Cotton Cookie but as a Madoka Magica magical girl! I think her witch name would be Shepard ^w^
(Text in bottom right in case you can’t read it is “Magic is cotton + sheep related.”)
Thinkin about it, she probably can heal like Sayaka bc her wish was to heal someone else. Her magic comes out of her hat like Mami and her lantern is her weapon.
I came up with this after I had the thought that Sherbet and Cotton are kinda like Madoka and Homura in a way. Cotton and Homura both wanted to protect and save their best friends to the point they’d do impossible things to try and help (Cotton looking for that flower iirc, Homura making her whole wish about protecting Madoka). In the end, their attempts were futile and Sherbet and Madoka die and become some kind of powerful being (Sherbet becoming a herald of nature, Madoka the Principal of Cycles). The major difference is that, while Cotton grew up and becomes an old lady (btw old lady Cotton has my HEART) and meets her old friend again, Homura became the literal devil and separated the mortal Madoka from the goddess.
Wow that was long. Also Cream Puff would totally become a magical girl under Kyubey too. Maybe Walnut too so we have a trio?

I have a 10 year goal; to scan, archive, preserve, and teach others about the Story of Seasons series as a cornerstone of the videogame industry.
I'm just one person, but there are so many tenets of development that are applicable across the board, even if this series is life/farm sim aligned.
I don't always agree with the philosophies of design presented by Wada, Hashimoto, or even more recently Nakano or Hoshina. But I don't have to in order to know that they brought foundational principles to the table and continued to foster the series' longstanding legacies.
These philosophies, however, have not always been publicly available. Only in more recent years (the last decade) has there been articles which provided translation for specific releases and interviews with producers. (Thanks, Nintendo Life and Sal Gematsu!)
In the shadow of Stardew Valley, which exists as a love letter to the Story of Seasons series, it's not always easy to get more people interested in the niche.
But it still should be said that the series has been attributed to many an indie game in some shape or form, and even some AA-AAA games.
As a game dev myself, I was able to pursue this career thanks to the love and passion for development that I found by being a fan of this series.
In return, I want to be able to share what hasn't been before, so that others may find similar outcomes. Or to just enjoy the archives. :)

For anyone wondering about the next update, I'll give a bit of a personal answer so bear with me.
The reality is that I have been emotionally exhausted for quite a while (some years at least), and despite my overwhelming love for the game and its community, writing takes a lot of energy, which I often lack. I cannot even give you an estimate, because as you might know I tend to binge write all content and then have months of absolutely nothing. The last update, for example, took me less than a month where I was completely consumed only by that, and while it's exhilarating it is also exhausting.
So, I don't know when the next update is coming, and unfortunately I cannot give you an estimate either. I can only say that I am thinking about the game and you will definitely know when I will be having the next burst of productive writing.

so when it comes to chastity we kinda just fell into it but it is a lot of fun and yes we have thoughts and advice.
practically speaking 24/7 chastity is kinda a pain in the arse. as is hygiene. we're kinda of the opinion that vagina chastity is a messier affair than a cock cage too, since cunt belts go all the way around.
there's a lot of chafing points too. we'd definitely recommend going for short periods and making sure you have someone keyholding and keeping things fresh. after a while chastity fucks with your libido and mental health so you want to make sure you're monitored, and let out at least once every couple of weeks for some overstim or edging.
it's a lot more fun with someone else holding the keys for sure, holding them yourself gets a bit depressing. over time the impact of teasing lessens, in some ways you have to know that the chastity isn't permanent, even if release is kept just around the corner.

alhaitham & grief
i kinda wonder if alhaitham's breakup with kaveh led to a kind of compounded grief
like when his grandma died he was like "ok that was the one person who i knew could understand me, guess ill just keep being myself and ignore everyone else"
and then he met kaveh and was like "holy cow there is someone on my level and who gets me but is also WRONG about a lot of things despite being so brilliant, i need to study him further and in great detail"
but then when they broke up and kaveh said he regretted their friendship...
that sunk in as: oh, he was right all along actually
alhaitham's grandmaother was truly the one person who he knew could understand him
he thought kaveh would have been the same, but they dont see eye to eye on too many critical things
they both used to think that their differences made them better but maybe there are some divides too big to cross...
after his grandmother's death, he had distracted himself out of thinking about his grief (by being busy with all the mundane administrative tasks around death, ie her funeral, estate, getting enrolled at the akademiya)
but now its very much back in his face in the aftermath of the thesis breakup
after all he quit the major project he was working on! so he has plenty of time to… dwell on it
after a while i think he processes his emotions and starts intellectualising it again
and thus starts working on the factors that caused the fight and all that (hence why he's no longer that direct with kaveh etc)
but i bet one of the first reactions he had was like partially having to reconcile with that repressed grief

Viktor only became a "main character" when she was able to remember the cycles. It's difficult to truly say any agent, over the course of the plot of Lobotomy Corporation, was a "main character" - perhaps the main character of their individual stories, yes, but taking the whole of the cycle account, there was never a day where it would be Viktor that was the "main character." A side character, a B-plot character, a funny gag about an agent that hated their captain oh-so-very much - well, she'd hate these descriptors of herself. But it was only when Viktor was aware of the cycles, running through the same thing, over, and over, and over again - that is when the spotlight came onto Viktor, the heroine of Day 49. Cycles appear a lot.
The cycle of becoming the one you hated. The black, short-cut hair, the golden irises, meant imply "this is an Apocalypse Bird," or, more simply, "this is Rook." They are differentiated only by their silhouette now, instead of by color, and even then, Viktor's coat stretches far back enough to resemble a cloak at the right angles. Behaviorally, she acts sadistic and cruel, how one would expect an Arbiter to act (Rook's never been up to snuff with what an Arbiter "should" be - but this is not about him). A penchant for violence, quick thinking, tendency to antagonize. She'd hate herself, if she was someone else.
The cycle of repeating the past. An Arbiter, brought to justice by a Color Fixer. So what, if the two repeating the cycle are weaker than their counterparts? They can learn to do it better. They have an infinite amount of time to learn, an infinite amount of life. The two elders watch, their disapproval palpable. They should have been the ones to end it, clasping each others' hands tightly and pulling away with equal force. Rook wants to escape (liar. He doesn't, finding a comfort in the regularity of his head being lopped off, being the one unable to fight back - he is the innocent one, the just one), but Viktor wants to stay. A cycle brings stability, comfort, predictability. What happens when the cards are in the air?
Viktor figures, once she becomes a Color (in a nearby reality, one watched but never touched), that the cycle will repeat for her, one day. She'll raise a protégé, mistreat them horribly. They run away, and a few years later, they encounter each other, clash, and the student wins, taking the Silver title from her mantle. It's a chilling possibility. A comforting possibility. She knows what happens next in the story.
---
The ouroboros is the symbol of infinity, looping, cycles. Snakes, known for their Silver Tongues, tempter of Eve; they eat their own tails. Always growing, always shrinking, forever in pain - and it is not immortal. A cycle does not live in a vacuum, though it acts like it might. The easiest way to bring a person out of its trance... is to cut the tail off.

I recently read The Northern Caves by nostalgebraist and I thought it was quite good and then I read it again and I thought it was even better…it starts very grounded and then gets very weird, in a way that is frustrating but cohesive.
The crux of it for me is summed up by the podcast guys: "Fannish analysis is on, almost you could say a continuum with the sort of paranoid and delusional thinking that Lotke ended up with." The story feels about fannish analysis, engaging with it as both a social phenomenon and an art form. The "separation," that magic infohazard, shares a number of traits with Aaron's theoryposting—excessively literal, internally consistent, totally arbitrary, a deep source of purpose for its practitioners. This throughline is what makes the story cohere for me. (I think it also applies to the podcast guys themselves, who are wrong about everything because they approach the events from a, not necessarily literal like Aaron, but very limited perspective. Truly, it is insane how wrong they are. About everything.)
Other stuff. Chesscourt itself is Homestuck-coded; TNC is act 7, Aaron is bladekindeyewear (I don't know the authorial intent here—maybe bladekindeyewear is only one of a Type of Guy that nostalgebraist is riffing on more generally—but Aaron is very bladekindeyewear). TNC feels like a love letter to fandom, kind of; the early-aughts setting lets you play up the "random group of people joined by common interest who would never otherwise be in a room together" aspect that you don't get as much in the social media era. Really good character voices, especially for such a big roster. I appreciate the unreliability of the narrator and ambiguity of the maybe-spec-fic elements; simultaneously makes me want to put on and take off my Aaron goggles. I did not realize on my first read that Jenny was dating (or "dating") Kelsey; not sure what to make of that except that it makes the podcast guys look even more clueless.

bro I’ve been cooking on Mega’s lifetrap quiz results from the other day.. the way that defectiveness scored high for him and apparently that’s a reflection of one’s self esteem…
I think it’s directly tied to his perceived betrayal and rejection from Optimus. The way he was so close to op, and let him see so much of him, only to be deemed ‘too much work,’ or ‘too damaged’… yeah. Definitely tanked his perception of whether someone could ever unconditionally love him.
He’s like. The person I showed the most of myself to thought I was too much. Great.
