessons and played in his teens as a singer-guitarist in bands, focused on the keyboards and the vocals. The second, who had already participated as a guitarist in short-lived, country-folk bands, focused on the bass and the vocals. The third discovers his passion for the drums. A first guitarist joins them but is soon replaced by Philippe Marcenac, a student in architecture at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. A fifth accomplice, Daniel Reynet, takes care of the sound system and the technical and material matters. At student house parties, Opus Minor played covers of Cream, John Mayall. During the summer of '70, inspired by the hippie movement, the band members got a taste of community life playing every night in a club of a holiday village in the Hérault. The band then composed its first titles in English and French, in which we find the post-May '68 spirit. In 1971, Opus Minor won a student group contest organized by RTL and starts to perform often in various Parisian prestigious schools. Invited in June of the same year to the festival of Auvers-sur-Oise organized by couturier Jean Bouquin, Opus Minor and four other bands performed just in time before the rain and everything sank in the mud. For a year they rented a suburban house in Villepinte to practice every weekend, and they'd go back to their rehearsal studio in the basement of ENS Cachan. This is where, from April 28th to May 1st of '73, the original compositions finally published on this album were recorded. But the same year, three of the band members are appointed to teaching positions located in different provinces too far away, which resulted in the band coming to an end. A playlist dedicated to the murderous but incredibly moe capo of the CR:5 :D
Tumblr media
Have this banner of my two favorite 'Mad Dogs' (this playlist has nothing to do with Majima I just think he and Giulio are really cool):
Tumblr media
Rad Giulio art by @someruco (originally from pixiv but the artist deleted all their works, the OG image here)
Rad Majima art by @krng_fu
Vane Lily - BUTCHER VANITY ft. Yi Xi
A song that I got recommended by YouTube through a short Homicipher fanvid. Because I love the idea of cannibilism as some twisted form of love I was intrigued, and it's just so earworm-y. The lyrics which talk about that kind of hunger are wonderfully written, with lines like:
Oh, your heart Aortic work of art My love, my knife To carve it out, your life
I seriously love this verse. Also the lines sung in Mandarin brought a tear to my eye QQ It flows so well!
2. Sweet Pool OST - The Hunger
Composed by Tomita Ryouji with vocals by Ken1, the ED song to Makoto's ending in sweet pool. Makoto's ending traumatized me but the song is 🔥fire🔥 so it's ok~
I'm lying it's never ok.
Tumblr media
Giulio may not be an established cannibal but frankly I think headcanon-ing him as eventually becoming one isn't out of the question.
3. The GazettE - FILTH IN THE BEAUTY
THE GazettE song. It's the song I would recommend to people wanting to get into the GazettE, arguably their most iconic song. I want to give a special shout-out to the female vocals in this song because while the song is already awesome with the gang vocals backup, the female vocals elevate it. It represents the 'beauty' in this song perfectly.
Especially the part that goes 'sexual disgrace', this song is filthy but it's just such a good song I can only lavish the highest praise on it xD
4. Yakuza 0 OST - Receive You The Subtype
Composed by Hidenori Shoji, I was debating whether to put The Subtype or The Hyperactive and thought The Subtype fits Giulio better, this song served as Majima's battle theme for his Mad Dog fighting style in Yakuza 0, and I love the dangerous and crazed tone this version of Receive You has. Much like a mad dog waiting to strike, and then going full bonkers.
I also find it really neat that both Giulio and Majima are referred to as 'Mad Dog' (狂犬/kyouken) and are both part of the Mafia.
5. Coda - Bloody Stream ~mito remix ver.~
A dubstep remix of the best JoJo OP Bloody Stream. I don't know why but I felt dubstep suits Giulio, it's just a gut feeling of mine xD.
Also because JoJo, you can never go wrong with JoJo.
6. Mittsies - Titanium
You may know Mittsies as the composer of the OST for Helltaker and Awaria, the game with the sharply-dressed demon girls and the game where you kiss ghost waifus. Both trouble for my bisexual ass.
Titanium is the track that plays during the Examtaker boss fight and believe me when I say that like Helltaker it's addicting. xD
7. Mittsies - Heartbreaker
The BPM of this song breaks my heart 💔 it goes especially hard during the final boss fight in-game.
8. Koshotengai no Hashihime OST - eyes only (vocals by 川名唯 Kawana Yui)
ED song of Hashihime of The Old Book Town. It sounds lively but with that tinge of melancholy I just love so much. Looking at the lyrics and you realize it's a sad love song, which may involve deceiving your lover as a form of love, or currently going through a sort of insincere love. Unfortunately, I'm not an expert on song analysis (sadly) so only the songwriter Kurosawa Rinko knows what it's really about xD
It pairs really well with Yokan by Dir en grey. Maybe have some Yōkan while listening...
9. yama - 偽顏(Nisekao/Fake Face)
I learnt of this song through an old friend, and initially thought it was Korean at first but then realized it was Japanese. I feel that that it's sung in such a way that mirrors K-pop, but it's quite the catchy song with a music video that my friend describes as 'being great for headcanon-ing your ships into'. I agree xD
I can totally picture Giulio and Gian as the characters in the video xD
10. Yakuza 0 OST - Cabaret Sunshine Fake Love (Ambient After Hours Ver. by GeorgeTheStrange)
The fact that I have placed yet another song from Yakuza 0 shows how amazing and diverse its soundtrack is. I adore this ambient version of Cabaret Sunshine Fake Love and it sounds like something that would play after Giulio and Gian had a long night at the Cabaret Club, which we know is of no use to them because they're both very gay.
It's morning, and then there's this scene of Gian just blabbing about x and y while Giulio just lovingly/longingly stares at him as this song plays in the background. And then they lock eyes.

Leading spaces are removed (on paste)
Tabs are converted to spaces and leading tabs are removed (not tested much)
Non-breaking spaces are converted to regular spaces (which can be leading!) nvm they are just hard to copy, me smart
Form feed characters are new lines on iOS (also, vertical tabs take up no space)
Everything else... appears not to get touched!
I am missing some details on the conversions; for example, I know that if you don't paste, leading spaces can be preserved:
some text this is preceded by three spaces
This could use some testing with blockquotes, chat blocks, etc as well, but pasting multiline stuff into the Gutenberg post editor is basically completely broken, so I sort of can't be bothered.
(Also, if you paste something with <angle brackets around it> with command-alt-shift-v, it disappears because Gutenblr thinks it's HTML. Fun.)
edit: also, every time I edit this post, some of the bolding moves around. awesome.

This is a maintenance category, used for maintenance of the Wikipedia project. It is not part of the encyclopedia and contains non-article pages, or groups articles by status rather than subject. Do not include this category in content categories.
This is a tracking category. It builds and maintains a list of pages primarily for the sake of the list itself. They are not part of the encyclopedia's categorization scheme.
This category is hidden on its member pages—unless the corresponding user preference (appearance → show hidden categories) is set.
These categories can be used to track, build and organize lists of pages needing "attention en masse" (for example, pages using deprecated syntax), or that may need to be edited at someone's earliest convenience.
These categories also serve to aggregate members of several lists or sub-categories into a larger, more efficient list (discriminated by classifications).
"Unprintworthy" redirects are redirect pages on Wikipedia that aid online navigation, but would have little or no value as pointers to target articles in a hard-copy book. The name of a redirect may be unprintworthy for a number of reasons, including being nearly identical to the name of the target page, containing typographical errors, or not being encyclopaedic. Redirects are not unprintworthy just because the name may be offensive to some, unless the name is also not encyclopaedic.

Tarantubat Swarm
Tumblr media
Image by Anthony Carpenter, © Kenzer and Co.
[The tarantubat existed in Hackmaster 4e, but I didn’t pay much attention to it then. It’s not very mechanically distinctive in either edition. But this art! It’s definitely more than just a winged tarantula, and I feel like if these were real, some people would try to keep them as pets.]
Tarantubat Swarm CR 3 N Magical Beast This swarm of fluttering creatures contains hand-sized creatures that combine the features of a tarantula and a bat. Each has large ears, multiple eyes and eight legs, six of which serve as support structures for two leathery wings.
Tarantubats are forest dwelling chimeras combining features of spiders and bats. They are believed to be distant relatives of spiderbats, but their overall body plan is much more arachnid than chiropteran. Tarantubats are subsocial carnivores, nesting in trees covered with webbing and descending en masse to attack large prey. Creatures that are close to a ravenous swarm are dusted with the tiny, itchy hairs of the tarantubats, which form a cloud around them when in flight. Prey is incapacitated with venomous bites, wrapped in webs and slowly consumed. Tarantubat swarms have more males than females—males are smaller and shorter-lived, and females are large in order to produce lots of glistening eggs. Egg sacs are embedded inside of paralyzed prey, and the juveniles feed on the provisions granted to them by the colony.
A single tarantubat can be taken as a familiar. Treat it as a scarlet spider familiar, except that it has a fly speed of 30 feet (average maneuverability).

Note
That still fucking boggles my mind that they're business partners with a guy who made money off the Iraq War. We live in a bad timeline.
he is their company COO like dude really donated to the Iraq war, invests in crypto and en/eff/tees and has straight up said "Critters are stupid. Slap a logo on anything and they'll buy it. No offense but this is easy money. We can charge anything we like." (and this is from an artist who heard this firsthand and isn't on good terms w CR anymore). tbh in that quote... he is factually correct bc cr could pack the cast's shit in a nice little box and their fans would STILL pay a 1000USD for each. for the collector's edition.

Tolwar
Tumblr media
Image by Todd Lockwood,, © TSR, Inc.
[Some of these Dragon Magazine conversions are a bit of a homecoming for me. When I was in high school and as an undergraduate, I was a regular on EN World, and I helped Kevin Baase and the late Eric Jansing convert monsters to 3rd edition for the Creature Catalogue project. So I remembered working on this guy the first time around almost 15 years ago. What I did not remember (or know, because I was working from just copied text rather than PDFs or print magazines) was that these were written and illustrated by Todd Lockwood! Todd Lockwood is still the go-to cover artist for Drizzt novels, and was one of the major designers of the look of D&D 3.0, but I had no idea he did some game design as well.]
Tolwar CR 6 N Magical Beast This creature looks like an undersized elephant, with leathery skin and huge ears. It has neither a trunk nor tusks. Instead, its face ends in a pig-like snout.
Tolwars are herbivores with powerful telekinetic powers. They live in grassland environments, and are fond of water, traveling long distances between ponds and rivers during the dry season. Tolwars are peaceful and playful among themselves, living in herds and using their abilities to splash water or throw grass at each other. When threatened, however, they can use this power with deadly force, hurling logs and boulders. Their primary melee weapon is their sheer bulk, and they can crash down on attackers with their feet to deal devastating damage.
Because of their strength and magical properties, tolwars are coveted as beasts of war and burden. Strong stone paddocks clear of debris are necessary to keep them housed without them being able to use their telekinesis, and they require large amounts of food and water to be kept healthy. Tolwars do not take well to captivity, and are best trained if reared from an infant, isolated from other tolwars. Many druids see tolwar husbandry as cruel, and seek to put an end to the practice.
Tolwars live short lives, seeming to burn themselves out with their psychic abilities. A tolwar is fully grown by four years of age and dies of old age around its twentieth year.

It must still concentrate in order to use a sustained force or combat maneuver. Tolwars typically use this ability in its violent thrust application, flinging stones or logs (up to 6d6 damage for a 150 lb. object). The save DC is Charisma based. Telekinetic Shield (Su) A tolwar gains a deflection bonus to its Armor Class against ranged attacks, including rays, alchemical items and firearms.
