Reminiscing about our big Euro road trip from last December to see a load of amazing shows in Brussels & Germany. Finally made it down to the @yardlifegallery and it’s current show ‘Creative Resilience’ featuring a host talented artists including @cannibalcubs and @aida_wilde Organiser @mariannevosloo was a super star and showed us around the show and gave us a tour of some of this years @yardworksglasgow pieces too 👀 6 hours of travel for 4 hours of art but well worth it! Todays throwback features the penultimate part of Euro trip last summer with a visit to Paris to see The Arc de Triomphe, Wrapped by @christojeanneclaude ! A truly stunning piece of public art and an intervention on an unprecedented scale. The public only had 2 weeks to catch this once in a lifetime artwork, also one of the last projects from Christo before his passing which was the culmination of decades of planning. I’m glad @daveedwardson roped me into joining him and @purshone for the trip.
