OOOHHHH I was thinking about this vaguely and decided I didn't want to figure it out at the moment lol. I could honestly see it going several different ways because I am indecisive as all heck hahaha.

Firstly, Luke decides to just GO FOR IT and asks Apollo to marry him. (In my brain their base is this one where the Professor mistook them for marrieds and so. It just makes sense. To make that a reality. He loves Apollo so so much and they have practically been married ever since Apollo moved to London to help him anyway, taking this leap for real is the next best step!!) But also Luke has just as much impulsiveness as Apollo, so it would make sense for him to get there first.

Alternatively, Apollo ends up proposing first and takes Luke completely by surprise!! (My idea for Apollo proposing is always that he ends up in some sort of situation where he just like, admits that he wants to spend the rest of his life with the one he loves. Not being one to say anything he doesn't really mean, he just then decides. Fuck it, proposal time.) Apollo proposal cannot be planned lol because if he did anything to plan then it would be a disaster. Also I live for the spontaneous realisation of "oh I want to legally bind myself to him because I really love him wow" hahaha

CHAOTIC OPTION, they're both trying to propose at the same time. Make it a real comedy of errors, as is the only natural Ace Attorney way lol. Apollo tried to follow some advice he got but his plans keep going sideways while Luke's own plan keeps getting side-stepped by Apollo's and they're both getting flustered because WHAT IS HAPPENING hahaha. This either resolves with one of them getting fed up and blurting it out or both of them going for it at the same time and then just laughing at one another. Silly and cute!!

Anyway!! Good luck figuring something out I'm sure it'll be awesome and cute no matter what it is you settle on!!! owo !!!!

Steven Universe (no, I don't want to hear your commentary on it)

Cookie Run. I haven't played Ovenbreak in a while, but those little guys still have my heart. Especially Pirate, Dr. Wasabi, Squid Ink, Sorbet Shark, and Strawberry.

Moana. Mostly Tamatoa and Matangi, but I honestly love most, if not all, of the characters from both films to some degree.

Great Mouse Detective. I'm a Great Mouse Detective fan first and a person second /j

Bill the Lizard (Disney's Alice in Wonderland/Great Mouse Detective version). He's been here a long time, I've just never really talked about him on here until I started developing him more for a fanfic (he has trauma and a mouse wife, if you even care /lh)

For today, I have decided to make little Ciro, Anabel and Looker' s son.

Ciro is a young Pokémon trainer with a great desire to solve mysteries. For a year now, he has been the traveling companion of Neon, Cynthia's son.

His first pokemon was a piplup, chosen by himself in the laboratory.

He drags Neon into his investigations, and writes everything down in a notebook, he loves mystery novels, he hopes to be a good detective in the future.

Can I share a Pokémon related hot take?

*ahem*

I actually don't like Pikachu as much I as I used to, Pikachu is overrated. Eevee, the rest of the Eeveelutions, Sprigatito, and Lucario are much better than Pikachu. I'm so tired of seeing goddamn Pikachu everywhere, I don't care if Pikachu is Pokémon's mascot, Pikachu is overused and overrated. I'm okay that Sprigatito seems to be the new mascot.

I also think Charizard is overrated, like wow you guys sure love a flightless dragon. Like seriously, Charizard is fire-FIGHTING type instead of fire-flying type despite having wings? What bullshit.

Honestly, the only Pikachu I'm fine with is Detective Pikachu because they actually bothered to give him a personality besides being some cute tagalong mascot. Sure he tags along with Tim, but Detective Pikachu's technically the one leading in the game, telling Tim what to do, so they're more on equal grounds as partners.

But aside from all that, I think Pikachu is overused and overrated. I'll give an exception for Detective Pikachu, but aside from that, some other Pokémon deserves the spotlight. That's actually what led to me creating a parody webcomic called "It Ain't Easy Being Eevee," I got sick of seeing Pikachu everywhere.

As someone in the eevee community, this take is actually pretty common take. But you gotta realize that Eevee is ALSO everywhere. Eevee is officially Pokemon's second mascot, next to Pikachu and Charizard, there's a LOT of Eevee/eeveelution merch as well. (plus isn't eevee's personality just "cute"? ) I looked up Manetric on Toyhouse for character inspo and found out that I had more Eevee OC's on TH than Manetric had on the website period. Sprigatito is popular, yes, but that will most likely pass after Paldea is over with and we are on the next region. Like remember when Piplup was everywhere? Eevee IS more popular than Pikachu! There are several polls showing this, both official and unofficial. For example, here

In this docs link, it shows someone who got 52,000 responses for their favorite pokemon vote. Yes, Charizard was number 1, but guess what? Umbreon was number 6 and Eevee was number 9. Pikachu did not reach top 10. (they were actually Number 44) By family, eevee and the eeveelutions had the most votes out of every single pokemon family with a total of 2865 votes.

And like, there are sections of the pokemon fandom that hate eeveelutions/eevee for this popularity the same way as people hate Pikachu and Charizard for theirs, and these people say the same thing. They are overused, they are overrated, etc etc.

I'd say, "it ain't easy being Eelektrik or Silcoon or Baltoy" at least Eevee is loved by the masses and is also everywhere.... (ok I actually do like Baltoy LOL, but that's JUST ME)

Trying to narrow down who our possible starters for Z-A could be; if we take out starters with Megas, regional forms, recently used (Gen 9 and Gen 4), and of course the Gen 6 starters if this is gonna be like Arceus, then that leaves us with:

Chikorita Line and Totodile Line

Snivy Line and Tepig Line

Litten Line and Popplio Line

Grookey Line, Scorbunny Line, and Sobble Line

Of course, GF could use the Gen 4 and 9 starters if they wanted - there’s no law against it. But I feel like they’d want to draw attention to starters that haven’t been in the spotlight recently.

Looking through this list, Snivy is the best bet for the Grass starter considering Serperior’s draws a lot of inspiration from France.

If Snivy is chosen for the Grass starter, that would leave us with Litten and Scorbunny for the Fire starter. I’m honestly fine with either of them, especially if we get a regional form, mega, or both for them and the other two starters.

If I had to choose, maybe Scorbunny since Rowlet was chosen for Arceus? Also soccer is apparently popular in France, so why not?

For the Water starter, I know the popular option is Piplup because Empoleon is based on Napoleon. But again, I feel like Gen 4 having represented so soon is a bit much.

If Scorbunny is in, then Sobble would be out, although Inteleon could work as a “private detective in the harsh city” kinda vibe.

Totodile would be a fun choice, but i don’t think France has alligators. Not that that actually matters, I mean France doesn’t naturally have lions either.

Popplio might be a good choice, maybe give Primarina a more “Cirque du Soleil” vibe to it if it has a regional form? Sure Cirque du Soleil is Canadian, but it’s French-Canadian so I think it would count 😂

So, in conclusion, this is my Z-A starter Pokémon prediction:

This is definitely a weird, but pretty fun line up.

It kinda reminds me when the starters for Arceus was revealed - a kind of “wait, why those three?!” at first, followed by a collective “ooohhhh I think see why”

Again, this is just my personal prediction, I’m curious to know yours!
