Biron Hydrothermal Emerald
COLOR: A very fine green colour that a natural emerald would feel jealous of. CHEMICAL COMPOSITION: BeAlSiO (BerylliumAluminiumSilicate).
CZ synthetic rough gems typically refer to Cubic Zirconia (CZ) stones that are in their raw or rough state before they are cut and polished into finished gemstones. Cubic Zirconia is a synthetic gemstone that closely resembles the appearance of diamonds but is much more affordable.
Tumblr media
Synthetic rough CZ gems are manufactured using a process called the "Czochralski process" or "hydrothermal method." In this process, the raw materials are melted and allowed to crystallize into the desired cubic crystalline form.
After the crystallization process, the CZ crystals are cut into rough shapes that are suitable for further processing. These rough stones are then carefully inspected and sorted based on quality and size before they undergo the cutting and polishing stages to become finished gemstones.
Cubic Zirconia is popular in jewelry making due to its brilliance, clarity, and affordability, making it an attractive alternative to natural gemstones like diamonds. However, it's important to note that CZ is not as durable or valuable as diamonds or other precious gemstones.

What Are The Benefits of Lab Created Gems?
Lab-grown gemstones have been lucrative in the jewelry industry. Since their appearance and the qualities resemble to natural gemstones, people are approaching this option widely.
Moreover, these gemstones offer a royal look to the wearers; therefore, they are gaining popularity among customers.
In addition, lab-created gems are produced in laboratories using particular chemicals and heat. You can also call them man-made gems, but that does not mean they are not genuine or authentic. The only difference is that lab-grown gems are crafted synthetically, whereas natural gemstones are extracted from the depths of the earth. In this article, we will discuss the benefits of lab-grown gems.
How do retailers promote ethical lab grown gemstones?
Since man-made gems are less expensive than natural ones and offer similar features, people worldwide are opting for the latter. Additionally, synthetic gems are sustainable alternatives to mined gemstones as they reduce the need for mining. Retailers promote these gemstones as eco-friendly and sustainable options to increase their demand. Apart from that, consumers are showing more interest in eco-friendly products, be it clothes, cosmetics, shoes, etc. They are looking for sustainable products. As a result, the retailers focus on the term ethical alternative while promoting lab grown gems in the market.
Tumblr media
Retailers aim to make people aware of the lab grown gemstones' sustainable and eco-friendly features, along with their royal and glamorous appearance. This will help attract customers who love sustainability.
What are the benefits of Ethical Lab-Grown Gemstones?
Lab-grown gems, also known as synthetic or cultured gems, offer several benefits compared to their naturally mined counterparts: Synthetic or cultured gems are the gems grown in laboratories, and they have a few advantages over the mined originals:
1. Ethical Sourcing: This means that lab grown gems are not associated with processes like mining that are associated with negative effects such as environmental effects, labor, and funding.
2. Environmentally Friendly: Lab grown gems have been observed to yield tremendous energy savings, and they are in harmony with the environment compared to mining.
3. Consistency in Quality: Lab created gems can also be grown under certain conditions, and the result in terms of color, clarity, and size is predetermined, which is not always possible when working with natural gems.
Tumblr media
4. Availability: Synthetic gems can be produced in mass quantities, making the supply much less dependent on the random and scarce availability of deposits, which is beneficial for consumers and the jewelry industry.
5. Cost-Effectiveness: Lab created gems are cheaper than natural gems, which increases their affordability.
6. Customization: Lab grown gems can be ordered in any way desired. They are customized, and the consumers get to decide what kind of gemstone they want by color, size, or shape.
7. Innovation in Design: This involves the specific cultivation of gems in a laboratory and has enabled jewelers to design new concepts on how to incorporate the gems in jewelries unlike the traditional methods of jewelries.
8. Reduced Market for Conflict Gems: Thus, lab grown gems contribute to the effectiveness of alternatives since they provide the same efficiency, but they have no negative outcomes as conflict gems that are associated with people’s rights infringement and violence in particular states.
Hence, CZ Rough Gems will be more responsible and moral as a product, and the prices are moderate enough to buy them; this will reduce the detrimental impact on natural gem mining.

Mineral Mondays: Diamond
Tumblr media
It’s Monday again, and this week’s mineral is diamond! I could talk forever about this one because a third of my degree was literally only about diamonds but I’ll try to keep it short(ish).
First things first - conflict diamonds aren’t really a thing anymore.
With that out of the way, let’s talk details! Diamonds are thought to have first been mined in India. Today, there are major deposits of diamonds all around the world, with the majority coming from Australia, South Africa, and Brazil (there are also good Namibian, Canadian, Indian, and Russian sources). The word diamond comes from the Greek adamas (unconquerable).
Diamonds can come in every color. The most valuable are red diamonds, but the rarest are orange. The majority of diamonds are in the brown, yellow, or grey color ranges. Natural diamonds actually do form in a diamond shape (technically an octahedron), but they can also be dodecahdral or just cubic, because they form in the cubic crystal system.
Diamond is the hardest known natural mineral, and is the defining mineral for 10 on the Mohs hardness scale. Surprisingly, though, diamonds are not tough. They’re actually rather brittle and have four directions along which they can easily split (called cleavage directions).
Tumblr media
Far left: dodecahedral diamond crystal, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles Middle left: photomicrograph of trigons on a fancy-colored diamond from the Oppenheimer Collection, Gemological Institute of America Middle right: fancy-colored diamond, Gemological Institute of America Far right: diamond “macle” from the Oppenheimer Collection, Gemological Institute of America Photographs are my own.
It can be tough to be fully confident that what you’re buying is a diamond because there are a TON of diamond simulants out there. Unless you’re in the fine specimen market (in which case don’t do your research on Tumblr, please), you’ll probably either be looking at industrial-quality rough, or faceted diamonds in jewelry.
If you’re buying diamond rough at a crystal shop, the majority will look like small, lumpy cubes, or just vaguely lumpy... lumps. They’ll probably be opaque and greyish yellow to black in color (pretty unremarkable, really. They look like gravel). Look for trigons - these natural triangular markings, which can look like triangles inside and on top of each other or like pointed scales, are a pretty solid sign that the stones you’re looking at are actual diamonds. Any flat surfaces on the diamond, however small, will also have a very high lustre - they’ll shine and sparkle unless the stone is really dirty! Usually, crystal shops will have crazy high prices on diamond rough. Try gem and mineral shows or mineral shops, which will have slightly better prices and higher quality pieces.
Faceted diamonds for jewelry are a totally different story. They’re almost always colorless (although yellow diamonds are becoming more popular), but can be found in whatever color you want, if you’ve got the money. Identifying this sort of diamond solely by appearance is next to impossible to the untrained eye, but sellers are usually pretty honest about whether or not what they have is diamond, and whether it’s natural or synthetic. Ask lots of questions, look at it under a microscope if they have one available, and see if they have a laboratory report for the stone (stones without papers will be cheaper, though). While there are reputable online sources, for a diamond of jewelry quality, I highly recommend buying in person, at least for your first diamond. You’re more likely to pick up on red flags, plus you’ll learn way more about your stone.
The most common diamond simulant right now is cubic zirconia. If you hold a diamond and a cubic zirconia side-by-side, you’ll see that the CZ has a lot more fire (colored flashes inside the stone), while diamond will have some fire but more white light “sparkle”. You’ll also sometimes see moissanite, but this is almost always sold as a gemstone in its own right these days, and it often has a greenish tint. You usually don’t need to worry about simulants when you buy from reputable jewelry stores or gemstone dealers, but remember, if the price is too good to be true, it probably is.

“To bring faithful love, surround a diamond with white roses. Light a gold candle and recite nine times: ‘Rose of white, diamond bright, bring to me fidelity’. Burn the candle through and wear the diamond close to your heart.” From The Illustrated Directory of Healing Crystals by Cassandra Eason
A diamond worn on the left hand will probably drive off potential romance, but it’s also believed that this is the most effective position in which to wear a diamond to benefit from its other properties.
Try using diamonds in prosperity spells (paired with green or gold candles, coins, and so on) or in glamour spells (paired with makeup, jewelry, whatever makes you feel most beautiful).
Clear diamonds can be used for scrying, especially by candlelight.

Comparing CVD Diamond Gems vs Natural Diamonds
Gemstones look royal and bring sophistication to the person who wears them. In modern times, two types of gemstones are available: natural diamonds and artificial ones. When you have the natural diamond with you, you might be stressed and thinking about how to protect it. So, it is better to purchase an artificial one. In this article, you will read about the CVD diamond, which brings royalty at very affordable rates. Continue reading to explore the CVD gems.
Tumblr media

What is a lab-grown CVD diamond?
CVD is short for Chemical Vapor Deposition, the widely known term for lab-grown diamonds produced through chemical vapor deposition. This differs from another method frequently used to produce lab-grown diamonds, known as HPHT (high pressure, high temperature). CVD diamonds are synthetic diamonds that are entirely genuine and indistinguishable from natural ones. Distinguishing between CVD and natural diamonds is only possible with specialized equipment. Lab-grown diamonds are gaining popularity with engagement rings and jewelry shoppers, and, like HPHT, CVD is a widely used method for their production.
What is the process of making the CVD diamond?
The chemical vapor deposition system starts with a diamond "seed." A diamond seed is a tiny piece of natural diamond capable of withstanding high temperatures and pressure levels. Hence, choosing the most robust and superior-quality natural diamond bit (in terms of color and clarity) for lab diamond production is essential.
In the CVD process, the diamond "seed" vacuum chamber is filled with carbon-rich gases and heated to temperatures exceeding 1,000 degrees. The high temperature causes the gases to transform into "plasma."
Are CVD diamonds real?
As mentioned earlier, this is a lab-grown diamond, but if it is grown with seed, then how come it is lab-made? Well, it is essential to make it clear that this is the original diamond of good quality. It has the same physical, chemical, and natural properties as the natural one.
Yes, CVD diamonds are natural diamonds. Although grown in a lab, CVD diamonds are gem-quality diamonds with the same elemental structure and physical, chemical, and optical properties as their natural counterparts. Furthermore, CVD diamonds are polished and cut identically to natural diamonds, making it hard for the unaided eye to distinguish between them. Rough gemstones are assessed using the four Cs: color, cut, clarity, and carat. They go through the same certification process as natural diamonds.
Tumblr media

What is the price of CVD diamonds?
Reduced costs are a significant attraction to lab-created diamonds. Costing 30 to 50 percent less than a natural diamond of the same size and quality, CVD diamonds enable customers to opt for more extensive and higher-quality jewelry. Also, note that the cost of this depends on the area or the way it was made. So, always be aware that prices might fluctuate depending on the place. If you are instead buying synthetic rough gems, then take the cost from the seller and make the decision.
In brief
Now that you are clear on the difference between the CVD diamond and the real diamond, it is essential to make a wise decision by comparing the advantages of the prices. If you are still unaware of the cost of CZ Rough Gems, then it is better to ask at the nearby jewelry store to get it confirmed.

Diamonds are one of the crucial sought-after items in Minecraft, due to their use in crafting the strongest instruments, weapons, and armor obtainable in the game. Pure fancy pink diamonds are in all probability essentially the most sought after diamonds that exist. They are extremely rare and priced accordingly. In contrast to pure diamonds, their synthetic counterparts are created in laboratory conditions. I Am the Band : There isn't any band. Marina is a solo artist. The "Diamonds" are her followers. All diamonds on this page had been chosen for their pure sparkle. Nitrogen could be current in diamonds in trace amounts as an impurity as a result of nitrogen atoms are able to replacing carbon atoms in the crystal lattice that provides diamonds their construction. The presence of nitrogen causes the diamonds to soak up blue mild, making the stones appear yellow. Nitrogen content material is decrease in diamonds which have been fashioned underneath increased pressure and for better periods of time. A diamond's minimize refers to its aspects and angles; their quantity, proportions, and symmetry, which affect how mild displays out of the stone. The grade for a diamond's lower ranges from excellent, reflecting as a lot mild as possible, to poor, with much light lost out of the sides or bottom of the diamond. A skillfully cut diamond will replicate as a lot gentle as attainable out of the desk (prime face) of the crystal and thus seem fiery and sensible. This impact on brilliance has a direct effect on the value of a diamond, and is a crucial issue to think about when evaluating one for purchase. This illustration exhibits how diamonds with the same form can have very different cuts which have an effect on the sunshine reflected out of the desk. Pure Moissanite initially comes from house-created by a meteorite that fell to Earth. These crystals are composed of silicon carbide. Natural moissanite is extremely uncommon, so moissanite obtainable for purchase as we speak is laboratory-created. Lab-created Moissanite is engineered to look similar to diamonds, but is bodily fairly different from a real diamond. The synthetic and real diamond markets complement one another and can co-exist. Individuals who want real diamonds with paperwork do not consider lab-grown diamonds as an acceptable alternative. Equally, those who are only willing to pay for synthetic diamonds at decrease costs could not at all times take into account actual diamonds that would price much more, even when the worth is considered a bargain. Instead of fearing the presence of synthetic diamonds, jewellers could play to their advantage by providing both artificial and real diamonds for a wider range of value factors and thus a broader client base. This text is a comparability between artificial and pure diamonds, for all those of you on the market, who want an goal discrimination. It's going to illuminate you in regards to the finer factors of distinction between the two. There are two main non-profit gemological associations which grade and supply reports, (informally referred to by the term certificate or cert, which is a misnomer for many grading reviews) on diamonds; whereas carat weight and minimize angles are mathematically defined, the clarity and coloration are judged by the educated human eye and are due to this fact open to slight variance in interpretation. These associations are listed beneath. The Russian mining firm Alrosa has unearthed an incredible diamond find - a light pink 27.eighty five carat piece of tough. That is an amazing discover in plenty of methods. One is that natural colored diamond tough is tough to return by over 10 carats, particularly one among gem quality. Secondly, with regards to pink diamond rough, the corporate has solely discovered three pink diamonds weighing more than 2 carats up to now eight years! This discover would be the most costly polished diamond within the firm's historical past in the event that they determine to polish ‘er up. We can't wait to see what happens subsequent for this 27.eighty five carat beauty. In February 2001, the Scorching Diamonds brand was launched into the UK market and was a surprising success, rapidly established itself as the No.1 selling jewelry brand within the UK, a place it has now held for over 6 years. Mixed with stellar excursions, Marina has been heralded because the sound of feminism today. Hiya, first let me thank you for putting so much data concerning diamonds on vendor evaluation, I've been in search of per week now to discover a good diamond and am really struggling discovering one thing that fits my perfectionist wants. I was questioning when you might doubtlessly help me slim down my search and find one thing of their stock, I'm searching for one thing between9 - 1.2 carat, and was actually trying to stay in D,E range, however wanted to see if i may find something round 9-11k vary with out going under VS-1, please slap me if I'm being unrealistic, or if i should broaden my criteria. There's quiet a bit out there and I think I am somewhat overwhelmed with the quantity of diamonds I am seeing. Thank you prematurely, really look ahead to your recommendation. ~ Andrey S. Of course there shall be a marketplace for artificial diamonds however the actual demand for natural diamonds is forecasted to grow over the following 20 years (far out-pacing supply) as young people in emergining nations with "new cash" begin to earn more, get engaged and have greater purchasing energy (particularly referring to India and China). Yakubov concludes with little doubt that these diamonds are synthetics. World's largest online jeweler Blue Nile presents ‘Diamond Worth Match Assure' that multiplies the extent of confidence in your mind whereas purchasing diamonds with full peace of thoughts. Suppose should you discover a identical GIA graded diamond at a lower cost then Blue Nile will happily match the price as a result of they've full guarantee on the value and high quality of their diamonds.
A serious purpose for THE DIAMONDS' longevity as performers and entertainers lies within the various backgrounds of the person members of the group. A very recent addition to the group is tenor Sean Sooter. Sean acquired his early performance coaching with the highly acclaimed nationwide touring group, The Young People - performing in eight U.S. tours and as well as Japan. Sean went on to work as a featured vocalist aboard the MS Noordam with Holland America Cruise Traces. Some of his favorite production credits embrace varied productions of Eternally Plaid in Los Angeles and Orange County, CA, in addition to performing with the Dapper Dans of Disneyland. Sean has served as musical director for quite a few musical productions including Five Guys Named Moe, Little Shop of Horrors and Xanadu. He earned his BA in Music Schooling from California Baptist College and a Grasp of Arts degree in Training through Azusa Pacific University. One thing to note is there's a main distinction between these lab grown diamonds and diamond simulants. Cubic zirconia and moissanite is not going to give off the same brilliance as a natural diamond or lab grown diamonds, since they don't seem to be comprised of carbon crystals. One can find that diamond simulants can have a a lot cheaper price tag than lab grown diamonds and will also be of a lower high quality. They have been very useful once I was in search of a particular item. I used to be undecided where to search out it and they assists me. I could not have made my buy if it was not for the customer support rep. I was looking for a pair of diamond earring for my daughter's wedding ceremony. I wanted a dangling earring with a french back. The rep informed me where to find them. They have a diamond shaped prime for the french back and a diamond form on the bottom. They had been fairly priced for the merchandise. I had seen others similar but they were a lot too costly for me. These had been one hundred and fifty which was in my budget, however they appear way more expensive. They are a wonderful high quality. The diamonds sparkle. They're in a silver setting which really makes them pop. I obtain lots of compliments whenever I wear them. Being merchandise of pure processes with very little quality management, mined diamonds often have a mild yellow or brown tinge and will embrace flecks of different minerals, referred to as inclusions, inside their lattice construction. CZ, conversely, is generated in sterile environments and are subsequently flawless. This should not be your solely determining issue after all; you could be holding a lab-grown diamond, or have simply won the gemological lottery. The earliest diamonds were found in India in 4th century BC, although the youngest of those deposits were shaped 900 million years in the past. A majority of these early stones were transported alongside the network of commerce routes that connected India and China, generally often called the Silk Road. On the time of their discovery, diamonds have been valued due to their strength and brilliance, and for his or her means to refract gentle and engrave metal. Diamonds have been worn as adornments, used as chopping instruments, served as a talisman to push back evil, and have been believed to provide protection in battle. Within the Darkish Ages, diamonds were also used as a medical aid and had been thought to treatment illness and heal wounds when ingested.
Enhanced diamonds, in contrast to top quality pure diamonds are natural diamonds that have had very particular treatments completed to them to enhance their traits, or their natural flaws”. One type of therapy is laser drilling, which is a process that removes minor inclusions in a diamond to produce a clarity enhanced diamond. This course of will sometimes create strains that resemble tiny trails, that are seen below facet-view magnification. The laser could dissipate the imperfection, or chemicals could also be injected into the ensuing tunnel to bleach away the colour. This is a extra everlasting course of than fracture filling. Nonetheless, it's highly debated whether or not this course of damages the integrity of the diamonds, thereby lowering the value of readability enhanced diamonds in the long run. Petra Diamonds Ltd.'s chief Johan Dieppenaar lately warned that it's still too early to inform if the industry had rebounded from the worst yr they had seen because the financial disaster. This is what crystals seem like earlier than they're faceted: notice their pure octahedral shape! Uncut diamonds are also found in cubic types. Manufactured diamonds, typically have laser inscriptions on them that distinguish each diamond. GIA licensed natural diamonds even have inscriptions on them. In that case, it is easy to inform them apart as a result of the producers let you know that it's lab-grown.

Synthetic Rough Gems: The Future of the Gemstone Industry
The global gemstone market is a fascinating and enduring jewellery and luxury goods industry segment. People have prized gemstones for ages due to their exceptional beauty, rarity, and cultural significance. This market is vital because it offers a variety of valuable gems used in jewellery, representing status and emotions and valued for their enduring attractiveness.
A groundbreaking change has occurred in the gemstone industry with the emergence of synthetic gems. These artificially created wonders have challenged conventional ideas of scarcity and worth, providing a sustainable and advanced technological alternative to natural alternatives. This article looks into the intriguing world of artificial gemstones, discussing how they are made, the ethical considerations, and their increasing appeal to buyers who desire attractiveness and ethical sourcing in their jewellery selections.

A gemstone in orthodox history
The spellbinding characteristics of gemstones, such as their mesmerising colours and inherent beauty, have fascinated people for ages. Historically, gems were extracted from the ground with cumbersome manual mining operations that correlated with high environmental costs and ethical issues. On the other hand, synthesising synthetic jewels corresponds to a rebirth for the gemstone industry. These lab-generated phenomena have the same chemical and optical properties as natural stones, thus opening up a new ethical and eco-friendly option to traditional mining.
Why do you need to buy synthetic rough gems?
The Science Behind Synthetics
Familiarising yourself with the technology behind synthetic gems is to be taken on a trip to the labs where these jewels are made. Recent improvements like the Verneuil process, flux growth, and hydrothermal synthesis allow researchers to alter the factors that play a role in developing natural gems under lab conditions. The consequence is an artefact that is aesthetically identical to its natural counterpart. Still, unlike Mother Nature's stones, it creates the impression that authenticity can only be found in the objects that humans have developed.
Ethical Considerations
Besides being eco-friendly, these gems also address concerns in the gemstone industry that have ethical reasons. Indeed, traditional mining has proven itself to be a source of such problems as child labour, environmental degradation, and exploitation. In place of this, lab-created gems do not give rise to these moral questions, and consumers enjoy the freedom of guilt-free choice. Growing awareness among consumers about ethics in sourcing makes them more inclined to buy faux gems to beautify themselves without adding to the evil side of the gem trade.
Dazzling Diversity
The vividness of synthetic gems is quite noticeable. The final product involves gems with flawless quality and a wide range of colours. Different from natural gems, which have colours coupled to geological conditions, synthetic CZ Rough Gems can be manufactured in precise environments. As a result, colours could be more rubbed. This broadens the creative scope for jewellery designers to work with and gives consumers more variety to choose from and distinguish themselves stylistically.

Affordable Elegance
Synthetic stones are popular both among budget consumers and others as they offer the same quality and looks. The high cost of usually exotic gems is a result of these minerals' rarity and the mining's hardness. On the other hand, the conditions of lab-grown gems such as cubic zirconia make them more accessible and democratise the world of fine jewellery, giving a broader population a chance to get a part of the luxurious beauty of gemstone adornment.
The cultural shift
Now, sooner rather than later, the jewellery industry is dealing with the cultural revolution associated with consumers' eco-friendly or ethical choices. Globalisation has led to higher demand for synthetic gems and HPHT diamond Gems as consumers strive for more environmentally friendly and socially responsible options than the typical mining process. Jewellery professionals and designers now follow the shift in buying preferences by which they introduce laboratory-grown fashionable gems to their collections and are aware that being in line with customers' values becomes an essential factor for them.
