love that in hocus pocus (1993) dani was just fully gonna adopt thackery binx if he hadn’t died and gotten reunited with his sister. she was like “we’re gonna take care of you, and then my children, and their children, and their childrens children” like she was fully prepared to take in thackery binx forever and i love her for that. Like even if he wasn’t freed he still would’ve had somewhere to go <33

The relationship between Max and Dani in Hocus Pocus is probably the realest older brother/little sister relationship I've ever seen.

The way Dani annoys Max and he gets fed up with her a lot, but when he actually hurts her feelings on Halloween, he apologizes and explains himself and shows that he still loves her. And even though they bully each other they show nothing but concern and care for each other through the whole movie. Dani teases Max about his crush, and calls him a jerk, and then protects him from Winnie, and defends him against Jay and Ice (all be it to no end, but still good intentions). Max gets mad at Dani for pushing Jay and Ice, and for her generally annoying him, but does what he can to keep her safe the whole night.

They clearly love each other and it's SUCH a great dynamic between them that's almost a foil to how Winnie treats her own sisters through the movie.

Their sibling relationship is so increadibly dear to me

here’s more drawing ideas ive done!

for more information, hocus pocus 2 redraft is a rewrite off of 2022’s sequel of hocus pocus which i didn’t like very much as a big fan of the original. so i ultimately decide to make my own rewrite of the script (tried to format it like it lol) there’s gonna be major changes compared to the original script. i currently did six acts of this from wattpad! act seven might be published somewhere this summer, not sure if i want to published it by late june or early july. either way, you can read it down here by this link:
