brain and brawn yes but LISTEN george rexstrew's got a few stealth muscles and jayden is donna-noble-makes-fun-of-you type skinny, why oh why are there not more fics or hcs or whatever that revolve around this! charles realising that he's "the brawn" purely by choice (by edwin choosing not to be) because edwin is a lot physically stronger than he seems at first glance. maybe edwin had to do mandatory sports, or maybe horseback riding, maybe he's just like that naturally, whatever the reason is, edwin's got some muscle on charles. that fact will not leave charles' brain. not in a jealous way, like he wishes he had bigger muscles; not because it's a bad thing, because why would it be? it just sticks, and then maybe they're on a case and things are going crazy and edwin can't dodge or magic his way out of something so instead he just wallops whatever he's up against with the nearest blunt object he can find. charles manages to see it happen and it's a good thing he'd taken care of his portion of the chaos because he fucking drops his cricket bat. picks it up real fast, whacks the thing again for good measure before grabbing edwin's wrist and pulling him into a sprint, but he's moving entirely on autopilot. he'd just seen edwim pick up a five foot stainless steel bench like it was nothing. there's a voice in the back of his head, somewhere behind the cacophony of "edwin is strong like that?" and "he's stronger than i am" and wordless clouds of confusion, that wonders how easy it would be for edwin to pin him - in a fight, of course, in a sparring situation where charles is teaching him self defense, not... not anything else. not to the wall to kiss him til he's dizzy. not front to back against a window, murmuring in his ear. not to the couch, their couch, just to be close to him. not to a bed, certainly not to use charles for his own sake. because edwin would never. but now charles knows he could. and it's all he can think about

Rookie attorney Deimos and owner of Status Quo Defense and Co. "Doc" are on the case! Unfortunately they have to deal with the most annoying top prosecutor of Nexus Corp. Phobos (who is also Deimos' brother. Sad!)

Okay I know I’ve been real silent in the fandom lately (can you blame me?) and I’m probably not coming back until Gosho do something about the main plot, but I just randomly remembered this scene:

I just— can you imagine how Heiji was feeling? Other detectives were questioning his method, basically calling him out on his character the same way his own father did ( I think Heizo did mentioned he’s too hot-headed).

Thus, in this situation he asked Shinichi, his bestfriend — and probably his idol too in detective work — if he was the wrong one. And Shinichi, Shinichi, he’s just so good to Heiji. He had never doubted him, there was no hesitation in his answer. He did not offer Heiji comfort, and did not even defend him, but when Heiji asked, he answered with confidence and with that smirk. (I love that smirk it’s basically him saying he’s right).

I did wonder why Shinichi did not defend him earlier. However, even if he did, what good will that do? Hakuba was set in his own way, Shinichi was stuck in a body of a child, and I wonder if he did not bother at all because he did not think Heiji needs it? Just like Hakuba was set in his own method, so was Heiji. He is hot-headed yeah but it never was to the point where he endanger someone’s life or disrupt the crime scene. We all know he’s a good detective, Shinichi knows it, and Heiji knows it too.

I just love how Shinichi’s confidence in him probably assured Heiji a little bit (or a LOT, that’s his bro there). There was never any “I do agree with you but I guess you could have done it differently…” etc. Heiji asked if what he did was wrong and Shinichi smirked his all-knowing-smirk and said “Nope, not at all.” . That’s like the best assurance you can hear from the bro you look up to. Oh and let’s be real if Hakuba saw how Shinichi conduct his own investigation he would be frothing at the mouth too.

In conclusion, this scene is so OLD yet it suddenly hit me with feels and I love this two so much I just had to share my thoughts on it XD.

It’s unrealistic, but in my mind I’ve decided that part of the look on Charles’ face after Edwin confessed is because Charles JUST got over his crush on Edwin. The boy was secretly holding a torch for his best friend for over twenty years, but since Edwin showed no signs of returning his feelings, or maybe he just didn’t want to risk it, Charles never said anything. He thought he’d finally gotten over it, and maybe he could move on and like Crystal for a while, when Edwin hit him with a full-on love confession, and now Charles has to deal with any residual feelings coming back, fighting with the growing feelings he has for Crystal. 

Boy is tired.
