"They do tests. Psychological, medical. They look inside your head, and they insert a tracking device inside your brain sometimes. You wouldn't like that." Mina telling Dallas about her abduction? @hvbris
Alien Sentences
Now, Dallas couldn't claim to have any experience with aliens. He'd never seen any himself, though he had come across some people who had. Even if that weren't the case, he knew better than to think anything to do with aliens could be pleasant. After all, he'd seen the movies, hadn't he? Nothing good ever game of meeting extraterrestrial life in them!
"Back in the day, when I was ridin' with my old gang, Lynchpin, he knew this feller by the name of Maestro. I figure he was the leader of M-Cell, but that's neither here nor there. He claimed he'd had encounters with them E-Ts. Said the government was thick as thieves with 'em and all."
Dallas had never been sure if he should believe that story or not. On one hand, he definitely believed that aliens were real. How could he not? And he could also picture the government taking advantage of their technology. Working with them, though? Nah, he couldn't see that. Besides, if that were the case, wouldn't he have seen hints of it when he was working for the President? Dallas had seen all sorts of dodgy meetings during that job, but never one he thought had anything to do with aliens.
"Anyhow, he gone got himself killed. Weren't no aliens, mind you. Lockdown - now there's a nosy son-of-a-gun - he tried trackin' him down, and he found out Maestro's head had done imploded or somethin' fierce like that. Then again, though, now you've got me thinking about it, that might've been of one of them alien brain implants, huh?"

Sugar, Spilled — Soup x Reader
🔹 Fluff 🔹 Humor 🔹 GN!Reader 🔹 Friends Teasing 🔹 Soft Moments 🔹 Domestic Vibes 🔹 Playful Banter 🔹 Request 🦋
Dallas had always been unapologetically himself—loud, funny, chaotic—but when it came to you, he was softer. Not that anyone would’ve noticed, of course; he did a good job at keeping it cool around his friends, always calling you by your name or some generic nickname like “dude” or “buddy.” That all changed during one casual hangout at the house, with the usual chaos filling the air. Ethan was on the couch, scrolling his phone, and the rest of the guys were arguing about whether pineapple belonged on pizza (it didn’t, according to Dallas). You were in the kitchen, grabbing snacks, when Dallas called out, “Hey, sugar, can you bring me a drink?” Everything stopped. The room went dead silent, the argument about pizza forgotten as heads turned in unison. Ethan looked up, his eyebrows climbing so high they practically disappeared under his hat. Puffer was the first to break, choking on his soda as he doubled over with laughter. “Did you just call them ‘sugar’?” Dallas froze, realizing what he’d said. His cheeks flushed a deep red, and he tried to backtrack.
“Uh, yeah? So what?” “‘Sugar’?” Ethan echoed, dragging out the word like it was the most ridiculous thing he’d ever heard. “That’s so sweet it’s giving me a cavity.” “Shut up,” Dallas muttered, glaring at them, but his ears were turning an undeniable shade of pink. Grizzy chimed in, grinning ear to ear. “Man, I’ve never heard you call anyone that before. That’s next-level soft.” You walked in at that moment, holding a soda for him, completely unaware of the teasing. “What’s going on?” “Dallas over here just called you ‘sugar,’” Ethan said, barely holding back his laughter. “Like, unironically.” “Oh,” you said, a little surprised but mostly amused. “Yeah, he calls me that sometimes.” Now the guys were howling, clearly delighted. “Sometimes?” Puffer wheezed. “How often is ‘sometimes’?” “Enough,” Dallas said gruffly, snatching the soda from your hand and refusing to meet anyone’s eyes. You couldn’t help but grin, leaning down to press a quick kiss to his cheek. “Don’t let them get to you, sugar.” The room exploded with laughter again, Ethan practically falling off the couch.
“Oh, they’re in on it too! This is amazing.” Dallas groaned, dragging a hand down his face. “I hate all of you.” But later, when the chaos had died down and it was just the two of you, he pulled you close, his voice soft. “You know they’re never gonna let me live that down, right?” “Probably not,” you said, smiling up at him. “But I kind of like it. ‘Sugar’ suits you.” He rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide the small, fond smile tugging at his lips. “Yeah, well, don’t get used to it in public. It’s our thing.” “Deal,” you said, leaning into his chest as he wrapped an arm around you. Maybe it was your thing, but you had a feeling it wouldn’t stay a secret for long—not with his friends around.

gang thought he held you hostage when you started dating ngl.
“you can do so much better, y/n.”
“dallas, shut the fuck up.”
“i’m just sayin’.”
“i will knock you out.”
Two-bit Matthews ;
HE’S SO WHIPPED FOR YOU IT’S DISGUSTING.
you have him giggling n shit.
his room is filled to the brim with photos of you.
not in a weird way, he just thinks you’re drop dead gorgeous.
tells you cheesy pickup lines, all the time.
“are you from Tennessee? cause you’re the only TEN I SEE! get it?”
would start a fan club for you if you asked nice enough.
introducing you to the gang was earth shattering for them.
“how??”
“what do you mean, ‘how?’”
“how did you pull her?”
“I PULLED HER WITH MY GOOD LOOKS AND CHARM, STEVE.”
“you’re so funny, two-bit.”
“like you falling flat on your fucking face yesterday?”
“YOU SAID YOU WOULDN’T TALK ABOUT THAT.”

family outing.
50 Wordless Ways to Say “I Love You”: 29. Tucking their hair behind their ear to help them get it out of their face.
Pairing: Five Hargreeves x Reader
Word Count: 1,436 words
Warning: Mild swearing
[A/N: Mild S2 spoilers!]
“So,” Vanya’s brow furrows, “Five met you after the apocalypse?”
“Yep.” Leaning against her car, you cross your arms and sigh dreamily. “Hate at first sight. He almost shot me in the head.”
“… With a gun?”
You grin. “Well, he couldn’t’ve shot me with a Twinkie.”
Vanya looks ahead at where Five is talking to some middle-aged guy, his expression friendly and polite. What a businessman. Her eyes narrow in shocked disbelief. “This is crazy,” she murmurs. “My family is crazy.”
Your grin widens as she shakes her head. Something about her mannerisms helps you realize why Five is so fond of her, though he’s never said it outright. She’s definitely your favorite of the bunch. Sans murderous intent.
“Some types of crazy can be good,” you reply, nudging her arm. “But your family’s got all of them and it’s gonna get real messy. Time to spice up your little farm life, Vanya.”
She chuckles a little awkwardly and shrugs. “I just hope I’ll have time to talk to them. Again, I mean. Maybe I’ll remember something when we’re all together.”
“Yeah. Maybe.” Noticing Five bidding farewell to the man, you push yourself off the bumper and wave at him. “Any luck, Five?”
He points down the street behind you as he walks back over. “Plano Street Rooming House for Solitary Men,” he answers. “It’s just a few blocks from here.”
“How do you know he’s there?” Vanya asks.
“I really doubt Luther would live anywhere else.”
You snort, raising your hands in surrender when Five returns it with a semi-faux withering look. With a sigh, he shakes his head and opens the rear passenger door, gesturing for you to get in.
As Vanya starts the car and turns into the street, you look through the rearview mirror at Five as he tells her where to go. Despite being stuck in a thirteen-year-old body, he still has that resting glower of his that makes him look perpetually stressed.
(Of course, it’s not just a matter of looking stressed – he is definitely stressed. Wound up tighter than a spring. You’ll probably need to force him to sit down and relax for at least a half-hour tonight before he explodes.)
His hair is a little disheveled, so you reach over to brush it out of his eyes. It doesn’t really work, but just going through the familiar motion grounds you somehow. “You know,” you muse as Five glances back at you, “Luther’s probably living there, but I doubt he’ll be in right now. He’s probably with Ruby somewhere.”
“Even if he is, we can ask around. I assume that at least one person there knows his business.”
He absently lifts a hand to smooth his hair back, and you smile. “Good point.”
—
“Hello, do you know Luther Hargreeves by any chance?”
After some door-to-door work, someone from Luther’s hall finally answers your knock. He’s a burly man, though not nearly as big as Luther, and obviously drunk off his rocker. Definitely solitary. He squints at the three of you through red, puffy eyes.
“Luther? Yeahhh, I know ‘im. Huge bloke. Real hairy.”
“That’s the one,” Five confirms. “You see, we’re his brother and sister. He hasn’t visited home lately and we’re pretty worried, so we’re just wondering if you know where he is.”
Burly picks at his teeth. “Brother n’ sister, eh? Well,” he rumbles, “I dunno where he is, but I know some of the boys are gonna watch ‘im fight tonight.”
“Where’s the fight?” Vanya asks.
The man regards her with suspicion. “Well, it ain’t a place for a little lady like you.” He swirls his beer around in its bottle, then jabs a finger at all of you. “Don’t want you three squealing to the cops, either.”
“We won’t,” you assure him, smiling sweetly. “We just want to check on Luther.”
With a little more cajoling, you finally obtain the time and place for Luther’s fight before the man waves you away with a grunt, slamming his door shut. You give your companions a self-satisfied grin before descending the staircase back down to street level. Worked like a charm. (You suspect your youthful looks probably helped a lot, though.)
“How’d you do that?” Vanya wonders as the three of you step out onto the sidewalk.
“Simple,” you respond. “I have a knack for sweeping tough guys off their feet.”
You wink secretly at Five. He rolls his eyes, the minutest of smiles at the corner of his mouth, before ushering you and Vanya back to the Chevy.
Your little trio spends the next few hours driving and poking around, looking for Luther or Klaus or Allison. The optimist in you hopes you’ll run across at least one of them. But Dallas is a big place, and darkness begins to fall around 5:30 without a single sighting.
“Dammit.” Five clicks his tongue as you exit a paint shop alone.
“At least we know where Luther will be,” you point out, shoving your hands in your pockets. “How about we get something to eat before we head to the fight?”
Vanya unlocks the car. “There’s a place I know close by,” she says, lips quirking up. “They have sandwiches and donuts there.”
You pat her back. “Sounds great, Vanya. Five? You’ve got to eat something, too.”
Your favorite number crosses his arms as you and Vanya stare at him expectantly. “We’ll get something quick,” he eventually says.
The trip only takes a few minutes. The three of you get sandwiches and a donut each and unwrap them on the bench outside the bakery.
“Sissy and Harlan and I get something from here whenever we go into town,” Vanya says, finishing the last of her sandwich and picking her donut up. “It’s pretty good.”
“So good,” you agree. Lands alive, sitting out here like this makes you nostalgic. Ignoring the upcoming doomsday and the ‘60′s aesthetic, it feels like you’re back in 1927 again, staying out past curfew with your peers. You smile to yourself and look down at your half-finished maple bar. Best to enjoy it while it lasts.
A finger quickly sweeps your brow, tucking a lock of hair out of your face. You blink and glance over at Five, but he’s looking across the street and starting on his own pastry. (Apple fritter. Perhaps you’ll ask him one day why he always gets those.)
Heart feeling even softer than before, you lean silently against his side. He doesn’t move.
After a moment, Five speaks up. “When we were kids, I brought you to this donut shop near the academy a couple times.”
“You did?” Vanya asks.
“Yeah. Griddy’s.” Oh, the one near the academy. The one that had gotten destroyed along with everything else in 2019. He gestures at the last bit of donut – plain, glazed – in her hands. “You usually got that kind.”
She raises her eyebrows, looking into her napkin. “Oh, wow. I guess it must’ve been a subconscious choice or something, then.”
“Hm.”
“You know, I’m glad we found you, Vanya,” you offer warmly. “I didn’t … really have time to get to know you the last time we met.”
A smile spreads across her face. “Same here. For both things, I mean. Not that I’d know much about our first meeting.” She pauses, examining you for a second, then blurts, “Can I ask you something?”
“Shoot.”
She awkwardly motions between you and her brother. “Are you and Five …?”
“Partners,” you finish, “in every sense of the word. From what I know, at least.” With a grin, you turn to Five. “Is that more or less right?”
He rolls his eyes fondly. “Unfortunately,” he mutters as you move to smooth his hair back again. He sure had lovely hair when he was a kid – not that you didn’t appreciate his looks back in your Commission days. This de-aging thing really knocks you for a loop sometimes.
Vanya nods, still looking vaguely confused. “Okay. I don’t want to make things weird, I just – well, you two are kind of … young –”
“Believe me, we’re much older than we look,” you quip, standing up. “But that’s a tale for another time. We gotta go.”
Disposing of your trash, you join the others into the Chevy and start your next journey to Luther Hargreeves. Radio turned off, the leather seat squeaks as you lean back and listen to Vanya and Five murmuring in the front.
To see the siblings together again makes you glow inside, a bit of calm before the inevitable storm. You drink it in as much as you can.

Ruined - Jamie Benn - Part 2
Word Count: 5,716
POV: Jamie
Warnings: Language, Smut, NSFW, talks about losing virginity
Notes: Here is the next part right away. Hope you guys enjoy this. Happy Reading!!!
Ruined Masterlist

Throwing on some shorts and a t-shirt, you headed down to the kitchen to whip up a quick protein shake before Tyler got there for your morning workout. With the season just around the corner, you’d pushed training into high gear, Tyler coming to your place every morning before you’d head off and workout with your trainer. In just a few short weeks training camp would be in full swing and you wanted to be in your best shape to make a run for the cup. But the Stanley Cup wasn’t on your mind as you turned the blender on, the grinding sound echoing through the empty house. Empty was the keyword there. You were tired of being alone, tired of going out to the clubs, ending the night with some mindless hookup. Maybe it was the fact that Jordie had finally popped the question to his long-time girlfriend Jess and the two seemed blissfully happy, that was making you want to settle down, or maybe it was seeing your sister with her little girl and longing for a family of your own. Whatever it was, you wished that you could just meet the perfect woman and fall madly in love.
The problem was you were too picky. They were either too tall or too blonde or maybe it was not blonde enough, then there were the ones that didn’t talk or were too chatty. You seemed to find something wrong with each and every woman you dated. Hell, your longest relationship only lasted six months and you’d only kept her around that long for appearance sake. You wanted a meaningful relationship with the girl of your dreams. It didn’t seem like much to ask for.
“Hey, I see you're getting new neighbors.” Tyler’s voice brought you out of your musings and you glanced at him as he walked into your kitchen. “Well not neighbors exactly, since it’s like two houses up, but the woman who’s moving in is hot as hell.”
“Do you mean in Doc Lundin’s place?” Dr. Lundin had been the team doctor for the Stars for the last several years and had finally decided to retire. You’d heard his practice had been looking at a young and upcoming doctor to take his place but didn’t know that they’d hired anyone.
“Yep,” Tyler finally answered. “Must be the new doctor’s hot wife. It’s a shame she’s married because, DAMN!” He gave a low whistle of approval. “I’m telling you, I’d be all over that.”
“Don’t you have a girlfriend?”
“We’re in an open relationship.” All you could do was roll your eyes, for all Tyler’s relationships were open, at least on his end. “But hey, if you wanted a crack at her, I’d give you first dibs, since it’s been a while.”
“Gee thanks,” your sarcasm was not lost on your best friend.
“I’m just saying it’s been a bit since you’ve gone out with anyone.” This you already knew and were just contemplating moments ago. “Maybe we should go for a run while she’s still out directing the movers.”
“Why don’t we leave the new doc’s wife in peace at least for a day or so.”
“You’re no fun.” Tyler downed half your drink but luckily, you’d made enough for another glass, before you headed out to your pool house that had now been turned into a gym. The two of you spent the morning and afternoon training before Tyler headed back to his house.
It was just after dinner when you decided to go for a run, now that the sun was setting and the Dallas heat wouldn’t make your shoes melt to the pavement. You thought you’d head up to see Jordie and Jess, who only lived about six blocks away. It would be a short little run, but still, a way to get some exercise in. As you stepped out of your house, it was still a bit steamy, so you tossed your shirt off, and flipped your cap backward before heading up the street. The moving truck seemed to be gone, so you guess whoever it was that captured Tyler’s attention was busy inside unpacking. You were so absorbed in checking out the house you didn’t realize that someone was coming around the corner at you until your bodies collided. Your hands immediately went to her hips to steady her. “I’m so sorry. I wasn’t watching…” you started to say while she was apologizing to you at the same time. It wasn’t until you looked at her face that recognition hit, then all words died on the tip of your tongue. “(Y/N), is that you?” She didn’t need to answer for you to know that it was her. This was your (Y/N), the first girl you ever kissed, the first girl you ever slept with, and the only girl you ever loved. Though you’d ruined all that. Standing there, you took in all of her features and you were reminded of how much you’d loved her back then. How much that first and only time with her had meant to you.
You’d been so nervous driving all the way to Vancouver with (Y/N), but she was more nervous. So, you took her hand and held it the whole way, occasionally dropping kisses here and there. The foot that wasn’t driving, bounced uncontrollably up and down with anticipation of the night to come. You were pretty sure you were wearing a hole in the flooring of the car. It had to be the longest car ride you’d ever had. “Did you maybe want to get something to eat before we head to the house?” You asked (Y/N) hoping to break some of the silence that was filled only by the stereo in the car.
“Yeah, we could do that.” She glanced over at you and gave you a weak smile.
“(Y/N), we don’t have to do anything if you don’t want to.” You totally meant the words you’d just spoken, for you in no way wanted her to feel pressured about having sex with you. This should be something you both wanted.
“No, I want to. Don’t you?” Her voice picked up a little bit, the sound more reassuring than the smile she gave only moments ago.
“I want to, too.” God, you sounded like an idiot. “I went to the pharmacy and got protection, so you don’t have to worry.”
“Oh, you didn’t have to.” This time it was your turn to look over at her, trying to see if you misunderstood her statement before scanning the road again. “I’m on the pill, have been for a while.” She said by way of explanation. “My mom thought it would be best, once she found out I was actually dating someone, but we can use the condoms too if you want.”
“I mean…uh…” were you really having a conversation about birth control methods? You supposed it was the adult thing to do. “If you think we should, we can.”
(Y/N) turned in the seat to fully look at you then. “Ok, so this will probably sound stupid.” Your head bobbed back and forth between the road and the girl you were in love with.
“(Y/N), nothing you say is stupid. You’re the smartest person I know.”
She leaned over and kissed your cheek. “Thanks,” she took a deep breath. “Anyhow, I kind of don’t want to use a condom if we don’t have to, at least this time.” You weren’t quite following her thinking so you remained silent for her to explain. “Like, it’s both our first times, so there’s not a chance of us getting a sexually transmitted disease or anything. We just really have to worry about getting pregnant. Which since I’m on the pill, and before you say anything, I take it the same time every day, so no worries there. I think we’re safe on that account.” You nodded your agreement, for it was just like (Y/N) to be so precise about something. “But the real reason I don’t want you to use it is…” she hesitated, almost as if she was embarrassed to tell you why. She certainly had to know that there was nothing to be ashamed of, especially with what the two of you were about to do.
“Just tell me (Y/N). I promise I won’t laugh or make fun of you or anything.” You squeezed her hand giving her a little added courage.
“I just want to feel you.” Her face started to turn a combination of pink and red, which looked totally adorable on her. “You know nothing in between us. I just really want to know what it feels like.” Fuck, you wanted that too.
“Yeah, that does sound nice.” You tried to downplay it though inside you were a jumble of nerves now, and thinking about what it would feel like to be inside her only made those magnify. What if you spent the moment your cock dipped inside her pussy? What if she didn’t cum? There were so many thoughts whirling around in your head, that you were ready to explode, and in more ways than one.
“So, then you agree? No condom.” (Y/N) asked you, drawing you back to the present.
“Yeah, no condom.” The car grew silent again and you could feel your hand sweating as it held (Y/N)’s. There was only about another half-hour left in the drive. “So, where were you thinking to get something to eat.” You changed the subject hoping to take both of your minds off what would happen later. You stopped off at a little burger joint that (Y/N)’s family always went to when they were in town. You couldn’t stop grinning at each other all through the meal. It was really quite ridiculous.
Afterward, you headed over to the house. You carried both your bags in. “Umm…where should I put these?”
“Oh, I don’t really have a bedroom here. I just sleep in one of the guest rooms, so we can just use one of them. They’re upstairs.” You followed her up the stairs, as she led the way to the bedroom. Inside was a massive four-poster king-size bed that had curtains draping down from it. Both of you just sort of stared at it for a full minute, letting the weight of what was about to happen sink in. “You can just put our stuff over there.” She pointed to the window that had two chairs sitting by it.
It was late in the afternoon and you weren’t really sure if you should wait until dark to do this or start now. Everything felt too planned out, except for the exact timing. “Did you want to…” you trailed off, unable to put your thoughts into words.
“Ohumm…yeah,” (Y/N) answered and you took a step closer to her. Your hands went to her waist, as you pulled her closer to you, before dipping your head down to kiss her lips. It was awkward, just like it had been the first time you kissed, but then your tongue slipped inside her mouth and you felt her melt into you. She pulled back though suddenly. “Oh, I almost forgot.” She stepped over to her bag, rifling around inside. “I brought these.” She pulled out a couple of glass candles. “I thought…well I don’t know what I thought, but you know, they always have them lit in the movies.”
You smiled over at her, taking a couple of them and setting them on the nightstand and dresser. “Do you have something to light them with?”
“Oh, one sec.” She took off downstairs and you could hear her rummaging around the empty house. You gazed at the bed. Should you turn the covers down? Maybe take some of the pillows off? You were contemplating what to do when (Y/N) came back in. “I found a couple more, and this.” She held out a pack of matches and you took them, lighting the candles that she’d placed throughout the room. She pulled the blinds down on the windows and it cast the room in a romantic glow, which reminded you of the item you brought to add to the romance.
You pulled your mp3 player out of your bag and found the love song list you’d created for tonight and turned it on. You prayed that (Y/N) wouldn’t think that it was cheesy. When you finally turned around, she had the most adorable smile on her face. As you took the couple steps to close the distance between the two of you, she took a step back, and suddenly all those nerves from the car ride were back. “There’s just one more thing.” This time she grabbed her bag and headed into the bathroom.
While she was in there, you shucked off your shoes, then decided to get rid of your socks as well, since it would just be awkward to have them on. Grabbing the small bottle of Listerine, you had packed, you swished it around in your mouth then looked around for someplace to spit it out. There wasn’t any, so you just swallowed the small amount, coughing as you did. Lastly, you threw off the sweatshirt you had on. The fewer clothes you had to take off the better was your thought. You were tugging down the plain black t-shirt you had on, when (Y/N) stepped back into the bedroom, clad in a short silk robe. Your mouth went dry. Thoughts of what was underneath or what wasn’t filled your brain, both the one in your head and down below. Fuck, you needed to think of something else or this was going to end before it even started. You tamped down the lust that was threatening to boil over and walked towards (Y/N). “You look,” you shook your head trying to come up with the right word but there was only one. “Beautiful.”
“Thanks,” she mumbled back as a blush stained her cheeks. “I’m nervous.”
“Me too,” you admitted and you wiped your palms off before reaching for her. They slid around her waist then up her back as you looked her in the eyes. “Are you sure?”
“Yeah,” she breathed out knowing that you were asking if she still wanted to have sex. You kissed her then like you had so many times in the past. Her arms slid up around your neck and you deepened the kiss. When you heard her moan, you let your hands roam to the belt of her robe, which came easily undone. Your hands roamed up her sides where you felt her lace bra. You were dying to know what she looked like in it. All the times that you and (Y/N) had done anything sexual together, she’d never been completely naked nor had you. It was always something hurried in the back of your car or on the couch when no one was home. Now though, you could drink your fill of her as you were alone with nothing and no one to interrupt you.
Gently, you pulled back from the kiss so you could gaze at her. Her body was covered in white lace, and you wondered if she had done it on purpose; sort of a nod to giving her virginity away to you. Unconsciously, you licked your lips as you took in the swell of her breasts and the curve of her hips. She was sheer perfection. “Damn,” you hissed out. “How did I get so lucky?” She giggled at your comment then let the robe slide off her shoulders; the view now even better than a second ago and you were finding it hard to breathe.
You felt yourself get hard just standing there staring at her. “Jame,” she said breaking you out of the spell.
“Yeah…uh…sorry.” You blinked hard, then took her hand and led her over to the bed, where you kissed her again. Slowly, you leaned her back onto the mattress, as your body hovered over hers. This part was nothing new, you’d made out with (Y/N) hundreds of times. It was what came next you were unsure of. Her hands slid under your shirt, and she bunched it up so that you could climb out of it. It fell to the ground somewhere in the bedroom. She then reached for the button on your jeans, but you knew if she took them off now, you’d be done. So, you rolled her to her side and followed her, unclasping her bra the minute her back was free. Your legs tangled with hers and you felt her hips gently rock into your thigh. She wanted this just as much as you did but you needed to make it good.
Last night, you’d pulled Jordie aside and told him of your plans, purely so you could ask his advice. He’d chirped you, of course, for not having done the deed with (Y/N) sooner. But when you threatened to just leave, he stopped. He gave you a ton of information, go down on her first to help her relax, make sure she was wet before you even tried to stick your dick in her, go slow because it will probably hurt her, and the last bit was, make sure you didn’t bust your load too soon. The last part was the one you were truly worried about.
(Y/N)’s bra now forgotten, you focused your attention there as you twisted both of your bodies so that she was now lying flat on her back. Kissing your way down her neck, you first took one nipple and then the other into your mouth. She moaned and it went straight to your groin. Thank god you still had your jeans on or you’d had spent right then and there. There were times you’d spend a good hour, just toying with breast but tonight was not going to be one of them. Working your way down her stomach, you kissed her right above where her panties were. The cute little white lace panties barely covered her pussy, and your mouth salivated just thinking about tasting her. You hooked your fingers around the elastic at the side, then started to shimmy them over her hips. (Y/N) rose up to help you rid herself of the flimsy garment.
Setting back on your heels, you drank in the sight of her bare body. You’d never seen her totally naked before, so you took a moment to just drink in the sight of her. One leg slightly bent, her arms off to the sides, but fidgeting as you gazed at her. “Jamie?” Her voice wobbled slightly and you could tell you were making her somewhat nervous, yet you couldn’t take your eyes off her.
“Sorry,” you said a blush coming to your cheeks. “You’re just…perfect.” She smiled, then sat up, grabbing the back of your neck and pulling you in for a kiss that had you wanting more. “Lie back,” you told her after kissing her breathless. She did and you took your hands and glided them from her ankles to her inner thighs; spreading her legs wide, so you could settle in between what you knew was your own little piece of heaven on earth. You grinned up at her before laying your tongue flat against her sweet little pussy, then licking between her folds. Her hips bucked forward even at the first contact. Your smile growing wider knowing that you were turning her on. You couldn’t help looking up at her as you flicked your tongue back and forth over her clit. Her hands fisted into the sheets and she moaned out something that you couldn’t quite hear.
Spreading her pussy lips with your fingers, you dipped your tongue inside her. “Jamie,” she cried out, and then you felt her hands threading through your hair urging you to continue. She tasted so sweet as you licked up and down her slit then flicked her clit. When she was wet and wanting more, you slid a finger inside her, mimicking what you wanted to do with your cock. Just the thought of being able to slide it into her warm and wet pussy had your cock hardening to granite. Fuck, you needed to get her off, so that you could feel her wrap around your dick before you lost your load. You made that come-hither motion, finding that spongy little spot up inside her. “Oh God,” she moaned out and you felt her legs start to tremble, as your hands kept them from clamping down on your head. Your tongue worked tirelessly on her little nub, alternating between flicking and sucking on it, as you fingered her. “I’m gonna…cum.” (Y/N) barely got the last word out and you felt her pussy spasm around your finger while her whole body bucked upwards. You felt a rush of wetness hit your lips and as much as you wanted to lick up every bit of her essence; you didn’t.
She slowly came back to reality with you, as you moved back up the length of her body until your lips were locked with hers. This time when her hands went to your waist you didn’t stop her as she undid first the button then the zipper. (Y/N) tried to help you shimmy out of your jeans but it was no use, so you rolled off her and wiggled out of them yourself. Her giggle went straight to your groin. “We have time, Jame.” You knew she was right but this was a moment you’d been waiting for, for a while now. You tossed the jeans and then your boxer briefs to the floor, before rolling on your side to face (Y/N).
“I know…it’s just…” you couldn’t quite put it into words, but she nodded her understanding, bringing her hand to your cheek and slowly kissing you. Your hand roamed up her bare back, pressing her close against your skin. She felt so soft and supple in your hands, and you rolled her onto her back, your body looming over hers as your lips and tongues molded together. She moaned into your mouth, and you broke the kiss looking down at her. There was a questioning look in her eyes at your actions. “Are you sure you want to do this? You can tell me no right now and we’ll stop.” It would kill you, but all (Y/N) had to do was say the word.
“I want this Jamie. I want you.” She cupped your face and brought it down to mere inches above hers. “I love you.”
Your lips spread into the widest smile that ever graced your face and it had nothing to do with her saying yes to sex. “I love you too, (Y/N),” you told her and although they were only five words, they were the truest thing you’d ever spoken in your life. This wasn’t some fleeting crush that a sixteen-year-old boy had on a girl. This was true love in every sense of the word. You’d known your feelings for her the first time you’d met, now they were just intensified and what would happen next would bind you two together.
Her legs fell open, letting you work your way between them. Taking your cock in your hand, you slid it in between her damp pussy lips. She gasped, breaking the kiss and allowing you to stare into her eyes. “Let me know if I’m hurting you,” you hissed out as you nudged forward just an inch. Her walls surrounded your cock and it felt like heaven. Jordie was right, you just wanted to push all the way into her and shoot your load, but you couldn’t or wouldn’t do that to (Y/N). This had to be good for her too. She bit her lip, which made you wonder if she was in pain or if it felt as wonderful for her as it did for you. Another inch forward and you felt a barrier in your way. You knew enough about the female anatomy to know what it was and that going forward would change everything, not only for (Y/N) but you too. You leaned down and gave her another kiss, hoping to ease some of the tension that you could feel coursing through her body. When you felt her relax a bit into the kiss, you pressed all the way forward burying yourself deep inside her. (Y/N) froze and you pulled your head back to look at her, as all the blood in your body went directly to your penis. It took every ounce of your being, not to move. Sweat beading across your forehead as you asked, “Are you ok?” You couldn’t tell if she was breathing or not. She had to be, right?
Finally, she inhaled deeply and it was as if you were taking a breath with her as the two of you were finally joined as one. “I think so…I...just need a second.” God, you weren’t sure you could last that long. Her breathing started to even out, as yours became irregular trying to keep your body in check. “I think…” she wiggled and you hissed in a breath. “Yeah…I’m ok…maybe if you…” she didn’t finish what she was saying as your hips moved of their own accord, just a thrust in and out.
“Fuck.” You were cursing more at yourself for moving than anything else, but damn if she didn’t feel good.
“It’s ok,” (Y/N) moaned out, her arms reaching around to your back urging you on. “Keep doing that.” Those words were like music to your ears and you found yourself surging forward back into the warm cavernous heat of her pussy, then pulling back out.
“God you feel so…” Good, just didn’t seem like the right word, but at the same time, your brain wasn’t exactly looking for another one. Your cock started to twitch, your balls getting that familiar tightening. You couldn’t cum, not yet, you’d only been inside her for a few minutes. You wanted this to last longer; wanted her to cum too, but there was no more fighting it. “I think I’m…”
“Yes, Jame, cum inside me.” That’s all it took and you thrust one last time before shooting your load in her as she reached up and kissed your neck. Stars clouded your vision, as your climax hit you. A strangled groan leaving your lips. You’d never came that hard in your life, as you collapsed on top of her.
It took a second for you to basically regain consciousness. “Shit, I’m sorry. I’m probably crushing you.”
(Y/N) laughed. “Actually, I kind of like it.” Your laughter joined hers until you started to wonder if it was appropriate for sex. You could feel your cock softening inside her, so slid it out of her as you rolled to your side. She whimpered slightly.
“Fuck, baby, did I hurt you?”
“No, I mean…it was a little uncomfortable at first but…then it felt so good.” She was on her side now gazing at you.
You brushed a stray lock of hair off her face. “Sorry, I couldn’t last longer, so you could…well you know.” It still felt awkward talking about getting off, even after what the two of you had just done.
“Don’t be. It felt good, Jame…really good….and maybe,” she ducked her head down into your chest, suddenly shy and mumbled something incoherent.
“Babe,” you said, lifting her chin with your thumb and index finger. “I can’t hear what you said.”
There was the cutest blush on her cheeks. “I just thought…maybe we could do it again. Like later tonight and well maybe tomorrow before we leave.” You couldn’t believe what you were hearing, her words were like a dream come true. Damn right, you wanted to do it again; as many times as she’d let you.
“Yeah, baby. I definitely want that.” Your lips connected with her, and after what the two of you had just shared, (Y/N) not only stole your heart, but your soul. That night you made love to her again, only then you made sure she came with you, just like you did in the morning before you left. Those twenty-four hours would forever be embedded in your brain and your heart, and as you dropped her off at her friend's house, so she could maintain her cover you knew that you would love only (Y/N) for the rest of your life.
Now, here she was fourteen long years later back in your arms. You shook yourself making sure that you weren’t dreaming. She still looked the same, only better; all hips and curves and things that made men lay awake dreaming about at night. As you took in her features, it struck you then. All those other women the ones you’d found something wrong with all the time; didn’t have anything wrong at all. It was just, they weren’t (Y/N). They were only filling a void from the time that you’d ruined everything until now. She was the woman that everyone else had to measure up to, only now she was someone else’s. Fuck, the thought made your head spin. Had it truly taken fourteen years to get her back only to lose her?
“Hello, Jamie,” she finally spoke and her voice washed over you taking you back to that day and the way she’d called out your name when you were inside her. Your cock hardened instantaneously. She was pressed close to your body and you wondered if she could feel it.
“It’s so good to see you.” They were the first words out of your mouth that made sense but they were also the most truthful. It was just too bad that the look on her face didn’t reflect the same. “Sorry, I’m just in shock seeing you is all.”
“No, I get it.” She replied. “Do you live around here?”
“Uh…Yeah, I’m the white house right there.”
“Oh,” she seemed to be taken back by this knowledge, which was probably understandable. Especially given the fact that her husband was going to be your new team doctor. Nothing like having your ex be your new neighbor.
“What about you? What are you doing in Dallas?” Though you knew the answer, you needed to hear the words come out of her mouth as confirmation, for until you did; you held out that small hope that there was a chance to make things right again.
“Um…well.” It was then that she stepped out of your embrace. You hadn’t realized how naturally she fit back in your hands and that of their own accord they didn’t seem to want to let go. “I just moved here.”
“Kind of got that with the moving truck and all,” you replied, your hand going to the back of your neck at your awkward comment, though she did smile at your words.
“Yeah, I suppose that did give it away.” She shifted her weight from one foot to another. It was a nervous habit of hers that you remember from back in the day.
“It was hard to miss, but I knew the old owner quite well since he was our team doctor. In fact, I heard our new doc was moving in. I guess I’ll be seeing you and your husband around more.” There you’d finally said it. It was like ripping a bandaid off. Sure, it hurt and all but once it was off the sting started to fade, only this time it didn’t, as a look of confusion crossed her face.
“Husband?”
“Oh sorry, my bad. I just assumed you were married. Fiancé then?” Either way, it was going to be awkward as hell seeing her at games and functions, let alone out in their yard. Maybe you’d need to look for a different place. Tyler had just moved recently, you’d have to get the name of his realtor.
A look crossed her face, and you remembered seeing it once before. It was when you’d tried to talk to her after the whole gossip fiasco. She was angry and you had no clue what you said to make her that way, but this was not how you wanted the conversation to go. “I’m not married or engaged, for that matter.” So it must be a boyfriend then, though that didn’t explain her displeasure with you at the moment.
“Geez, (Y/N), I’m really sorry. I just assumed that for you to move all the way here you’d be engaged or married to the guy.”
“There is no guy Jamie. I’m the new doctor.” A look of shock crossed over your face. Why hadn’t anyone told you she’d gone to study medicine? The obvious answer being you tended not to ask about her when you were back home, only because it hurt too much to think about her being with someone else. Though she wasn’t with someone else, it was just her, and she was now your team doctor, who you’d see almost every day. “I can’t believe that you’d think the only reason I’d move her was for a guy. Incredible! You haven’t changed one bit have you?”
“It wasn’t…I didn’t…” She started walking away, just like before when you’d tried to explain what had actually happened. “I just assumed…”
“Yeah, Jame, you just assumed! That what, I couldn’t be smart enough to earn the MD after my name, or that I’m still only good enough for a quick roll in the hay.” You went to answer but she held up her hand and took a deep breath. “Save it, Jamie. I’m a professional and that’s what I’ll be when I see you at the arena or out, but other than that…we have nothing to say.” With that, she left you standing there speechless as she jogged back up her driveway and into the house. And here you thought you had a second chance, that things weren’t totally ruined between you two. Maybe they weren’t. If anything, her position on the team, meant that you’d be seeing a lot of each other, something you were definitely ok with. You might have messed up all those years ago, and somewhat today, but now you had a chance to turn everything around. Maybe things weren’t quite ruined….yet.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all! I hope you all have an amazing day and enjoy part 9!
Avoiding Jamie and Tyler after the shitshow that took place in Tyler's house Friday night, was your number one priority. Thankfully, the Stars were out of town in Nashville and weren't due to come back to Dallas until early Sunday morning. You weren't sure if Tyler still wanted you to watch the dogs, so the next morning after everything happened, you took an uber to his place. When you walked inside to feed the dogs and take them on their walk, they were nowhere to be found. You walked around the house, whistling and even going as far as to squeaking Gerry's favorite toy– but no sound of paws against the floor or the jingling of their collars. When you went to leave, the front door opened and John walked in, holding onto the three dogs' leashes. He looked surprised to see you and the moment the two of you made eye contact, you realized that he knew.
And it was obvious that your dog sitting services were no longer needed, so you rushed back to campus and practically locked yourself in a library study room, throwing yourself into studying for your last final.
If you thought back on it hard enough, you weren't sure if that was the final straw that jutted the metaphorical knife deeper into your stomach or what happened Sunday night when Big Rig came over. You had once again, spent the entire day throwing yourself into studying for your finals and by the time you returned back to your dorm room, Kennedy was ordering dinner in for her and Big Rig.
You hadn't meant to completely shut her out, but you honestly felt a little embarrassed at how everything came crumbling down. Tyler had yet to reach out, he pretty much fired you from taking care of the dogs, you're pretty sure that your brother pretty much disowned you...and Kennedy, though not as straight-forward, had warned you of it all. The last thing you wanted to do was feel worse than you did now...though that logic isn't working, because well, you were feeling pretty shitty.
Kennedy was your best friend for a reason and she knew better than anyone that when you were ready to talk about it all, you would. So, unfortunately for her, but lucky for you, she was dealing with your sadness with grace– aka by not complaining when you had your playlist blasting through your headphones or not commenting on how you were watching the notebook one too many a time.
By the time Big Rig had arrived at your dorm, you had shut off your computer for the night, buried yourself beneath the covers, rolled yourself towards the wall and had been trying to fall asleep for almost an hour. You thought that you'd be able to eventually fall asleep, maybe while they were just going to watch Criminal Minds and eat some dinner, but the moment that their hushed whispers grew a little louder, there was no hope.
"How is she doing?" He asked, talking softly as he kicked his shoes off onto the floor and hopped onto her bed, his tall and heavy frame causing it to buckle beneath him.
"Honestly? Not so good. " Kennedy sighed and you could feel her gaze lingering on your back. "Neither Jamie or Tyler have talked to her. She's been either spending all her time studying, blasting sad breakup songs, skimming through The Notebook or sleeping."
"Oh shit...The Notebook?"
Kennedy was silent but climbed onto her bed as Big Rig shifted and unloaded the delivery bag. "I even called her mom earlier, just to give her a heads up before she came home for Christmas in case she notices that two of her kids aren't talking. And then right after, Jordie reached out to me because Y/N wasn't answering him and neither was Jamie. So, I filled him in too."
You couldn't even be angry at her for the fact that she told both your mom and Jordie about what had happened. Firstly, the two of them already had some sort of clue as to what was going on between you and Tyler. Secondly, once again, she was just being your best friend and looking out for your best interest– plus now you didn't have to have that awkward conversation once you went home.
"Yeah, Jamie's uh..." Big Rig cleared his throat and you could tell that he was either trying to avoid talking about something or just trying to figure out how to say it.
"Was it bad yesterday?"
"Horrible," he sighed and shifted on the bed again, probably lying back. "Everyone knows."
"Everyone knows?" She asked, the confusion in her voice evident. "As in...they know about Y/N and Tyler?"
"They know everything."
"Jesus Christ! Is Jamie that fucking petty and pissed that he went and blabbered about it to the whole team?" She caught her voice elevating and stopped, placing their food off to the side. "I'm going to kill him. What an asshole and to do that to his own–"
"It wasn't Jamie."
"Then who–"
"Well, I mean, Bish was with Jamie when he...walked in on the two of them, so Jamie told Bish– but he already kind of had a feeling because Jamie said something about it." Big Rig cleared his throat again. "But no, it was some fan account on Instagram for wags, I guess?"
"Explain, now."
You heard him sigh and you contemplated making it known that you were wide awake, but you had to admit to yourself that you were a little bit interested.
"So it some small fan account for wags of the team, I guess. Anyway, so they make a post and they have pictures of Y/N and Tyler from nights we all went to the bar, to pictures of him picking her up from A.B.C. and even his Halloween party. It was like... spam of almost 10 pictures and you can see how close they are and it's not hard to guess that they have something going on."
"Okay, and how does this tie into the whole team finding out?"
"Everyone got tagged in it. Players, girlfriends, wives, I think even Tyler's family and Y/N too. By the time the plane took off, it was kind of common knowledge."
Your heart was racing against your chest and it felt like it could explode at any minute. Everyone on the team and their significant others knew, which meant the coaches and training staff probably knew. How the hell were you supposed to show your face in the locker room tomorrow without wanting to just disappear into thin air?
"Shit, this is pretty much Worst-case scenario. How is she supposed to walk into a room and treat them all for their weak bones when they all know about her and Tyler?" Kennedy sighed her gaze on you.
"I mean...I don't think anyone judges her for it, because she's still Y/N to them, you know?"
"It doesn't matter, J. Even if she's still just Y/N, they'll still probably look at her and think– 'oh wow, she's been boning our teammate. there's another notch on the belt.' And I know they're your friends, but with Tyler's reputation and all males sharing the same brain– you can't tell me that it's not true."
Big Rig was silent for a few moments before deciding to speak again. "The game was even worse. He and Tyler are barely speaking, the tension between them on the ice was obvious as hell. Add in the confusion with Montgomery being fired and the Instagram was the cherry on top of a Sunday that nobody wants."
"Was it that bad? The two of them?"
"A few of the guys and I were talking on the plane ride back and we're all afraid that something is going to happen at practice or in the middle of a game or something and the tension between them with just make the two of them implode."
"And that would be another worst-case scenario come true," Kennedy sighed again. "God, this is such a mess."
That was all you were able to stand before you sat yourself up and turned towards the two of them. You took in their shocked appearances and you knew that they had thought you were asleep and that if you weren't they wouldn't have had this entire conversation with you in the room.
"I'm sorry," you said, your bottom lip starting to tremble no matter how hard you tried to fight it. "It's all my fault that everything is so messed up because I'm just some stupid little girl with a stupid crush and I ruined a friendship and your team chemistry."
Kennedy looked at Big Rig and got up off of her bed and walked over to your bed. "This is in no way, shape or form your fault, Y/N. I want you to get that through your head right now. " She grabbed one of your hands and tugged on it, causing you to look at her. "Tyler is a big boy, he knew what he was doing and he knew the consequences of his actions. So you are not going to put the full blame on yourself."
"She's right," Big Rig spoke up, sitting up in her bed. "Besides, I don't think that they hate each other. I just think that Jamie is probably a little bit embarrassed because he feels like everyone knew what was going on and he didn't. Especially since Jordie and Bish both had their suspicions about it."
"See?" Kennedy smiled, squeezing your hand again. "Your big brother is just letting his itty bitty man pride get in the way of his common sense."
"He probably also thinks that Tyler was taking advantage of you," he cleared his throat, and his cheeks turned a hint of pink at his insinuation of yours and Tyler's relationship. "Especially since he's older and that Jamie trusted him to be like a brother to you whenever he wasn't around."
As comforting as they tried to make their words, they did nothing but only make you feel worse and that you were responsible for everything that had happened. You sniffled and shook your head, looking at the two of them. "I don't think I can finish the internship, not when everybody knows."
Kennedy was about to say something, only to be cut off by the sound of Big Rig's feet thumping against the floor. He had hopped off of the bed and nudged Kennedy to the side, standing in front of you. He tilted your chin up and made you look at him, seriousness written all over his face. "Absolutely fucking not. You are not going to let some tatted doofus make you quit, okay? This is your dream and as your second best friend, I'll be damned if I let you quit, got it?"
"Got it." You smiled and nodded as Kennedy reached in and wiped a tear from your cheek.
Big Rig smiled and patted the side of your cheek. "Good, now come eat some of this food with us."
❒❒❒❒
It turns out that your little bonding night with Big Rig and Kennedy was exactly what you needed. It wasn't a magical cure to fix everything, but it made you fall asleep a little easier that night. And when you woke up the next morning, you were ready to take on your last final just before you'd head off to the arena for the game. When you sat down to take your final, you felt confident in yourself and slightly more relaxed and at ease than you had been the last two days. However, that all changed the moment your Physiology and Anatomy final was placed in front of you and the time to take your test began. It was smooth sailing up until halfway through when you came upon a question that brought out a memory from your many study sessions with Tyler.
For this particular question, you had to identify and label abdominopelvic quadrants, then their divisions, as well as the planes of the body. And the moment you stared at the outlined body and the lines waiting to be filled and identified, your eyes brimmed with tears at the memory of Tyler.
How when you walked into his house that afternoon and ready to study, he was already making the two of you lunch– 'brain food for my brainiac!' And when it came time to label the quadrants and planes, you realized you had forgotten the sheet your professor had given you, at your dorm. Tyler, being as brazen as he was, stood up off of the couch, took off his shirt, held out his arms to his sides, looked at you with a crooked, goofy grin and said, 'go ahead, paint on me like one of your french boys.' And when you corrected him on what the actual movie quote was supposed to be, he just stuck his tongue out at you and said, 'turn me into a masterpiece.' And it took every bit of self-restraint that you had in your body to refrain from telling him that he already was.
When you wrapped up your final and started to make your way to your dorm room to meet Big Rig so the two of you could head to the arena, your next big dilemma crossed your mind: all of the dorms were closing in two days and you had nowhere to stay. You were originally supposed to stay with Jamie and Katie at his place until the two of you were going to fly home together, but you doubt that's an option anymore. But that was another problem for another day and you weren't going to worry about it until later because your only important issue today, would be how you would carry on in the training room today.
When it came time to enter the training room, Big Rig offered to walk in with you, but you told him that if you were going to do this, you would do it yourself and then you ushered him off towards the locker room. You expected your feet to move towards the door and open it before walking inside, but the longer you stared at it, the more frozen you were. You could hear the muffled voices mingling together on the other side of the door, which only made your heart race and the knot in your stomach tangle and tightens. The locker room door opened behind you and you froze, hoping that it wasn't Jamie or Tyler.
"You're still standing here?"
You turned to look at Big Rig, who was now dressed down from his suit and wearing some shorts and a shirt. "You act like I've been standing here for ten minutes."
"Try five, Y/N." He sighed and walked ahead of you, pushing the door halfway open and turning to you, nodding his head towards the door. "Come on, if there's one person who's one-hundred percent on your side, it's me."
You wanted to run into him and hug him tight, but you settled with thanking the Universe for sending Jamie Oleksiak your way before you followed him into the training room. As expected, the immediate conversation stalls, but only for a short second before it picks back up again. And if you weren't so focused on noticing any kind of difference, you might not have noticed that it paused at all. One thing that was extremely obvious though, was the way that all of the boys were looking at you. Sure, they were friendly, that's their character– but you could still see it in every pair of eyes, the fact that they knew about you and Tyler.
And you couldn't help but feel like they were judging you for it.
Klinger was the first one to come up to you while you were preparing Big Rig for his stretches, and you just had an overwhelming urge to hug the swede, but you resisted. "How did your final go, Y/N?" He asked, stopping by and leaning against the table Big Rig was sitting on.
It felt like things might ease back into normality, just based on his normal question and the conversations going on around you– it was like a weight off of your shoulders. "I bet that you aced it," Big Rig said, poking at you with his foot. "You're the genius Benn after all. You and Jenny must have the brains because I don't know what Jordie and Jamie got."
Right, when you went to reply, the door opened and on instinct, you turned to see who walked in. When you saw it was Jamie, it was as if every eye in the room was focused on the two of you. Jamie didn't bother to look your way, making his way over to the cabinet to grab some ibuprofen. "How did your final go?" He asked, his back turned to you and his voice void of any emotion.
"I think I did pretty good," you replied, feeling awkward as he kept his back to you before turning away and walking over towards another table, not even bothering to reply. You turned your attention to Klinger and gave him a small smile. "Thank you for asking, Klinger." You spoke softly.
He gave you a nod and patted your shoulder before going off back into the locker room. Everything felt fine and the awkward tension eased slightly as you went on helping Big Rig with his stretches. Sure, because of Jamie's presence, there was still a slight stir on tension as if everyone was expecting the two of you to implode right then and there– but it wasn't anything that couldn't be easily ignored. However, when the door opened again, this time Tyler walked through and it was like the air was sucked out of the room.
You felt yourself freeze as you went to adjust the band around Big Rig's foot and he tapped his foot against your hand, causing you to look at him. He took a deep breath and then breathed out slowly before nodding his head. You nodded back, still feeling everyone's eyes switching between focusing on you and focusing on Tyler. After you adjusted the band, you went over to your desk, instinctively picking up athletic tape before sitting down in your chair, waiting for someone else to ask for help.
"Hey, John, how long do you think you'll be?" Tyler asked, barely brushing by Jamie to grab a heating pad before pacing it onto his shoulder.
"What do you want done?" John replied, looking up from a separate cabinet.
"My ankles?"
"Give me two and I can help."
Tyler nodded, adjusting the heating pad before walking right back out of the locker room, not even bothering to look in your direction. You were crushed and fighting like hell not to have it show on your face as you sat in your chair, gripping the athletic tape tightly. Soon, tapping your foot against the floor became another way to prevent yourself from giving in to your emotions and before you knew it, Bishop was calling for your attention at Big Rig's table as he hopped off. "Yeah?"
"Can you come over for a second? I need you to help me tape my thumb for me real quick." You walked over, your supplies already in hand and stood in front of the goalie. "How are you doing?"
"Good, especially now that classes are done," you smiled, exhaling lightly. "Now I get to relax...sort of."
"No, Y/N," he said, looking around the room before leaning in closer. "How are you really doing?" The way he raised an eyebrow slightly, gave you a hint as to what he was asking.
You were slightly embarrassed that he was asking you, but at least he wasn't being so blunt and loud about it. "Embarrassed, sad," your eyes lingered away from taping his thumb and over to your brother, who had a focused and zoned in look on his face. "Is disowned too dramatic?"
He laughs lightly, but his lack of answer lets you know that your feelings are completely valid. "I'm sorry by the way," you apologized, cutting the athletic tape. "For making things awkward around here."
"They're grown men, they'll figure it out," he shrugged, watching as you finished taping his thumb. "Don't worry about that, worry about you."
"Do you think I made a mistake?" You asked as he hopped off of the table.
He looks like he wants to say yes, or maybe you're just overthinking it. He shrugs his shoulders and gives you a half-smile. "Is it a mistake if it makes you happy?"
His reply lingered in your mind as you watched him leave the room before returning to your chair. You placed your supplies onto the desk and spun yourself around to face the wall, thinking about what he said and for once, not feeling all too guilty about your decision.
❒❒❒❒
You've never been happier at the fact that you had to stay in the training room during a game. You took solace in the quiet as the muffled music, announcements and cheers were on the other side of the door. Normally, you'd spend this time studying, but since you were done with all of your finals...you had nothing to do but play on your phone, make sure that the training room was clean and of course help any player who came in with something John sent them back to you for.
The game wasn't going so well the second period was almost over and Dallas was down 2-0. Kennedy was sitting with Katie and sending you updates on how Big Rig was doing, but other than that, you were too busy watching random videos on youtube. You're watching one of those astrological card reading videos when you hear the announcers muffled voices yelling about a hit, a fight and then bickering. By the time you were fully able to focus and take out the one headphone, they were done announcing it and the crowd was roaring– a mix of boos and cheers, you couldn't tell. Right when you went to go back to your video, a text message from Kennedy popped up.
"j took a high stick to the face, ty went to go fight the guy who kept trying to go back after j."
"j and ty arguing...it looks ugly."
You clicked on the message, ready to reply and ask for a more specific update when the locker room door swings open violently and Tyler walks in with a pissed look all over his face and blood on his jersey. You weren't sure if it was trainer mode, friend mode or that your feelings were coming into play, but you left your phone on your desk and ran over to him. "Holy shit, Tyler are you okay?"
He looked as if he was mumbling to himself, the anger still evident on his face as he ignored your question. "I'm just going to take your helmet off for you," you said, reaching up to grab his helmet. "Just to make sure the blood isn't coming from–"
As if he snapped back into focus, he stumbled back, looking at you. "Don't touch me!"
You were startled at how loud and angry he sounded. You've never seen him this angry outside of a hockey game, so seeing it first hand right now, was terrifying. But you needed to do your job, so you weren't backing down. "No, I need to check to make sure that your head isn’t bleeding, Tyler. So just let me–"
"Just– don't!" He said, this time glaring at you, the anger on his face still there, but the look in his eyes softening the moment they took in the slight fear on your face. "God, you're acting like...like," he waved his hand in the air as if the words he was looking for were there to catch. "Like some obsessed hook up!"
Your jaw dropped and as if he just understood the words that left his mouth, the anger started to fade off of his face and for a moment, he looked like he might apologize.
The door swung open again, this time Jamie walking in and stopping just a little into the room. His eyes took in just how close the two of you were standing together and he scoffed. "Of fucking course."
Tyler spun around and pointed at Jamie. "Oh shut the fuck up, Jamie. I stood up for your ass just now."
"You think fighting Draisaitl is sticking up for me when you're the reason why he made that fucking comment?" Jamie yelled, his voice getting deeper, something that always happened whenever he got angry. "You wouldn't have to 'stand up for me' if you were focused and knew where to pass the damn puck instead of daydreaming about getting laid!"
"Guys, stop!" You said, trying to move past Tyler to get in between the two grown men, a huge sense of deja vu washing over you. "Jamie, are you okay?"
"Oh, now you seem to care what I think? Where was this before you started sleeping with my best friend?" And there it was, the aggression pointing towards you– the real reason why he was probably upset anyway.
"I asked if you were okay, not for your fucking opinion column, Jamie." You sniped, reaching up and taking off his helmet before tossing it onto a table and going towards where the suture kit was kept so you could pull it out for whoever was coming in to stitch him up. "You have a cut on your forehead.”
"I am focused on this game, so fuck you, Jamie!"
"Really?" Jamie scoffed, shaking his head. "So you're not focused on the fact that you're gonna go home with Maisy and probably get laid tonight?"
You froze, just as you turned back with the suture kit and glue in hand– that one name sending you into a small panic. You looked to Tyler before looking at Jamie, who was just shaking his head. "Oh Y/N, you didn't know? Maisy's here. You know who Maisy is, you remember?"
Tyler shook his head. "What are you–"
"Don't even play coy, Seguin. Katie texted me before the game and said she bumped into Maisy, who coincidentally is sitting in the same seats that you got her last year."
At this point, you felt like you were going to be sick. You had asked Tyler about Maisy and he told you everything. How yeah, she was one of his main hook-ups last season, that he cut it off completely in the summer, it was never super serious and that they haven't talked since.
But Maisy was here in the same seats Tyler gave her last season and Tyler wasn't arguing back...so maybe he didn't tell you everything.
"Why is that, Tyler?" Jamie asked, raising his eyebrows. "Why is Maisy here? Did you get what you wanted from my little sister so you went back to–"
Tyler lunged at Jamie just as Craig walked into the room. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! What the hell is going on?" He asked, looking at you as the two fuming hockey players stood apart from one another.
Jamie and Tyler say nothing, only moving onto opposite tables as Craig points Jamie to sit down. "Y/N, can you help Tyler with gluing that cut? It shouldn't be too much."
It felt like your entire body was throbbing as you stood there, still trying to take in the information that Jamie just shared. You looked at Jamie who was fuming and glaring at Tyler. And when you looked at Tyler, his anger was written all over his face, but there was something else mixed in that you couldn't quite pinpoint. When you finally looked at Craig, you shook your head. "I think I'm going to be sick."
You pushed the kit into his chest before running out of the training room and down the hallway, finding the nearest restroom. When you locked yourself inside of a stall, you hunched over the toilet, the tears falling from your eyes and into the toilet bowl as the sobs wrecked you. Everything seemed like it would be okay, but what had just happened in the game tonight and in the training room– proved otherwise. There's no way you'd be able to complete this internship in one piece. You went to reach for your phone to text Kennedy, but only then did you realize that it was sitting on your desk.
There's no way you'd be able to go back into that room with Jamie and Tyler being there together– you wouldn't survive. And it turns out, bathrooms make pretty good hiding spots.
By the time you had deemed the coast to be clear, you made your way back into the training room once the third period started and you knew no one would be in it. When you walked into the empty room, you sent Kennedy a text, asking her to meet you in the hall after the game and then you spent the rest of your time wishing that the game would just end.
The Stars lost 2-1 and Tyler scored a goal in the third. Once upon a time, not too long ago, Tyler would've joked that he scored that goal for you– 'his number one fan beside his mom'– but now you couldn't help but let your mind wander over into if he ever told Maisy the same.
As promised, Kennedy met you in the hallway with Katie by her side. Katie was explaining all of last season of the Maisy and Tyler saga to you and Kennedy, but you wanted no part of it, so you zoned yourself out, staring at the end of the tunnel, wondering if you'd see her walk down this way. By the time both Jamie and Big Rig came out of the locker room, there was still no sign of Maisy and you couldn't help but wonder if she was waiting out there for Tyler or even if at all.
"Y/N, are you coming home with us?" Katie asked, giving you a friendly smile and ignoring the glare in her direction that was coming from your brother.
You weren't ignoring it though and though it was there, you knew how to read your brother and beneath that glare were hints of sadness. But you didn't care, you were still angry at him for the stunt he pulled in the training room and sad at the fact that up until today, he hadn't bothered to talk to you– and even then, it was aggressive. You looked at Big Rig and nodded your head in his direction. "No, they're just going to drop me off before they go to his place."
Your walk from the hallway and through security and parking to Big Rig's car felt like a blur as Kennedy and Big Rig were focused on their conversation. As you got into the back of the car, you leaned forward between the passenger and driver's seats. "I sent my mentor an email during the game tonight and I have a meeting with her on Thursday to talk about the required hours of my internship and see if I've met them yet."
Kennedy turned back to face you so fast, you were sure she was going to have whiplash. Big Rig, as clueless as ever, looked between you and Kennedy. "What does that mean?"
Kennedy kept looking at you, raising an eyebrow and you just nodded. She sighed and turned to Big Rig. "It means she's done being your trainer."

Y’all this is part one! I repeat!! There is a part two!! Literally no one has read yet!! ❤️❤️
She was a friend of Trager’s, from his past. A young girl he’d saved almost twenty years ago now a grown woman thriving. She worked as a waitress at a bar in Sacramento, and Tig often made visits to see her. As he visited last, he had mentioned that he was concerned for her health and wellbeing. He’d said things were getting kind of crazy around Charming. She took that as a warning to get out of Dodge, so she did. She found a place in Dallas to hunker down, found a good job, and made a little life for herself. She was alone, of course, but she had a few friends.
She got ready for work, putting her hair up into two cute little braided buns, pinning back any loose hair before putting on some winged eyeliner and mascara, some fake lashes, and bright red lips. Smoothing her black button down shirt and fixing her collar, she gets on her bike and heads to work. A few Hispanic bikers showed up as soon as the doors opened. They drank and cheered, celebrating something. She smiled as she wiped down the bar, hands pressing onto the wooden top stopping her circles. She looked up and met the most gorgeous pair of blue eyes.
“Hi! What can I get for ya?” She asks, biting her bottom lip ever-so-slightly as she finished speaking. The blonde’s grin only got wider as he ordered a drink, the leather kutte that rested atop his bare shoulders at first had her heart racing. He was gorgeous. Tall, blonde, wide shoulders, beautiful blue eyes, my god. He was a sight for sore eyes. Her eyes scanned the leather, reading his patches. Sgt. at Arms, Tacoma. Those two meant something to her, as she thought about it while she poured him a drink, and when it hit her she slid the drink to him without another look before disappearing. Her heart was pounding so heavily she thought it might explode. She was leaned against the cool brick wall when Jade found her with a concerned look.
“You okay?” She asks, grabbing the woman’s shoulder. Tig was a sergeant at arms for SAMCRO, and if this guy was the same for Tacoma, she had a bad feeling this guy wasn’t here on pleasure.
“Yeah, sorry. Just felt sick for a second, I’m fine.” She grins, heading back inside to find the blonde still planted at the bar. A few more men made it to the bar, and she could feel the blonde’s eyes on her every move. “You need a refill, Darlin’?” She asks, and his eyes meet hers for a moment as he nods, winking at her. Her knees went weak for a second as his fingers brushed hers when he took the glass.
“Thanks, doll.” She almost visibly choked at the nickname. She’d only been called that by one other person. Her eyes jolted to his and he winked once more, sipping from his drink and watching the golf on the TV above the bar. She hurriedly got the other men their drinks before returning to stand in front of the gorgeous biker.
“You know Trager?” She hushes, eyes pleading him for something. He couldn’t quite tell what she wanted him to say, so he gambled on a yes.
“Yeah, I’m SAMTAC, here on vacation. Trager and I go back pretty far.” He chuckles, taking another sip from his drink.
“Right, got a name blue eyes?” She asks, giving him a little smirk.
“Kozik.” He chuckles, reaching for her knuckles. He takes them into one big, ringed hand for a second before dropping it on the bar.
“Well Kozik, what brings a Tacoma bad boy like you to Dallas on vacation?” She asks, wiping out a couple glasses as her eyes scan the bar for anyone looking for a drink.
“Just got sick of Washington, I guess. Needed a change of scenery. And I gotta tell ya, I’m lovin’ the view.” She snorts, rolling her eyes as she pours another drink for one of the men down the bar.
“How many poor unsuspecting crow eaters you use that on?” She scoffs with a smile. He laughs, giving her a great big smile making her heart jump.
“Probably too many.” He admits, shaking his head.
“Where ya staying?” She asks, writing down her name, apartment, and phone number on an old tab receipt.
“Mariot. Lemme tell ya, those beds suck ass.” He chuckles, eyes watching her scribble. Tig made Kozik a deal, if he could get the girl back to SAMCRO he could patch in. He took the job confidently, how hard could it be to convince a chick to get on a motorcycle with a hot biker? He chuckled to himself as he thought about Tig’s conversation.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Kozik!” Tig shouted through the shop, finding the blonde in the lot working on his bike. “Dumbass! I got a job for ya!” He shouted, waving the big blonde into the clubhouse.
“What’s up?” He asks, wiping his hands off on a grease rag in his pocket.
“Tell you what, with all the shit that went down with Gemma, it got me thinking about a girl I saved.” Kozik snorted, raised his brows at the older man. Tig scowled, swatting him upside the head. “Not like that you fuckin’ idiot. Anyway, this girl is really important man. Be serious, or I’ll find someone else.” Tig warned, pointed a finger at the younger man.

“Sorry, man. Go on.”
“Anyway, lockdown is in four days. You gotta get this girl back here so I can keep her safe.” His eyes were darker than normal, Kozik noticed. Tig really cared about this girl.
“Okay, what’s in it for me? Where is she even at?” Tig looked to the floor.
“I’ll let you patch in. She’s in Dallas at a hole in the wall bar, I’ll give you the address. You up for the challenge?” He asked, scribbling down the information he needed. He watched on as Tig pulled his chained wallet from his pocket and pulled a picture from it. His thumb brushed over the little Polaroid.
“Dallas, man? That like twenty five hours away without stops dude.” He groaned, frowning. Tig grabbed his shoulder and Kozik met his eyes.
“I know, I know it’s a lot. But if anyone has a chance at convincing her to come home, it’s you. Please.” Kozik could tell he was so serious. With a heavy sigh, he grabbed the photo from Tig’s hands and the address and got ready to head out. “Kid? Be careful. She’s a firecracker. She could, in fact, kill you if you piss her off, courtesy of me by the way.” He chuckled before he headed back to the garage.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
“Well here, I’m not sure if my fold out couch is any better but Pop wouldn’t want me leaving you in a shitty motel.” She chuckles, sliding her information across the bar to the man before disappearing out of sight. Her shift is cut short by Jade appearing and grabbing the towel from her hands.
“You and blondie get outta here, Dax wants me to close up since we’ve been pretty dead. Go on!” She laughs, pushing the younger woman out the bar’s two-way swinging door and handing her her purse.
“Oh no, he’s a friend of Pop’s. So no. I won’t be ‘getting outta here’ with him.” She laughs, hopping on her bike and starting it, when his Dyna roars up next to her.
“You out already?” He calls, giving her a sweet, sexy smirk. With a nod, she zooms away with a smile, letting him follow behind her as she headed to her apartment. Pulling into the lot, she hops off her bike, waving him into the same spot she was parked in. As she heads up the stairs, she finds Missus Cipriani sitting on her porch, coffee cup in her wrinkled hands. Grabbing a chair, she sits next to old woman and offers Kozik to lean against the rail.
“Sweet girl, you found yourself a man?” She asks, grinning at the blonde leaned against the iron railing.
“Yes ma’am,” Kozik responds before she had a chance to get the words out. Kozik steps up, patting your shoulder.
“You look nice, tell me young man, what do you do for a living?” She asks, sipping her chamomile tea with honey. Lyra could smell the sweetness and desperately longed for a cup of it.
“I’m a mechanic in Charming, California.” He smiles, gripping the ebony-curled woman’s shoulder.
“Very nice, you two are cute. Have a good night, sweet girl. I love you.” Missus Cipriani smiles as Lyra stood to head to her door. “Lyra?” She asks as Kozik stepped into the small apartment, her apple doll face scrunched up as she smiled wide. “He’s a cutie. And a keeper. Good night, baby.” She grins, all big teeth and wrinkly skin. Lyra grinned back, blowing her a kiss.
“Night, Elsie. Love you. Sleep tight. If that damn cat wakes you up again let me know, I’ll kill that scraggly bastard.” Elsie laughed so hard for a moment, Lyra couldn’t help but laugh along.
“Of course dear. Goodnight.” Lyra steps into her apartment shutting the door. She turns to face the blonde, nervous and a little scared.
“So, Kozik. That’s it? Just Kozik?” He chuckles, looking her up and down, soaking in her petite body, licking his lips.
“It’s Herman Kozik. Don’t call me Herman.” He nips, pointing a finger at her. With a giggle, she unbuttons her black shirt, pulling it off to reveal a floral tattoo on her shoulder, and a plain black bra.
“Feel free to get comfy. I’m gonna go change and I’ll be right back.” She disappears, leaving him to collect his thoughts. They should be on the road by morning or they’d never make the first night. Though if he were honest, he’d rather they stay holed up in her apartment, finding out more about each other, maybe on a deeper personal level. He found her insanely attractive, he found himself having a hard time controlling the urge to touch her.
“Hey, want a beer?” She calls from the kitchen, drawing him back to earth.
“Yeah, that’d be good. Hey, I got a question.” He states, popping his beer cap and putting it in the pocket of his kutte and taking a swig.
“What’s that?” She asks, a small smile on her lips.
“I need you to come back to Charming with me.” He croons, eyes pleading with her.
“Oh no. No you don’t.” He tries to stop her but a fire rages in her eyes, hand gripping the neck of the bottle.
“Listen, I gotta bring you in one way or—“
“No.” She states plainly, sitting on the couch next to him and sipping her beer.
“Come with me.”
“No!” She barks, glaring at him.
“You don’t have a choice. I’ll kidnap you if you wanna look at it that way. Against your will, you can tell everyone in Charming I did it. I kidnapped you, but Tig knows and so do I, it’s for your safety. Get up, we gotta go. Pack a few bags, nothing major, it’s only a week.” He informs, taking another drink trying to calm his nerves.
“Make m—“ He hand covers her mouth and he gets within inches of her face.
“Don’t. Trust me, love. That’s not gonna end well.” He growls low, watching her eyes widen under his hand. With a quick, swift kick, he was flat on his back heaving for breath as she was sprinting away. Catching her ankle, he drops her on the floor and handcuffs her. “Tig was serious.” He huffs, trying to catch his breath.
Lifting her to her feet proved difficult, especially when she slammed her head into his. Grasping at his eye and growling, he tackles her to the ground leaving her there as he headed to her bedroom to pack a couple bags. When he was finished, he dragged her to his bike. Padlocking her handcuffs to the seat strap, he tucks her bags into the saddlebags.
“Christ, you’re such an asshole.” She hisses, her wrists burning from the tight cuffs.
“I’ll take those off if you promise to behave.” He coos darkly, trying to look scary. She chuckles with a glare.
“Behave, Pop did tell you I wouldn’t go willing, didn’t he? That would be why you have the cuffs, right? I mean, unless your a motorcycling badass who plays rent-a-cop.” She snarls. He was tired. He’d been up for almost twenty-seven hours, and he was exhausted. He gave a yawn, and she felt a little bad for being such a pain. Deep down she knew Tig was doing it out of love, but had he really sent this big brute to drag her back kicking and screaming? Of course he had. He sent this big blonde on purpose. He thought she’d be so swooned by his looks that he thought he’d be able to whisk her away. “Fine, I’ll cooperate, but take these off please. Number one, it’s not safe, and number two, I’d rather hold on to you. For safety reasons of course.” She giggles.
“Oh no you don’t. I’m unhooking them on one condition only.” He growls, fingertips feeling his cheek gingerly and wincing. He’d have a black eye from her little excursion.
“And that is?”
“You look me in the eyes and tell me you don’t plan on running, kicking my ass again, or ya know, any crazy horse shit Tig taught you. He’s just trying to keep you safe, and honestly, I don’t know why he sent me. He still blames me for his dog dying. So I don’t know why he sent me, but he did. He trusts your life with me, and I plan on delivering you to him alive. How alive you are, depends on how you wanna act.” He heaves a long sigh, sucking in a huge yawn.
“I know. Listen, let’s sleep tonight and leave in the morning. You’re too tired to drive. You can even handcuff me to you if it helps.” She assures, resting her head on his warm, bare shoulder.
“Yeah, sleep sounds good.” He whispers, unlocking the padlock and helping her off the bike. They went back inside and he did like she suggested he handcuffed her to himself and they laid on the couch. He laid down first, offering on top of him as a totally viable place to be comfortable. Giving a giggle, she agreed. Laying on him, she shivers against him, reveling in the warmth and sweet cologne and smoke that swirled around them. Yanking the blanket off the back of the couch over the two, in seconds they were fast asleep.
“Morning.” She calls from the kitchen as she hears him roll over. He’d left the cuff-keys within reach, and this morning at six when she had to pee, she found them and unhooked herself. She’d considered running, he wouldn’t find her for at least a few hours. She’d decided against it. It might be nice to go back to Charming and see everyone she’d missed. With a sigh, she found herself feeling a little excited.
“Tell me, Tacoma. You originally from Tacoma? Or somewhere else?” He sat up when he heard her voice so far away.
“How did you—“ She tosses the keys to him and disappears again, returning with a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast. “Thanks.” He smiles, taking a bite. “I’m originally from Charming, but me and Tig had a falling out. I left for Washington and Tig became Sargent at Arms for SAMCRO.” He nods finishing his breakfast and standing to stretch. “Hey, I gotta drain the radiator.” She points him towards the bathroom as she heads to his bike to grab the bags he packed. As he stepped out of the bathroom, he went looking only to find the apartment empty. “Fuck!” He shouts, grabbing the door handle just as she stepped back into the apartment to get rid of half the stupid things that he packed.
“Miss me baby?” With a snide remark, she watches as he heaves a deep breath.
“Fuck off.” He breathes, grabbing her tight against him. Was he scared for her safety? Was he worried that she’d run away? He didn’t know what made him do it, but he did, arms tightening around her. Dropping her bags at his feet, and grips his shoulders. “Next time say something.” He snips, pulling himself away from her and eyeing her bags.
“I was gonna repack really quick. I figured you didn’t pack anything I’d actually wear. Which means I’m either going naked or I’m repacking. And that’s totally up to you.” He grins darkly, grabbing her up and making her squeal before he put her back on her feet.
“Go ahead, I’ll be out here.” He smiles, smacking her butt as she scampered down the hall. Appearing a moment later with her bags, she grins at him as she slips out the door, Kozik following quickly behind.
“Missus Cipriani!” She knocks on the woman’s door. As the little old woman appears, she grins when she sees the bags and the big blonde behind her. “Hey, I’m gonna be gone for like a week. You think you could water Jethro and Lucille for me? I’ll leave you my keys.” She hands over her door key, and with a smile, they disappear down the stairs.
He pulls into a gas station and fills up, heading in for a drink.
“You want a drink?” He calls to her. With a little smile, she gets off the bike and heads in with him. His eyes caught a camera in the corner and a man with a swastika on his chest. Grabbing her hips, he pulls her against him, pulling her hood up over her head. “Don’t question me.” He hums in her ear as he leads her to the case for a drink. They both grab energy drinks and head to the counter. His leather kutte should have tipped they off, but they never saw her face. He got her to the counter paid for their things and headed out, hopping on the bike. “Don’t move.” He whispers, pulling a Kevlar vest from a saddlebag and haphazardly pulling it over her head and pressing a kiss to her forehead.
“Kozi—“
“Don’t.” He whispers as the man heads out of the store to a green and off white bronco. Grabbing his cellphone, he dials Tig. “Hey! What does Weston drive? Is he bald?” He asks, his face scowling as Tig answers.
“Is she with you?” He asks, and Kozik assures she’s safe.
“Yeah, she’s got the Kevlar on. Don’t worry.” He murmurs, “listen, does Weston drive a green two tone bronco?”
“Yeah, why? He there?” He asks.
“Yeah. I got it. Just gotta lose him.” He mutters. Climbing on the bike in front of her and shedding his beautiful kutte. “Stuff this between us.” He whispers, before he hears Tig.
“Hey, can I talk to her?” Kozik hands back the phone.
“Hey Pop!” She cheers, getting a sideways glance from a half-mad Kozik.
“He keepin’ you safe?” He asks, voice somber.
“Yeah pop. He’s pretty cute too. Good choice.” She giggles, hearing the blonde huff. Peeking around his shoulder, she sees a smug grin on his face.
“Stay with him, darlin’. I know it’s not ideal, but that Weston guy is gonna try to hurt you. Let Kozik do what he needs to. Don’t fight him. Okay?” He asks as his eyes filled with tears. He was terrified that Weston found them and they hadn’t even left Dallas yet.
“Yeah, Pop. You got it. Hey, is he a good one?” Kozik listened in for a second.
“Yeah, kid. Hold on tight.” He chuckles, swiping quickly at the tears that rolled down his cheeks as Clay walked in.
“Alright, Pop. I love you.” She whispers, feeling her throat start to close.
“I love you too, doll face. You and dumbass keep each other safe, okay? I’ll see you when you get here, hunny. I love you so much.” He whispers, letting her hang up. Tig’s hands smoothed up and down his lap for a while to calm himself down. He should’ve just gone by himself. He should have just done it. Gone and brought her home. He should have never made Kozik that deal. He knew she’d find him attractive, but she sounded genuinely interested. “We need to arrange someone to pick them up the minute they hit California. Make it look like a heist. I’ll send someone else for the bike with a tow truck. Kozik already has a tail. Weston.” He growls.
“Who’s Weston?” She asks as they floor it onto the highway. Kozik checking his mirrors to see the bronco get on right behind them.
“Hold on, babygirl.” He yells over the whipping wind as he cranks the speed. Revering in the feel of her arms squeezing tightly to him, he guns it harder as he weaves through traffic. He hadn’t even meant to call her that, but it slipped out and he didn’t take it back.
“Kozik! He’s gone!” She shouts, giving a shriek and hugging tighter to him as he guns it harder. They headed up to the panhandle of Texas and into New Mexico. As they pulled off into a big gas station and he pulls the bike between two big semis.
“Hey, you can take off the Kevlar. It’s okay. Weston got off in Albuquerque, I got a scout leading him back to Charming.” The pretty blonde heading into the store after filling the bike. She slipped into the bathroom and sat down to pee when she heard the door open and her heart stopped.
“Darlin’?” His rough sweet voice calls from the doorway.
“Yeah.” She calls, finishing up and heading out to find something to drink.
“Hey baby, you okay?” He asks, his arm loosely hanging over her shoulder.
“Yeah, I’m good. Let’s go eat somewhere.” She coos, grabbing onto the front of his kutte.
“Yeah, I suppose we better. You up for breakfast?” He asks, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead.
“Yeah, that sounds good. You okay?” She asks, eyeing him. He looked tired and scared. He looks up for only a moment before he grabs her hand and leads her to the counter with a couple energy drinks and a bag of pizza combos.
“I’m just tired.” He chuckles, dropping a ten on the counter and heading out the door, his favorite black-haired girl in tow.
“Yeah, you ready to find some grub?” She giggles as he swings her in a sweet circle, one arm around her waist, the other clasping her hand. “And you can dance.” She grins, laughing as he swings and twirls her.
“Not a lot.” He laughs, helping her onto the bike before climbing on, her small arms wrapping around his abdomen and holding tightly as he searched for a breakfast place. Pulling into a parking lot across from a Mariot was a little diner he prayed served breakfast. It was close by, they could walk over for actual breakfast in the morning. They had finally made it to Milan, that Kozik read on a pamphlet at the door. Heading into the restaurant, Kozik’s hand doesn’t leave her waist. They’d fallen into an easy routine of being in love, and they barely knew each other. He found he wasn’t curious. He’d loved just being around her. He lets her into the corner against the wall, sliding in next to her.
“Hi! Welcome to Milan! What can I get you two to drink?” Asks the bubbly, curvy waitress, with a happy smile. Kozik assessed her quickly before giving her one of his biggest smiles, making the young girl blush. Lyra felt her heart drop for a second, gripping his thigh.
“I’d like a coffee, just black.” She smiles, giving the blonde dirty look.
“Coffee too, got a long trip ahead.” He smiles, patting her upper thigh in contentment. As the girl nods and wisps away, he presses a kiss to her forehead and murmurs in her ear. “Darlin’, the only person in here with my full attention,” his fingers danced up her thigh, making her shift, “is you, babygirl. Don’t you worry.” He rasps, nipping at her ear before straightening up and flipping open a menu. She let out a few shaky breaths as the waitress reappeared with their coffee.
“You need a few minutes to look over the menu?” She asks, pulling her order book and pencil out.
“I do, you?” She looks to the blonde, kissing the bare skin of his upper arm where the tattoo sat.
“I need just a minute. Sorry, we’ve never been here.” He chuckles, one hand absently gently running back and forth along her inner thigh, exciting her senses and making her knees pull together squeezing his fingertips to make him stop.
“What are you doing?” She hushes into his ear, pressing an ardent kiss to the corner of his lips. He turns his head and kisses her square on the lips, his own warm and inviting. The waitress appeared back with her book, ready to take an order.
“If we order, can we get it packaged to-go?” He asks, one arm slung over her shoulders lazily.
“Yeah absolutely! What can I get packed up for ya?” They ordered breakfast, each getting two different things and got their bag of breakfast food and headed to the hotel across the street. He handed off the food to her and carried their bags in. After checking in, they all but sprinted to the room. He was ready to get her undressed, find out what that big tee shirt and shorts were hiding.
As they slipped into the room, she dropped the food on a table, yanking her clothes off in a whirlwind of flying objects, their clothes landing in a pile together. His warm, strong body met hers feverishly, holding her tight as his lips found hers in a passionate meet of tongues and lips. Her fingers combed through his soft blonde spikes, his fingers tangling in her dark ebony curls as they fell to her shoulders when he broke her hair tie. With a laugh, they continued to get more heated. Digging his wallet from his jeans pocket on the floor, he pulls over a condom, rolling it on as she watched. Grabbing his wallet chain, he unhooks in from his wallet, hauling her back against the bed and wrapping the wallet chain around her wrists twice and clipping them to the bannister of the metal bed frame. He stretched her legs straight down under him and she sucked in a breath when his lips met her cool skin with hot kisses and nips. He ground his hips into hers with smooth rhythm.
He gave a low growl as he slid into her, her eyes blown wide legs wrapping around his waist and her ankles crossing. Unhooking her hands and unwinding the cold chain, he drags it along her clammy hot skin sending shivers down her spine and leaving her gasping for air. The cold shocked her and he grinned as he dropped the chain to the floor and her hands found his back, nails biting into his muscular shoulders.
Hands digging for a hold on him as they reached their peak, Kozik grunting against her as he rode out his high, leaving the two breathless and sated. He padded to the bathroom and she heard the shower start. With a deep breath, she headed in after him with her little travel shower kit. They climbed in the shower and she grabbed her kit and handed him a bottle of men’s shower gel and grabbed her own floral scented body wash.
“Should I ask why you have men’s shower gel?” He chuckles, giving her a little smile.
“Tig sends me a bottle every year for Christmas. I told him I missed having him around so he sent me a bottle of shower gel to put in the corner like he still lived with me, or least visited.” She explains shyly, scrubbing his back, using the loofah to trace the letters etched into his wide shoulders. Something about the black ink against his lightly golden skin, the blonde hair and those beautiful ocean blue eyes that drank her in so often, she fell in love. She was totally in love with this perfect, gorgeous stranger. Pop had done it on purpose. He took the loofah from her hands and squeezed out the men’s body wash before putting her floral pink shimmery wash and scrubbing up and down her body. He found himself mesmerized by her beauty.
A few hours pass and she was reading a pamphlet about the twenty-four-hour pool. Shaking Kozik’s shoulder, he rolls and grunts, waving her away from him. Grabbing her cell phone and a towel, she changes into her two piece swim suit and heads down to the pool. Oddly enough, at two in morning, there was a man at the pool, short dark hair and a swastika tattoo at the base of his throat. He was tall, gangly, all arms and legs as he did laps around the pool seemingly minding his own business. She sits her towel on the fold out chair and saunters into the hot tub.
“Shit, it’s early.” He peeked through one eye and looked at the clock that sat on the side table. 3:45AM gleamed red. He reached for her waist to find the bed empty. Shaking his head, he waited a few minutes before getting up to check the bathroom to find the door open and light off. His heart started to pound as he started down the halls to the pool. Shoving into the pool room, he’s woken completely by the bleach smell starting a fire in his nostrils. He looked through the room and found it empty, expect for a SAMCRO towel hanging on a chair. “No.” He mutters, grabbing the towel and hunting around for any other idea as to where she went.
“Jump in, the water’s fine.” A dark voice calls from behind the blonde man. Kozik turns slowly to face a tall brunette, gangly with a swastika tattoo on his chest. Kozik leaned over the edge to find her sitting on the bottom of the pool.
“Christ!” He jumps in, jeans and black tee, grabbing her and dragging her to the surface and ripping the tape from her mouth and pulling her against him. Smoothing the hair from her face and starts chest compressions. “Come on! Come on! Please! Don’t do this to me!” He shouts, giving her chest compressions until she coughs up some water, sucking in a breath and sputtering up water. “Christ.” He heaves, gathering her against him and undoing the ties around her arms and legs. Lifting her up, he carries her to the chair, grabbing her towel and wrapping it around her. Carrying her up to their room, he calls Tig to let them know what happened. He puts the phone on speaker as he continues to bustle around, pulling all of her wet clothes off of her. No answer. Slapping the phone shut, he tosses it aside to dry her off with a towel and tugging one of his tee shirts onto her and dragging the three layers of blankets up over her. He dials Tig once more, tucking his piece into the band of his jeans and getting everything packed up. They were leaving. In six hours she’d be the safest she could be at TM and he couldn’t handle her wandering off anymore. Why couldn’t she just listen to him? He paced back and forth until Tig finally answered.
“She’s okay.” Kozik starts, “but one of Weston’s guys tried to drown her.”
“What?” Tig storms.
“She’s fine. Sleeping right now. But I have everything packed and we’re leaving in a few hours. We’re six hours away. I’m gonna get her ready to head out in two hours. I’ll call before we hit the road. Tig I’m sorry. I’ll kill that son of a bitch.” He assures, still pacing.
“Lemme talk to her.” He asks.
“She’s sleeping, man.” He looks to her, eyes closed chest gently rising and falling.
“Kozik.” He warns. Carefully, he shook her shoulder and woke her up.
“Sorry, babygirl. Your pop wants to chat at ya for a minute.” She takes the phone, looking at him with a sad, tired smile.
“Hey, you okay?” Tig asks.
“I’m okay.” Her voice is almost non-existent as she rasps out the words.s
“Good to hear, baby. Kozik wasn’t with you when you went to the pool?” Tig drills her with questions and she starts to hunker into the blankets and drops the phone.
“Hey! She got really scared. What ever you were saying she got so scared, man. Listen, she’s safe. I’ll have her there in eight hours.”
“You better.” He growls. “You’ll be lucky if I even let you patch in after this.”
“Listen man, I don’t even care. As long as I get her back in one piece, I’ll go back to Tacoma.” He assures, clicking shut the phone and looking to her. He finds her staring at him in wonder. “Hey pretty girl, don’t worry. We’ll get you to Tig safely.”
“You come cuddle me?” She gets out, grasping her throat. Grabbing a bottle of water, he holds it gently to her lips, pouring the littlest amount into her mouth. The soothing cool water made her sigh and he crawled under the blankets with her for a second, warming her. “You can’t go to Tacoma. I love you.” She murmurs softly against his chest . He smooths her wet hair as she cuddles closer to him, falling fast asleep.
“Oh baby, I love you too.” He whispers, his heart pounding as she lightly snored.

THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY- The swedes/ platonic/ part 7
Retrieving her groceries from the counter, Winnie gave the cashier the briefest of smiles before waddling out the door, her face poking out amid a mountain of paper bags. She shook her head, with a call of, ”I’ve got it,” and ‘“Thank you!” and stumbled down the steps. She pressed her body into the railing, leaning on it like a crutch as she went, lopsided. The bags crinkled and quivered in her arms. Likewise, her stomach crinkled and quivered into knots.
Winnie swerved to avoid a man, nudging aside one of the smaller bags with her nose so that she could see. She would have asked her companions for a lift, but this was the time they spent relaxing. It was little and precious, and so she had infused every speck of energy with herself to walk the entire way there. She had a map and had been to Dallas on a couple of occasions in the 90s. It should have been a piece of cake, except it wasn’t.
Twice on the way she had had to ask for directions, and twice she had paused to scribble down a road name or lean down to add a detour to the large map in red pen. Alleyways, shortcuts- that sort of thing. She hoped they would be of some help when they went about on their missions but she could never tell.
Her thoughts skidded into a halt as she slammed into something very solid and very tall. She crashed backwards and her back hit the sidewalk with a deafening smack, groceries flying from her hands and spilling onto the ground below. It was like she had walked into a brick wall. Except this brick wall extended a huge hand, gripped her arm and pulled her up. To steady herself, she planted her feet heavily on the ground, dazed. She winced as pain shot up her back and throbbed. Already she could feel the bruise forming between her shoulder blades: That would hurt in the morning.
People stepped aside with wary glances, careful to avoid the spillage but nobody paused to help, instead streaming straight past with a steady murmur. A stodgy river of humanity.
“Sorry,” Winnie blurted out, smoothing her jumper shakily ,” I didn’t mean to..,”
“It was me, don’t worry about it,”
“Oh,” Despite the pain, Winnie fell to her knees scrabbling to collect her belongings before- a tomato exploded underneath the feet of a young lady, who shot her a haughty look and strutted away in her heels. Winnie dropped her gaze at once and bent her head over the mess. Her stomach sank like a stone. Great. Their first proper meal in 60’s Dallas and she had ruined it. She would have to throw away at least half of her vegetables, and she dreaded to think of the pork.
“Here let me get those for you,” The man interrupted her thoughts. She blinked rapidly, dazed. He’s still here? The man knelt down before her, scooping her food back into the bags like a machine. He was the biggest man she’d ever seen, dressed in a large navy coat, blue button up and a pair of black fingerless gloves. His hair was short and scrubbed back, and as he slipped one of the wrapped fish into the bag he glanced at her,” “Sorry. Lost a tomato there...,”
‘It’s okay..” She picked up the huge loaf of bread, undid the wrappings, and checked it over for dirt. Nothing. She sighed and pushed it into the closest paper bag. While the man sorted out the rest of the bags, she busied her self with the last one. Bread, milk, cheese. All of them untouched. It was one of the lucky few that hadn’t belched all its insides out onto the pavement. `
As they stood up, he handed her each bag with gloved hands, the fingertips poking out. She fumbled for a moment, nestling the bags in the crook of her arm, and lined them across her body, checking to make sure they were secure.
“You got it?”
“Uh huh,” She stumbled, shifted the bags onto her hips and gave a heavy sigh.
“Shit,”The man muttered,” I’m going to be late,”
Winnie lifted her head,”Listen.. Thank you-“ But the man was gone. Huh.. weird guy. He had to be going to work, or seeing someone special. Sometimes she forgot people had their own everyday lives, completely oblivious to the comings and goings of the the Commission. Of course, she didn’t know much about the Commission either. Only that they sent the little capsules like clock work, and that they regulated time. That was it. They had refused to tell her anything else.
Winnie sighed, rested her chin on top of one of the bags, and decided to take a detour. No one would know, and she’d be perfectly safe. So she made her way about, just a mountain of bags underneath a pair of dark, jean-covered legs. Her arms pressed the groceries closer to her chest protectively. Now, she knew exactly where to go.
This time, she found Elliott shaking on the doorstep, cigarette clamped between his lips. She edged closer, trying not to breathe in the stench of tobacco. He noticed her at once, but said nothing. Then, after a moment of silence, Elliott hesitated and spoke quickly.
“Hey Winnie...,” He exhaled a curl of smoke ,” Can I show you something?”
As they entered his apartment, Winnie set down her groceries carefully by the door and brushed herself down. The home was exactly as as it had been on the previous day- the same untidy, unruly appearance, same stacks of paper that seemed to serve no particular purpose. Except one of the bundles of paper had been opened. Pages spread across the desk, sifted through and regularly thumbed, black annotations spidering across the typed up writing.
To one side, Elliot fumbled about, pushing a huge piece of fabric that had been fixed to the wall aside with his fingers. A large corkboard stood resolute underneath, covered in grainy photographs, notes and annotations. Winnie looked curiously on. Now that her arms were free, she fiddled with the strap of her satchel.. Clearly he’d uncovered something- something had to have happened. Elliott faced her with a tight smile.
“ Over the past three years I’ve witnessed five energy surges- six now- and these people appearing outta thin air,” He stated. His arm was flung out, gesturing to the board wildly, as if he wanted to force his point out with action.
“See?” He stabbed one of the photographs with one finger and looked at her for a reaction. Winnie squinted. She could just about make out the marked curves of a face, the shadowy figure staggering on the ground. Her mind ran at once to their own travels. Could these people be from the Commission? And if so, where were their briefcases? She leaned in curiously, scanning each photograph for one but found none.But then she stopped. She stared. Grainy, smaller with the angle of the camera but nonetheless unmistakable, was the man from earlier. Winnie blinked and shook her head, her lips parted slightly.
“And yesterday I had one of em come here,” Elliott continued, ” He came here and there’s more of em.. and..” There was no time to decide whether or not she believed him. His hands shook violently, caught in a never ending tremor. In that moment, she knew he was telling his truth. She shoved aside all thoughts of the man and bade him sit down. Her eyes peered worriedly down at him.
Elliott swallowed and nodded, lowering himself onto a desk chair. His fingers gripped the edge of his seat, eyes wide and staring into space. God he looked terrible. Worse than before, If possible. Winnie leaned against the workbench, waiting patiently for him to continue.
His dark eyes settled on her for a moment. Without warning, his hand shot out and seized her arm tightly, and a cry flew from her lips before she could stop herself. Her eyes widened. It took everything she had to force the familiar buzzing in her chest down before it burst forth from her, screw it up like a paper ball. Unpredictable, unexplainable. She could not afford any mishaps. Elliott could not know.
“You can’t tell anyone, you hear me?” He demanded, flecks of spittle flying from his lips. His face was red and she shrank back. When his fingers dug into her wrist, Winnie squeezed her eyes shut and tried to blot it all out, nodding violently.
“ I promise,” She managed, her heart pounding in her chest, flooding her ears.
“Good,” His grip slackened and she wrenched herself free. Her knuckleduster pressed against her hip, but she would not use it. She could become violent and run, but she was resigned to it. He was desperate, but he did not deserve it, she told herself. Though her heart still pounded, though adrenaline pumped through her veins, she would not harm him. Never.
There was a long, painful silence, and after a while, Elliott looked up slowly, shamefully.
I’m sorry Winnie,” He said in a small voice.
“It’s okay....,” Winnie lied, slipping her hands into the pockets of her jeans.The coolness of the knuckleduster was somewhat reassuring in all this. she held it tightly like a wishbone, still shaken up.
Elliott relaxed back in his chair and spoke again,” One came here yesterday. He could teleport or something...- I don’t.. I don’t know what it was,” He rubbed his temples with his fingers meditatively, as if trying to settle himself.
” He could... teleport?”
“Yes.. that’s what I said..” Elliott looked at her closely,” You don’t believe me?”
“No, no, no,” Her mind ran to her own abilities. She was the only one that had these powers( That she knew of). Was it possible that there were more people like her? In this time? She vaguely remembered an academy with children like her. But that had been years ago. Six years ago, in fact. Although technically she hadn’t even been born yet.
” I believe you,” She promised. Elliott sighed heavily, eyes moving to the grocery bags, discarded by the door.
“Come on.. I’ll drop you home,” He muttered.
“ Are you sure?” Her eyes glimmered as she looked at him, tiredly,” I can walk.”
“Yeah.. I owe you that at least,”
She spent the car journey in silence, listening to the radio spit out tunes, bobbing her head along to the music as if it wasn’t 30 years outdated. Which it wasn’t. These musicians were still in their prime, she had to remind herself. No use getting caught up in the specifics. Time travel made her head hurt. She gazed out the window as Dallas rolled by, These streets. These people. They were constantly changing and by the time she came back- if she came back- it would be completely different again. Shifted by time. That’s the thing about time. Time changed things, changed people too.
She glanced at Elliott, who gripped the steering wheel tightly as they drove. Clearly he’d had enough on his plate before some teleporting boy popped into his life. No wonder he’d snapped. Still, she stiffened in his presence, her fingers fiddling and pinching the sleeves of her jumper, pulling them down to cover her hands.
When they arrived, Winnie was out the door in an instant. . She took the bags from Elliott, accepted another flurry of apologies, her heart a stone heavier, and sighed.
“It’s all good,” Winnie said shortly, forcing a smile.,” I’ve got it,” She shifted and cradled them to her chest. Elliott glanced at her and nodded.
“ You sure you don’t want me to help you to the door?” He asked quietly. His voice was thick and his hand gripped the door of the ancient car.
“It’s fine,” She said. Her mood had greatly diminished, melting into grey, rhythmless sludge. But she would have to hide it if she wanted them to concentrate. No use them worrying about her. They had their job- that was more important. Elliot disappeared into his car, her shoulders slumped to her sides gratefully.
But as she turned to leave, Elliott poked his head out of the window and called her back down.“Listen.. thanks for hearing me out Winnie. I needed to talk to someone who doesn’t think I’m crazy.” His voice cracked.
” It’s okay,”A glimmer of a real smile inched onto her lips,” At least you’re not a serial killer,” Oh the irony.
“Right...”
She waited until the ancient silver car had disappeared into the distance, leaving nothing but rising fumes to turn towards the house. You never could be too careful. She of all people should know that.
As Winnie shuffled away in the direction of their home, a woman watched from afar, humming soullessly under her breath. She smiled like a spider. A sharp smile, twisted with malcontent and churned with expectation- a sort of a lust for power over the fly. Her fingers spun silk, her jaws were poison and her eyes were everywhere. She had found a liability, and she was going to wrap it up and exploit it. All to intertwine them in her bloody plot.
There you go! Sorry if it’s not as good as usual. This one hurt my head (and my butt because my chair is broken).

FFT: discount chocolate day
Notes:
So this is an anti-valentines prompt sent to me on the main by @schizoauthoress and I have to say, given that I’m not the biggest valentines day fan, I really enjoyed it. So, I gave it a space here on this blog. Definitely want to write more for these two.
Summary:
Two anti-Valentines grouches just kind of awkwardly and resistantly starting the process of falling into love. This is the beginning. Bantering and bickering. Fluffy af if you squint.
Warnings:
anti - valentines, alcohol tw - mentions of it, fluffy bantering and bickering between two grumpy people and that’s about it.
Pairing:
Curtis Axel x OFC, Nicolette
“Happy…” before Alexa could even finish what she’d been about to say, Nicolette had her fingers in her ears, humming so loudly that Alexa couldn’t finish. Almost the instant that Nicolette had taken her fingers out of her ears, Alexa tapped her foot and asked in a huff, “Are you done now? Do you feel better?”
“I’ll feel better tomorrow.” Nicolette shrugged, offering no further explanation. Everything around her was decked out in red and an almost unsettling shade of Pepto pink and people were being so utterly adorable together that quite frankly, Nicolette was just sick of the entire holiday. It was a commercialized sham to begin with, were people really too stupid to see?
“Why not today, I mean it’s..” again, as soon as Alexa went to mention Valentine’s, Nicolette started to plug her ears and hum. As soon as Alexa’s mouth was closed, Nicolette took her fingers out of her ears again and Alexa glared at her. “Grouch.”
“Not a grouch, merely a realist. This entire sham of a fucking holiday is just a convenient way for corporations to make money.” Nicolette answered in an even tone, her gaze flitting around the backstage area in sheer boredom as she did so. “Honestly, half these people who are sucking face now wont be next week.”
“Some of them are married, Nic!” Alexa rolled her eyes; exasperated with her friend at the moment. Nicolette shrugged. “It’s not my fault they don’t calculate risks before taking them.”
“So that’s your real thoughts on Valentine’s Day?”
“Umm, yeah. Yep, pretty much. There’s honestly no point in a holiday where the suicide rate hikes up at least ten percent. I mean, the pressure itself is enough to drive someone insane. Everything has to be perfect this one day.. People seem to forget there are also 364 additional days in the year in which they could show a person they love them too. But no, let’s just focus on the train-wreck fuckery of this one fucking day.”
“You have to be lying. If a guy came up to you right now and gave you candy or a bear or roses..” the wheels in Alexa’s mind were turning already, but they were subsequently ground to a full stop when Nicolette shrugged mildly and opened her locker, holding out a card. “I got something. And I still strongly dislike this farce of a holiday. Care to try again?”
“You’re just being contrary now.”
“It’s my prerogative.” Nicolette shrugged and turned to dig through their shared makeup kit, grabbing for her favorite MAC shade and it’s corresponding lipliner. “Wait a minute. You haven’t even opened this!? Why?” Alexa’s question had Nicolette rolling her eyes and shrugging.
“Because knowing my luck, it’s probably a glitter bomb or something. Thing will probably explode, spraying glitter everywhere. I mean.. I’ll richly deserve it because I put Icy Hot in Mandy’s bra, but yeah. I’m 99.999 percent certain that this is some kind of stupid prank… Just like..” Nicolette trailed off and added silently, every other time someone’s ‘had a secret crush on me’, to herself. Alexa was still gaping at her.
“Aren’t you even like… a little curious?”
“Nah.”
… liar, liar, pants on fire, her brain saw fit to taunt her, but she ignored it. Just like she’d been ignoring it all damn day. Just like she was hell-bent to continue ignoring it until she got good and damn ready to do otherwise. Oh, she was beyond curious as to what the envelope might hold. But she wasn’t planning to indulge that curiosity either.
“Well, if you’re not opening it, I am.” Alexa grabbed the red envelope and tore it open and Nicolette found herself torn between watching it happen and pretending complete and total disinterest and continuing to apply her makeup.
“WHAT THE FUCK?” red glitter clouded around Alexa almost as soon as she had the envelope fully open and all Nicolette could do was shrug and smirk at her friend. “I did try to warn you, Alexa.”
“You enjoy this.”
“Maybe just a little?” Nicolette stopped laughing for a second or two. The let down she felt at being right wasn’t something she felt like dealing with, so she pushed it out of her head. It didn’t matter anyway. She’d rather not focus on being right again and it’s implications or her deepest hopes.
Alexa grabbed for Nicolette’s favorite black lace tank top and wiped at her face, swearing again when all the glitter didn’t just come right off. She stomped her foot, whining and tugging at her pigtails. “Now I have to wash all this makeup off and redo it.”
“I’ll do it. I think I can actually lean into this whole glitter whore aesthetic you’ve got going on tonight. Did you learn a lesson though?”
Alexa flipped her the bird and sank back into the chair sitting in front of the vanity as she grumbled aloud, “Okay, Ms. Know it all. But I saw that disappointed look on your face when you were actually right.”
“That was more or less a look of disgust. You got glitter on my Louboutins, bitch.” Nicolette grabbed for her favorite black and red makeup brushes and set to work after priming Alexa’s face and fanning it so it might dry a little quicker.
At one point, she happened to glance down as the light caught on little flecks of red dotting her cleavage and she rolled her eyes in disdain. “Could you have gone elsewhere to open the damned card, Bliss?” with a pout.
Alexa gave a giggling shrug and shook her head no as Nikki Cross peeked in. “Thought ah ‘eard yellin.”
“It was Bliss. I told her to leave the glitter bomb card in my locker alone. She refused. Now we’re having to redo her entire face and not even ten minutes before the three of us all have to go down to the damn ring and face against Bayley and Sasha and their mysterious third.” Nicolette rolled her eyes and laughed softly, giving her friend a fond smile as she finished up with Alexa’s makeup.
“You’ve got glitter on your titties.” Alexa nodded at Nicolette’s cleavage and smirked at her friend.
“I noticed.” Nicolette replied dryly, grumbling as she grabbed for a makeup wipe and tried to get the sparkly red flecks off her skin.
Their theme music hit and the three of them made their way down to the ring, trying not to laugh about the whole incident as they did their promo against Bayley and Sasha and their mystery partner for the night.
–
“So, wot are yer big plans for t’night?” Nikki asked Nicolette.
“Well, as soon as we get back to the hotel and I’m out of these shoes, I’m going to change and go to Target.” Nicolette was already wiggling her feet free from the heels and giving a sharp hiss as she raised her foot and flexed her toes to give them room to breathe at last. “I will never.. And I mean ever.. Wear a brand new pair of heels without breaking them in first. Regardless of how good they may or may not make my ass look.”
“Oh come on! Come out with us.” Alexa was trying again to talk her into going out to a nightclub but Nicolette just wasn’t feeling it; especially not on Valentine’s day. No, she’d really rather not.
“I’d really rather not tonight…” Nicolette shrugged and Nikki eyed her, smirking.
“She’s got ‘erself a date.”
“If by date you mean Silence Of The Lambs, a bottle of wine and discounted Godiva chocolates, then yeah.. Yeah I do have a date.” Nicolette gave a smirk as Alexa eyed her. “You really hate Valentine’s day. This isn’t just a way to be contrary, you genuinely dislike it. Why though?”
“Because it’s bullshit. If you can’t love someone the entire year, why make a big fucking deal out of one day?” Nicolette shrugged as their SUV pulled to a stop in the parking lot of the hotel. She got out, stretching and grabbing her luggage from the back of the SUV, starting her walk towards the hotel lobby.
About halfway across the parking lot, she heard her name being shouted. She ignored it, kept walking. But just as she got to the doors, she felt a strong tap to her shoulder and she turned to find herself surrounded by Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel and Heath Slater.
“Boys. Hi.” Nicolette looked from man to man, her gaze lingering a second or two longer on Curtis as she gave hints of a teasing grin.
Curtis felt Heath nudging his elbow into his side and he cleared his throat, smirking as he held out a pair of bright red lace and a black lace bra. Heath snickered and Curtis spoke up. “These fell out of your bag. Fancy.”
“Oh my god.” Bo palmed his face and shook his head. Heath snickered at Curtis and Curtis gave a shrug, flashing that smirk at Nicolette as he held out the panties and bra to her. Nicolette reached for them, her hand brushing his and quickly pulling them free from his grasp. “Well they better be, I mean they’re fucking Agent Provocateur.”
Curtis chuckled and shrugged, gave her a blank look. “Either way, they fell on the pavement.” he raked his hand over the top of his head, biting his lip as he found his eyes fixed on her eyes. An almost milk chocolate-colored, he could’ve easily stood there staring at her all night, but somehow, he got the sense that she’d only be annoyed by it and that to an extent, she was used to it and hated it. “Happy Valentines Day.” he muttered the words and she gave a roll of her eyes.
It had him curious. She had him curious, actually. He’d never particularly paid her any certain amount of attention before, but right now? She had his full and undivided attention. At the very least, she seemed to be of a similar mindset to him in regards to Valentines.
“Discount chocolate day is better.” Nicolette quipped, biting her lip as she found herself kind of lingering her gaze on his mouth. The feel of his hand against her hand a few seconds before had been.. Unexpected but not entirely disliked either. She’d die before admitting it, of course, but the fact remained. Now that she was up close and personal with Curtis Axel, the man did have her intrigued just a little bit. “Is that all, Curtis?”
“Yeah.” Curtis managed to cough out the word because it suddenly hit him that at some point during their little exchange, she’d stepped closer and so had he and somehow, neither of them seemed to notice. However, he couldn’t help but notice that the second she did, she quickly stepped back and straightened herself up.
It made him smirk a little because that little flash in those eyes of hers told the tale clearly. He’d done something, he’d had some sort of effect on her.
“Well, I’m going in now.” Nicolette turned on her heels and slunk away and Curtis stared after her almost to a point where Heath reached out and lightly smacked him right in the back of his head. Bo cleared his throat, gesturing at the doors to the lobby. “Well?” Bo asked with a curious gleam in his eyes, “Aren’t you going to at least go say something else?”
“Nah. I got shit to do.” Curtis shrugged it off.
“Right.. Your plan of going up to your suite and shutting yourself in.”
“Still say you oughta come out with us, buddy.”
“I’d rather not.. Not tonight. Too much syrupy sweet shit. I don’t wanna bear witness to it.” Curtis rubbed his chin in thought, still staring intently at the lobby doors.
–
“Okay, let’s see here. I’ve got the wine.. I’ve got all the stuff to make myself fettuccine alfredo, I’ve got myself my favorite gelato, now let’s see if they have the chocolates marked down..” Nicolette turned the corner of the Valentine’s clearance aisle and smirked as her eyes settled on the Godiva chocolates on the top shelf. In her distraction, she managed to push her cart right into another cart.
Curtis grumbled and looked up from the box of dark chocolates he’d been thinking of buying, prepared to glare at whoever rammed him. When he saw Nicolette standing there, scrolling through her cell phone, he smirked to himself.
She’d changed clothes. Gone was the little black leather mini skirt and the low cut white v neck blouse. And gone were the heels.
… she’s so fucking tiny… the thought crawled across his mind lazily and he smirked just a little more.
He cleared his throat and spoke up, flashing her that smirk the entire time. “We have got to stop meeting like this. People are going to talk.”
Nicolette eyed Curtis with a raised brow. She smirked just slightly, shrugging. “Let them talk then. I’m just here to get stuff to cook tonight.”
“And wine, apparently.” Curtis chuckled.
Nicolette’s eyes settled on the case of beer and the juicy porterhouse steaks in his own cart and she felt her mouth-watering a little. Suddenly, just having fettuccine Alfredo, wine and chocolate was not nearly as filling as she’d originally thought.
“I mean speak for yourself, you’re the one who has a case of glorified horse piss in their own cart.”
“Beer is not that bad. It’s not fruity.”
“Exactly. It’s bitter and gross and it smells like an old gym sock.” Nicolette teased, her eyes darting over him while he was rifling through the boxes on the shelf in front of them. Her own eyes settled upwards, towards the top shelf chocolates.
The Godiva white chocolate truffles, to be precise.
Rather than ask for help, she gripped the shelf above her head and stepped onto the lowest shelf. From beside her, Curtis happened to glance up from the box of Hershey’s dark in his hand just in time to see her trying to reach for the box of white chocolate Godiva over her head. He snickered and stepped up, one hand bracing her lower back and the other reaching up, grabbing it lazily.
“Your overpriced glorified vanilla.” Curtis quipped as he held it out to her and watched her do it again, step away from him a little too quickly while staring just a little too long and biting that pouty little lower lip. “It’s not vanilla. I mean, at any rate, it’s better than Cella’s.”
“Oh god, anything is better than Cella’s. Cella’s is disappointment in a box.” Curtis spoke up quietly, stepping closer all over again, mostly just to see what she’d do. She stepped away, giving him a raised brow. But she smirked and nodded.
Her eyes settled on his steaks for a third time and he just wasn’t the kind of guy to not at least offer, so he spoke up. “You’re going to starve with all those empty calories, princess. How about you let me cook you an actual meal, yeah?”
“My name is Nicolette.” Nicolette made a point to say it, even though she was more than a little affected by the nickname.
“Oh, but I think you’ve made it blatantly obvious princess suits you better.” Curtis was stepping a little closer again. She backed away, eyeing him, her mouth opening and closing. Clearly, she wasn’t used to a man holding their own against her little tactics.
“I did no such thing!” Nicolette was doing her best to seem offended. Even as the heat rose to her cheeks and she felt her thighs clench tighter than if they’d been bound by molasses.
Curtis caught that little look in her eyes and smirked, his eyes flickering over her body and an amused gleam in his own eyes. “Just save us both the hassle and give in. No catch. No expectations. Or are you too scared, hm?”
“Oh, I’m not scared at all. Fine. I accept your dinner proposal. Only if you let me make the Alfredo I was planning to make too. Hell, I’ll even throw a little culture into the mix for you in the form of this red wine.”
“You can honestly keep your wine, princess. But I will let you make your alfredo.”
Nicolette was left gaping as soon as he walked towards the register, stopping at the end of the aisle to wait on her, chuckling to himself.
How the fuck had he gotten her to agree to a dinner date?
“Hope he knows I am not getting dressed up all over again… Okay, maybe just a little.. My silk pajamas..” Nicolette mused to herself as she started to push the cart to catch up to him.
“You’re something else, sir.”
“Sir, huh?” Curtis stopped pushing his cart towards the self-check lane to look back at her. “It’s Curtis.”
“Well, Curtis. Are you opposed to Silence Of The Lambs? Because I always watch that on.. This particular hell day.”
“It puts the lotion on it’s skin or else it gets the hose again.” Curtis chuckled as he quoted the line from the movie. Nicolette gave a quiet giggle and added, “A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice Chianti.”
“This is going to be an interesting night, I’m guessing?” Curtis remarked as he rang up the steaks, his chocolates and the pint of rocky road he’d gotten himself and the case of beer. Nicolette rang up her own purchases and after a few seconds, she had to agree. “I think so. It’s better than me, picking apart the movie all by myself I suppose.”
“You’re just not willing to admit that maybe it’ll be fun, huh?” Curtis smirked as he met her gaze.
“Ask me after it’s all over.”
“Noted.”

Time Traveling Swing Dancers/Teachers/Assassins
Welp, I did it y’all. I made it full circle to the book that started it all, 11/22/63. I read this brick of a book back in 2016, which lead me to The Stand, which led me to a journey towards 73 novels. Bless your heart, 11/22/63.
I just love this book. My first read through back in the day took me only a couple days; my second trip back in time took me almost a week, still a feat for the 800+ pages of book. Let’s go.
Another tale, like Under The Dome, that ruminated in King’s mind since the 70’s but came to fruition in the 21st century. Although the idea kicked around in King’s head for decades, he was daunted by the research that would be required to tell the story properly, so I think he waited until he was swimming in that sweet sweet money to hire a research team. Per usual, I am speculating.
But King did have a research assistant on this book, that much is true. He also consulted with the likes of Doris Kearns Goodwin, a treasure of American history, who gave King some real fun ideas about what might have happened if JFK had lived. The research was obviously thorough, and like it or not, you sure learn a lot about real-life Lee Harvey Oswald in this work of fiction. You’ll also squiggle in your seat through reminders of racism and hate that lived out loud in the 60s, different but also the same as we see today. History doesn’t change everything.
King has said that the extensive research and reading he did to prepare to write this story confirmed in his mind that Oswald acted alone. While it’s fun to imagine conspiracy theories of magic bullets and a second shooter, if King believes, I’m inclined to believe. If QAnon has taught us anything, it’s that Americans love a conspiracy theory. If Jack Ruby hadn’t shot Oswald in that parking garage, we may have learned what actually happened on November 22, 1963. If Oswald had gone to trial and had been placed under oath. If his last words weren’t about how he was a patsy. If, if if. Maybe Jake should have stopped worrying about stopping Oswald and stopped Ruby instead.
So, yeah, Jake Epping. Our hero of this tale. He’s a writer that teaches and lives in Maine. I mean, if I had a dollar for every time I started a book summary with that sentence, I’d have like $10 bucks and I probably go buy myself a fancy coffee of something.
Jake’s a teacher and loves hamburgers! Who doesn’t. He get’s them cheap at his favorite diner, from the proprietor named Al Templeton, who harbors a pretty rad secret that he’s gunna toss onto Jake. Now, why Jake? I mean, I don’t really know. Al doesn’t have any family and Jake is young and unattached? I suppose at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter, because Jake, like Frodo Baggins before him, is off on an adventure.
Because Al’s diner is actually a portal back in time. We all suspend some disbelief - it’s some version of a thinny (maybe?) that plops you from present day back to 1958. The rules are this: however long you spend in the past, you can return to the future just 2 minutes after you left. Al says there’s no impact on quick trips - Al’s been going back and forth for years buy ground beef for his cheap burgers - but when you do something that might change the future, the past will push back. We learn that Al is very, very wrong, but more on that later.
Al’s set out to save John Fitzgerald Kennedy from his head exploding, but the past gave him lung cancer and he didn’t make it to ’63. He’s back in the present and ready to tag Jake into the ring to get back to the fight for him. Jake hesitates but not NEARLY enough. Seriously, if some stranger told you had to go back in time, follow around a total assmunch for 5 years and live WITHOUT CELL PHONES OR NETFLIX?? I don’t care how delicious the root beer in 1958 is. Fuck that.
Jake goes. A couple times actually. He’s first interested in saving Harry, the high school janitor’s family from being murdered, which is a real noble cause. The past gives him diarrhea, and he wears a diaper to take out the bad man. He fails the first time (diarrhea), heads back home to “reset”, and back to 1958, succeeding the second time around. Sayonara douche.
We cross paths with Beverly and Beep Beep Ritchie in Derry, where Jake spends a fair amount of time in 1960. The town is dark, creepy and troubled, and Jake hates being there. Little interconnected web of the King-o-Verse is always there, and I love every second of it.
Jake heads to Dallas to wait on Oswald, realizes he hates it (lol, fuck Dallas-Fort Worth), and moves out to the country instead. He gets a nice little job and meets a librarian, and our heroine, Sadie. Sadie’s got some real baggage in the form of a psychotic ex-husband (men are mostly the worst in this book) but her and Jakie fall in love anyways. She’s a well written, strong female lead and I haven’t loved a female King character this much since Lisey.
General consensus is that the mid-section of this book is that it drags a little bit, but I couldn’t disagree more. Sure, does Jake putting on a big theater production have literally anything to do with Lee Harvey Oswald? Nope. But I loved all Jake’s time in Jodie, Texas. He falls in love with Sadie, they are lovely and happy, and albeit doomed because of time travel, it’s a wonderful distraction from all the heaviness.
That said, PLEASE Stephen King, DON’T WRITE SEX SCENES LIKE THIS. ::Monkey with hands over eyes emoji:: The sex stuff is awful. There’s a lot of broad references to Jake and Sadie’s love life, like “She looked. Then she touched.” Gross.
Exhibit B:
She said, "Don't make me wait, I've had enough of that," and so I kissed the sweaty hollow of her temple and moved my hips forward ... She gasped, retreated a little, then raised her hips to meet me. "Sadie? All right?"
"Ohmygodyes," she said and I laughed. She opened her eyes and looked up at me with curiosity and hopefulness. "Is it over, or is there more?"
"A little more," I said. "I don't know how much. I haven't been with a woman in a long time."
It turned out there was quite a bit more … At the end she began to gasp. "Oh dear, oh my dear, oh my dear dear God, oh sugar!"
Guys, this passage was from Sadie’s FIRST TIME. She comes? And Jake notices there is blood on the sheets afterwards. But she orgasmed. Yeah ok, sure.
Other than poorly written Harlequin romance passages, the rest of the story clips along with lots of fun (and not so fun) bits, leading the the culmination of Jake (spoilers) killing Oswald. Sadie dies in the process and it is heart wrenching. But at least the world got saved?
WRONG. Another gripe is this; Jake goes back to 2007 and it’s a fucking post apocalyptic wasteland. Nuclear war has ruined the globe - Jake somehow crosses paths with Harry the janitor, who gives him a 5 minute synopsis of how everything went to hell. It is TOO SHORT. Why do we spend so little time here? I want more dystopian future.
We also get a brief bit about how each trip back isn’t a real “reset” - each one triggers a new “string” or parallel universe. Al’s diner isn’t the only passage, and anyone that has read the Dark Tower books gets it. Al was dumb and Jake was dumb, and at the end of the day Jake resets the past and saves this new string from nuclear fallout but you know those poor souls that were on that timeline are still fucked?
Anywho, the end is lovely and King changed what he originally planned (which was lame) at his son’s suggestion. Good job Joe Hill. Maybe I’ll read some of his books someday.
So that’s 11/22/63. This is the latest in King’s bibliography that I have already read, so I’m headed into the last 20 or so novels without any spoilers at all. I still haven’t even let myself watch The Outsider on HBO yet.
Speaking of adaptations, Lisey’s Story on Apple+ starts airing on Friday. Will be watching and hope that it is better than The Stand.
9/10
First Line: I had never been what you would call a crying man.
Last Line: Then the music takes us, the music rolls away the years, and we dance.
Adaptations:
A Hulu miniseries! They did 2 seasons of Castle Rock, so they’re a-ok in my book. Anything not produced by ABC is a-ok with me. I watched it when it aired and it was pretty decent IIRC. I’ve started rewatching, but only made it through the first episode so far. It’s a hard rewatch knowing what a creep James Franco is. And his fake goatee in the first 30 minutes is the actual worst.
The show takes its own liberties with the plot which is fine; Jake gets a partner in crime named Bill; without Bill we’d have a lot of internal Franco monologue I’d guess. The show is well cast and well acted, and has an 8.2 on IMDB, so it’s doing a lot better than most King projects.
James Franco channeling his inner Annie Wilkes.

“oh. it’s still super good!”
“did you just compare my work to a 1st graders?”
“…i ain’t mean it like that.”

Tyler Seguin #1.2
Anonymous said: Part 2 of the Tyler imagine, maybe Tyler is the one who gets jealous ? 😊
A/N: so this got like just a little steamy, but yeah whatevs haha hope you liked it :) also this did skip a few on the queue simply because i got inspiration to write something tyler related
Word Count: 1,135
"Yeah, no, it's just that Nicole said she was going to be back Friday to me," you said into the phone that you held up to your ear. Licking off your spoon of yogurt, you looked out the window and at your backyard that was recently cleaned up by your gardeners.
"Oh, well maybe I'll double check with her but I'm pretty sure she said I was picking her up Saturday evening," Jeff responded on the other line.
"Well, if it's Friday I can come with you," you stated, "but if it's Saturday I can't cause I'll be across the city,"
All of a sudden Tyler walked from where he had been lounging in the living room and into the kitchen. After a long day at camp, you had chosen to let him be and take your call in the other room. Only you should've known how he'd get lonely and turn into the adorable - yet annoying - needy boyfriend that he had turned into these past few weeks. Things became official only two months ago, but after his season ended with Dallas, he realized he had nothing better to do than bother you all day and night.
"Doing what?" Jeff asked just as Tyler got closer to you, rounding the island till he was leaning against the counter beside you.
"Ty's meeting Colleen and Kevin," you said.
"Wow, meeting the parents already, huh?" Jeff questioned, not sounding too impressed that your conversation had turned to Tyler. He never did sound amused whenever Tyler was brought up. Ever since the first night they met, they hadn't gotten close by any means.
At the sound of his name, Tyler looked up from his phone screen and peered down at you. You smiled at him and then he was taking a step so he was standing in front of you now. Rolling your eyes, you turned you back to him and focused on your best friend who was sounding annoyed.
"If I wait any longer to bring him around, Colleen will probably rip my head off,"
“Or cut off your funds,"
"Hey those funds are out of her reach, have been for years thank you very much," you said while crossing your arms. Just then Tyler's arms snaked around your waist and his body pressed against yours.
"Grandma Wendy wouldn't have it any other way," Jeff chuckled.
"I was her favourite granddaughter,"
"You were her only granddaughter,"
"You're right," you chuckled and rolled your eyes.
Tyler leaned his head till his chin rested on your shoulder. You still paid him no attention, instead falling back into the fact you couldn't join Jeff in picking up Nicole from the airport on Saturday. But you'd be free for Sunday lunch with the two if it came to it. As you thought up where to have lunch, Tyler's hand roamed across your stomach and down your hips. Then one hand came up to brush back your hair so your neck was exposed for his lips to explode.
You bit down on your bottom lip and found yourself leaning back into his hips as he sucked on your neck. It felt really good. But, he was being really rude by interrupting your phone call. Which he knew was with Jeff, so that gave you the idea this was all on purpose. Two months and the two boys were still at each other throats - even through phone calls it seemed it was still a damn contest over your attention.
"Yeah, it's like 7 in the morning there I think," Jeff said. "But knowing Nicole she probably went out last night and will be asleep till at least noon,"
"Classic Nicole," you breathed out as your fingered curled and your heart beat was picking up pace. Tyler's lips had your body getting excited, and you were pissed about it. He knew you couldn't resist him.
"Are you okay, Y/N?" Jeff asked.
"Yeah," you sighed, "just tired,"
"It's like six in the evening," Jeff chuckled.
"Hang up the phone," Tyler muttered into your ear. His teeth grazed your lobe, causing a shiver to fall over your skin. You shut your eyes and ended up leaning back into his hips again, noticing just how badly he wanted you to hang up the phone - probably so your lips could be doing something else besides talking. Tyler won this time.
"Yeah, I'll text you later Jeff," you said and then brought the phone away from your ear and ended the call. There was no way he didn't have any idea what was happening on your end of the call.
Just as Tyler's teeth gently pinched the skin below your ear, you swirled around and put both your hands on his chest, putting only a few inches between your two bodies. With narrow eyes set on his and your lips in a thin line, you were ready to give the boy hell.
Tyler raised a brow, and then the corner of his mouth turned up into a smirk. Alright, after this, you were going to give him hell. You smashed your lips onto his, the hungry taking control of your body, as both of your guys hands roamed your bodies. Tyler picked you up and set your on the counter, the ping on your spoon hitting the counter made you think of the mess of yogurt - but only for a second. You moaned as his lips left a burning trail down your skin, till he stopped between your breasts.
"I swear to god, Tyler, if you stop now I'm going to lose it," you hissed while grabbing a fist full of his hair.
Tyler smirked against your skin and went back to work. You leaned your head back and bit down on your bottom lip, refraining from letting more moans escape your lips. After Tyler had done enough work on your chest, leaving a matching hickey to the one that was very obviously on your neck, you grabbed his hair once more and brought his face up to yours.
Yours lips moved in sync once again, while you were feeling up Tyler's chest. Sure, you were complaining about the warm Texas day earlier, but now you were thanking the gods while feeling up your boyfriends abs. Tyler pulled back from the kiss and grumbled under his breath.
"I hate when you pay attention to other guys," he snarled.
"Can't say any other guy gets this kind of attention, Ty," you said.
"Good," he murmured before pressing his lips to yours once again. There was no time to chuckle at how possessive he was acting, cause his hands started roaming again and your breath caught in your throat. You had yet to do it on the kitchen counter, and it seemed today was the day.

A Soft Sunset
Pairing- Johnny X Dally (The Outsiders)
Word count- 1910 words. Sorry, lol. Might be slow at first but it gets better.
Warnings: Fluff and drinking. Not really detailed about the drinking though.
Note: You can requests your own oneshots. They can be anything from gender-bends to mythical creatures AU's. I accept all requests but you just have to tell me a pair or which character for 'X reader' fics. Tell me a bit about the plot direction you want it to go in! Thank you!!
~~~
Johnny's P.O.V.
Perfectly rounded waves were ruffling the sea. The green and blue water rushed in and receded back into the great big sea. Some people were out in the waves surfing and others were laid on towels tanning.
The gang had their snacks and towels tucked under their arms. I twiddled with the cap of a Pepsi bottle I had. I wasn't nervous or anything, just lost in thought. The entire gang had been crammed in one car for a few hours and we were very excited about visiting a real beach.
The ocean was right there and it was an exciting experience. A hand clapped against my back and I jumped.
"Nothing's gonna get you here, Johnnycakes. You can relax," Soda's gentle voice assured me. I wasn't scared, Soda's hand had just jerked me out of my thoughts too quickly. I nodded anyway. No need to correct him on a nice day.
Soda grinned and walked on ahead to catch up with Steve. Darry was walking in the back and looking around for a spot to group up. We had discussed stuff to do on the beach while in the car, but I doubted if anyone listened much. Pony had been looking out of the window, Dally had gone to sleep, Soda had shotgun with Two-Bit, and Darry had been in the back trying to make sure Steve was paying attention while driving. Steve hadn't been that pleased with Darry but did seem to listen anyway.
Ponyboy fell in step with me as Darry found a nice place to lay the towels. Sure, it was cheesy but we wanted a spot together. It probably wasn't gonna stay that way with all the people on the beach.
Soda nudge Steve and pointed down the beach towards some girls. They talked for a minute about something, they seemed pretty excited about whatever it was. Probably something to do with the girls.
Pony started toward the water and Two-Bit seemed to follow him. We were breaking off into pairs and heading in different directions. I saw an ice-cream cart not too far from where we were and stuck my hand into my pocket. I had some money. Ice-cream wouldn't be so bad on a hot day.
Dally must have noticed what I was thinking and looped his arm over my shoulder and started walking with me. He already had a cigarette between his lips and was taking a drag.
We walking in silence and every now and then Dally's eyes would follow some chick as she walked away.
"You know, we could score some if we just go after the right ones. How's it sound?" Dally looked down at me and raised only one side of his mouth. It sent a really strange feeling though my body.
"Naw. It's a nice day, Dal. Can't we just swim or something?" I asked. I had on a white tank top and shorts, so did the rest of the guys except Dally, but somehow I still felt to hot for the shirt. Ice-cream should help cool me off and there was always an ocean to help, too.
"Alright, come on." Dally pulled me forward and we arrived at the cart and got an ice cream for ourselves, and one for Darry since he didn't seem to be doing anything.
Dally handed Darry a strawberry ice cream and he took it happily. I sat down on my towel and crossed my legs.
Dally walked off towards some girl in a bikini and I was sat with Darry. That is until he left me sitting on a towel. I finished my ice cream cone and got up to go swimming. I could hear Soda and Steve down the beach talking. Pony and Two-Bit were tossing a football while in the water.
Darry had just disappeared and Dally was messing with some blonde a couple towels down. I chuckled and headed for the water.
It wasn't too cold and seemed really clear despite everyone kicking up sand below it. I swam under the water for a few feet before sneaking up behind Pony. He gave a startled gasp and even stumbled forward when I grabbed his ankle underwater.
I laughed and Two-Bit almost doubled over. Pony was blushing deeply and didn't catch the football when it got thrown to him.
"Wow, I really messed up your game play, huh?" I chuckled and ran my hands through my grease-less hair.
I saw Dallas wading into the water laughing his ass off while some girl was flipping him off. It was the blonde he'd been talking to.
At least everyone was happy. That ice-cream was pretty good, so I was happy myself.
The sun was starting to set and the beach was starting to clear. A whole group of teens showed up with coolers of beer and even some vodka, not that I had been over there or anything. Two-Bit had happily came back to our towel pallet and told the news to us. He already had a beer in his hand. He either stole it or they were giving them out.
Pony was staring at the sky and I had gone back in the water, enjoying that there were no assholes trying to start shit here and it was pretty quiet besides the bonfire party.
Couples were starting to wade into the water but they stayed a bit away from me. It was pretty strange seeing people eating each others faces off in the water instead of on the shore like earlier.
Arms wrapped around my waist and I tensed. I looked behind me to see it was Dally. I had been looking at the sunset when he'd interrupted. I could smell the sickly sweet smell on his breath even when he was behind me.
"Hello, Johnnycake," Dally chuckled and smiled at me. He still had his hands on my hips. My bare back was pressed against his bare chest. He was really warm, even in the now chilly water.
"What are you doin' all the way out here? You looked lonely." Dally said. He definitely had more than a buzz, but he wasn't wasted or anything. I turned to look at the sky. The purples, pinks, and oranges mixed in the now deep blue of the sky was being reflected in the water. The sun had only minutes left today. But it was still nice to watch.
"I'm watching the sunset. Look," I nudged my head toward the horizon. Dally moved his eyes to watch. I had relaxed now, but that hot feeling was settling from my head down to my toes. It felt slightly unnatural, but comforting. It was like something was gripping my stomach.
It was a pleasant feeling, but still unnatural feeling. I looked at Dally's cold and icy eyes and I was shocked to see how soft and... golden they looked. It was a strange mixture with his other hardened features. But, slowly they seemed to be softening too.
"It's nice. I didn't think you were into cheesy sunsets and... what?" Dally had noticed me staring and I hadn't thought about how close we were together. I shook my head and tried to watch the sunset again. I didn't expect him to take his hand and softly turn my gaze to him.
"What do you see?" He asked. Where was the bitterness in his voice? The hatred of the world written across his skin? Where was my fear and paranoia? Why did I feel so warm?
"What?" I asked. He still had his index finger under my chin and his right hand on my hip.
"What do see right now? What do you see in me?" Dally would never utter those words. They sounded so strange and somehow so right. My stomach lurched and I was caught in his gaze.
"I see the warmth from the sunset reflected in your eyes. The icy stare is gone." I turned toward him and he placed his hand on my hip again. We were chest to chest and I was staring right at him, yet he never removed his index finger from underneath my chin.
I took my hand and brushed his cheek bones and between his eyebrows. What was I doing? "Your features have softened and you seem... almost soft in a way."
"And?" He quirked his eyebrow. My heartbeat rang in my ears. Why was I saying this to him? What was it about the way he looked with the sunset in front of him? He had golden rays against his skin and it only made him seem more like a god than the demon he tries to be.
I ran my thumb over his bottom lip, pulling it down a little to watch it bounce back to its place. I left my hand on his jaw. "You look like a kid and like I could..."
Dally's face got closer to mine, I could taste the beer on his breath. He looked so different.
"Like you could what?" His eyes roamed across my face, my scar probably, and they settled on my lips. What was he doing?
I leaned in closer, he wasn't much taller than me anymore. I came up to his nose now.
Our lips brushed ever so gently and it sent chills across both of our skin. A shiver shot down my spine like lightning. Dally took in a breath and we molded together.
It was so delicate, like he was holding back. I moved my free hand to behind his head and he moved the hand on my hip to my back. We were as close as we could get. He bit down softly on my lip and I felt like I was going to explode right there.
God, what were we doing?
I traced my thumb over his cheek bone and I felt Dally move his other hand under me. He lifted me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist. God, was this amazing.
"Um, Dally? We can't find Johnny and we gotta go soon so-" The voice stopped. "Oh."
Yeah. Oh, shit.
"Found him." Dally's face was hardened again and the icy blaze behind his eyes was back. How could he change like that so quickly.
Darry scratched the back of his neck before nodding in our direction. "Thanks for the ice-cream."
Darry turned to leave and Dally let me down. I cleared my throat. That was pretty awkward. 'Thanks for the ice-cream'?
Was that kiss a one time thing or did Dally mean something by it. I know I did, but he didn't seem to show any sign of caring.
I felt something in my chest shrivel and I felt so vulnerable in that second. Dally had his back to me and I felt like it was supposed to be a wall. God, did I mess up!
A hand melded with mine and Dally looked back for a second. The sunset had disappeared, but I could still see it in his eyes. He meant something by it, and I was glad.
The Jerry Duncan Show: Chris Christie Interview
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push();
Our intrepid radio talk show host interviews Gov. Chris Christie!
ANNOUNCER
Live from under a rock in your backyard, it’s The Jerry Duncan Show.
JERRY
Good morning listeners nationwide. Is it a good morning? We’ll soon find out. Today on the show my guest is the former Republican candidate for president, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Chris is a real ball buster who tells it like it is. He’s here to talk about his new book I’ve Never Missed a Meal. Welcome, Governor Christie.
Chris Christie by DonkeyHotey, flickr.com.
GOV. CHRIS CHRISTIE
Hello.
JERRY
Just for the record, you ate all the donuts in the green room. I was hoping against hope you’d leave one for me.
CHRISTIE
Too bad. So sad.
JERRY
Okay. Tell me about your book. It’s really an inspiration for every fat person out there who can’t resist food.
CHRISTIE
That’s right. Ever since I was a young boy, I always had something in my mouth. Whether it was a piece of pizza, pie, chocolate bar, ice cream sundae, Big Mac. You name it, I ate it. When a classmate went missing, a doctor had to pump my stomach. Turned out to be a false alarm. But guess what?
JERRY
That’s what.
CHRISTIE
I know I am. But what are you?
JERRY
Oh shut up.
CHRISTIE
Being fat got me to where I am today.
JERRY
Yeah. The Goodyear blimp.
CHRISTIE
No, you idiot. Governor of New Jersey. I think big.
JERRY
You mean bigger. Big is King Kong.
CHRISTIE
Okay wise guy. Hey, is that a tire you’re wearing around your waist?
JERRY
No, I ate Jeff Sessions. Yeah I’m a little overweight. So what!
CHRISTIE
My book has servings that would make Michelle Obama’s head explode. Five bowls of Cocoa Krispies for breakfast with a glass of chocolate milk, two Big Macs piled high with cheese, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and onions for lunch. Not to mention a double portion of fries. And for dinner, a roasted pig Hawaiian style. A large man’s dream.
JERRY
Do you eat the whole pig?
CHRISTIE
Down to the eyeballs my man.
JERRY
Gross. Let’s talk politics. You endorsed Donald Trump for president. I’m surprised after he said such mean things about you.
CHRISTIE
Like?
JERRY
His helicopter would crash if he gave you a ride.
CHRISTIE
That’s not mean. It’s a fact. When I need to get around, my staff ties me to a truck and I float in the air like a balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The reason I like the Donald is because he makes fun of everyone and tells the truth. During the campaign, I really observed how much Marco Rubio resembles Bambi and Ted Cruz sounds like chalk screeching across a blackboard. Trump will bring jobs back to America from China and Mexico. Which means more Chinese and Mexican food for me.
JERRY
That’s disgusting. There are people starving in America.
CHRSTIE
It’s survival of the fattest .
JERRY
Just a minute Governor. Hold that thought.
INTERN
You called boss?
JERRY
(softly) Yeah. Order a medium Margarita pizza for me, but nothing for Christie. I want to watch the dude drool like a dog when I eat in front of him.
INTERN
Got it. Anything for me?
JERRY
Yeah, a kick in the rear. Now get out of here.
CHRISTIE
Jerry, can I say something about my book?
JERRY
Go ahead.
CHRISTIE
All the proceeds go to my Waistbusters Foundation. We help kids exceed their maximum weight.
JERRY
Hey, you shut down the state operated beaches last July in New Jersey. Why?
CHRISTIE
Because I’m an asshole. Look, I wanted my budget passed.
JERRY
So you take your family to the beach while everyone else is stuck in the house roasting to death.
CHRISTIE
There’s an upside.
JERRY
Yeah, whale watchers got their monies worth. Excuse me. This bulletin just came in from the newsroom. (pause) Get this folks. Donald Trump had his wife Melania deported, because she is a mail order bride and didn’t have a visa.
CHRISTIE
Guaranteed she’s got a VISA.
JERRY
Not the charge card you idiot.
CHRISTIE
Just saying.
JERRY
Ahh, here comes my lunch. A nice hot, juicy pizza from Tony’s.
CHRISTIE
What about me? Don’t I get some?
JERRY
You’re going to drool until you drown in your own saliva.
CHRISTIE
(desperate plea) Come on Jerry. I’ll paraglide off the Atlantic, get you Dallas Cowboys tickets, admit to Bridgegate, anything.
JERRY
Good-bye everyone, See you tomorrow. Mmm this pizza is good.
