"...t's...tak...o lon..." a voice began, but it was an amalgamation of glitched tones, until the image cleared up. Luckily, it was relatively quick. The young woman over the camera was a recognizable one, and contrary to how many would remember her, she dons a chipper smile on her face.

"Phew! Thought I'd never get that thing to turn on," she jokes, clearing her throat some from what was almost definitely a strenuous process of attempting to get her camera to work.

"Introductions may not be needed, but I'll do one anyway! My name is Kaede Akamatsu. And I'm known as the Ultimate Pianist." She wiggles her fingers in a playing motion, showing a visual representation of her talent. "And I've been hoping to get in touch with others. Whether they're people I knew or new people, the more the merrier, am I right? So... please give me a promo."

"...and... don't bring up... that..." she says softly, resting her forehead on one of her hands in exasperation from her prior experiences during the Killing Game. Do you speak with her?

Magical Promo... or something...

"I... do...ng...is..." a voice came over the camera before an image could, but it was horribly glitched out. It sounded feminine and soft, but without the full sentence, it was impossible to tell. But luckily, within minutes, the image cleared itself up, and before you stood...

...a tiny girl with red hair and a witch's hat adorning her head. She seemed miffed that the loading process had taken too long, scoffing as she greeted you. "Nyeh... 'bout time... That took forever... Um..." They turned to you, bored with your presence, but continuing nonetheless.. "My name is Himiko Yumeno... the Ultimate Mage. But I guess they call me the Ultimate Magician. But I'm a mage..."

She then gains a look of disdain, pointing at you accusatorily. "I can already hear you laughing! But I'm a mage, not a magician!" Wow! She must really take her magic tricks seriously, huh?

Then she pauses, having noticed her own outburst. "A-Anyway..." she trailed off, blushing from the embarrassment of lashing out so soon during speaking to you. "My therapist said this would be good for me, to interact with new people after the... events. I'm hoping to find some people I knew... like Harukawa and Saihara... So give this a boost for me, will you?"

hey i changed my url from disgustingbugs to slowbrobutch just so you all know

ye extemp is broken up into 3 categories. excomm (extemporaneous commentary) is where we have one broad category for each round per tournament, like maybe round 1 is broadway musicals, round 2 is 2016 blockbuster movies, and finals is political cartoons. each round u draw 3 smaller topics (like for musicals u could draw les mis, wicked, and fiddler on the roof) and u pick one of those to do the speech on. we also have fx (foreign extemp) and dx (domestic extemp) which r both politics related

ohhh ok so the first one here is called impromptu and its like you described just 3 random topics and then you pick one and you have 7 minutes to plan and speak a speech and then for the other 2 i’m not sure about

oh also i forgot to mention that AK also has expos (expository speaking) which idk if u have or not. but yeah the AK circuit is kinda wild and like i have no idea what forensics tumblr is talking abt half the time lmao. so like is poetry just like poetry recitation? also what are prose and radio and poi and like all the other stuff i mentioned?

yeah we have expos too!! with like,, boards about something informational right?

poetry here is where you pick a topic then find a handful of poems that relate and then smoosh them all together so it makes sense, like interweave them together so they kind of display the theme? you perform it out of a black binder (black book) and its kind of a prop?

POI stands for program oral interp and its kinda like poetry but with more places you can take from, you can incorporate news articles and short stories and all that also with a common theme this has a black book too

prose is the last black book event (my favorite) and you choose a book/novel/literature and cut it down to 10 minutes and perform it (usually in 1st person, its like you are telling a story

dec = declaration which was a trial event we had for a year where you recite a famous speech. that’s literally it.

im not quite sure about any of the other ones though
