Decided to try this out
I know this has probably been done before, but wanted to try this out. So I love RPG and D&D; so take this alignment test and a class test. Feel free to choose from the various clans that exist in D&D. And then do this picrew.
Neither of the tests, or the picrew, belong to me btw.
This can be you or an OC btw. I decided to do Fantasy nonsense me.
My results [below the cut]
Alignment
Chaotic good; A chaotic good character acts as their conscience directs them with little regard for what others expect of them. They make their own way, but they are kind and benevolent. They believe in goodness and right but have little use for laws and regulations. They hate it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. They follow their own moral compass, which, although good, may not agree with that of society. Chaotic good is the best alignment you can be because it combines a good heart with a free spirit. However, chaotic good can be a dangerous alignment when it disrupts the order of society and punishes those who do well for themselves.
Class
Ranger; You are a ranger! Your skillset is a blend of naturalistic knowledge and personal survival skill. Rangers are at home in even the wildest and least hospitable of places, such as vast jungles or suffocating caverns. They are skilled hunters and nimble warriors, a base which they supplement with impressive tracking skills and a vast knowledge of their prey obtained through observation and experience. Some rangers bond with an animal and battle alongside it as a partner, while others practice complex combat maneuvers or place a focus on stealthy ambushes. Some even focus on harnessing the magical power of nature, much like druids. A ranger is a skilled and self-sufficient skirmisher who uses their mobility and skillset to fight effectively at any distance - especially against their favored prey.
Tumblr media
Dove, a chaotic good ranger guiding others. Writes stories and knits in their free time. Has a mailing pigeon for messages and letters.

While I'm on a tear... It has always bothered me that the dragons just explode out of their shells like that. Nothing that hatches does that (except maybe some insects or fish). Like, watch chicks hatch; they take about an hour to really get out of there. I get where it's more narratively dramatic to just have your little dragon bomb pop out of the egg, and Anne was a horse girl, not general farm girl. But how cool would it be to have to patiently wait while the dragonets are sorting themselves out? Maybe a candidate or two get called on early, but most are just wandering in and out of the hatching grounds all day to see who's out of their shell yet.
Also! Why don't the dragons ever reach out to potential life partners while they're in the egg? Breathing air is a pretty arbitrary starting point for sapience. We know they can hear through their shells, that the queens talk to them, and that they talk back after a point. I just don't buy that no candidates don't hear little wisps of thought or have weird dreams that are these questing alien minds investigating potential connections.
Anyway. Been meaning to talk about these two things for ages.

one of my favorite things about tim is that he is truly and honestly no one's favorite. he's no one's first choice, he's not even his own first choice.
what makes him a good hero is not his need to be the best but need to fix things that are broken. he wants to make a difference and decided well if no one else was going to do it, might as well be him.
thing is now, he doesn't know how to stop. he was robin when no one else was, and now he doesn't really know how to be anything else

sometime between dead space (2023) and dead space 2, isaac recounts a dream where the line between the ishimura and isaac is blurred. was there ever a line to begin with?
the comic is up on itchio for free in PDF form + includes a bunch of in progress pics and extras (putting a few below the cut here :B). also my other dead space comic is up on itch as well!

Everybody who's played Undertale/Undertale Yellow knows that in order to get through fights without hurting/killing monsters, you need to use ACTs. What you might not know is that (at least in UTY, I don't recall if this is a feature in UT) what Clover does when they ACT and how the enemy responds changes if the enemy is hurt enough to display their injured sprite.
Usually it's nothing too crazy. For example, Clover (hypnotizing +) singing to an Insomnitot will meet its SPARE conditions and have Insomnitot remark that Clover is a good singer, whereas if Clover first injures then sings to an Insomnitot, it will be too distracted to notice Clover's little ditty and will also tell Clover "You need vocal lessons." Or doing 'ACT: Touch' on Cactony will have Clover give Cactony a careful pat in-between two spines, but doing 'FIGHT: ACT: Touch' will have Clover prick their finger on Cactony's bristles. It's a fun little detail that most wouldn't notice because people generally either choose to focus on only sparing or fighting the enemy instead of trying to "play" with the enemy when they're injured.
It does fall apart a bit when you come across Sousborg in the Steamworks in a Neutral/No Mercy Run. Sousborg has a unique gimmick where, in order to meet his SPARE conditions, you have to instruct him on how to cook an egg. Unfortunately, the devs likely weren't expecting someone to do the whole "injure then ACT" deal with Sousborg*. As a result, these injury ACTs don't fit the actions that Clover can choose from the menu. For example, doing 'ACT: Crack,' which would normally have Clover instruct Sousborg to crack the egg on the edge of the pan, will instead display the text "You toss Sousborg's cooking into the garbage." which... has nothing to do with cracking anything.
The ACT menu will still progress as though Clover instructed Sousborg on proper egg preparation if they choose the correct prompts (Crack -> Fry -> Season). Some of the lines for the instructions will even be the same as they were if Clover didn't initially injure Sousborg. Sousborg also doesn't try to fight back either if Clover is ACTing against him. It's just a fun and interesting thing I noticed. Here's some screenshots from the fight, as well as what ACTs yielded which results.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An example of an ACT (Bake) displaying the same exact text that it would if Sousborg wasn't injured and Clover attempted the ACT. No egg was ever cracked, so there is also no "puppy" to throw into the oven.
Tumblr media
This is what Sousborg's bullet box looks like when Clover does an "injury ACT." It lasts long enough for him to say his line, but once you press X to progress the text, it disappears and he doesn't try to attack you.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another example of a selected ACT not displaying the correct action for the prompt chosen. Nothing about choosing 'ACT: Boil' should have Clover toss Sousborg's cooking into the garbage.
Tumblr media
All the ACTs from this battle that I noticed. Note that the text in parentheses is what Sousborg responds with. Unlike other enemies where their response directly correlates to what ACT Clover chooses (even if injured), robotic enemies (when injured) will always respond with a random line that doesn't have anything to do with the ACT that Clover chooses. Like they're defaulting to programmed responses. For example, choosing ACT: Bake can have Sousborg say "D../inner _:wiLl be <r-Ready .> Soon." or "Sw/>.eet _or SAVory?" at random (I just put down the first one I noticed when I was fighting him).
*Or perhaps the ACTs that Clover could do were supposed to change entirely if Sousborg was injured, which differs from the ACT options in the other battles. Usually the ACTs stay the same but change how Clover performs those actions. I speculate if this was the intention, then they might've said something along the lines of "Wash" and "Toss," to fit how Clover can either wash Sousborg's oil off their hands or toss his cooking into the garbage.

This is just insane to me. Tomie and Astarion are both technically companions but with the power of mods they're romancing each other. And that's WILD. That I can just do shit like this with the click of a passive toggle. Also I can't belive how in character Shadowheart's romance lines are for Tomie it suits her perfectly ;w;

Read Scott Pilgrim recently and like. Why did Bryan Lee O'Malley give Scott a social circle consisting almost entirely of women and gay men? Like, Scott is supposed to be a straight dude but he has literally two straight dude friends and one of them later turns out to be gay. It's not even like this is some accident of how the supporting cast happened to shake out either, Scott explicitly says that all his friends in high school were girls. This is a deliberate characterization choice and like... why?

Also just finished watching a video that made me ACTUALLY ANNOYED at the guy who made it and like. ok if you don't want a story told through Minecraft that is made through the lens of content creation in ANY capacity then don't??? watch stories told through Minecraft????? Cuz like. they're mostly like that; even parkciv which is still good IS done through a content creation viewpoint — either as a parody on the medium it was being told through (scripted Minecraft content/Minecraft storytelling) or just as a result of telling the story and like. needing to pay the bills or whatever is a bit up in the air I guess BUT STILL. don't sing praises to a series that's GREAT in all cinematography aspects that JUST SO HAPPENS to be told through Minecraft all the while you're saying "oooh Minecraft storytelling shouldn't be scared of being called cringe just bc it's embracing roleplay to tell it's narrative, it shouldn't pretend to be non-scripted when it so clearly is" which true, JUST TO THEN critique parkciv for...
*checks notes*
... Embracing its medium AND its limitations to tell its story, JUST bc it didn't necessarily strive to be groundbreaking??? What??????
From what I understand, the series the guy was singing praises to like it was his own child at the local school's dance recital, Whitepine (which I'm currently watching so I'll just come back to this once I've finished — let's see if I'll eat my words [doubt it]) is GREAT in terms of visuals, audio and the likes — it obviously takes great care in forming its atmosphere and from the little I've seen the youtubers are genuinely being actors, not just their normal selves masquerading as characters (something that, admittedly, happens A LOT in scripted Minecraft content/Minecraft storytelling like SMPs or solo series [I'm looking at you, later half of the DSMP]). But it isn't Minecraft storytelling — in my opinion, at least.
Minecraft storytelling implies that it includes Minecraft and its mechanics in some way, shape or form that becomes impactful to the story that is being told — it isn't just a REALLY good story that just so happens to use Minecraft as its movie set. This, ultimately, is why I think the guy was wrong — not necessarily in the idea that the stories he critiqued had more room to grow (which parkciv at least does. I haven't watched ParrotX2's Unstable Universe videos and I don't really plan to; they're not my thing) but in what "Minecraft storytelling" should strive to be.
I have a vivid memory — trust me, this is related — of when I was younger (they say, like she's an octogenarian instead of not even being halfway through his lifetime. anyway) having played Minecraft Murder Mystery with my friends in the playground bc I really REALLY liked Gona89's video series on it. This is like, not really the same storytelling but they did have a sort of story — the chemistry between the youtubers felt like watching a series of characters interact with one another, and certain jokes from one video would seamlessly move into the next as well.
And y'know what? IT DIDN'T FUCKING WORK — playing the thing in the playground, that is. Because the thing wasn't made for that; stories have their medium of expression because they're tailored to it, or the medium is tailored to that story — if your Minecraft story can be told perfectly fine when divorced from its primary medium of expression (Minecraft), then it's LITERALLY not a Minecraft story: it just happens to use the game as the backdrop
... Kinda like The Lego Movie: a lot of the mechanics within the movie CANNOT be divorced from lego that easily BECAUSE it's a fucking LEGO MOVIE — partially related but not really the point of this rant: this is why A Minecraft Movie's trailer fucking FLOPPED. It showed absolutely NO POINT in being made bc it's NOT a Minecraft movie (pun accidentally stumbled upon but I shall confidently roll with it, actually), instead it JUST SO HAPPEN to use the videogame as its set.
TLDR: IF YOUR STORY DOESN'T INCLUDE MECHANICAL ELEMENTS THAT ARE INTRINSICAL TO THE GAME YOU USE TO TELL IT, THEN SAID GAME IS JUST THE FUCKING SET. IT'S NOT A MINECRAFT MOVIE JUST BC IT HAPPENS TO BE RECORDED IN MINECRAFT FOR FUCK'S SAKE

"I am not a furry" - Inim, Guax, 2024
Never have I, in the year of our lord 2024, seen such wicked lies. The signs are clear, you have a fursona, you like animation (which I can guarantee 99.9% of furries also do), you breathe oxygen, and most important of all: you are an animal, and thus, a furry.
I am disappointed to see you tell such dastardly lies so openly, I shall even take an hour of my day entirely dedicated to cry myself to sleep due to such horrid actions.
My disappointment is beyond immeasurable, and my day is ruined thoroughly. I can't believe you've done this.
(Seriously tho Guax isn't a furry. She does technically have a fursona though, change my mind)

In the DA:I trailers for Vivienne and The Iron Bull's, we see that the explosion of the Conclave was visible from almost-certainly Orlais for Vivienne and from what could be the Storm Coast for Bull. Meaning that the Breach is possibly visible all the way from Haven to at least both those places.
But. How does that work?? Scientifically? How far up the sky and how big would the Breach have to be for this to be possible?? Is the Breach set in space?

I sat here for a while trying to think of a silly greeting and call you a Father, but the more I did it, the more I felt like a catholic on the other side of a confessional. Though that does give it a fun flair, don't you think?
Initially Sent: 04/05/25, 7:06 EST
VOWED i would answer this before today was up (ignore the time plsssss :3<) but OUGHHHHH that's exactly it!!!!!!! i would feel sooooo many ways being called "father" in a catholic priest kinda way....... my soul would literally backflip out of my body u wouldn't even know (proof: been thinking about this ask nonstop today and pulled up my tumblr multiple times on the work computer just so i could giggle and twirl my hair at it) i couldn't say the same about being called "Father" in a familial kinda way since that's not exactly something i jive with on a deep psychological level but being called father in a priest kinda way??? im losing my MIND i never knew it till i saw it happen to someone else but im pretty sure that would make my soul fuller than it was previously by a lot possibly. im pretty sure please refer to me as you would a polite and humble catholic priest with absolutely appalling sexual taste on the down-low or those generic fat nerds with the balding heads and the flannels from japan in the late 90's-early 00's who are rotting in their dirty flat when theyre not going to the arcade or making absolutely rancid comments about vn lolis online . either works because thats who i really am inside! ❤️ :]

I may come off as a nerd for saying this but screw it, I don't care.
I find it entertaining that localization has screwed over King Boo not once but two times.
In Super Mario Sunshine, there's a localization error in the U.S. His name in Japanese is really "Boss Boo".
Then in Super Mario 64 DS, he mistakenly calls himself "Big Boo" instead of King Boo.
Idk I just find it funny. All this to say that localization hates King Boo and it's caused some confusion amongst players.
