[2025-06-23] Not a great day, more like autumn than early summer. But a great walk over 4 edges. Started over Froggatt Edge, then onto Curbar and Baslow before the climb up to White Edge. Underfoot the paths were dry, despite the recent rain. Must be the effect of the drying wind. A great walk, maybe my favourite in the Peak District.

Tideswell

Another early morning Zoom meeting for me before walking from my pub (The Horse and Jockey)into the centre of town and meeting Greg for a coffee.

I then had an hour or so of watching Jake play and his attempts to crawl.

It is not Fathers Day here but Elizabeth had a present for her father -Bluey socks and a wallabies beanie- very Australian flavour present!.

The Australian flavour was continued when George arrived ready to go out for lunch dressed in his Waratahs gear.

We then heraded for a traditional Sunday pub roast lunch at The Bridge Inn at Curbar about 15 minutes away . It was so amusing that the background music in the pub was a tape of Australian music mostly AC DC.

in the evening i met Greg , Daiane and jane a friend of Diane's whom I had met last year at The Star Inn for drinks. James joined us at a later stage and then walked me home. It is hard tio believe that he has now lived here for 19 years and has only been home to Australia twice in that time.
