As the winter is approaching I wanted to preserve some of summer’s warmth and brightness. So I’ve designed a mini collection of very special pendants. They are made with literally THE most gorgeous, iridescent, lustrous “Mermaid’s Toenail” seashells (scientific name: Anomiidae, yes spelled with two ii’s), in pearly-cream, soft peach, pale buff and golden colors. Meticulously hand-selected and curated by me over the entire summer, I sorted through hundreds of them for the most shimmery ones with the most beautiful shapes. I filled them with wondrously tranquil miniature lagoons, in clear aquas and vivid blues, and sealed them with optical quality resin. I spent a good amount of time finishing each one completely differently as you will see when I post the following ones, each with the finish that compliments it the most.
