Some Blog Updates:

Yo,

First up, I've made a new digimon themed main blog called @digitaldavis to better manage this side-blog and my personal interactions with the digimon fandom. Not exactly sure what I'm gonna be doing with it beyond that and a vague idea of possibly using it as a less rigidly structured positivity outlet for my intense love of transDavis/Daisuke, the 02 kids and all of my ship-related, queerheadcanons/fanfic ideas surrounding them and the entirety of Digimon Adventure 02 that I've not really talked about here before, if you're interested in that feel free to follow me there or, if you're an Adventure through Frontier Digimon focused blog and would like a follow, give me a shout~

Second, on this blog I've been doing some maintenance and I fixed the Digimon Adventure Tri and Frontier tags on the website version of this blog. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do about the mobile version. It looks like the app prevents the tags listed in the description of this blog from working as hyperlinks for some reason. You can still use them as a reference point for how I tag Digimon by series on this blog for now but I might remove them in the future and maybe pin a tag list or something since they're kind of redundant with the sidebar.

Third and last is that the new Digimon movie is coming out in Japan soon and in the US on the 8th and 9th of November. I'll be going to see it in theaters when it airs here, but from this point on I won't be making any more posts about it on this blog so if you're worried about spoilers here, there won't be any beyond the initial announcement trailer for the movie itself and the dub/US release announcement that was posted last week.

So, yeah, THIS BLOG WILL BE SPOILER FREE FOR THE NEW MOVIE.

This whole season of Digimon is just one big GPOY.

THIS FUCKING SHOW OKAY. rant time. i usually don’t rant on posts but FRONTIER IS SO IMPORTANT TO ME.

frontier is so important because it shows you how real the world is. it showed me exactly what happened when you were the better person, and how shitty it could be, and how it could mess you up. it showed me the very real pain of friendlessness and being scared of being like that. the very real pain of being different or too nice. but you know what? these kids, with all these goddamn problems…they found people. they found a whole GROUP of people that they could call actual friends. and it happened GRADUALLY. it wasn’t like the fourth episode everyone got along great like so many other shows. it took time. some of them got along quicker then others. but it HAPPENED. 

and when i was watching frontier for the first time, i was getting bullied because i was different. i didn’t really have friends, and try as hard as i might, nobody really noticed me. seeing these kids be in that situation but still matter was SO important to me, and helped me out a lot in life.

because when you’re bullied you feel like you don’t matter. that you’re not worth anything. but these kids? they were bullied, they had issues surrounding people. they were scared to make friends. they didn’t know how. and you know what they did?

they saved a goddamn world. they helped out, did what they could, they fought. and they found each other. and that allowed them to change for the better.

and that is so goddamn important.

I will never understand the hate Frontier gets. Its messege is so important and relatable. Maybe its only me, but this show literally helped me trought a really difficult moment of my life. This kids were just like me, they had issues making friends and watching them overcome this and save the world together gave me the hope and strength I needed to move on. I saw myself in them and felt a little less alone, like I was not the only one that felt different and struggled trusting others. 

For me, the Frontier kids will always be like old friends and will always have a special place in my heart. 

This show is not perfect, but the lesson that teaches us is just so important.
