Sticktober Day 3: Drama

It was kind of dramatic, right?

Green sat on the ground, feeling the soft grass under his hands. The day was supposed to go fine, even great. The Color Gang went to the OuterNet to hang out with Purple.

And it was fine.

Until Green realized he forgot his headphones.

On any other time, he would just returned home and grab them. But now it wasn't very possible. To get back he needs to go through the portal in MT's house, and Green didn't even remember the road back. Besides, city was too loud to walk around alone.

While being loud himself, he was surprisingly sensitive to the noise. And it's pretty much understatement. Green couldn't stand a day without headphones. And being out in still unfamiliar place only added to the stress.

It was okay for the first hour or two. But while standing in the queue in the shop, getting snacks for everyone (with Blue muttering something about homemade food being better), Green reached to take out his headphones.

Only to realize they weren't on his neck. And not in the bag.

For a second he just stood there, dumbfounded. He forgot them? He forgot them? It was even hilarious, wasn't it?

Green quickly left the queue, saying that he'll wait in the park in front of the shop. The place felt smaller, the chest felt tight. There was no safe feelings of the headphones on he head, no music to distract him.

The car beeped somewhere in the distance, making Green flinch and gasp in surprise.

Not wasting much time, he went further in the park, settling under some tree. A few deep breath helped just slightly, but he still longed the feeling of the weight on his head. Green could even laugh at himself for how much he was depending on his headphones.

Trying to block out everything around, Green got really startled when someone sat next to him. He gasped, finding Orange leaning back against the tree.

"Are you okay?" They asked, noticing the distressed expression, which they rarely saw on Green.

"Yeah, don't worry, just forgot my headphones." Green shrugged, making these words sound as nonchalant as he could.

"I take as it's not exactly fine. You never go anywhere without them." Orange sighed, placing their hand on Green's shoulder, "How did you even forgot them?"

"Took them off to fix my hair, left on the table." Green admitted, feeling stupid for leaving his most important thing like that. He took another deep breath, dropping his head on Orange's shoulder. Younger's hand immediately wrapped around his shoulders, giving a reassuring squeeze. "Where are the others?"

"Still in the shop, I just thought it would be good idea to check on you."

"Thank you..."

With Orange here, he wasn't that overwhelmed now...
