just some thoughts on how the objects would help you, idk if you can call this a drabble or..

putting under break to not trigger anyone

you go from talking with everyone, helping endlessly, forming friendships and relationships…to slowly withdrawing from everyone.

it starts small. shorter conversations, less laughter, a slight drag to your step.

it develops into blank stares mid conversation, a later start to your mornings…refusal of intimacy because you’re not in the mood or don’t have the energy.

you stop giving good advice, stop being so ready to help, stop kissing your partners.

and then, you just stop putting on the dateviators and sink into your bed until you physically have to get up relieve yourself or eat. even then you wait until the very last second.

sometimes it looks like you’re thinking about putting on Skylar, you get as close as pulling her out of the drawer and laying in bed with her for hours before finally just giving up and putting her back in your night stand.

the house would be absolutely distraught. sure they’ve seen you have depressive episodes before, but never when you actually knew they existed and they had genuine relationships with you.

they don’t take it personal because they know you can’t help it, but damn do they wish they could help you more but without the dateviators, there’s little to nothing they can do.

those who have the power to do something, use it to force you to take care of yourself. if you won’t talk to them, fine. but they’ll be damned if they let you just try to rot away.

Stefan and Freddy who make meals for you and have Phoenicia lock your screen until you come to the kitchen. they celebrate if you manage to take even a few bites.

Betty and Mateo, who can’t do anything but comfort you and cuddle you as you bed rot

Teddy who is used to his place in your arms and the tears that soak his fabric.

Curt and Rod who open up your curtains at a reasonable hour, because they want you to get sunlight but they still want to respect your autonomy.

Wyndolyn opens to get you some fresh air. if you close her or the boys, they just open again. they always win because you just don’t have the energy to fight with them.

Dunk who rolls across the hallway into your room as every type of sports ball you have, and teams up with the Hanks to put on a little show for you. it always gets a little smile out of you and that’s all they want.

Eddie and Volt who will refuse to charge your devices after multiple days of doomscrolling to force you over to the breaker box to fix it. the switches refuse to move until you take a break

Bathsheba and River who overhear your meltdown afterwards and run you a hot bath to relax. Barry adds bubbles and perfectly lines up your products to make bathing as easy as possible.

all the objects work together to do what they can to keep you on a decently regular schedule until you’re through the episode or at least feeling better enough to put the dateviators back on.

everyone is SO excited to see you but try not to overwhelm you the first few days. they make sure you don’t feel guilty for not talking to them and just focus on getting back to where they were with you.

Regressor Rebel headcanons!

TWs: mentions of Rebel's past but nothing is explicitly stated, crying, fear and overall angst but there's fluff

💛-Usually regresses when their memories of being on the streets become too much to handle

💛-At first Rebel’s Regression was just them wearing an oversized t-shirt and watching a cartoon on Mac.

💛-Mac kept them company when they regressed but Rebel became too uncomfortable at some point because Mac just wasn't talking to them the correct way!!!  

💛-By that I mean Mac talks to Rebel like an adult, with adult topics and such because they don't know that Rebel is regressed.

💛-Rebel regresses because they want back their childhood innocence.

💛-Mac assumed that Rebel just doesn't like someone talking to them when they're watching cartoons, so they just sit beside them silently.

💛-After some research on Mac’s end they discovered that Rebel is an age regressor and spoke to them about it, Rebel asked them to keep it a secret.

💛-Someone that Rebel did not keep this a secret from was Dorian, Rebel needed someone to protect them when they were a duckling, and Dorian is the protector of the house, naturally Rebel's vulgar and aggressive mask falls, so Dorian is their caregiver.

💛-On particularly bad nights full of scary thoughts Rebel asks (orders) Dorian to come protect them (cuddle)

💛-Rebel sits on the ground next to wherever Dorian is standing, just to complain about being bored yet not getting up and doing something.

💛-Bathsheba is Rebel's girlfriend and one of the few people they feel safe regressing with because Bathsheba reminds Rebel of their childhood.

💛-Rebel is bad at communicating their wants and needs so they appear to be a “bad kid”

💛-Bathsheba understands that Rebel has a hard time communicating therefore she's very patient with them.

💛-Rebel is just trying to protect themself. Logically they know that no one there will hurt them but when they revert to their childhood self that faced the world on their own, they lose themself to fear. 

💛-Rebel is terrified of their caregivers giving up on them and leaving them so give them a few minutes after lashing out and they'll come crying and apologizing.

💛-They’re always forgiven of course, their caregivers are understanding :)

💛-They draw their caregivers pictures with crayons as an apology.

💛-HATES being alone, they WILL throw a fit

💛-Amir is their babysitter because he's also Johnny's caregiver, Rebel assumed that he hated them at first and he was just doing this for sheba or Dorian.

💛-But when Amir kept complementing Rebel and being the extremely affectionate mirror he is, Rebel figured that Amir didn't hate them.

💛-Rebel can't take compliments, they blush and pout and hide their face behind their wings.

💛-“Yeah, whatever…” Translation: Thank you.

💛-The Teddy bear Rebel has is from Teddy! Rebel found it laying around one time and picked it up, when Teddy found them playing with it he insisted that they keep it. (and Rebel may have threatened him to keep him from telling anyone about it..)

💛-They named the teddy bear “Punk”

💛-Loves being carried!!! so much!!! They're pretty light considering the materials they're made of, Dorian carries them around and they're the happiest ducky ever.

💛-He’d carry them on his hip or bridal style, depending on what he's doing

💛-piggy back rides are a must too!!

💛-Rebel naps on Mac’s lap while they're working on their computer (on themself..?? on another computer?? on the floating screens??)

💛-Their teeth are SHARP, they need really tough teethers

💛-Play dates with Barry! they play nice I swear

💛-Middle regressor Jean loo watches over them sometimes too, he's like their older brother and gets them into trouble

Date Everything x Reader

You are sick

Bathsheba- There's not much she can do, but she's always there to get you a bath ready if you're achy or cold. Also, sitting in water can help your body not feel like it's heavier than a boulder, at least for a bit.

Farya- While she still wants you to get well as much or more as everyone else, she's also the least panicked about. She hates that you're miserable, but she also knows it's most likely just a cold and you'll be fine in a few days. Make sure you're still eating, drinking plenty of fluids, and take what meds you need to help. She'll be there to help with whatever you need.

Tony- Is the king of home remedies and wives' tales. Doesn't matter if they work or not; he just sort of mixes and matches things. You need to drink lemon soda. Doesn't matter if your stomach isn't upset. He heard that you're supposed to drink clear soda when you're sick, so you need to do it. If you have a fever, you eat a popsicle. At first he's got the basic, frozen, sugar water, but when he finds it up about the ones that are actually frozen fruit, he gets those so it's a bit healthier. Will be a bit pushy with things, but it comes from a good place.

Mitchell- He's is something of a germaphobe. Wants to help you feel better, but does so from a distance. His wheelhouse is food, so he brings you things (mostly soup), that he and Stefan teamed up on. When he brings it up to you, he has a mask on, which is certainly understandable. He also has gloves on, which could be a good precaution if not a bit overboard. He also has on goggles, just in case he can catch germs in his eyes, and then takes a shower and immediately washes his clothes after he's in the same room as you. Keep in mind, this is literally him going, "Hi, here's your food. Hope you feel better." Then leaves. He will still text you though so he can actually talk to you.

Cam- Is not a germaphobe. In fact, he's not complaining about you being sick at all. He's not exactly happy about it, and does want you to feel better. But... do you know how much trash heads his way when you're sick? Pill wrappers, an almost endless supply of tissues, maybe even some cleaner bottles depending on how much you have to use after you're a bit more active. The possibilities are boundless.

Dirk/Clarence- He doesn't want you to feel like you're alone. Will sit with you, sleep next to you, just about anything you might need. Will tell you not to worry if you start to fuss about him getting sick. His version of this is falling asleep like Clarence and then waking up like Dirk. Even if that does happen, he just goes, "Too late to do anything about it now," and goes back to sleep.

Betty- Does her best to be sure that you are resting. One of the quickest ways to get sick is having poor sleep, and one of the quickest ways to get well is letting your body rest. Will be stern, but gentle in insisting that you don't push yourself. She doesn't get too bossy, but will drag you back to lie down if she thinks you need to.

Doug- He is good at staying by your side the entire time. Of course, it's spent telling you things like, "I know it seems like a pretty bad cold, but it's probably just the first example of consumption see in modern times," or, "We should look up your symptoms again to see what else comes up," or even, "Does your throat feel like it's made out of a sponge? Ya, know, like, one of those cheap ones you get for doing dishes?”
