Post made his theatrical acting debut in Spenser Confidential, starring Mark Wahlberg. Post must have enjoyed himself on set because he wants to do more acting projects. It’s going to be hard to really branch out in his acting career with the face tattoos, though, but they can be covered with makeup.

Wahlberg tried to talk Post into getting rid of his tattoos - instead, Post got another face tattoo after filming ended.

14. His Dad Was A DJ

Post Malone’s father was the one who introduced Post to a bunch of different musical genres. When his father was younger, he was a DJ. Post followed in his footsteps by being the DJ during Emo Nite in Los Angeles in 2017. He played several My Chemical Romance songs.

13. He Learned Guitar From YouTube Tutorials

Post was inspired to learn the guitar after playing the video game, Guitar Hero. He taught himself how to play the instrument by watching YouTube tutorials. A lot of younger musicians are self-taught due to YouTube. No kid wants to spend hours learning “Hot Cross Buns.” They want to learn an Ed Sheeran song right off the bat.

When he was fifteen years old, he auditioned to be the guitarist for the alternative rock/metal band, Crown the Empire. This happened in 2010. The strings on his guitar broke during his audition, making him lose the job, or at least that’s what they told him. Couldn’t he have borrowed another guitar to continue the audition?

11. He Got His Stage Name From An Online Generator

Post’s real name is Austin Richard Post. Many thought the last part of his stage name was inspired by the basketball player, Karl Malone. Post went on record about his stage name, saying Post is his last name and Malone came from an online rap name generator. Considering his rap name came from a generator, it's not bad.

10. He Made His First Mixtape At Sixteen

When he was sixteen, he created his first mixtape, called "Young and After Them Riches". He showed it to his friends and high school classmates. They must have liked it because they nominated him, “Most Likely to Become Famous.” They were spot on with their prediction.

9. He Performed At Kylie Jenner's 18th Birthday Party

Kylie Jenner’s birthday parties must make the girls on My Sweet Sixteen green with envy. Who else has performed at Kylie’s birthday parties? Drake? Beyoncé? Post began to take music seriously when he joined a heavy metal band. Post’s music is what he considers to be genre-less. 3. He Was A Member Of BLCKVRD

When Post moved to Los Angeles, he got together with several other producers and artists to form the group, BLCKVRD. Together the group focused on recording music. Several members of the group, including Post, moved to the San Fernando Valley and rented a house.

Post was friends with Justin Bieber before the Canadian singer asked him to be one of the opening acts on the North American leg of the Purpose tour. The two of them pulled pranks on each other. Justin was the one who inspired Post to get his first tattoo.

In 2018 Post’s manager announced Post’s plan to create his own record label and film production company. Post’s schedule leaves little time to run two giant companies. Since the 2018 interview with Billboard, no other news has been announced about Post’s impending record and production company.
