I was talking to a real life friend a while back about the existence of anakin/sidious fic. She hasn't been the same. And she's a rarepair person. According to her, this ship passes the boundary of rarepair into cursedpair.

I mean she's right in that there are several red flags around the relationship--manipulation, age gap etc. Still, if we're still bound to real-life rules and boundaries in writing, where all characters and things happening to them are contained to the fictional world, where else can we be free?

Not posting this to disagree with her, more like to ponder a bit more on this.
