Merry Scrimbo everyone! Have a 40k-ish flavored Krampus, hehehe
Bonus lore thoughts/ideas:
Visual similarities to Vashtorr are intentional - I thought it would be a fun idea to have some 40k "Krampus" type of demon that goes around harvesting unruly spirits and daemonic entities for the Soul Forges: fodder for daemon engines, or fusing them to parts of the forges/tools/machinery if they are too "minor" to be part of a fused weapons system.
These "harvester" demons could come in various shapes and sizes too, this particular one was just a fun crossover moment I had to get on paper! It might be fun to just have a handful of these guys, but have them all be very different-looking/differently specialized based on the kinds of daemons & warp entities they are hunting down

Get to know me?
Tumblr media
I kinda realized I never really introduced myself, so uh, hi!
My name is Echo :D I am pansexual and genderfluid, as for pronouns, I have no preferences, just don't call me an 'attack helicopter' and we'll be chillin'
I am 16, currently in Junior year, actually really enjoying it right now!
In most of my DR's my name is Eleanor, which is why its my user! I just feel connected to both names
Some non-shifting facts about me:
I have olive-green eyes
I have been singing/playing guitar/acting for around 10 years and I danced for 8 years (still dance for theater and funsies)
I play acoustic, electric, and a little bass
I am in a band as a lead singer and guitarist, we are called "Vessels of Rebirth"!!!
I am an alto-soprano! which is very fun as I can sing very diverse styles of music (my favorites being folk, rock, and gospel)
I am a Christian and follower of God, to whom I love dearly
Although I am a Christian, I do a lot of tarot reading, and I also see and speak with the deceased as well as have prophetic dreams on occasion. I currently have 3 spirits residing in my house, they are quite nice! (Also if you guys have any suggestions on incense please let me know! I need to add to my stash)
I do a ton of art, whether it be sewing, drawing, painting, photography, or making things out of materials, you will always find me with a new project (I'm currently working on a plushie bee for my friend in my Java class!!)
Speaking of java I am loving coding, that shit is cool
At the moment, I am leading in two shows (one is a murder mystery comedy, like clue, where the audience decides who the murderer is! The second is Spamalot, and I am the female lead, Lady of the Lake!!) I am also in the ensemble of Hadestown and doing crew for Little Mermaid! So a ton of theater stuffs going on (would you believe me if I told you I have 6 different theater-based DR's?? teehee)
I do a ton of reading, I love books; it's one of my dreams to have a Hobbit-inspired book room in my future house, complete with a circle door
I have a massive collection of plushies and stuffed animals, all of which I have named and remember perfectly (I love them sm)
My favorite colors are: forest/emerald green, sunset orange, TEAL!!!, deep purples, navy blue, maroon, pastel yellow, and blue/ashy grey
I am very Portuguese, and I love Portuguese food, my favorite being Bifanas
I have two pets, a 7 year old golden retriever named Ridge and an 11 month old ragdoll cat named Dexter (short for Dexteria, yes I am a DnD nerd)
Speaking of DnD, I am currently DM'ing three campaigns, and I'm in around 10-15 other campaigns, I love DnD a lot, it's one of my favorite hobbies
Onto shifting related stuff!
I have been shifting(minishifting partially, still shifting though!!!) since I was around 8 I guess? I didn't realize that was what I was doing at the time, and around 2021 I found out about shifting through a classmate (who brought it up at the most random time possible, an ELA class lol)
The first actual DR I ever made was a My Hero Academia reality, and by birds all mighty that script was ROUGH
But I still hold it close to my heart, even though it was so cringy
I took a break from shifting for like 7 months to a year at most, I believed in it, I just felt more content in my CR, but now I am at a point where I want to explore and be fully happy and learn and grow as myself!
Here is a list of my main DR's!
MPHFPC
Waiting Room
Phantom of the Opera
DnD homebrew (x3)
Better CR
Ever After High DR (x2)
Theater related (x6)
Apartment DR (x2)
Big Bang Theory
ASOUE
College DR (Harvard obviously)
Mad Scientist DR (before you ask, it's a book I'm writing, and No I am not the mad scientist)
Hogwarts (Not my favorite, but definitely for the vibes, witch-craft and ooo riding brooms is super fun! I kinda stay away from the main characters to the best of my ability, besides George tho, that man has my heart)
Those are my most recent ones, they all have their little quirks and loveliness that make them unique to me, if you have any questions about them I would be happy to answer!
I mainly post about my MPHFPC DR and more recently my Waiting Room, since they are the two realities I go to
I hope you guys enjoyed and got to know me a bit better, my asks/comments are always open so feel free to stop in and say ahoy!
Bye-bye for now :D

Hiii! I decided to upload some artworks from the last year or 2, cuz I draw reallllyyyyy slloooowww… and also, why not? I’m gonna post a few bundles of artworks each featuring the same character. If you notice any variation in art style/quality that would be because they might’ve been drawn months apart lolll
Anyways here’s a bunch of art of one of my d&d characters. Her name is Joy and she’s a tiefling paladin. Oath of the Eldritch Hunt (from Steinharts Guide to the Eldritch Hunt). She’s 6’5”, heavily clown themed, and she has some spooky curse shit going on. She is part of a nomadic circus-ish group of quirky warriors/adventurers known as the Joyous Congregation who wander and help those who cannot help themselves. She occasionally splits off on her own personal work, which is how she ends up with the party she’s been traveling with as of late (our adventuring party). She recently has been battling with her curse stuff though, as she fears she is losing her humanity, and has left her adventuring group for the sake of their own safety. I often dream of writing/drawing stuff that dives into her lore/backstory but I never get around to it. She does have a twin brother and a younger sister who I will probably post art of later.
The lil guy she’s holding in that one pic is named Guy. He’s a character played by a friend of mine, and tbh, for the life of me I cannot remember what his homebrew race is but I know that he is roughly halfling sized?
Some mildly spicy artworks under the cut if ur into that sort of thing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The other characters in those pics? Ehhhh I’ll talk about em later. These interactions also weren’t necessarily canon… just for funsies. At this time she’s the only character I’ve made kinda spicy art for. But who knows, maybe that’ll change.
OK THANKS FOR STOPPING BY AND I HOPE YOU ENJOYED MY RAMBLE

So what is the wasteland like in your AU? Is life slowly crawling back in? Or is it being stamped out by petty conflicts and the Jesus freaks? How the hell do Gamma storms even still exist? What lives out thier besides people?
!!! Hi!
So, this AU is a pretty direct Fallout adaptation, and I'm not sure how familiar you are with the games so sorry if I over or under explain.
It does kind of bother me that in the games like 200 years have passed since the War, and people are still basically in the stone age and eating centuries-old mac'n'cheese despite so much of the Old World being in a semi-recoverable state.
The sort answer is, the Wasteland could actually be built into a functioning society pretty easily, if people weren't The Absolute Worst.
Settlements are kept small and lower-tech, because you're right, the Army of Righteous does prioritize places that look like they could become a threat. Water treatment plants, armories, power stations, commercial farmlands, etc. The only large settlements that can survive are the ones that are basically fortresses and not worth the effort to wipe out.
This is part of what allowed the system of Overlords to form - they were basically Raiders who were able to survive long enough to amass enough fortifications and followers to the point they aren't easy targets any more, which in turn brings even more settlers to agree to serve under them for protection.
Wildlife is standard Fallout fare - mole rats, mutant dogs, radstags, yao guai, deathclaws, brahmin, giant insects of all kinds, mirelurks, robots, ghouls, and super mutants (along with whatever else I've forgotten). There are a few other animals I'll throw in mutated variations of as needed. Only major homebrew species is Razorbacks - mutated descendants of pigs and boars, I'll do a little writeup on them when I post Fat Nuggets.
As for the radiation storms, they're a gameplay element from Fallout 4, which I think they explained as there being the hyper-irradiated Glowing Sea nearby, which was ground zero for a massive nuke. Storm fronts coming into the Commonwealth over it would pick up the radiation and cause an extra hazard during storms. Most people and animals would either take shelter from the storms, or are already too irradiated/mutated to really be bothered. It's a convenient device to force people into places and in close quarters for a period of time, so I kept it. Let's just assume Pentagram City was a major target for nukes like other major cities, so there's a similar issue.
Additional worldbuilding thoughts below the cut:
The people who do make advancements/big recoveries in technology are people like Vox, and are just basically cut-throat capitalists who will murder their competitors and burn down/steal their stuff, to keep a monopoly on what they offer.
So VoxTech in the Vault 666 universe does offer a bunch of modern conveniences, but he also owns the local power stations and such to make them work, and runs the Vees' territory like a glorified Company Town where everything just goes back into his pockets. Anyone who tries to innovate is either bought out by him, or killed off so they're not a threat. Same with other Overlords who run an industry. No altruists can survive in this environment, which makes Charlie's dreams that much crazier.
technically anyone could probably run a radio broadcast. Alastor is so full of himself he doesn't see others as being even close his level, but people are too freaked out by him to really try; doesn't help that he overrides Vox's broadcast (which is commercials with some music now and again) for funsies whenever he feels like it.

Homebrew Hell Hound Feat
Prerequisite: Tiefling
Your infernal blood allows you to bring forth and summon a creature to serve your needs. You form a magical bond with a Hell Hound which obeys your commands as best it can. It rolls for initiative like any other creature, but you determine its actions, decisions, attitudes, and so on. If you are incapacitated or absent, your Hell Hound acts on its own. Your Hell Hound shares your alignment and your ideal, and cannot be charmed to attack you.
When your Hell Hound is reduced to 0 hit points, it turns to ash and leaves a skull with a flickering flame inside of it in its place. Using the skull, a fire created by magical means, and the expenditure of a ruby worth 50gp, you can perform a ritual to summon your Hell Hound once more. It emerges from the fire and consumes it, restoring itself to half-health.

Hey, I have a question regarding Jewish occult practice.
I have a character I'm playing in a TTRPG (Hunter: the Vigil). His name is Gary, and he's a Jewish teenager who dove deep into wizardry in search of peer validation that might never come.
Do you know of any great sources to look into regarding that sort of topic? I've been trying to avoid Kabbalah because I feel he'd know better, but anything regarding ritual magic is helpful.
Considering it's just a tabletop PC, is there a reason Gary needs to be using Jewish magic specifically? I imagine there's already a working magic system in the game and there's no reason you'd have to homebrew a Specifically Jewish System. (Also if you're looking for any traditional Jewish ritual CALLED magic work/occultism, you're probably SOL since that's not typically how it's viewed in practice.)
If you must play an observant Jewish character (idk if you're Jewish or not... that's another conversation) maybe just look at different Jewish laws/values and how they might interact with his views on wizardry. Maybe he rules out spirit work or divination but is fine with other stuff, keeps spell ingredients kosher or doesn't do magic on Shabbat. (Or if you're not Jewish, since I don't know atm, maybe consider NOT playing as a Jewish character just for the funsies??)

Do you have any advice for someone who wants to learn to DM but hasnt had the opportunity to play before and doesn’t know where to start looking for info/help/etc
OTHER PEOPLE’S STUFF YOU SHOULD LOOK AT:
one of the most helpful things i’ve found for new DMs is this video by the dungeon dudes. what it talks about is which parts of the books you actually need to know before going into a game. there’s hundreds of pages of content in the core books for D&D but you do not need to read all the books cover to cover. you only really need to know the stuff the people in this video list.
second thing i’d recommend you take a look at is this video, “the local area”, by matt colville. the gist of it is that you don’t need to have an entire world mapped out before you start a game. you mostly just need the area the first few sessions will take place in. it also comes with this accompanying pdf to help you get some tangible stuff written down. the pdf does come with certain assumptions that don’t fit every campaign (i particularly take issue with the assumption of “monster tribes”), but you can change it to suit what you think your campaign needs and on the whole it’s a great starting point
actually, matt colville in general has a truckload of really helpful vids. i disagree with him on some stuff but overall his vids have a ton of great advice
i’d also really recommend checking out this short video on balancing combat encounters by bobworldbuilder. it’s mostly just a short guide to not accidentally killing the entire party in the first session which is always important
ok now for my advice instead of videos i think are helpful
1. The game is mostly well balanced already
a big rookie mistake new DMs tend to make is assuming they know what is and isn’t overpowered. this can lead to a DM arbitrarily nerfing or invalidating a player’s class features because they seem overpowered - seeing new DMs who think the rogue’s sneak attack is too powerful, and end up ruining the game for the rogue player by nerfing it, is surprisingly common
if something seems really overpowered, it’s one of three situations:
1: the player is misunderstanding how the ability works and interpreting it as much more powerful than it really is. look over the ability’s description in the rules and maybe post on a D&D forum asking for clarification if you still aren’t sure.
2: the game is working as intended. the ability really is just that strong and the game was designed around it intentionally. if this is the case, do not nerf it.
3: the ability really is overpowered. this generally isn’t the case, most things in the game are fine, but wotc aren’t perfect and occasionally some exploit or ridiculously overpowered subclass slips under their nose. i don’t let my players play peace or twilight domain clerics - at least not exactly the way they are in the book - just because of how incredibly powerful they are compared to other character options
generally, default to adhering to the game’s rules. this isn’t to say you shouldn’t houserule or homebrew your game - but if you’re going to break the rules, you should probably understand why those rules are there in the first place
2. Mechanically, D&D is a game about combat and resource management
disclaimer - i’m NOT saying your campaign can’t be about stuff other than combat. it can be - you can have intrigue, politics, social encounters, whatever. but the majority of the rules and all of the game’s classes were designed around a very combat-heavy experience.
the game is designed around having 6 to 8 combat encounters per day (which i think is bad design), which is way more than almost any campaign will actually have. while this doesn’t mean you have to run the game this way, it does mean there’s some bits of design you have to keep in mind when running a campaign.
certain classes (fighter, warlock and monk) were designed around one of their strengths being sustainability - if you run a very long adventuring day, with lots of combat encounters and lots of short rests between them, these classes shine, because they can still keep going when you’ve done half a dozen fights and the wizard is out of spells and everyone else in the party is completely drained of resources. you should let these classes shine at least some of the time.
but, that does not mean you have to constantly cram in a ton of combat encounters every day. first off, an adventuring day where the short rest classes shine doesn’t need 6-8 combat encounters - you can do it with 3 hard ones, and a short rest in between each fight.
more importantly, if you want to run a low-combat game, check out the gritty realism resting rules in the dungeon master’s guide. these rules are very poorly named because they don’t actually impact the tone of your game - they impact the pacing. what they do is make short rests take a night’s sleep, and long rests take a week. the effect of this is that it takes much longer to get back combat resources. this means you can have only one or two combat encounters per day, maybe even lots of days with no combat, and you’ll still be able to challenge the players as if you were running them through mega-dungeons.
3. When should and shouldn’t you say no to your players
this comes down more to your own group and DMing style than anything else. some DMs run very linear, story-focused campaigns where you can only use races and classes that fit the DM’s world, some run more freeform campaigns where the players have a lot of agency to affect the story, and some people run campaigns where the players’ random shenanigans are the story. all of those DMs are equally valid as long as everyone in their group is having fun.
if someone isn’t having fun in your game, it’s probably not your fault or their fault, they just have different tastes and should probably find a group that works for them.
maybe you run a gritty meat-grinder campaign with lethal dungeons and not much story, or a political intrigue campaign with very little combat and lots of complex political relationships, or maybe just a fun high fantasy chase-the-macguffin campaign, whatever. the game you want to run is valid as long as you have players who share your interest in it.
you should respect the players’ agency, but it’s also on the players to respect your sanity and the effort you put into running a game. if you put a lot of work into making a world and story and prepared a lot of content for today’s session, and your players want to goof off and murder your npcs and go explore something they know you don’t have prepared just to fuck with you, you do not have to put up with that. that’s not just how D&D is, that is the players fucking you about just for funsies, and - unless that’s the kind of game you want to run - you don’t have to let them do that.
4. A thing that works for my game and might work for yours too
whether or not you have the newest book (tasha’s cauldron of everything) there’s one thing i highly recommend you take and use from it, and that’s letting players swap the ability score increases from their race.
every race in the player’s handbook comes with increases to two different stats, e.g. a gnome gets bonuses to dexterity and intelligence, a half-orc gets bonuses to strength and constitution, etc. the new rules from tasha’s allow you to take a bonus to one stat and change it to a bonus to another.
this means you don’t have characters that are arbitrarily worse for not choosing the “right” race. if your elven fighter has no use for intelligence, they can take their intelligence bonus and put it in strength instead, since strength is a useful stat for fighters - meaning now they aren’t just going to be worse than a half-orc fighter for no good reason.
i know some people find this immersion-breaking or something, and again you don’t have to use it - but i find it really helpful and it’s worked great for my campaigns so far

Second session of our one-shot from last week! Been too busy to write recently, but now that the next session is coming up- we can only play on Sundays - I thought, might as well. So! This time, we didn’t have a lot of time. A good portion of us- including me lol, since we were carpooling - were late and had to reschedule the time. What was even funnier, is that it took three weeks to even get here. Most of our players were busy for the past two weeks, and then I got busy the week after.
This session was a long time coming, lol.
But we were more prepared this time, in terms of items? Like we bought food, my makeshift DM screen was done ( couldn’t buy online and I wanted to make my own, so? DIY it is! ), and all of the stuff I needed for the puzzle part of the game was done- I’d even made some letters + other prop stuff for funsies. I even made little cards for their preferred fighting tools ( the Vicious Longbow for my Dragonborn, a homebrewed sword for my Paladin, etc ).
But the cons, were that a, we started late and stilted because we had to take a break early to buy dinner ( lmao, adulting ), and then we couldn’t use the previous space we played at because one of my players got an asthma attack from it, so we used this small space in my house that was enough ( but a little awkward because someone else was using the space ).
Anyway, despite all the bumps and rough road it took to get there, we managed to play the session regardless. In this one, I realised a few things:
i. one of my players doesn’t particularly like the puzzle factor in the dungeon? which is ok, because they really likes the adventure/roleplay aspect of it, which i was surprised about, because i really thought they’d only like the battle aspects?? so pleasantly surprised??
ii. on the other hand, one of my players really took charge in the dungeon/puzzle aspect and made voluntary perception/investigation checks !! really proud of how far they came aha
iii. my players like it when there are hints to their backstories lmao
iv. i had to railroad their asses a little bit, which sucked because i really didnt want to, but we were pressed for time ( a few my players had to leave even when they didn’t want to lmao ), so while we were feeling the heat and they were getting frustrated not getting anywhere, i had to gently nudge them
it was really good !! this session ended in a cliffhanger for them- in so many different ways - but hopefully, we’ll have a longer game time this week so i wouldn’t have to railroad lmao it wasn’t fun
Funniest moment that happened this week though, was when they insisted on lying/scaring a monk?? That I had clearly said was part of an ancient guild that I dropped hints that mayhaps be an assassin?? Like? Fuck are you doing?? It was so funny when I had to remind that, sir, you need this monk. You’re asking this monk for a favour? The fuck are you donig?
Also the other part where my paladin rolled low on dexterity check and started free-falling, and in her panic, couldn’t think to scream for help when they have a whole ass sorcerer who could pick her ass up??? I- Like, voluntarily just keeping mum and falling into an endless void

Welcome!
Oh, you found my stupid stupid D&D homebrew blog! Where I take things that already exist and turn them into RPG content! (Just D&D 5e for now; but I might branch out as I read more TTRPGs.)
What I mean is, I take characters/creatures/items/whatever from other media and pop culture and make stats and mechanics for them.
As much as this blog is for funsies, I take this seriously as an exercise in both adaptation and game design. So fair warning, some character accuracy may be sacrificed in order to produce well-balanced, usable content. It might be fun to figure out how much damage Saitama deals in a single attack to kill literally anything in one punch, but mechanically speaking, that would be a game-breaking pain in the ass for any player or DM.
Works the other way around too. If I like a character, but they only demonstrate a few abilities throughout the [game/show/movie/comic/book/whatever], I might stretch their established powerset, refer to fanon, infer more abilities, etc. instead of finding something easier to adapt because fuck you I like them.
Most character posts will be two-parters: one post where I take existing races/classes/backgrounds/feats/stuff and figure out how best to build Johnny Characterpants; second post, where I make a subclass that more accurately reflects the core of that same character.
For the Part A’s (the “Canon Builds,” as I call them), I’ll stick to official Wizards material as much as possible, just to see if I can. BUT - I’m a big fat hypocrite so I bend this rule when I want. Particularly, when I think a race/class/thing from an established 3rd-party publisher (Kobold Press, Frog God Games, ENWorld) would fit better for whatever I’m adapting. Also because the homebrew community needs more love. And I might break my rule even more and suggest other homebrewers’ stuff with proper credits and links and whatnot, like a madman!
Final disclaimer, play these builds at your own risk. This blog is like, 70% for goofs, but I am trying my best to create balanced, thought-out material. I certainly won’t have the chance to playtest everything before I post it. And that’s why I’m throwing all this crap up here for free, and not charging you a Suggested Donation up on DMsGuild. Maybe they work, maybe they’re absolutely broken. If you like my stuff, try it out and see! And – in a constructive fashion, if you please – feel free to let me know what does/doesn’t work!
Sorry for the overlong intro; I’ll probably post a FAQ version of this in a futile attempt to cut down on hatemail. TL;DR: Welcome to my dumb homebrew sinkhole, have fun!

PDFs of this and more can be found over on at my Patreon here!
First explosives of the month. Controlled explosions which propel lead balls at high velocities.
Had some fun with this interpretation of the misfire mechanic. Since everyone ignores the loading property with feats or artificer infusions, I thought I'd put a mechanic in just for them :)
And then made a saving throw weapon, for funsies
And now to plug my stuff. I release homebrews weekly over on my Patreon. Anyone who pledges $1 or more per post don't have to wait a month to see them, and also help fund my being alive habit.
At the moment, they have exclusive access to the following:
Handheld Explosives
Magical Firearms
Saboteur Conclave
Circle of Seasons
I also have two classes, and a splatbook over on the DM's Guild to check out:
The Rift Binder. A class specialising in summoning monsters and controlling the battlefield.
The Witch Knight. A class that combines swords and sorcery in the most literal way.
The Werebeast. A class that turns you into a half beast to destroy your foes.
d'Artagnan's Adventurer Almanac. A compendium of races, subclasses, feats, spells, monsters and more!

The intro post!!
Hey there! Haven’t used tmblr yet, but just decided it was time for me to get started. I’ll introduce myself so you get to know me better and know what to expect
My name is Gabrielle, but usually people will call me by my nickname: Gabi. I was born in 1998 (putting it like this so I won’t ever have to update this data lol) I’m from France, and I’m a neurodivergent genderqueer baguette who goes by they/them! (My french pronouns are il or elle or iel if you’re curious)
I currently study to get a master’s degree in translation and writing, and I always feel nervous saying I have a bachelor’s degree in english (linguistics + English and American literature and history), now everyone is going to judge me when I make silly mistakes, oh my... But I’ve seen memes about english speakers being super kind to non natives who lack confidence, so it’s going to be ok, right? Anyway, tl;dr I’m a huge linguistic nerd and I love making fun of the (c)Académie Française every chance I get.
I love watching cartoon and anime (though I don’t watch as many anime as I used to) I love reading (though I struggle finding time to read all the books in my “to read” shelf, oops), I love video games, and I am obsessed with Miku Hatsune, our lord and savior. Oh, and in case I ever get political, I am a progressive leftist, more specifically what we call “islamo-gauchiasse” in France (reblog if you think that’s beautiful).
I have many hobbies, and that’s what I’ll talk about in this blog! I think they can be sorted in just a few categories:
Fashion
I enjoy sewing and make stuff such as plushies, accessories, clothes, and costumes. I also really love drag and alternative fashion styles. I don’t know all of the alt styles, but love learning about them. I wear goth and EGL, and also my own casual style. It would be hard to sum it up in just a few words, but if I get the motivations to post ootd’s I think you’ll get the idea!
I also want to start a little shop to sell some of the stuff I make, and with my mental health it’s quite the journey to get there! I hope I can launch it this month, but it may be harder than I thought...
Music
Well, alt music goes hand in hand with alt fashion, doesn’t it? I love to listen to metal, rock, hyperpop, eurobeat, video game ost’s, weeb stuff, some queer tracks...
I like to dabble on making some music on FL studio. So far I’ve only arranged existing tracks, but I’d love to try composing myself someday! But then music making in general can sometimes give me some sort of choice paralysis, so arranging  removes at least melody from the too wide option list, if that makes sense, haha
Writing
I’ve always wanted to try writing and dabble for funsies, but before I got on medication anxiety, depression and some of my traumas paralyzed me creatively, so I haven’t done much so far. At the moment I am writing the “roleplaying” part of a homebrew tabletop roleplaying game with my s/o. I also got the chance to write a few articles for a French EGL fanzine and plan on writing more “article”-like stuff in the future. I’d also love to write some fiction. Also, remember how I’m a linguistic nerd? Well, another hobby I’ve dabbled in and can’t wait to pick up again is conlang building! If you don’t know what conlangs are, they are artificial languages that fictional people would speak! A while back I started making one, hope I can find the time to finish it and make more!
In this blog, I basically want to write whatever idea I have and think could be interesting for other people to hear. Those blog posts would be mostly about my hobbies, could be tutorials are informational posts about whatever topic I chose, could be anything really! Maybe I’ll also post life updates and stuff about my creative projects, we shall see!
Anyway thanks for reading everything so far, I’m impressed tbh, have a virtual cookie!
Looking forwards to writing here again!

So, I was looking up races in DnD, including Homebrew, and I found this race called False Elf, which essentially it’s these people who look like elves but actually hunt and eat, torture, rape elves(there’s a lot of other stuff but this is the basics, they’re elf hunters)
And as someone who’s currently playing an elf in DnD, to the person who created this: Who hurt you? What kind of thing happened that led you to create a race that kills elves for funsies

50 DND Questions
1. What do you think your d&d race would be? Proabably human. If I get the choice, I’d like to be either an Elf or Dragonborn. I’d be cool with either of those.
2. What class? Mostly likely a fighter? I’m not religious enough for a cleric, and not smart enough for a sorcerer or wizard. I like the idea of being able to throw hands.
3. What two feats would you have? I’d want the Alert feat, and more than likely the Lucky feat. Alert means my initiative gets improved, and Lucky means that I can reroll a bad throw. Those would get used a lot.
4. What has been your favorite d&d character you've played? (NPCs count for DMs) I’ve only got the two for now, but Liander’s been getting the most love. She’s probably my favorite.
5. Which of your d&d characters has been the most like you? Oh, Liander, without a doubt. She’s pretty close to my baseline personality.
6. Which of your d&d characters has been the least like you? And that would be Cade. Cade is just this side of Chaotic Evil, so she’s a little harder for me to get into the right headspace for. Playing her takes a lot out of me, to be honest.
7. How do you go about making a character or NPC? That’s hard to say - I give the session about an hour or so to feel it out, and let the personalities develop naturally over time. My playing style is reactive, so I let the situation dictate how said character would respond.
8. What is the most memorable natural 20 you've ever experienced? That would be with Cade. I’d rolled to take out a stone giant, suplexed them (because she’s a barbarian and her strength stat is wild), then chopped his dick off with my battleaxe like I was swinging a golf club. It uh, made an impression on the rest of the party, and the rest of the enemies.
9. Has one of your d&d characters ever died? How? Not yet, so don’t jinx me! I’m still attached to both of them, and would like to keep them around!
10. What is your favorite class to play? So far, it’s been my ranger. She’s fun, and I’m digging the whole ‘animals as companions’ thing she’s got going.
11. Have you ever fought a dragon? Yes. Between Cade and Paileous, we cut it’s head off. It’s currently a trophy back at home base. Got a lot of gold for our trouble, too.
12. Have you ever fought a beholder? NO. Not entirely sure I wanna, either!
13. Have you ever fought a mind flayer? No, but it’s coming up. My buddy is having us roll new characters for the Underdark campaign. I might try a cleric just for funsies.
14. Have you ever had a romance with an NPC or another PC? Nope. I am here to tell you that neither of my characters is looking for any of that. Liander’s too busy, and Cade is a halfling barbarian surrounded by equally questionable Drow paladins and rouges. No thanks.
15. Do you prefer to DM or play?  I have no desire to DM. I’ve only been playing for a little while, and I’m not creative enough to attempt it. I’ll stick to playing. I’m good at that.
16. What is your favorite D&D pod/vodcast? I’ve been listening to Critical Role - I’m relistening to the Whitestone/Chroma Conclave arcs. I love No Mercy Percy so much.
17. Who is your favorite "celebrity dm?" I only know the one - Matt Mercer.
18. Do you use props/minis/terrain in your game? Very rarely. I think we’ve only had like, two sessions that actually had terrain and mini’s.
19. How did you discover D&D? My friends. I sat in on one of their games, and just for the hell of it, they rolled me a character, and thus Cade was born.
20. If you run a homebrew game, give an out of context spoiler. I’m not running it, but smuggling is a thing, and the dude we’re smuggling for is someone whose face is on a wanted poster in my pocket.
21. Drop a picture of a mini you painted (if applicable) Sorry, I don’t have any minis. They’re all with my DM.
22. Write a brief scene centered around one of your characters! Uh, hang on -  "That was nice. I didn't ask you to get it for me, and I distinctly remember telling you I can get my own. Not my fault you don't listen worth a damn." Liander says with a slight grin. She doesn't know why, but she likes poking at Chancel. Not many folks react the way he does, and the scowl he sends her just makes her grin wider. "Come on. I cannot possibly be the only one who's pointed that out to you."
"Yeah, me. Two minutes ago." Zulth mutters into his mug.
23. Do you have any art of your characters? Yeah, one of my more artistic friends drew a sketch of Liander for me, complete with her cat on her shoulder. It’s pretty cool. It’s also huge, which is why I’m not posting it here.
24. Have you ever played any TTRPGs other than D&D? No, this is my first foray into TTRPGs.
25. What is your favorite snack for d&d? I reach for Cheetos or Doritos usually. They’re good, crunchy snacks.
26. If you could have one potion from d&d, which one would you choose? If I could just load up on superior healing potions for life, I’d be a happy woman.
27. If you could cast one spell from d&d, which would you cast? Fireball. That’s a nice equalizer, I think.
28. What is the most memorable natural 1 you've experienced? Oh man. That would be with Liander this time. She was trying to sneak into a well fortified part of the city, and tamper with the water supply for one family. Well, I had to roll to hop the fence to do so, rolled a natural one, my foot caught in the fence, and there was a dog right in front of me. Landed on my face, and got bitten for my trouble. Still got the mission done, though.
29. Have you ever been drunk playing d&d? I’ve been buzzed. Does that count?
30. Homebrew or prewritten? Both? Both. Both is good.
31. Tell me about your current party! Which one? Well, for the Alagaesia campaign, there’s my character Liander, a dwarf named Thorin, a rouge(?) named Zulth, an herbalist named Liam, and the man who hired us, an NPC named Bjorn. We’re actually trying to accomplish something with this campaign, or so the DM says.
For the Guardians of Gravenhollow campaign, I’m a halfling barbarian named Cade, there’s a drow Paladin named Varis, and another Drow rouge named Paileous. This particular campaign is just chaotic evil fuckery.
32. Most memorable NPC you've encountered in a game you played in. Victor. He built a clock, I wanted his tinkering kit, and wound up buying both at a just criminally low price. I kinda feel like I ripped him off, tbh.
33. Do you listen to music while playing? What kinds? Mostly the Skyrim soundtrack with a little Witcher soundtrack thrown in for funsies. Atmospheric stuff.
34. Favorite accent to do for characters? I don’t really have one for either of my characters. Mostly because I’m bad at keeping it up. I forget.
35. Favorite classic d&d trope Tragic Backstory(TM). Only one of my characters has it, but it’s damn fun to role-play.
36. What was your first d&d character you made? That would be Cade! She started out as kind of a throw-away, but she got mixed in with Paileous and Varis and she’s living her best chaotic life.
37. What is the most recent PC or NPC you've created? That’d be Kahtri, actually! I haven’t played her a whole bunch, so I’m not really familiar with her yet, but it’ll be interesting to play a Drow cleric who doesn’t actually worship Lolth. (I don’t do spiders.)
38. Goblins or Kobolds? I actually haven’t dealt with either yet. I’m slightly more familiar with Goblins simply because of CritRole.
39. Favorite villain you've defeated? Uh, I dunno if I’d classify her as a villian exactly, but Cade’s killed an NPC named Creed who was a servant to the god Grotz. Pretty sure he’s out for revenge now.
40. What d&d deity would you be a cleric of? I am a cleric of the Drow deity Elistraee. (I had to double check the spelling on that)
41. Give an out of context quote from one of your games! Liander - “I tried to stop him, but he fucking yote me across the room like I wasn’t even there. Is it weird I’m bitter about that?”
Thorin - *emerges from the wreckage of the crate we were smuggling holding dragon eggs* “I FOUND LIVING ROCKS!”
Liander and Zulth in tandem - *knows exactly what he’s holding* “Oh for fuck’s sake!”
42. Have you ever rolled turn into a potted plant on the wild magic table? No, I don’t think I know anyone who plays that particular class, so I’ve never seen it happen.
43. Minis and terrain or theater of the mind? Theater of the mind, good sir/madam.
44. Mulligan, Mercer, Murphy, or McElroy? Mercer! Mercer! Mercer!
45. What is the longest session you've ever had? Oh, jeez. Like, fourteen hours, give or take?
46. What is the longest battle you've fought or run? Uh, that’d be the fight with Creed. It took us like two hours to beat her down with three of us. She was stupid powerful. The bounty was great, though.
47. Have you ever played at level 20? No, my highest level character is a level 11. I’m working on it, though.
48. Does your dm say "How do you want to do this?" Oh yes. The table just blows up when that happens, not gonna lie. It’s fun to hear, especially if it’s aimed at you.
49. Have you ever played an edition other than 5th? No, I started playing last year, so 5th is all I know.
50. Will you try to convince others to play? Already done so. I’ve added a couple people to the group - my husband, whose character is the best straight man to our fuckery, and one of our mutual friends whose lunacy works with our brand of crazy.

So when I’m in big sad (TM) mode I make a new D&D character so here’s my list of characters:
For Princes of the Apocalypse: Struck Twice By Lightning, Tabaxi Monk: Way of Four Elements, secretly also has levels in Storm Sorcerer. Talks only in haikus.
Backup in case of Duraiel’s death in Storm King’s Thunder, Out of the Abyss, and Dungeon of the Mad Mage: winged Tiefling barbarian, joke character based on One-Eyed, One-horned, flying purple people eater that I’ve kinda turned into a local legend-turned adventurer. Folk hero that kills and eats bad people. Big butcher’s knife, has the Butcher’s Apron or whatever from the Wildemount book. Big spook energy.
One I created today, who knows where I’ll use it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ : Sniper! Using RAW stuff (not Mercer’s gunslinger or the Seas of Vodari material) Battle Smith Artificer + Rogue (undecided subclass) + a few cheeky levels of champion fighter.
For contrast, here are my presently-played characters:
Duraiel of the Splintered Light: Paladin of Conquest, played through Waterdeep Dragon Heist and now rolling into Out of the Abyss, Storm King’s Thunder, and Dungeon of the Mad Mage. Meant to be a spooky boi but he’s kinda turning into a softy (because I have a sentient axe that I want to prove myself to so I can still have an axe I can throw 😅)
Velox Sávradelfós: Dino racer and trainer for Tomb of Annihilation. Kinda sick of everyone’s shit tbh. Gloom Stalker that I’m gonna throw some Echo Knight into for funsies.
Unnamed Tortle Wizard: made for a homebrew campaign/one shot (?) that’s pretty open concept right now and I’m gonna build him as I go.
I also wanna play a gith and originally had one planned as Duraiel’s backup but the flying Tief boi is funny enough I wanna play him. Either a githzerai druid or githyanki echo knight (I may have mixed up which gith is which I don’t have Mordenkainen’s in front of me)
