Catch the eLearning Brothers at These Upcoming Conferences
If you’re anything like us here at eLearning Brothers, you’ve likely had a short break from conferences over the past month or two. You’re probably getting restless and maybe even a little giddy thinking about getting back at it. Am I right? Well, that’s how we feel, so we thought we’d give you a heads up on the events on our calendar in the near future!
First up is Utah’s SHRM Crossroads Conference in Provo on September 19th-20th. This will be our first time joining the local chapter of SHRM and after our experience at the national SHRM event in New Orleans this June, we can’t wait. You’ll be able to find us at Booth 606.
Next will be the Presentation Summit September 24th-27th in Clearwater Beach, FL. We’re sponsoring this summit and will have Curtis Morley, eLearning Brothers President, representing us there. Hurricane Irma willing, this should be a great event!
Our very own James Kingsley will be presenting at Online Learning Conference, held September 25th-27th in New Orleans.
Smartcon will be rounding out September for us on the 28th in Sandy, Utah. This Griffin Hill event focuses on sales and will be our first foray into sales conferences. Griffin Hill’s reputation as a leader in sales and revenue growth speaks for itself and we couldn’t be happier to be joining them for this event.
In October, Jennifer Fairbanks will present at Utah’s ATD Conference October 24th before rushing down to join the company at our biggest conference of the year.
Which brings us to DevLearn 2017! You can’t bring up DevLearn (October 25th-27th) around the eLearning Brothers office without getting people a bit excited. It’s one we look forward to every year and this year is no exception. We’ll be outlining details of what we have planned in Vegas as it draws near, but make some room in your schedule for the eLearning Rockstars sponsored Learning Stage.
For our Canadian friends, eLearning Brothers goes international in November with I4PL in Toronto on 6th-7th!
Stay tuned for more details that you won’t want to miss and we hope to see you this fall at one of these great events!

The eLearning Brothers YouTube Is Where It’s At
When you have a door bent out of shape in your house, you may immediately think to call a specialist. Or, if you’re anything like me, you’ll jump on the internet and see if it might be an easy fix.
Do you find yourself doing the same with eLearning Development or Design? If so I’m sure you’ve run across our YouTube page! We have one of the largest collections of tips, tricks, webinars, speakers, tutorials, and general awesomeness posted there for your viewing pleasure.
Today I want to point out some of the most beneficial sections of our YouTube channel.
Webinar Recordings
We post recordings of most of our Webinars here. Did you know that eLearning Brothers hosts at least one webinar a week all year around? We then post the recordings of those webinars on our YouTube page and on our blog. We’ve also been known to host Facebook Live events and have posted them here as well.
Tutorials
Working in an authoring tool? We post loads of tutorials, tips and tricks for eLearning authoring tools. This includes PowerPoint videos, Camtasia videos, Lectora, Captivate, and Articulate Storyline. I’m not lying when I say we have one of the largest reservoirs of information for every eLearning Developer out there. We even have videos for iSpring.
And that’s just the tips and tricks playlists. You can view the Stage Presentations from the 2018 eLBX conference on our YouTube page. Didn’t make it to DevLearn? That’s fine, we have posted the eLearning Rockstars Learning Stage Presentations from both 2018 and 2017. These are recorded presentations from Industry Experts including Dr. Michael Allen, Mike Hruska, Angel Green, and more!

UV50 Fastest-Growing Companies—Oh, Hey, That’s Us!
If there’s one thing we hope you’ve learned about us by now, it’s that we have big dreams for what eLearning can be—inspiring, immersive, visually explosive, trackable… To achieve all our big dreams, we’ve been getting bigger and selling more too. So much bigger we had to move to a new office! And no, it’s not just because we eat donuts every Friday. Although we do that too.
Some crazy smart and talented people have joined our team in the past couple of years, like Marty Rosenheck, our Director of Talent Development and Consulting, and Chris Willis, Senior Product Manager for Customizable Courseware. They’re helping us provide the eLearning world with even more great offerings: TREK Learning Experience Manager and Customizable Courseware. Plus, our sales team has been rapidly expanding to meet the demand for access to our huge template and asset libraries—which are also constantly growing, but that’s not what we’re here to talk about today.
We were just ranked #20 out of Utah’s 30 Fastest-Growing Companies by Utah Valley BusinessQ!
Rapt students of eLearning Brothers history may remember that this isn’t the first time we’ve made this list. That’s right, we’re multi-year winners. The UV50 award listing says eLearning Brothers “continues to infiltrate and dominate its market with a studly sales force, incredible innovation, and a family-like company culture.” I’m hoping the sales team doesn’t develop an over-inflated ego from being called “studly.”
Utah Valley BusinessQ ranks the top 50 companies in the Utah Valley each year. Categories include fastest growing, startups to watch, and economic engines. The Fastest-Growing Companies list is based on a percentage growth over the three-year period from 2014-2017.
Awards like these are a great honor, not only because they make us look cool, but also because they show us we’re doing something right in our quest to help the whole world become eLearning Rockstars. State of the eLearning Industry: An Interview with Dr. Michael Allen
At DevLearn 2017, eLearning Brothers Executive Director Bill West talked to the legendary Dr. Michael Allen about the insights he’s had since publishing his first “Guide to e-Learning,” and the simplifying concepts and procedures he’s included in his second edition.

How to Build a Real Game in Storyline 3
Have you ever wanted to build a fully fledged game in Articulate Storyline? Gaming is all the rage in eLearning, but without a sizable budget or external vendors, options are limited. Game elements in authoring tools are usually reduced to themed quizzes, with little actual gaming involved.
However, it is possible to get some pretty deep gameplay from off-the-shelf tools. In this video from our DevLearn 2017 eLearning Rockstars Stage, you’ll look at the process and challenges of creating and customizing games in Storyline 3, and you’ll find out how eLearning Brothers own Bill Milstid simplified that process with a new offering.
