B was too tired to watch KPop Demon Hunters with me, but his mom was like, “that’s fine, we can watch it without him,” so I just spent the last hr and half laughing along (and then like, maybe shouting a little at the end) with her and it was a 10/10 bonding experience, B seriously missed out.

I’m fucking obsessed with @goodmorningevildoers .
I listened to the first season like tree times in the first three weeks and really want to write fanfic for it
I now for the first time ever actually bought the extra content for an show I ever listened to.
But I would really like to ask about locations of Global Synergy Amalgamated in other countries for example in the EU.
Are there more than one person responsible for HR or does Winifred have to manage the whole thing?
I can’t wait for the next season!

Oh, that's really fucking cool. Oh wow.
I'm watching/listening to the Into the Darkness channel on youtube, and I'm watching the first session of a Call of Cthulhu scenario written by the game master, called Texas Tea:
youtube
And it is spectacular. Even just one session in.
The basic plot is that the players are a crew working on decommissioning an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico that's due to be sunk next week to become a reef. One evening they all go to bed as an unexpected squall rolls up across the rig. When they all wake up the next morning, things have gotten really fucking weird.
And by 'really fucking weird', I mean that by the end of the session, the characters have concluded that the two possibilities for what has happened is that they've been transported to the Twilight Zone, or they've been transported to Hell.
Oh, I genuinely enjoyed that. I can't wait for the next episode.

Slimmed-down post/rules, but originally taken from kedreeva (and directly taken from suzukiblu)
It’s WIP Wednesday on a Thursday! I am free of the grad school! For. two weeks.
Here’s how it works:
I will post the file names of five WIPs, and will also post a snippet of new content from one of them to get the ball rolling.
Send me an ask with the name of one of the listed WIPs and I will write you a minimum of three sentences in that WIP in response!
Multiple asks are fine ^-^
If you’re reading this, you’re invited!
WIP names:
With Tar-Telepta, Aran Morinórea (coruling Mordor for fun and aesthetics; silvergifting; on ao3 here):
The Worst Road Trip (you think tar-gloriel’s an asshole, maglor, imagine having to work for the guy)
Annatar’s Shit Paradigms (catastrophic consent-related miscommunication)
Without Tar-Telepta:
Donating Blood (vivisecting your maia boyfriend; silvergifting)
Mallachel (accidental time travel with Nargothrond Celebrimbor and melted Sauron; silvergifting; on ao3 here)
Non-Euclidean Nan Elmoth (maeglin mind controlling glorfindel for fun and aesthetics)
snippet from Non-Euclidean Nan Elmoth:
It’s so dark.
When he gets tired, he half-sleeps in the bed. If Maeglin didn’t want him to, he shouldn't have left him here. By the time he’s hungry enough he can’t ignore it any longer, he's able to navigate fairly well between the bed, the washbasin and its full lidded pitcher of clean water (which was such a relief to discover), the chamberpot, and the food tray.
Again, the uncertainty of how long this is going to go on is crushing. He doesn’t want to eat too much too soon and then be even more miserable later.
It’s so dark.
On top of the dresser he eventually finds a hand mirror. He almost drops it immediately on discovering it, and the shards would have been horrible to try to deal with.
Without the mirror, the Treelight in Laurefindelë’s eyes only means he can sometimes see his own nose. But if he holds it up to his face, the light in his eyes scatters, and it makes just the faintest glow. Not really enough to see clearly by, but enough to remind himself he’s in an unlit room and not the Everlasting Darkness or something.

Can you tell us about flow laying? Like what are some of the cards used and what do they mean, how it's decided there should do one and who should be invited to it?
Do I have more info about flow laying? Oh boy, do I have more info about flow laying. (I have hand drawn charts!)
(This will be all over the place and very long, but please, bear with me.)
First off, the name. Why is it called flow laying? Well, because the cards literally read the flow of power travelling through the world. That way they can give information about the past and present, while they can only make guesses about the future. (Though most of the time they're very good guesses.)
Each card represents a person, a being, a concept, or a seat of power. Like the Black Ships represent the concept of unsuspecting danger drawing closer.
To your last question: In the case of The Games We Play, Rhea - as the owner of the cards - made the decision to lay them. (The reason was the too long and too cold winter) There's a preliminary reading upon which Rhea decides which people need to be present. It's an art form to read the cards and interpret who represents who and who to invite.
There are three big categories the cards fall into:
Active cards, sleeping cards and dead cards.
Active cards are depicting those beings/people/concepts which are actively part of what you want to know. Sleeping cards depict those who don't/can't actively play a part, but are still a factor to be considered. And dead cards are remnants that are still important, but are quite literally dead.
The next biggest categories are the domains in which the cards take their places. There are two of them. The Greater Domains and the Lesser Domains. Which Domain (group of cards) falls into which is dependent on infulence and power, so there's a certain amount of fluidity. Though it is considered a Big Deal when a Domain changes place.
Under the Greater Domains fall The Hunt, The Astrals, The Night, The Day and The Wilds. The Lesser Domains contain The Fire, The Black and the Royal Domain. There's also a group of neutral cards that don't owe their allegiance to one Domain or another, so they make a group of their own.
How many cards there are exactly constantly changes and depends on what the person/people laying the cards want to know. (The Greater Domain of The Astrals is the most stable at 30 cards. The six Astrals and the 24 messengers.)
The Domains of The Hunt and The Wilds represent those belonging to the Wooden Throne, which represents Galahd. The card Wooden Throne itself is considered neutral, since it doesn't belong to one Domain or another.
The Astrals are pretty self explanatory, I think.
The Night and The Day represent the Sister Goddesses and their servants. (Etro, for example, it the Queen of The Night. She is a sleeping card, because she cannot actively intervene in anything going on. Eos is the Queen of The Day. She is a dead card for obvious reasons.)
The Black is the starscourge with Ardyn as the Herold. He switches from a sleeping card to an active one, and it makes people in the kow very nervous.
The Royal Domain represents the roayal houses of Lucis and Tenebrae. The King is the king of Lucis, the Queen the queen of Tenebrae. There's also cards called the Shield (Amicitia), and the General (currently Cor).
The Fire is an interesting one because no one is quite sure what that one is about. It slowly cropped up over the span of decades and is mostly made up of sleeping cards with the odd active one.
Neutral cards other than the Black Ships and the Wooden Throne would be the Gates (Death) and the Chained Heart (the Crystal/Light/healing).

One of the things I noticed and really thought was cute about Assan is how he has one ear that sticks straight up and the other doesn't, kind of to make him stand out, right? Even though we don't see the other griffons much through the story.
I've been reading The Last Flight, now that I finished the re-read of Tevinter Nights (very much worth reading, especially now that I recognize the characters they mention in it), and it fills in all the gaps retroactively about what happened with the griffons. But most importantly it mentions that Crookytail, whose statue you see in the training grounds when you recruit Davrin, sired the clutch of griffons that have been hatched in the present day. That specific quirk of Assan's ears is also ascribed to Crookytail.
I just really love that from 400 years ago or whatever (during the Blessed Age), they still show their parentage and that the designers brought that simple description into the game to tie it together, in addition to the more pertinent lore details.
