Imagine Daemon being infinitely amused when you make a scandalous comment to Alicent who was being a cunt during the celebratory dinner that the King ordered for his family in the event of the birth of your sister's third Strong son.

The Queen's prayer was another not-so-sly remark to Rhaenyra but this comment involved you too so your response was deliberately extra shameless.

"May the Mother bless both princesses with many true heirs," she murmured.

Pretending to be in the belief that she finished, you rise from your seat a little, making an intentionally loud noise with the sliding chair and grab the wine from the opposite side of the table, from right in front of her.

Alicent looks at you with dread as you pour yourself a drink and reply to her taunting. "Yes, well, don't you worry about that, dear. Daemon and I are fucking at every chance so it is bound to happen sooner rather than later."

Your husband chuckles openly while Rhaenyra looks down to hide her smile. The Hightowers are looking at you with a mortified expression, even as Daemon pulls you down back to your seat and leans in to kiss you while he is still unable to hold back his laughter.

Bonus lore thoughts/ideas:

Visual similarities to Vashtorr are intentional - I thought it would be a fun idea to have some 40k "Krampus" type of demon that goes around harvesting unruly spirits and daemonic entities for the Soul Forges: fodder for daemon engines, or fusing them to parts of the forges/tools/machinery if they are too "minor" to be part of a fused weapons system.

These "harvester" demons could come in various shapes and sizes too, this particular one was just a fun crossover moment I had to get on paper! It might be fun to just have a handful of these guys, but have them all be very different-looking/differently specialized based on the kinds of daemons & warp entities they are hunting down

A little glimpse of how messed up the Targaryen family tree can be in places:

Daemon is Rhaenyra's uncle. They are also siblings-in-law by marriage, and eventually become husband and wife.

As Daemon's daughters, Baela and Rhaena are Rhaenyra's cousins, but as Laena's daughters, they are also her nieces by marriage. They are also her stepdaughters and should have been her daughters-in-law.

Daemon is the uncle-by-marriage, stepfather, and intended father-in-law of Jace, Luke, and Joff. Laena and Laenor were to become in-laws as well as uncles to their respective children.

Rhaenyra is the mother of Aegon III and Viserys II, but since their father is Daemon, they are technically her cousins too.

Viserys I and Daemon are both brothers and father-in-law / son-in-law, and Viserys I is both the grandfather and uncle of Aegon III and Viserys II. Furthermore, Rhaenyra is both his daughter and his sister-in-law.

The four Targaryen-Hightowers are the uncles of all of Rhaenyra's children, but as for Aegon and Viserys, they are also their cousins.

Additionally, Baela and Rhaena are the half-sisters of Aegon III and Viserys II, but technically they are also their cousins by marriage, and should have become their sisters-in-law.

What can I say, Olenna would have loved it. And I bet the Once Upon a Time writers are fans.

(I really love genealogy but I'm drafting a complete Targaryen family tree and lol! My headcanon is that they choose the kinship they feel most comfortable with from time to time and silently drop the others).

Thank you so much!! that is the perfect creature and a really, really clever choice and I love her so much.

I really regret that we do actually have to physically meet Bee at some point because it is so much funnier not to.

I also have to say, I don’t know why people who sell their writing get so mad when people guess their plots! Like when you hear about the Game of Thrones/ Star Wars etc guys changing their plots because people were guessing plots and having theories based on the FORESHADOWING THEY PUT IN.

I am completely surprised and excited by how people’s guesses for Bee have gotten closer and closer and how many have landed on the mark. Genuinely very exciting and satisfying and not what I was expecting. The feeling is very good, and it feels collaborative and motivational.

I don’t know what the point I’m trying to make here is, but I think it’s that foreshadowing is fun to set up and also fun to pay off, and that I like it when people guess what’s going on! We are all playing a game involving lying with words and it is collaborative! I think paid media would be more fun if people had more fun making it!
