When the GDA released you from your prison sentence to fight in the Invincible war, you thought you were home free, you could escape. But when Sinister Mark recognizes you as this world's variant of his lost love he decides that he has to have you, whether you want it or not.

You never thought you'd live to see the day that the GDA let you go free, after all the horrific experiments they put you through. You were in their damned prison for five long years after you murdered your abusive father—chopped the bastard into little bits and set the family home on fire to burn him beyond the point where his regenerative powers could've saved him.

You had to do it. If you hadn't made damn sure he was dead, he would've came after you for revenge.

But no, Cecil Stedman really did let you back out into the free world… the only catch being that you have to help fight against a group of evil multiversal variants of your childhood best friend… not weird at all… Right.

A lot had changed while you were on the inside. Turns out, Mark is half… Viltrumite?—at least you think that's what Cecil said when he caught you up to speed on your way out of the facility.

Anyway, it turns out that Omniman is an ultra-powerful space alien bent on conquering Earth for his fascist space warrior empire.

It feels like a stark contrast from the Nolan you remember from childhood. He was reserved, but always nice to you when you came over to visit Mark… though, your family had its own secrets.

As you walk through the ruins of Chicago, watching the flying heroes battle variants of Mark overhead, you come to the realization that you can just leave if you want. No one would bother stopping you.

Your odds of survival are strong, even if you do end up in a fight with one of Mark's variants, thanks to your regeneration.

But the idea of being forced back into that GDA prison after the Invincible war is dealt with scares you more than the variant Marks do.

You don't trust Cecil to hold up his end of the bargain. Not one bit.

So you slink through broken alleyways, making your way far away from anyone else… until you're stopped in your tracks by a very familiar voice.

Mark's voice.

Cautiously, you turn to face him, but his malicious grin and that black and yellow version of the Invincible costume make it all too clear that this is not your Mark.

"Well, look what we have here…" He really does sound just like him… except for the sinister edge that sets him apart from the boy you once called a friend. "Long time no see."

Twitch Integration Part A, Customer Swap Stories #3

Recently, Twitch introduced a new integration with Swap Tech Enterprise that when enabled, at the end of the stream the highest donator would swap bodies with the streamer for a predetermined amount of time on the streamers end. John had heard about this and immediately started looking for a stream that had this enabled so that he could potentially experience a real life body swap. As he looked through all the current streams happening with the feature enabled, he came across dollthighs stream.

As people joined his stream, he let them know about the new feature and that he has currently enabled it. He also informed them that once the stream ended, the top donator would get to spend 2 days in his body, allowing them the chance to lead a stream on their own before switching back. John knew this would be the body he wanted to experience for a couple of days and joined the stream. Immediately, donations started to pour in and before he knew it, thousands of people will jumping on the chance to have just a couple of days in dollthighs body. As the stream started to come to an end, John sent a donation for 5,000 dollars came in, the highest dollthighs had ever seen in his time streaming.

“Well it looks like we have a winner!” dollthighs said as the notification popped. He mentioned that he would be ending the stream now and that the donator could expect to be in his body within the next couple of minutes. Once the stream ended, a notification popped up on John’s end stating that dollthighs had accepted the terms and conditions of the swap, and now all that was needed was his acceptance of the terms and conditions as well. He quickly skimmed through the terms and conditions and accepted them. Before he knew it everything went dark. As he came to, John noticed he was no longer in his room, but in a room where the walls to the ceiling were covered in dolls! He knew the swap must have worked and quickly ran to the bathroom. Looking at his new reflection in the mirror, he began to rip off his clothes in excitement! 

“This is going to be the best 2 days of my life” John exclaimed as he ran back to computer to start up a stream and play some video games!

Hypothetically speaking... if I could improve my Wednesday doll, or make another Jenna Ortega character (I'm thinking maybe Astrid Deetz or Tara Carpenter or something.) how could I do it?

Like with everything, I have thoughts.

One thing I've been thinking a lot about is the face sculpt. Yes, even after I went nuts looking for the one I eventually got and am currently using. I saw another sculpt that I really liked, and through that I found another one.

Here's the lineup:

My Froggy Stuff made a Wednesday with this Barbie, Fashionista 188. She cut, dyed, and styled the hair, colored the eyes, darkened the eyeshadow, and added freckles for the likeness and I'm pretty sure I've seen other people use this same doll to do custom Wednesdays.

I made mine with this Pink Passport Barbie. She's not perfect, you could argue that she's not even good, but I did what I could and I'm not posting a picture of her for discussion. Yall have heard my spiel.

However, I recently discovered the Claudette face mold and I really like it, but I don't see one with a skin tone that really matches what I'm going for. The closest I found was the black Holiday Barbie from 2016. The rest with this sculpt I found were either way too dark or way too pale.

I'm gonna start looking for this one (secondhand of course, cause that's how I get the majority of my dolls) but I won't know if she'll work or not until I see her in person. I got the BMR 1959 doll with this face recently, and that's when I noticed it kind of gave me the vibes I've been after even if my doll doesn't.

While looking at the Claudette sculpt, I discovered this one and... I love it. It's like a softer version of the other one, and I think that works really well. It's like the perfect middle ground between the two other sculpts on this post.

So much. But I don't know if she's the right pick either which kind of breaks my heart. This is Barbie Looks number 1 with the Lina face sculpt. The one that I think may be best out of all the ones with the sculpt that I've seen.

I love this sculpt a lot. She's so pretty and I've actually brought it up before because Barbie Looks 19 is one that I've been imagining as a Morticia for my dollhouse.

I think I'd like to use yarn to reroot one of these dolls if I could, because I think that would just be a nice texture and, if this hypothetical doll were going to just be an improved Wednesday, I think yarn fibers would result in really small braids. That's what I gathered from Hextian's Wednesday Addams video anyway.

Another reason is that I think it would be easier to style. I've handled material like it before and it stood on end when I moved it before slowly falling flat much later. One of my biggest issues when trying to style doll hair, is that it slides out of whatever I'm trying to do with it before I can get anywhere near finished with it.

I've said before that I like Integrity Toys type bodies because I think that they have some more realistic details than most Barbie bodies while still being poseable (Barbie bodies with some of those details I'm talking about only have the five points.)

Most of those Integrity Toys type bodies are really tall though, and I'm trying to be accurate so... that wouldn't work. Best pick would be a petite Barbie body or maybe a Poppy Parker (but that's really not that small so the petite is preferable). Jenna is only about 5 '1 after all.

But, I want to point out that I love the hands that go with those bodies. They're so much more realistic than Barbie hands are. Even the basic ones. Another note to make is that I'd want to paint the nails. Probably black since so many of Jenna Ortega's movies and shows are really freaking dark. (Wednesday, You, X, Scream, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, etc.) Maybe red.

I'd want to do the lipstick too. Similar to the nails. Though, I will be the first to admit that she doesn't really wear a lot of bold lip colors. They usually look pretty natural.

So... what do you guys think?

How do you feel about Wyllstarion? I've been obsessed with it for years, but I'll admit I've only played as Astarion romancing Wyll, not the other way around. And all the fanfics I've read annoy me for one reason or another. But I really do like the pairing, something about Mizora and Cazador both leaving them with scars, something about Wyll losing his place as the Ravengard heir - could he have noticed the Szarr situation if he stayed in the city, could he have rescued Astarion without the tadpole? Just a lot of interesting pieces to play with, except I don't see anyone playing with them. Sad

You know, I don't really feel any way about that pairing, if I'm to be honest? I haven't looked into it on purpose, and I haven't seen enough unintentionally that it would have intrigued me (whenever it's applicable, I'm generally more easily engaged by PC/NPC pairs, by seeing how someone would breathe life into a mostly blank character in such a way that they would fall for another, than I am by virtually any NPC/NPC ship), but I see what you mean. It doesn't personally appeal to me too much, I guess mostly because of differences in personality and the differences in their desires for a romantic partner that their individual arcs imply, but I can see that there is at least material to play with, things to base a connection on. A shared hometown, a somewhat similar personal arc of breaking the chains of effective slavery, what-ifs, even expressions of attraction, respective issues with a father-, and a twisted but thematically father-adjactent figure, Wyll just generally being a kind enough person not to punt Astarion into the Waking Sea... I get it, I do.

I'm trying to be very diplomatic about all of this, I don't want anyone to feel like they can't play with their toys however they want to, because they obviously can, these guys are all fucking fictional and what someone else does with them in their head is none of my fucking beeswax, but...

I feel like it's just sadly kind of telling, just how much more engagement I see (again, without ever seeking it out) of a combination of characters that I personally believe to be lacking in points of obvious interest (like if the most obvious thing they have in common is that they are the only two [insert adjective here] men on the game's main cast), than many others with clearly more meat on their bones, and there is not a shred of doubt in my mind that racism and misogyny (conscious or unconscious) both very much could have a hand in that.

If this doesn't apply to someone and they're seeing something in that combo that I'm not, they're more than welcome not to put this particular shirt on, again I don't really want it explained to me again lol, but... I don't think the trend of this happening within fandoms over and over again can be effectively denied.
