so i need to sleep because i'm ancient™ but here is a quick unedited summary that i won't even proofread ! whatever i write is what stays here, until i feel motivated enough to put together a formal biography. picture this: a very wealthy, self-serving and influential family produces a self-sacrificing, gentle, benevolent child. spent a lot of his youth in conflict with his family because tbh he can be annoying with how much he just advocates about things. spent a lot of his childhood in boarding schools but whenever he was home with his family, he made them well aware that he opposed their values. regardless, he loves them dearly and would go to great lengths for them. on the flip side, if they ever pissed him off, his way of getting back at his parents or "talking back" would be to just donate their money to charity, especially pro - environment groups. when he left for university in his freshman year, kaan yoinked thousands of their moneys and said pce out girl scout, and then gave that money to organizations that are focused on aiding communities that were directly affected by toxic corporations, such as those his parents' company had direct shares or partnerships with. now he studies criminology and wants to help the people that need it most, especially those who experience barriers in day - to - day life. some more fun facts ? kaan loves to bake. strudels, scones, even apple pandowdy ! someday he hopes to make the PERFECT creme brulee ! he's the type of person that will show up to events with a tupperware container of fresh baked goods because he's a giver. he has pun aprons and oven mitts that he wears when he bakes, more than he should probably admit. overall, he's pretty quiet and sweet. wants to be loved and in love, yearns for it even. kaan will look at elderly couples and sigh longingly. he also frequently just giggles in the background. somehow simultaneously quiet and chaotic. can mop the floors with dumb people but would also never hurt a fly. at first glance he can present as intimidating. very stern expression and constantly dressed to the t's. an angel sweetie at the flip of the switch. i will make a better biography one day but i need to sleep so bad i'm fighting it, so with these final few words, i bid you adieu *gentleman tips fedora* m'lady.

History

Ethan had always been the golden boy. Born to a renowned inventor and toy maker (think the likes of the Bop It or Furby) the apple didn’t fall far from the tree. From a young age Ethan showed signs of wanting to be just as inventive as his father and his creative spark was nurtured as soon as he started crafting his first creations out of cardboard and tape. The older he got the more tools became at his disposal and while Ethan never ended up reinventing the wheel, he felt he got damn close. He watched his father’s success and knew one day he’d follow in his father’s footsteps and be a great inventor.  Coming from money and his father’s impressive line of work it was no surprise that Ethan made friends easily growing up. Who wouldn’t want to be friends with the kid who practically gave out toys just for hanging out? His house was always deemed the cool hangout spot for his extensive toy collection and movie theater in the basement. The older Ethan got his house soon transformed into the party house whenever his parents were away on vacation. While Ethan wasn’t the type of guy you’d go to if you had a problem, he could easily be depended on for having a good time and to cheer you up if you were in a bad mood. He was always carefree and reckless and with parents who hardly told him no his impulses only flourished.  Ethan always did well in school despite his party boy nature. Learning came easily to him but that didn’t mean he went off to university directly after high school much to his parents' chagrin. Instead Ethan took off several years to travel the world and see what it had to offer. He visited over ten countries during his travels and made hundreds of new friends in the process but when he returned to the states his parents had an ultimatum for him. If he wanted to continue being supported he had to go off to college and get a degree. While the pressure was only light from his parents he took it as a sign to go to university as far away from them as possible as an act of rebellion. Money wasn’t an issue for Ethan but still he applied for various engineering scholarships. Feeling like he was in a time crunch and ultimately from his own laziness he ended up using one of his father’s inventions to win the scholarship he used to get into Daskalos University. He’d liked Greece from his time traveling and thought that it was as good a place to go to university as any.

He lives in his own dorm without a roommate. He figured having a roommate could wind up being a buzzkill and he wanted the privacy to be able to bring home whomever he wanted whenever he wants. 

His favorite color is red and is almost always wearing it on his person in the form of red converse. 

Before he graduates college he hopes to come up with the next greatest drinking game to rival beer pong. So far all his ideas for games are too elaborate for drunk people to understand.

He was almost kicked out of the dionysia for being late. He shows up just in the nick of time more often than not.

gwyneira eunha jeon is born on christmas eve in swansea, wales. her father is the ceo of jeon industries, a renowned south korean biomedical and pharmaceutical company whilst her mother, jeon ceri, is a former prima ballerina and the artistic director for the national ballet in wales.

eira is born with underlying heart issues as a result of being premature, her birth leaving both her and her mother in a critical state. just as eira is scheduled to undergo invasive heart surgery, she seems to be miraculously cured in the early mornings of christmas day. such joy and relief are short lived as not long after, eira's mother passes away due to complications from the birth.

as a result of the circumstances of her birth her family, as she grows up, is incredibly protective of her. she is handed the world on a silver platter, never needing nor wanting for anything a day in her life. whilst her father's business is involved in some shady and rather unethical practices within the medical world, hidden well by their mass fortunes, eira is kept strictly out of it and sheltered from such harsh realities. her two older brothers assume the helm of her father's heirs, leaving eira to fall into the one place left for her — her mother's element.

she had a natural talent for ballet that was evident from youth, having been placed into ballet lessons at a young age. at four years old, when the family of three relocated to south korea, eira begins to find her place in the world of dance. what starts off as a hobby evidently reveals that eira could never escape her mother's legacy, not that she wants to. the stage is predestined for her, as her prodigious talent seems to speak for itself. as soon as she had been able to walk she had only wanted to dance and before she'd ever even spoken a word, her language had been that of ballet.

she advances quickly in her studies of the ballet world with the ease of someone both massively talented but also well connected. it is in highschool when she her love for dance becomes more deeply ingrained into her soul and her obsession with ballet takes root. in a world she can't control, it is the precision and demanded perfection of her art that she seems to be the ruler of on her own. thus, dance becomes the very essence of her life and she begins to lose sleep over it. her relationships and friendship crumble under the weight of addiction to her soaring career.

until she loses control. not even eighteen and she'd already lost that sense of power over dance that she once adored. she had allowed this dedication to her craft to consume her. but she doesn’t stop, doesn’t really know how to and so she continues to spiral deeper into the void. having been granted admission into the korean national ballet in her highschool days, rising from the ranks of the corps de ballet to grand soloist within her first few years, she is pushed to her limit in order to be perfect for the stage yet she begins to struggle with her own mental and physical health. ballet being her sole driving force was sucking the life out of her and the compulsive need to dance consumes her days and then her nights until it culminates in stifling paranoia, insomnia and hallucinations from her lack of sleep. she became detached from both reality and the people around her entirely. 

in an attempt to regain control, she turns to the one thing her family warded her away from. her connections to biomedical field meant obtaining the necessary prescriptions for her anxiety medication and tranquilisers were simple. the allowed her to forget her struggles if only for a small amount of time and allow her to continue shining on the stage as she had always done. she traded all that was left of her self-control and sanity for slivers of happiness but it soon becomes more of an addiction than a mere escape.

during the last act of her swan lake performance with the korean national ballet, as she in on the verge of a promotion to the companies most elite title, her substance abuse almost causes a crippling scandal. she completes her show brilliantly, one that would go down in history as possibly her greatest performance but when the curtain draws, eira loses consciousness and is rushed to the hospital. after three days comotose, she awakens to an ultimatum from the company; six months of rehabilitation and psychotherapy and then she is to be sent to her mother's alma mater to complete an accelerated dance degree, allowing herself to recuperate. upon completely the degree in the minimum of two and half a years, she will be allowed to rejoin the company and take her place as a prima ballerina and principal dancer. all knowledge of her scandal is discretely brushed under the rug with the help of her family's money and connections.

after completely her required rehab, she begins at daskalos university in the 2023-2024 school year, majoring in dance. she is inducted soon after she settles in under the tutelage of professor avila, welcomed into the dionysia as their cassandra.

The Galiardos are not close. The typical emotional distance of the ultra wealthy. Cosmo's attention seeking and self-absorption come from the same childhood well, though he'd never acknowledge it.

Cosmo has always skated by doing the bare minimum in his private schools, charming classmates into letting him cheat or having them help him write papers

When it came time to apply for colleges though, his charms couldn't help him. He was rejected from every prestigious acting program in the United States. Not wanting the scandal of a Galiardo attending a sub par school (or no school at all), his mother called in a favor with her brother, a professor at Daskalos

What should have been a wake up call simply wasn't for Cosmo and he's continued to skate by at Daskalos as well. This time he's upped the ante from charming classmates to paying them. The only reason he keeps it a secret is because he knows it will get him in trouble and jeapordize his already precarious spot. He doesn't feel any guilt for it.

POTENTIAL PLOTS

the 'helper': the most obvious plot to begin with. cosmo is a drama student so he has far less traditional papers and tests than many of his peers, but when they do come up he flat out refuses to do them/do them without significant 'help' (read: cheating). the person he's paying could certainly be a member of the dionysia (i imagine he also needs some 'assistance' with avila's extra work) or simply a fellow student.

the exes: cosmo is a near pathological flirt. he's surely made his way around campus a time or two, if you catch my drift. mostly he's content with one night stands and brief flings but i could see him at least trying to be in a serious relationship once or twice. he was very bad at it, though. i'd love to have some "you were my first real love and you didn't even care about me" or "we were mutually bad for each other and it went out in a bang" or anything else under the sun!

the bestie: cosmo has lots of 'friends', or at least he has lots of people that he surrounds himself with. he's not a very open person, doesn't really talk about his emotions or anything like that, but this would be the person he's gotten the closest to. i'd imagine them as another well-known face on campus, someone cosmo goes out with a bunch.

the influencee: cosmo is not the best influence and i'd love to see him take someone a little more shy or reserved under his wing and help them 'blossom' in his own quite unhealthy way.

the bad influence: cosmo isn't a bad guy. he's also not a very good guy, either. he's primarily self-serving and will put himself and his interests before all else. this person could see that and push him even further. cosmo isn't gullible per say but he could be convinced by the right pressures. also kind of obsessed with the idea of cosmo in a sort of Evil Power Couple on campus but that's just additional.
