いい出来だ、この調子だぞ自分！

……ええっと、彼はベッドで寝ていて、そこで

このキャラクターが……】

*クリエイターは色んなものに手を付けては辞め、

手をつけては辞めるを繰り返していた

そんなある日……。

【……うーん、なんか飽きてきたな……。

思ったより大変だし、辞めちゃおう。…だけど

何か没にするのもなぁ…、このキャラクターは

気に入ってるし……。一応残すか。】

*そうして

クリエイターは作ることを辞めてしまい、

自分が気に入っているキャラクターが存在だけでもしておいて欲しいと放置した。

ある日、 彼は目を覚ました。

見渡すと白黒の部屋で

ベッドしかなく、とても質素。

どうやらベッドで寝ていたようだ。

長い時間寝過ぎたせいなのか頭が痛く、

ふらつきながら立ち上がればドアの方へ歩み出す。

そして部屋のドアに手をかけ、開く。

外は変な事になっていた。

目を擦り、もう一度よく見る。

目に映ったのは、何処も彼処も未完成な物。

色が塗っていなかったり、途中で塗り飽きた物、

線画ができていなかった物もあった。

色んなものに手をつけて途中で飽きた事が

伺えるほど酷かった。

自分は1番最初にデザインされて完成した物で、

クリエイターの事を見てきた。

デザインを楽しそうにする

クリエイターを見るのが好きだった。

クリエイターがシュチュエーションを

決めだした頃、

その通りに自分は眠りについたのだ。

そして起きて外に出てみれば、こんなことに

なっていたのだ。

彼は、こん���筈が無い。と、

きっと歩いていけば完成したものが多いのだろうと

歩き出した。

見渡すと至る所にモンスターがいる、

だが何処かおかしい。生気を感じられないのだ。

彼は佇んでいるモンスター達の肩を揺らしたが

何も反応はなく、最初こそは不思議がっていた。

だが、数日の間。

抜け殻のように立っているモンスター達の事を

自分なりに調べ、分かったことがあった。

“ 命が無い ”。身体だけが存在しているのだ。

モンスターは死んだら塵になる事を知っていたので、

身体があるのに命が無いと言う状態に

気持ち悪さを覚える。

「うげえ…、やり出したことは最後までやれよ…、

それか消してくれたら良いのに……。」

嫌味を言いつつそれでも、彼は待った。

自分が早く生まれてきただけだろう、

もう少し待てば完成するはずだ。と。

待つ間、彼は持っていた自身のペンで

地面に落書きをしたりして暇を潰していた。

そうして待ち続け、莫大な時間が過ぎる。

＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿＿

「…なあ、いつ完成するんだ？そこにいるんだろ？

この景色を見続けるのも、

命の無いただのモンスターを見るのも

嫌になってきたんだ。

出来るだけ早めに、完成させてくれないか。」

「…………今、何やってるんだろうな……。」

彼は一人ポツンと呟いた。

その言葉に返事は当然返ってくることは無く、

また莫大な時間が過ぎてゆく。

それから○時間後……、いや、もっとたっただろう。

何年と言う月日の中で彼は日に日に

衰弱し、まともな判断ができなくなっていった

死体同然の動かないモンスターを

殴ったりしていたある日、

「…そうだ！自分で完成させれば、イイのか！」

そう思い立った彼は自分が持っている特別なペンを走らせ線画を完成させていく。

だがしかし、問題がすぐに出てきた。

それは色がどうしても付かないと言うこと。

ペンキで塗ろうとも色がなければ

そもそも塗れないのでダメ。

色を抜く能力はあるが、ここでは圧倒的無意味。

自分以外誰も色は付いていないのだから。

そもそも自分の色では圧倒的に足りないし、

色が抜ければ自分も死んでしまう。

彼は頭を悩ませているとふと、

色がついている場所を見つけた。

急いで駆け寄り何があるのかと確認すると、

紙が破れたように見えるような穴だった。

何故こんな穴があるのか？と思いながら顔を

覗かせると、

どうやら他の場所に繋がっているようで

彼は色を求め、その中に入っていった。

彼の生まれた場所である「▅▅▅tale」は

クリエイターが制作途中で飽きて放置されたAU。

本来どんなAUになる予定だったのかは黒で

塗りつぶされている為分からない。

Sansのデザインだけは完成していた為、

彼は動くことが出来たが、その他は未完成なので

中途半端にエリアがあったり

命は無く、形だけある未完成のモンスターが

佇んでいるだけの世界。

ポツンと看板が立ってい���

黒塗りされている為、ほぼ読めないが

「▅▅▅tale」と書いてある。

彼は未完成で放置されても

いつか完成させてくれるだろうと待っていたが、

どんなに待とうとも完成する気配が無い。

長い時間の中で狂っていく最中、

自分が完成させればいいんだと思いつき

線画を描いた。

そして色塗り、と言う時

どうしても色が付かず困り果てた。

他の世界から色を取り、自分の世界に

つけようと考えた。

【キャラクター】

仮止めとして看板に世界の名前が書かれているの

だが、黒色で塗りつぶされているので「▅▅▅tale」としか読めない。

後々、defective Sansが 赤文字で

“defective tale”と名付けた。

defective taleにいるモンスターは

器だけある状態で命は無い。

長い時間の中で狂っていく最中、

自分が完成させればいいんだと線画を描いた。

そして色塗り、と言う時

どうしても色が付かず困り果てた。

他の世界から色を取り、自分の世界に

つけようと考えた。

【概要】

defective taleに登場するSans。

世界は何もかも中途半端で不完全だったが、

唯一Sansのデザインは完成していた為

動けている。

彼は自分の世界を再創造、

世界に色を付けるためにAUに行っている。

彼は少し狂っていてまともな判断力がしにくく、

利己的なのだが寂しがり屋の一面も。

なぞなぞが好きだったり、

意外に頭を使うことが好き。

自分の世界に色を付けるために、色を奪う。

色は専用ボトルに保存される。

recreative Sansは元々

achromatic という名前だった。

自分の世界を再創造する為に

色を集めている。

ソウルの色はウィスタリア。日本で言う藤色

AUを巡っている最中で片目が砂嵐に

なってしまった。その際に片目の視力は失われた。

その副作用みたいなもので、

たまにブルースクリーンを吐く。

描いたものを具現化できるペンを

所持している。

幸せな世界線のAUを見ると

住人の心を壊したいという衝動に駆られる。

目の色は様々なものに変化し、たまに文字が出る時も。

武器は巨大なローラー

【能力】

・ブラスター

ドロドロとした物がへばりついているが

あれは決意と魔法が混じり、別の何かへと

変化したもの。

ビームの色はランダム。

・プレイバック

自分が見聞きした過去にあった出来事を、

その時の光景を映像と音声と共に再生できる。

・テレポート＆ポータル

他のAUに行くことが出来る。

テレポートの際に立っていた場所に、数分だけ

落書きのような��色の足跡が残る。

ポータルは破れた紙の様なデザイン。

・骨攻撃

ウィスタリア色の尖った骨を使って

攻撃や身を守る時に使う。

・brittle drawing（日本語訳:脆い絵）

ペンで絵を描くと、落書き程度に具現化できる。

生き物を描いたとしても命を吹き込めるわけでは

無いので器だけができる。

一定時間、時間が経過したり

4回攻撃を受けると消えてしまう。

色がついているキャラクターなら人間であろうと、モンスターであろうと奪うことが出来る。

色が奪われた身体の部分は、

何処であろうと機能しなくなり白くなる。

奪った色は、元に戻す事で動くようになる。

マスキングテープで動きを止める事が

出来る。魔法で出来ているので最初のうちは

とても強度等あるが、

素材が紙なので長時間経つと粘着が弱まり取れる

・mysterious black liquid

決意と魔法が混合し黒くなったもの。

人型が崩れたのような形からモンスターの形が

現れる。それを自由に操れるが

その分魔力が多く消費され直ぐに疲れ、

意識が飛びかけるので最終手段
