my mother, as always, is doing The Most (even from six states away) but rather than take my middle school approach of crying and feeling powerless, i’m going to channel my Feelings into the following productive tasks:

curating my mommy issues playlist, because making a playlist is exactly what i do when i have Feelings

preparing for my job interview next week: memorizing every detail on the company’s website, preparing a portfolio of my own relevant work, writing down talking points for concise answers to Why I Deserve It, and planning The Outfit. (yes, i just googled “butch job interview outfits.”) 

exercising! i’m obsessed with this youtube fitness channel lately because i’ve been getting really bored of running but lacking the motivation to actually drive on campus to go to the gym.

working on my paper for class with my favorite surrogate mother figure; considering how difficult it’s been to research, could end up being my master’s or phd thesis topic since it’s rife for original research.
