“Oh.” You say, your fingertips tracing over it. “When…”

“After I got sober I didn’t know if I would make it.” He tells you, his palm covering yours, clasping it to his chest. “This tattoo, it got me through some really tough times in the beginning and that’s because of you, because of your strength, your tenacity, your resilience. I remembered all of that everytime I looked in the mirror and I knew that I could be better.”

“Christ.” You murmur, tilting your head up to meet his tempestuous blue gaze. “Rehab really did change you didn’t it?”

“Yea.” He says softly. “It made me see what a selfish asshole I was, that I just kept putting myself first even before the painkillers.”

“Frank…”

“No Ivy I did. I know I did.” He whispers, his forehead coming to rest upon yours. “I’m trying to be the man that you deserve, the one you want to come home to each night. I know we are a long way from there right now but that is where I’m heading. A lifetime worshipping the ground you walk on, kneeling at your alter, giving every single part of myself to you. That’s my endgame.”

“You are making a very compelling argument for that lifetime.” You inform him, your lips brushing over that tattoo on his chest. His breath hitches, his head tipping back as your fingertips unfasten the button of his jeans. You guide the zipper down and the denim slips past his hips as you cup him through his boxer briefs. “How about I kneel at your alter and you just give me this part of you for now?”

No idea where to put this but I’ve been giving the Audrey x Siegfried progression more thought. And tbh I am now quite convinced that we are unlikely to see any actual evolution of their relationship in canon — until near or at the very end of the show.

Bc I think the story some / all of us thought the show writers were telling vs the story they’re actually telling is actually quite different. The story that I, at least, thought they were telling, was that Audrey and Siegfried were becoming progressively more ready and getting to the point to eventually admit their feelings to one another. It seemed intentional especially in S4, and appeared to be escalating toward a realisation or admission of some kind. The tension, the jealousy, the pining etc. It was all so palpable and truly delicious, and felt like it was simmering to a boiling point.

Come season 5 however, that all came to a weird and screeching halt with the introduction of Miss Grantley. (Though to be fair, most of season 5 felt weird and quite off kilter.) The heat had suddenly dialled back to a warmish camaraderie at best, and tepid at its lowest points of the season. But Siegfried pining over this random woman he met felt even more jarring compared to Miss Harbottle or Diana or anyone else before, mostly bc it didn’t seem to align with this progression we thought was building toward the AxS endgame. It seemed so clearly against his feelings (which we thought he’d already woken up to) for Audrey, and therefore felt completely wrong and out of place. (This is the same man who looked like he was about to die at the thought of her leaving to marry Gerald, correct? The same man who toasted her before Jesus in the S4 CS right??)

So anyway, after much deliberation and thought about these two fictional characters, and in light of the PBS version of the episodes having aired now, I have come to a new conclusion. I now believe that the writers are not actually intending to write the AxS in a linear fashion at all, nor are they slowly getting them together in a glacial manner in the way we thought. I suspect they will eventually get together, but unfortunately I don’t know how much of that will be developed on screen. More likely, it’s going to happen close to or at the end of the whole series. And until then, I think they’re using AxS essentially as a kind of straight-baiting, for lack of better word choice. Because the writers obviously know fans ship it, and they play into the romance, but I’m no longer convinced that they have any intention to do anything except dangle the carrot in front of us.

To be clear, I’m not suggesting that AxS haven’t progressed throughout the series. They’ve definitely come a long way, both as individuals and as a partnership over the years. Their deep and special bond has been possibly the most integral part to all these other positive changes in their lives. They are one another’s life rings in every storm, no two ways about it. The parallels with the actual married couple in the show are not accidental, after all. But as for a tangible, said out-loud confirmation of mutual romantic feelings? An actual kiss under the mistletoe? Or even the use of first names?? I’m sad to say, it doesn’t seem likely any time soon. (And I’d never be happier than to be wrong).

However, going forward into season 6, I suspect that we may get a few intimate / romantic scenes like we did in S5, and if we’re lucky, another handhold. We may even get a few jealousy scenes if either of them have other short-term love interests, which of course will not last. And we will definitely have sweet co-parenting moments, and lots of framed shots where the average viewer will be convinced they’re married. But suffice to say, it feels like a stalemate, for the foreseeable future.

And it does actually explain a lot of things. It explains why there are always minor love interests introduced for Siegfried, every season. And it explains why Audrey and Siegfried have not hugged, (or danced or kissed) nor moved onto a first name basis. It explains why Audrey has not had her own realisation moment yet, about her own feelings toward Siegfried. It explains why even though they are both finally single and emotionally available, they have not wound up in each others’ arms. Because those things would be linear, and that’s apparently not the story the writers want to tell. And unless there’s a definite shift in Season 6, I think this will-they-won’t-they dynamic will remain for as long as they can stretch it out.

All that being said, the point of this post isn’t to be a negative naysayer, I promise. I will be very very relieved to be wrong in all these predictions, and will happily eat my words. It’s definitely disappointing of , because what felt so intentional and well developed and had been so beautifully delivered by the actors, now feels a bit like a trick. I admit I feel a little duped, though it may well be (at least partly) self-inflicted. But even if we may not love the route they’re taking to get there, I am still at least, 100% certain that Audrey and Siegfried are going to be the final destination.

"What?" I ask, glancing up at him as I roll onto my back, stretching my arms over my head. He runs his hand along my side, a proprietary touch that pauses at my hip. If the boy were down for a nap, I wouldn't mind taking it a little further. The sun is warm and the shade is so, so nice. I could watch the world go by out here.

I think we deserve to.

"A mating ceremony-"

"Not this again."

"It was important to you-"

"At one time, yes, I think it was," I admit, tugging at his shirt until he leans in to kiss me. "But you're alive, you're here, and truly that's what I wanted most. My mates, with me, raising our child. What could be better than that?"

"We can give you so much more-"

"I don't need it," I huff, grabbing his chin. I kiss him just to shut him up, our lips lingering for a long moment. When I pull away, there are stars in his eyes, and he's looking at me like I put them there. "Silly male. I just need you, both of you. I am content, Rhys. We have it all."

"Ma!" Nyx squeals across the lawn, and I glance over to see Feyre whisking him off the ground, into her arms. She's smiling, her first real smile in what feels like a very long time. We really do have it all. I couldn't be more lucky.

Chris Storer's denial of sydcarmy is frankly bc of racism. I mean their insistence that they aren’t even a possibility just screams oh how could a dark skinned BW be a love interest. And Claire is like a self insert for Chris storer to project his fantasies onto. So the story itself is pointing toward a sydcarmy endgame but I don’t think CS wants that. Do you think they stand a chance?

If Chris genuinely did not want sydcarmy he would not be constantly making scenes of them alluding to them being soulmates. He's doing it on purpose. The panic attack, table scene, hamachi dish, scarf dish etc were not accidents.

He's never had to talk about his projects to the press like this before. Clearly they all were in desperate need of some media training and to all get on the same agenda of what they were going to say about them without sounding completely repulsed by the idea of sydcarmy. Cause in the end it's going to bite them in the ass and have all the same racist reddit misogynists that they fooled into loving Claire up in arms when Carmy doesn't end up with her, and even worse ends up at least acknowledging or professing his love for Syd.

I think he went in very race blind into this show and did not fully think through how dragging that Claire story line only to have sydcarmy at the last minute would be bad optics on him. I don't think Claire is Chris' fantasy, I think he is actually constantly making fun of her and the idea of her. Which is why he has the dumbest characters in his show riding hard for her but also being gross and misogynistic towards her. He's practically married to Gillian, and I definitely do not think she is meant to be a representation of her.

The bulk of the story is about Syd and Carmy's relationship to and with each other. It's going to stay that way and there will be a happy ending for the both of them together. But how they go about that happy ending and chose to actually show them together in the end is really what is going to have people deciding whether or not they've made her into a sort of disposable black girlfriend that only plays out in like the last episode of the show.

Hello! I honestly ADORE your headcanons, and would like to suggest you a primordial, if that is fine?

Ananke is the  Orphic personification of inevitability, compulsion, and necessity, customarily depicted as holding a spindle.

She is considered the most powerful dictator of fate and circumstance. Mortals and gods alike respected her power and paid her homage.

She is also considered the mother of the Fates, hence she is thought to be the only being to overrule their decisions.

Her Roman counterpart is Necessitas.  

Ananke is the mother (or another identity) of Adrasteia, the distributor of rewards and punishments.

I think it would be pretty cool if she were to have any demigod kids/champions, and I honestly think that she and Chaos were the first before everything else!

Alright so there was a reason why I didn’t put Ananke in the Primordia Demigod H/Cs storyline portion, not because I disagree with Ananke, it was just harder to justify into a storyline based H/C format because Ananke comes from Orphic cosmology which is different from Ancient Greek mythology (say Hesiod notations) and while they do bear similarities, it is also very different. However, if I’m allowed to do some funky finicky shenanigans for the sake of giving H/Cs, I do have some! Though it might not be as detailed as the PRIMORDIAL DEMIGOD H/Cs. Pardon if it doesn’t make too much sense because I don’t think I’ve grasped Ananke too well yet. 

Also note I’m going to treat this like the Roman mythology and comparing it to Greek mythology etc-

To say which came first, Ananke or Chaos, no one is entirely sure because they were the firsts. Time, although personified in Khronos - Ananke’s counterpart, the personification of time, not the Titan-, there was no chronology in their perspective. They simply came into existence.

Perhaps one did exist first, but neither Chaos or Ananke cared. Just as Ananke and Khronos broke the Primal Egg of Creation that created the realms of earth, heaven, and sea for Gaea to settle and allow Pontus and Ouranous to take place as well.

Being the primordial goddess of Necessity, compulsion, and inevitability, and as the mate to Time, being a demigod champion of Ananke means to be the force of change.

If anyone has seen the Avengers: Endgame moment of Thanatos (no not the personification of (peaceful) death), where he goes “I am inevitable”? Yeah, you are the inevitable.

Considering Ananke is depicted using a spindle and her realm involves fate and circumstances, and the mother of the Fates, as the demigod champion of Ananke, you are burdened with the duty of people’s fates. You can see people’s strings of fate, how it wraps around them, how they lead to others, and so forth. You can also see people’s red string of fate, the string around their finger that connects to their destined one at a certain time and place.

In some sense, the child of Ananke can see someone’s past, present, and future.

If I had to reference the demigod champion of Ananke to someone in canon, it would either be Nemesis and the children of Nemesis, where they have a connection to distributing fortune and giving those people who deserve good and bad, but more inherent,  and maybe being able to manipulate luck? Like the children of Tyche. Somewhere in that realm but more leaning towards Fate.

Speaking of the Fates, another reference that we could use for the demigod of Ananke, would be the Moirai/Fates, but below that.

So while they can see peoples’ string of fates, they don’t really interfere with it. Sure, they can, but they can’t and shouldn’t because it is someone’s fate. You may be the demigod champion of Ananke, but you are also a demigod; half-mortal. You are still compelled to the universe law and the balance. You may be able to extend someone’s string of life; to the risk of thinning their string, weaving it accordingly with others, but you cannot play with someone’s string.

Overall, being a demigod champion of Ananke would be extremely neutral. They stand by the sidelines to oversee the tapestry being made of people’s strings of fate. They sit with the Moirai as they spindle the string of one’s life, measure, and cut. They can interact but never interfere unless its like a loose thread that they have to fix. 

If I had to reference what their role would be like, they would be the Watcher (Marvel) OR Doctor Manhattan/ The Spectre/ Phantom Stranger (Dc Comics).

ANYWAYS I love how no one in the show is really dislikable, even the supposedly “villains” (Cat King, Esther, even the two small people 😭) were honestly kinda likable and DEFINITELY had their moments where they ate/made me laugh.

Edwin and Charles are like honestly endgame and even the actors want it to happen SO! Loved Crystal, SHE WAS SO LIKE NOT UNBEARABLE I WAS SHOCKED (bc for some reason most shows make characters like her unbearable) . Niko is the moment and the goal. I did indeed cry when she jumped in the way to save Crystal (ngl twin could’ve took one for the team 🫡) (JK JK JK)

Okay dare I say it—Neal is not a bad guy. If I’m being honest, he was one of my favorite characters on the show, which becomes difficult when I’m such a heavy consumer of Captain Swan media which tends to run anti-Neal. Of course, I get that he makes a GOOD villain in CS fics, but I’m a BIG proponent of seeing Neal as the Nice Guy ™ every so often. On that train of thought,, this fic was a breath of fresh air. It draws inspiration from the Rachel/Joey/Ross plot line from FRIENDS, only Neal is a MUCH more amenable version of Ross (everybody repeat after me: FUCK that man). If you were someone that lowkey wished Joey and Rachel were endgame, this one’s for you.

love love love you!! as i said before initially pillow talk was supposed to be a jj centric. but then when rafe started looking like the better love interest despite kinda being the antagonist i was like, what the hell, sure. the present parts, like the storyline when they're like 4 months into jj and kie dating was pre written, and the flashbacks i write them before i post them, so the flashbacks helped me with being more #team rafe. jj is shit at handling emotions as stated in the last flashback so in the rafe endgame (which i kinda dabbled in writing) he was to no surprise, a dick. but i haven't gotten to the pogues finding out yet, so i'll probably use this ask as an inspo!💖

I saw you mentioned aml faker in a previous answer, and I was automatically summoned here (i dont make the rules sry). Please spill the beans (if u want to and are comfy to share).

ok. aml faker. so i didnt lie when i said i didnt have half the story but i have a vague outline in my head ill vomit it. what do i even talk about... the storyline / outline ideas i guess?

fic is gn be three chapters, similar to aml. prob not as long, im aiming for like, maybe 15k, 5k each chapter? its not gn be too lengthy. basically goes over his relationship with wangho and then deft and then extends to past-aml. chapter 1 is gn be his relationship with wangho and that downfall, ch 2 is with deft, and ch 3 is him and bengi. so kind of encompasses his whole life. you'll likely get a good amount of found family t1 yay and also quite a lot of our fav duo of bengi and faker!

yadda yadda he's happy with wangho but they break up "mutually" (it really was mutual guys it just wasn't working, but also sanghyeok sort of sees it as wangho broke up with him because of seongwoong). deft comes along yay happy second chance but also sanghyeok is a self-fulling prophecy so im sorry to all the deftker fans but... they're not endgame in amlverse. i apologize if this is sad and earth shattering to you. but i have NO plans for deftker endgame. hey, maybe when writing the fic it'll change but..>! lol. endgame is faker is single. oop. but he's comfortable with that and he sort of grows to love it without the bitterness. it's not a sad story, it's just a story focusing on familial and platonic relationships and everything in between. the last chapter is him growing into .. comfort i guess(?) with bengi and their partnership and plat relationship. surprise surprise bengi plays a large role in his love life bc of him struggling with those feelings of his.

so there's the word vomit. ill write it eventually when i am out of writers block and inspired. idk if anyone is really interested in it now though, because there's no romance endgame. cs like whats the point of reading if i already told u abt it 🫠 but im not going to NOT tell u about it since i did say id answer! the main issue now is i need to go learn math before i write it so. that'll probably delay it quite a lot. but there you go. hope its not disappointing.

i could spiel a lot more on aml faker but idk how much to word vomit. maybe i just leave that for the eventual fic to explain. mwa love u thank you sm for asking <3
