the company's annual family day event was held at bird paradise @ mandai this year~ on valentine's day too lmaoo. i haven't gone to check it out since the park's opening in 2023?? my interest was piqued. additionally, the company only planned activities (opening speech, bird show, and digital amazing race) in the morning, so we were all free to roam about or go home afterwards. getting an unofficial half-day off was a bonus~ my family didn't wanna take time off to go with me, so i invited koko!! (∗´ര ᎑ ര`∗) brought my gr3x along as well for another round of outdoor test shots.

it's been too long since i visited the bird park (the jurong one) so i don't rmb much about it. don't think i was very impressed as a kid though HAHAH. otherwise, i would've had some kind of impression right???

we saw many brands of birbs this time!! vibrantly coloured ones, monstrously large ones, and strange ones. i was most excited about seeing the fluffy penguins (partly to hide from the heat) and flamingos, but i think the derpy hornbills and pelicans are my bias wreckers...... they're just so endearingly silly???

we left the park slightly after 3 pm. barely made it into the cab before it started pouring!! phew. the next thing on our itinerary was to check out the traveler's factory stamp caravan at the overjoyed art store. stay tuned to part 2!!

we had our lunch at the penguin cove restaurant~ had to queue quite a bit bc everyone was grabbing lunch at that timing, and the complimentary meal vouchers could only be used at selected eateries within the bird park. we also didn't realise that we had to order our food first in a different queue before queueing for a dine-in table?? so that was kinda messy.

i didn't have breakfast so i was starving by the time our food was ready. got the fish and chips bc it looked so good on the menu. ( ´͈ ٣ `͈) the fish was rly good. flaky flesh with just the right amount of batter. the food did get cold rather quickly. not surprising bc we were dining with the penguins in view. i was also shivering from the cold LOL.

#log #um my camera's battery did not last the entire day unfortunately so i think i'll have to get more batteries #also the lack of zoom is quite limiting but it's good training!! for more scenic shots
