David O'List (13 December 1948) is an English rock guitarist, singer and trumpeter.

He has played with The Attack, The Nice, Roxy Music (before being replaced by Phil Manzanera), and Jet (replaced by Ian Macleod). He also briefly deputized in Jethro Tull and Pink Floyd.

One musician so many members of Brand X worked with was Bryan Ferry. Actually, I ask myself why they never called him to sing for them, but I assume his voice wouldn't mesh with their soundscapes. However, their playing fit his sonic valley completely. For instance, J. Peter Robinson, the keyboardist for Brand X, equips himself well for his patented style on Another Time, Another Place, which we already mentioned. Then again, the album does take a hint from the jazz discs of the past, since the entire LP is a collection of covers, which is why the presence of many jazz fusion musicians on the platter doesn't feel out of place, because Bryan Ferry always seemed like the type of guy who would rather be a band leader than a frontman.
