I've been wanting to draw this for a long time, the idea has been stuck on my mind for a while, but i finally did it, i think it looks better than i expected.

This is inspired in one of my favorite fics, even though it hasn't been updated in like two years lmao, but i really like that fic ⭐, i might reread it again ngl.

Some rough sketches of Darkwarrior. I beefed him up tho cuz I am rotted.

The civilian costume is based off of his demolition duck and was an idea from @boo-blu and @purpleterror91 . All that idea credit to them for that.

Kindof just spitballing here. Don't know how I'd actually implement this in my canon but been wondering about how a DT17 Darkwarrior Duck would go. (Maybe a AU? I actually have a few of those in mind that I've been meaning to draw/ talk about.)

Since Launchpad would be dead Morgana and Loopey would sort of taken the role he did in the original episode. I don't know if there'd be time travel shenanigans like in the original or just a shorter time skip. And since I feel it better as a AU I don't think there'd be a "return to normal".

The origianl Darkwarrior became a dictator of St. Canard that I'd describe as a mix of Robot Santa meets The Punisher (with some Darwin Watterson thrown in there) but I think this time around he'd be a rouge vigilante with a skewed sense of justice but like the original, would take punishments wayy too far.

Rambles

Idea based off something I wrote probably like two years back, mainly self indulgent again

I like to think sunrise was his least favourite time of day, because it meant his day ended, and additionally, highlighted his loneliness. While working through the night and taking down villains, he kept himself busy, but once the sun came up-so did everyone else.

In a way it's like the world had left him behind, while everyone progressed and grew, he stayed right where he was.

I like to imagine that on some mornings where he was held up, he'd see kids getting up for school and families saying goodbye to one another and he'd feel something deep down, something he was missing. Of course he never acknowledged it, it's better to keep things bottled up, but it's there. So he avoided the bright blue skies of the day, and avoided those reminders.
