1st & 2nd gif: sisko is standing inside his office, he talks to himself ““establish a dialogue.” what the hell does she think i've been trying to do?” kira comes into sisko’s office, she calls out to him, “commander.” but sisko picks up once more from where he stopped with his rhetorical question, “just because a group of people belong to the federation,”

3rd gif: the camera cuts to kira. sisko is still talking, “that does not mean that they are saints.” kira interrupts sisko, “excuse me.” but sisko asks her instead “do you know what the trouble is?” kira shakes her head before replying, “no.”

4th & 5th gif: the camera cuts back to sisko, who walks from behind his office to stand in front of kira. “the trouble is earth.” sisko starts to reply, and kira interjects with a “really?”, sisko continues, “on earth, there is no poverty, no crime, no war. you look out the window of starfleet headquarters and you see paradise. well, it's easy to be a saint”

6th gif: the camera cuts to a close of kira, she is listening to sisko, “in paradise, but the maquis do not live in paradise.”

7th, 8th, 9th, & 10th gif: the camera cuts to show sisko pacing back and forth, before stopping in front of kira. he is clearly frustrated and agitated by starfleet’s response to the situation “out there, in the demilitarized zone, all the problems haven't been solved yet. out there, there are no saints, just people -- angry, scared, determined people who are going to do whatever it takes to survive, whether it meets with the federation's approval or not.” /end id]

[ID: 11 gifs from season 3, episode 22 “explorers” from the tv series “star trek: deep space nine”, the gifs show miles o'brien and julian bashir inside o'brien's personal quarters. they are both drunk. julian is seated on the couch, and miles is on a chair behind the couch.

1st gif: "unless she really ignored you because she can't stand you." miles tells julian and then keeps laughing to himself.

2nd gif: miles is still laughing while julian says, "isn't there some explanation in between?"

3rd gif: miles stops laughing and sits up, he tells julian, "well... you're not an in-between kind of guy." and julian asks him, "what do you mean?"

4th gif: "well, people either love you or hate you." miles tells him matter of fact, he is holding a snack with his fingers. julian has turned to face miles, "really?"

5th gif: "i mean, i hated you when we first met." miles tells julian, pointing towards himself and chewing on his snack. "i remember." julian replies.

6th gif: miles leans back in his chair, "but now..." he trails off chewing his snack, and eating the one in his hand.

7th gif: the camera cuts to julian as he turns his head to look at miles once more. "and now?" he prompts him.

8th gif: the camera cuts to miles, he turns his head to look towards julian, he tells him, "well... now i don't." then looks ahead once more and goes to eat more of his snacks.

9th gif: the camera cuts to julian as he turns his head to look ahead. he is nodding while telling miles, "that means a lot to me, chief. it really does."

10th gif: miles leans over the couch, he tells julian, "really! now... that is from the heart, huh?" julian is nodding as he speaks and he pushes his fist against julian's shoulder to stress his words.

11th gif: julian turns to look at miles who continues talking, "huh? i really do. not hate you anymore." miles seems surprised with the realisation as well. /end ID]

[id: 10 gifs from season 3, episode 21 “the die is cast” from the tv series “star trek: deep space nine”, the gifs show three scenes from the episode the first has elim garak, odo, enabran tain on a romulan warbird on fire, the second scene garak and odo escaping using a runabout, the third scene shows them back on the defiant with miles obrien, and julian bashir.

1st gif: the first scene features garak from the shoulders up, the romulan warbird is on fire in the background. garak begins to realize that he's not going to get tain out of that chair, but he won't leave without him.he shouts "i can't just leave you here."

2nd gif: camera cuts to tain seated on a chair. he looks at garak and says, "i always did have a soft spot for you, garak... another of my flaws..."

3rd gif: camera cuts to garak, he shouts, "enabran," he is about to make another plea, when suddenly odo's hand pulls him back from the shoulder and he punches garak hard.

4th gif: camera cuts to show a wider angle of odo punching garak. the punch is hard enough to knock garak out and as he crumples to the deck, odo carries him.

5th, 6th, and 7th gif: the second scene, odo is sitting in the pilot seat of the runabout and garak is in the other seat. garak is rubbing what is now a large bruise on his head ruefully. garak says, "you can be very persuasive on occasion, constable. but you might consider using... gentler language in the future." odo replies "i'll keep that in mind."

8th gif: the third scene, in the transporter room of the defiant. miles says, "welcome back." the camera moves from miles to show odo and garak after transporting into the defiant. camera cuts to face enabran from the front and the back of garak, he is looking at garak from the corner of his eyes as garak continues, "why do you think i'm here?"

9th gif: odo says, "thank you." julian appears in the frame, he sees the bruise on garak's head. "oh, that looks painful."

10th gif: garak says, "it is." and turns to look at odo as he continues, "but it did save my life." /end id]
