I dunno about you, but sometimes it’s easier for me to accept the truth that as a Christian, I am “loved, forgiven, and free”, without really embracing the second half of the story: I am also “sinful, broken, and *constantly* in need of God’s grace.” . . Today, however, these words felt like a personal reminder from God that I still have so much to learn; He still has so much to teach me about His Word and His ways…so “Be humble,” He says. I need to be teachable: open to being corrected, rebuked, and refined by His Word every day. I need to know that with God, there is never an end to the learning curve, and I may spend the rest of my life learning what it means to follow Christ. . . What about you? Are you sometimes tempted to think that you know all there is to know, that you know better than others—maybe even better than God—at this point in your life? You might not believe me, but I do it too! Sometimes I let my pride get the better of me, and my heart hardens against others’ (or even God’s) teaching and correction. Today's much needed bath! Haven't been able to take a proper bath for a while, so decided to have a lovely moisturizing soak. I used my first Lover Lamp, and I am so glad I stocked up! Dreamy vanilla and brazilian orange oil make for quite a romantic bomb. In addition to the LL, I also threw in a Floating Island bath melt, and used the remains of a Snowie bubble bar. To round it out, I swiped on some Cup O' Coffee to give my face some much needed love.
