With the DLC I have rooted around a little and ripped some of the more interesting textures, including some of the portraits we see of characters we love :)

The 'new' classification system with Dan's 'ask chat' ability is fascinating to me. I dug some up in-game, but since it takes soooo long, I ended up just going into the files and digging them up manually (enemyType: string in the Enemies.json file). There's some interesting thought process going on here.

I won't list them ALL because I do have to go to work. A bunch of them are pretty obvious; a lot of characters you'd guess are classified as "Cursed" are, in fact, Cursed.

A few interesting things have stood out to me so far:

Cursed doesn't apply to everyone who looked outside, or got mutated; even Joel and Hellen are classified as "Human", as well as most of Joel's family (except Baby Teeth, who is "Cursed"). Leigh, as "Grinning Woman/Beast", is fully classified as "Cursed".

Even "Stressed Out" (IE William, the wounded door encounter after his lower half turns into a monster) is classed "Human"

Morton is classed as "Insect" right out the gate, not Cursed. This means 'Chat' figured it out even before Sam did, which is very funny to me.

Rat King is "Cursed" (Frankie did straight up say on stream that Rat King is Fabrice; Frederick's friend who saw his painting), while Rat Freak, and most of the 'body part' rats are classed as "Human". Weirdly, Rat Hole is "Cursed" despite describing its situation as transforming through having been bitten a lot.

"Witness" appears to apply to those very basic beginning game enemies, but the knife neighbor and Vincent are still "Human". Eternal Eye is "Cursed" so perhaps it's a "level of transformation" thing. However, Mutt is also classed as a Witness.

The only other character specifically classed as "Witness"? Jasper.

("Chorus of One", "Unholy Duet", "Discordant Triune", and "Chaos Quartet" are Cursed, while Exalted Four is "Ascended"... XIN-AMON is also "Ascended")

SPEAKING OF ASCENDED there are a few others with this class: Spore Mother, Faceless Fred (!), Furnace, and some unimplemented bosses I won't speak of here but have deliciously fascinating names.

Branching off of Spore Mother, "Fungus" is obviously it's own class and which characters are fungus should be obvious, but weirdly enough Laughing Mold is considered "Cursed" instead.

Lokjaw is a "Mutant" which also applies to Tumorhead, EyeCluster, any of the Worm Parts associated with Rafta-infested Nestor, the 'remade' creeps in Edwin's dark apartment and... weirdly enough, the first couple enemies in the garage (the cone and the tires). That's it. Very small clade.

"Painting" should be obvious, but once again it is interesting that Faceless Fred is "Ascended" but becomes a "Painting" once his face is returned. "Cowboy Hat" is "Human" but I am presuming this is when you attack it while it's on Sam's head, so technically you're attacking Sam. "Not a Cowboy Hat" is still a Painting.

Another obscure one is "Passenger" which only applies to things off the bus, but not EVERYTHING off the bus (Crawing Hand is Cursed). Things in Henderson's apartment are "Conscripts". Trench Digger is Cursed.

"Pipe Man" is it's own class for the sewer (includes the 'corpses'), but the Boiler Beast is "Cursed".

"Frostbitten" is its own class, which applies to all the frozen enemies including Enforcer in the basement, but NOT to PomPom, who is Cursed.

"Taxidermy" is its own class, which applies to all the enemies in that apartment except Suture Wire, which is Cursed.

It does seem like a single 'Cursed' surrounded by a bunch of hyper-specific enemies in a special area indicates an infection that spread, with the 'Cursed' being the Patient Zero for that area, but not always.

It's worth noting that nothing in the plant apartment has an enemyType: and is just listed as a lowercase "monster" in-game (which might just mean the devs forgot)

The "???" shadow enemies have the class "Shade" until you get to the BIGGEST ones (that don't have words, only variations of "???? ?? ?? ?"), where they become classified as Cursed.

And to make matters EVEN MORE CONFUSING, "Shadow" (IE, the white mask) is classed as "????"

DO take into consideration the only way one would canonically find these in game is through Dan's "Chat" so take that as you will.

Soooo with Revenant's story progression over, there's a lot of datamined dialogue that seemingly never made it into the game proper, only the files. A lot of this dialogue served to flesh out the story somewhat, and because it never played we ended up missing a lot of little bits that could have helped ease the jank. This is my attempt to stitch together lines of dialogue into what I think would be an approximation of the intended dialogue.

DISCLAIMER: This audio comes from a dump of all datamined audio files from this Episode. I did not datamine the game myself. Furthermore, I do not have access to the .txt files to confirm if this is the correct order of audio, so this is, in no way, a 100% faithful reconstruction of the dialogue. I just stitched lines together into something that somewhat flows. I am also not an audio enginer or competent editor.

Honestly that stone coldness is a big part of his personality. He's not great at expressing himself and he's very to the point. But as his affinity goes up, he's more. . .concerned for you. And he wants you around more, trusting himself to have you around more.

I posted all of them again this time! A lot of his have similar energy because of his stiffness, so I feel like being able to see them all helps to idk see the gradual change i think.

he doesn't want you to fall into a cycle of self-loathing or of trying to be anyone but yourself. Maybe what others do feels more impressive to you, but you aren't them and you can't compare yourself to them. Even if you're 'weak' in one way or another, you have your own worth in other ways. So be proud of yourself, instead of trying to get the pride of somebody else. I think he really cares about your mental wellbeing and he doesn't want you to lose yourself. Because he's lost himself--and he doesn't want that for you. Don't wallow in self-pity, don't agonize over the past. Be proud of how far you've come and walk your own path.

Imagine falling asleep in his car and he has to figure out. . .does he wake you up, does he carry you somewhere. . .he could bring you back to your place but he doesn't know how to get there so. . .you wake up in his room, in his bed. . .does he have the understanding that "you probably shouldn't sleep in the same bed as somebody without them okaying it first" and he sets up his tent and sleeps in it or uses his sleeping bag or sleeps somewhere else in the dorm or maybe in his car. . .frankly even if he doesn't he'd be afraid of hurting you in his sleep. There's no way he'd sleep in the same bed as you. Maybe lie awake in there with you or something. But he'd be too scared of what harm he could cause to fall asleep.

HE SMILES WHEN HE SAYS THIS. 99% of his lines have his usual expression, but this one he really smiles and that's how you know how much he appreciates you. I feel like he kind of gave up on himself--he's a big, dangerous brute, he's not someone worth getting close to, it's dangerous to even want to. . .but you make him feel like maybe he has a chance again. You make him look in the mirror and see someone he hasn't seen in a long time, and he realizes that person is himself and he would have never seen the version of him who isn't dirtied with blood again without you.

And it's a very embarrassing moment for everyone involved. pc absolutely wears them when alan asks them out for things tho. waiting for the day alan finds out they're wearing it.

You know what I love? Flavour text on my items!

So here's some BG3 flavour text I found for Aylin's, Isobel's, and Ketheric's items, many of which are not lootable in-game - and some of which the characters themselves aren't seen wearing. I've had this lying around for a while, but now the toolset has given me a simple way to pluck out some neat "loot" visuals to go with the words. I'm going to list their names as they appear in the files, as well as include the non-unique descriptions some of them have (when they simply inherited from the template of another item of an appropriate type).

Aylin

Nightsong's Armour

Nightsong's armour is evocative of her personality - prickly, hardy, and about as agreeable as a clenched fist.

Nightsong Helmet

The Dame's resentment and anger toward Ketheric cannot be overstated. Still, her dreams rove sweeter corners, beyond the cruel hardwood floors of vengeance, the rooms of pain and discipline. Hers is a complex house, a house of the heart.

Nightsong Boots

Scratched in places, scorched in others, and worn thin at the heel, these boots bear the indelible marks of experience. (Metallic Boots default text)

Nightsong Gloves

Made from steel hammered thin, these gauntlets are a fine investment for any warrior. (Metallic Gloves default text)

Isobel

Moon Devotion Robe

A memory from her childhood: a warm bed. Through the cracked window, she could see the moonlight cupping the plums in the tree as if in silver hands. The name of the goddess Selûne came to her, and never left.

Isobel's Boots

Isobel's boots are haphazardly repaired, and have a humble snug fit for the wearer, snug as strong faith in the chest of a religious devotee.

Jhannyl's Gloves

(Left image is Isobel's actual visible gloves which don't have a "loot" equivalent, right is the visual for the ones that she actually has in her inventory)

So, about that content disparity between BG3 companions...

Usually I don't do any programming outside of work but I was really curious how the content between all the companions is actually distributed and also how it changed with patches.

So I put together a little code and let it run through the parsed dialog files for Patch 1 and now the latest Patch 6, counting everytime a character gets a line of dialog.

I subtracted the numbers of [TagGreeting] and [TagAnswer] (manually, after the overall count...because I didn't wanna program it...shhh) since they just seem to be links to actual lines, but not lines themselves.

Keep in mind: 1. I don't know if there might be other tags that don't contain dialog, I only subtracted the two I mentioned, 2. IMPOSSIBLE lines that might not be accessible in game get counted, 3. this says nothing about the length of the lines (they could be one word or a couple of sentences as seen in the screenshot above. They all get counted as one), 4. Origin specific lines don't get counted unless they're actually said by the character (Player Karlach seems to talk to herself as 'Karlach:' for example, that gets counted).

The most suprising is that apparently Wyll got the most lines added since Patch 1!? If that is true it still did absolutely nothing to his abysmal numbers.

Buuuut I have the sneaking suspicion this might just be weird data, especially 'cause he's such an outlier here (I also checked Ulder's dialog for example, and he got 1 more overall line count from patch 1 to 6 but his [TagAnswer] count decreased from 20 to 2 making his result go up from 288 to 307. Could be the same with Wyll, maybe some different formatting that screws with the count.)

its pretty clearly from sims 2, although i couldnt find the original sims 2 file it must have been from (as i dont have sims 2 to dig through its assets, and i couldnt find any other downloads of the assets)

you can see a similar button in here, which also has the elder icon (source is the sims wiki)

though it does seem to look somewhat different, the one in the sims 2 screenshot is slouching slightly more. it might be because of the image quality though

im also not sure where this button was used in sims 2, i cant find it in the create a sim screenshots on this wiki page

its worth noting that the general ui style in sims 2 definitely influenced spore

Maybe I said it already, but editing the wiki clearly made me realise how easy it is to spread misinformation. May it either be an assumption or being unable to play the game and relying on videos for information. Nothing wrong with videos, as some certain details for game version 1.0 are only available through a few videos by MKIceandFire and Secret Mode. Tho I noticed my awareness for a game is limited, if I didn't play it.

Edited Anderson and tried to check if I can include a picture of his shift from the rig schedule. But I realised his name never appeared on any schedule. So why was it mentioned on his wiki page? Mysteries, so I removed that info and added the info from darts tournament and jukebox friday.

Also also, another thing I keep forgetting to show. So, 1.4 added the silver screen but I really wanted to know if anything changed ingame. Some stuff like the Sunil/Alex name bug are still there. (Together with Dalgleish not speaking anymore, or Raffs not being in the credits?)
