since duckduckgo is locked and I'm using ibis paint x for tumblr and I can't upload art now and I'm too impatient to wait to tell my lore based on @random-bi-writer's post HERE'S WHAT I COOKED UP GUYS
Becky as TB: She's still from Lexicon, but instead of taking a liking to heroism, she takes an interest in Science. Unfortunately, during an experiment gone wrong with a lab mouse named Squeaky, she gets a mouse brain stuck to her head and a new craving for cheese. With her powers, she's able to steal cheese very easily. Her and TJ had a sibling found family friendship, but after things were kind of strained.
TJ as Wordgirl: TJ grew up idolizing heroes of the past, always wanting to be one himself. After his parents and friend Becky became villains, he was determined to not only capture them but to try to change their ways (to no success most of the time). He lives with Steven Boxlietner, a scientist and lawyer, and Steven's boyfriend Chuck, a sandwich shop worker. His hero name is Gadget boy, he uses gadgets (obvi) since he has no powers.
Steven as Sally: A lawyer and a scientist, he took in TJ after his parents became villains, and counts as a mentor towards his adopted son. I have to cook up more lore for him but he's still as silly as his canon counterpart
Chuck as Tim: Steven's boyfriend, and owner of a sandwich shop downtown, he just spends his time making sandwiches and picking out movies for his boyfriend and adopted son. Like Steven i don't have much sorry 😭
Huggy as Ms. Power: He left Becky on earth, flew home, and then proceeded to get kicked off of lexicon for losing a baby. Bitter about losing his status, he began taking over worlds and blames Becky for the turmoil and anger he feels on a daily basis and when he goes back to Earth he's especially sour to TB Becky. He's a very grumpy middle aged monkey
Victoria as Huggy: She's owed TJ money 💀
Tim as Mr. Big: A business man using his power and money to constantly take over the city, in reality he's just really really lonely after his parents died and his girlfriend left him. Most of the time his mind control plots are more or so so he's not alone, which bothers TJ (as Gadget boy) greatly. He spoils TJ every weekend he sees him and tries to spend every waking moment with his son since he's lowkey the only company he has 😭😭😭(besides an assistant but idk who the assistant would be yet)
Sally as LRW: An overworked copy shop owner, she fused with a copy machine like canon lrw and began using her clones to cause havoc for anyone who's ever wronged her. She and Tim are exes because Tim started focusing on his job more and Sally was tired of doing everything (After this Tim becomes the equivalent to the "PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE" rizz meme because he felt bad💀). TJ usually tags along at her job when he visits for the weekend and she's always complaing about her boss and job. TJ is trying to teach her to not be so petty.
Did I cook guys or nahh

Wooo wordgirl oc redesign!!
He used to be a villain but I redesigned him so he's just an ex-scientist instead. Also he's Amazon Guy's younger brother and he used to be Steven's lab partner before he got turned into Two-Brains, that's when he quit. He's now the science teacher at Woodview elementary and basically tries to mind his own business half the time (more info on him in the pictures if u can read my handwriting LMFAO)
Also yes I ship him with Two-Brains what did u expect from me
I'll probably post more of him, like him in wordgirl scenes

Drawovers and future AU.
Some lore under the cut:
Five years have passed in Fair City, Word Girl and friends are now in high school. The villains are up to their usual shenanigans, some have even retired.
MAJOR AU SPOILERS - DO NOT READ IF YOU INTEND ON READING COMICS.
Dr. Two Brains, however, has slowly felt his mind slip from his control as the years pass, realizing that not only has he lost control of his mind but his body as well. He has undergone some unforeseen changes, slowly transforming into the body of a mouse. His claws poke through his gloves due to this, and he desperately tries to conceal his physical changes.
Professor Snakescrew, once known as Professor Seren Ramos, was once Steven Boxlietners colleague at the police station laboratory, working as a kind of assistant starting position. She graduated from the same university Steven had gone, and once teached in. Her goal has always been to surpass him in terms of her inventions and bettering the city, no matter the cost.
Dr. Two Brains (Steven Boxleitner) was a forensic scientist that also doubled as a hero researcher for Fair City. This often included studying Amazo-Guy, and publishing the famed Superhero Guide that Word Girl often refers to.
Backstory synopsis for Snakescrew: Jealous assistant striving for bigger and better things conducts an experiment that was almost guaranteed to fail. Saved by Steven, she blames him for her ailments, her failed career, and the destruction of her project.
-
Seren “Prof. Snakescrew” Ramos

Unfinished business
A bright stark light stunned his vision. Where he was he couldn't tell. But what he could gather by the blaring lights and dark surroundings it was some sort of interrogation room.
A sharp pain erupted on his side causing him to jerk upwards.
"Good. Your awake"
Due to the surrounding lack of proper lighting, steven didnt know who exactly was speaking to him. but the voice sounded familiar…
"Who are you?" He wheezes. They had tazed him. Talk about a rude awaking.
Lenses from glasses shined malicously as the person leaned forward. Still steven couldn't make out any facial features. Intentional. Can't properly attack what you cant see.
The mystery person smirked.
"Let's just say I'm the person in charge of this place."
Steven squinted trying to catch their face, getting up to see them better. Big mistake.
{{{{{           bbbbzzzzzttttt            }}}}}
He fell back onto his chair. He groaned in pain. Wasn't the worst thing he'd experienced but definitely disorienting.
"Incase you've forgotten what you've done is a federal crime. Stolen government property. Tampered with federal business. And posed a threat to national security." A sound of a folder closing echoed in the room. "And that's not even for your past criminal history. Shall i continue?"
Steven scoffed at their fake accusations "I've stolen nothing of-"
{{{     bzzzzzztttttt     }}}
His ribs hurt, breathing was difficult. Clenching his fist he glared at his unsee opponent.
"Our records here say otherwise."
"Excuse me?"
"Test Subject 013. Property of B.E.A.W. labs."
"My wife isn't your science project! And nor is she YOUR PROPERTY"
"Your wife's dead. And has been for nearly a decade."
"Liars."
"Believe what you want dr. Boxlietner. It doesn't change anything."
the brunet scowled. He didn't have time for this. Infact he was only putting up with it just to find his wife and get her back.
"We've looked past certain descriptances. however your attitude will not be tolerated"
Another zap. This time longer. He squirmed trying to get away but his body reacted too slow. Each time he was shocked it felt like energy was being drained from him.
A paper and pen was slid over towards him. He realized it was a contract. On surface level Upon closer inspection however it was clear there was more going on than hush cash. He wasn't the one to skip over fine print. And for this very reason.
In order for the so called 'compensation' to be given, Carrie or as they insisted on calling her 013 was not permitted to roam anywhere outside of fair city. Coming back twice every month for check ups. Medications for her to take daily. (Schedule will be mailed every week)
Failure to follow meant immediate repossession and the rest of his lifetime behind federal bars. And not only that they were going to take away his kids.
He hated how they kept referring to a human being like an object/animal. He noticed how they didn't even bother asking her consent to any of this.
Steven knew whatever these check ups and medicine were was cover ups for whatever sick experiments they had planned.
"You either comply or you don't. Either way we always get what we want." The voice was all too cheerful. Like they were getting amusement watching him suffer. it was disgusting. He gripped the edge of his seat in silent rage.
'Keep it together steven, get Carrie out of here first…revenge after' he reasoned. He rubbed his face in irritation. He rather not put her through any of this in the first place.
He did not have a choice in the matter.
With deep disdain, he printed his name on the document. The lights went out shortly after.
All of THAT took place god knows how long ago. Time didn't seem to exist in this place or at least move the same way. Steven was STILL stuck sitting in the room.
He wondered… 'what now?' Seeing they hadn't let him go yet.
One of the men came back, covered in bruises, his arms, and his shoulder had a few bite-shaped bruises and scratches.
They were holding her somewhere nearby then. And just she was as or even more so angier than steven was.
The guard motioned him to follow. So he did.
"Remember our agreement" the voice, the same one from before taunts over the PA system. He rolled his eyes. Like he could forget. He was practically tortured into signing it.
He was lead into a hallway. Different marked doors all lined the walls. He didn't have time to read them as he was escorted away. And by escorted- he was shoved.
They didn't trust him and frankly the feeling was mutual.
The security was a bit overzealous in his opinion. Whatever else was behind those doors they did not want just anyone walking in. They all seemed to require special key cards each different than the last.
He knew what door was Carrie's.
Steven could feel her anger radiating past the thick door to the farthest right. It gave off the feeling of impending danger, like entering a room knowing fully well there was a feral animal on the other side, just waiting to tear into the first person who open it.
And lo and behold it had to be him. He hesitated for a moment before turning the door knob.
Carrie was hunched over. Her arms holding her bunched up legs. A low hiss escaped her lips.
Seeing her there gave him a startled feeling the moment his eyes met hers. Her gaze was intense, focused, and filled with fury. It made him feel like he just came face to face with a caged animal, ready to snap its jaw wildly, it was intimidating, even to him.
Even in her drugged state, she was on high alert.
"Hey Carebear,’ He greeted with a wide smile, opening his arms to her. He was relieved she was okay for the most part.
Carrie did not move, if anything Steven just insulted her by acting as though she were to embrace him. She was still VERY angry with him. Their last interaction wasn't very pleasant.
She had avoided him as two brains. And even after he had that horrid mouse brain removed she gave him the silent treatment. It was his fault mostly. He could be obvious at times. Especially whenever cheese was involved. It had hurt them both.
In return She had hurt his pride. And being the petty one at the moment he didn't apologize…he knew where she was so he didn't feel the need to look for her.
Why hadn’t he looked for her?
That was all she had wanted.
Carrie wanted to be seen by him, given acknowledgment that she existed to him.
It nearly cost him losing her again. Something he didn't want to experience for another round.
He bit his lip. How many times would she let him hurt her till she finally had enough and tore out his throat?
"We can go home. You're safe-"
“I’m not.” Her tone was like ice.
"They're not going to let me go.." She hissed. The room suddenly felt colder than it already was. He shivered. "they're NEVER going to leave me alone…"
He wondered if she knew about the contract..how she would react….
DEFINITELY would be clawing him to pulp.
It was these moments he'd remember how unstable and dangerous she could get when angered. He wasn't scared however. Worry and the feeling of wanting to comfort her was the strongest.
Slowly he reached out and hugged her.
Carrie looked at him, her eyes were still cold, but regardless, she accepted his embrace. A sign that she wasn't ticked off at him..at least not in the moment.
"Steven please don't-" a faint sob. "Don't let them take me away…they're going to hurt me again"
Her rage slowly melted into sorrow...beneath her ferocious mask was really just a broken woman. Wanting to be fixed and whole again. Her voice Quivering.
"No." Steven said firmly. "I won't let them harm you again."
".....you promise…?"
"I promise."
Steven felt her finally relax, succumbing to whatever drugs they gave her. Neither of them had any proper sleep the last few nights. He didn't feel like sleeping, his mind was elsewhere.
With a sigh, he gently wiped her tears away, wishing he could wipe all their problems away aswell.
The former villian scooped up his wife, Wordlessly passing by her tormentors. As much as he wanted to burn the place to the ground, he knew it would cause more harm than good. They'll get what they deserve later. For now he had more important things to worry about. And kids to check up on.

Okay hear me out
For SpiderTeen The Animated Series
Since Tobey is going to be the Doc Ock adjacent of the series
Dr. Boxlietner could be The Lizard adjacent of the series.
Here's a quick rundown:
After a terrifying tenure as the sinister Dr. Two-Brains, Dr. Steven Boxlietner is finally able to overpower and rid himself of the mouse brain once and for all... Or so he thought. The mouse brain wasn't just a force on the outside of his head. It was still inside his brain. Just laying dormant... Watching and waiting... Planning and scheming. But finally is able to subtly manipulate Boxlietner into creating a serum that he thinks could boost assisted healing... Only to find out far too late that the rat brain has come out at full force, leaving the poor doctor no room for control to meddle with his plans to make the humans suffer for shutting him out. Armed with strength, claws, sharpened teeth, a newfound ability to control other rats, and a blood thirsty attitude no cheese could satiate, he will stop at nothing to turn the world into rat monsters like him. No longer will he go by the humiliating name, Squeaky, that those foolish humans gave him. He will now be known as:
The Rat King

Maybe you can write a hurt/comfort? Like TB recalling his old life while Reader helps him out? Sorry I’m not too good with describing things.
(AN: I'VE ALWAYS WANTED AN EXCUSE TO WRITE SOMETHING LIKE THIS EEEEE!!!
Written in a second person POV so I can avoid using Y/N too much, also this can be interpreted as either a platonic or romantic relationship between TB and reader :))
---
You walked towards Dr Two-Brains' lab, you wanted to check on him as you haven't seen him all evening. As you approached the door, you heard...crying?It was slightly muffled due to the walls but you could hear it.You began to feel anxious and concerned. You knocked on the door. Dr Two-Brains didn't respond. You sighed. You began to slowly open the door, as you did the crying got slightly louder. The noise of sniffles and sobs could now be heard. You peered your head through the door.
"Dr Two-Brains..?" You say softly. No answer again, only soft sobs and sniffles.
You turn your head in the direction on where the sobs and sniffles were coming from. You find a Dr Two-Brains, who was sobbing on the ground, his back pressed into a corner whilst he curled in a ball, his head hiding in his knees yet you could still clearly hear the sobs that were coming out of him. You look beside him and see a picture frame on the ground, the glass smashed as if it was thrown on the ground. From what you could make out, it was a picture of Dr Two-Brains in the past...back when he was Steven. Dr Steven Boxlietner...but the face was scribbled out frantically with a pencil. It clearly didn't work that well as you could still make out the face. Your face began to contour into look of concern and worry for the mad scientist. You began to walk towards Dr Two-Brains, standing beside him.
"Doc?Are you okay?" You ask softly and reassuringly, you crouched down beside Dr Two-Brains.
Dr Two-Brains looked up at you reluctantly as his sobs began to die down, you could see his mouse-like eyes we're more red than usual and were puffy from all the crying. He let out a few choked sobs. He looked down at the ground.
"I'm...I'm..so sorry...I..didn't want this to happen...I don't...remember..I'm..." Dr Two-Brains paused for a moment. He lifted his hands up slightly, ever so slightly closer to his face. He looked like he was thinking deeply about what he was going to say and do. His sobs began to get louder again.
"I..I don't know who I am." He said in a quiet, croaked voice.
Dr Two Brainz suddenly began to break out in sobs again, his hands covering his eyes. Your eyes go wide with worry. With not many options on what to do, you shuffled closer to Dr Two-Brains. You then wrapped your arms around him comfortingly.
As soon as your arms wrapped around Dr Two-Brains, his sobs died down ever so slightly. He removed his hands from his eyes. He sniffles and wraps his arms around you, pulling you closer to him. He began to cry softly on your shoulder and he tightened his grip ever so slightly as he nuzzled his face into your shoulder, searching and looking for comfort and reassurance. You felt Dr Two-Brains squirm and wriggle in your arms whilst he looked for comfort. Once he was comfortable and stopped squirming, you leaned your head against his. You began to stroke his back, letting him sob into your shoulder whilst you gave him the comfort and reassurance he needed.
(AN: OMG I FINISHED THIS IN LIKE, AN HOUR OR LESS??OMG
Sorry if it's corny and a lil short and if Dr Two-Brains is acting outta character, it's 4am where I live and I haven't gotten any sleep so I'm pretty eepy but I really REALLY wanted to write this. But either way, I hope you enjoyed reading!!Requests are still open so feel free to send more Dr Two-Brains x reader requests if you want!! :3)

Addendum to this au where there’s actually been a longer line of superhero’s training the next in line and just kinda screwing each other up. I like mentorship stuff
Miss Power->Amazo Guy
Okay so in this version we start with Amazo Guy, who at the time is the main superhero of Fair City. He and Steven are NOT the same age in this au, Steven’s actually a kid who looks up to Amazo Guy! He’s a big fan
forgive me for the Amazo Guy slander </3 but he’s going to be kindof an asshole. Partially due to his own training and partially due to his ego never being checked he really only fights crime for the attention and glory, and he likes feeling like he’s the most powerful.
Amazo Guy’s mentor was Miss Power, who came to earth in her childhood with her family to escape a war. Her first impression of the earth people was when they ran her parents out of the planet out of fear, and she was taken in by a kind older woman who eventually passed on when Power grew up.
Miss Power decided to become a superhero in her teens, when she felt like she had to do something to cleanse the world she now lived in from all of it’s evil, still traumatized from losing her parents.
Miss Power found Amazo, a young wannabe hero when she was around her 20s, and basically taught him that to be a hero you have to be callous towards your enemies and look down on your citizens. She grew more and more disillusioned with earth as time went on and eventually abandoned him to try and take over for herself in a desperate attempt to “fix” everything. Calling him useless and saying that he’ll never be more powerful or loved then her, really just spitting out whatever insults she could think of. He eventually won against her and banished her for decades to another galaxy
What she said to him struck him hard however, and he based his whole career on proving her wrong. Destroying himself internally in the process.
When Miss Power finally makes it back to earth years later, she knows to not make the same mistake again, deciding that she needs to have any possible threats to her mission on her side. She is delighted to find that Amazo is gone and a Wordgirl, a new, impressionable child has taken his place
Amazo Guy -> Steven Boxlietner
Steven is a 13-year old boy genius when one of his experiments goes wrong and he’s given superpowers. Steven panics when this happens and quickly realizes he’s unable to control it, and accidentally starts destroying the city. Amazo of course goes to stop the chaos, and is surprised to find that instead of a malicious villain, it’s a scared kid who is clearly not in control of whatever he’s doing.
Amazo manages to catch him and help him calm down and takes Steven under his wing as his sidekick, and future hero in training, thinking that being seen as a wise mentor would do his image good as many people have started calling him plastic and selfish
Steven is excited at first to be a superhero, but quickly sees Amazo for his true colors as a paranoid, bitter man who wants Steven to do whatever he says. Steven’s basically a glorified intern, and whenever he messes up or gets distracted Amazo gets mad at him, and impresses upon him how important it is to be perfect. “If you’re not perfect they won’t love you. If you’re not perfect your enemies can take advantage of you.” Steven takes this to heart, as his image in the public eye slowly becomes more and more important to him
He takes this obsession with image into his adulthood and his villain years. Cue Steve McClean episode
Steven, still trying to do a good job as a hero, starts doing community service that Amazo was taught was beneath him, making Steven more beloved as a hero then Amazo is. This causes Amazo to panic, and he starts sending Steven into more and more dangerous battles alone
It gets to the point where one of the top villains, an inventor ironically, starts going after Steven and even takes his family hostage, saying that if Steven didn’t willingly give up his powers in this new machine they built, then he could say bye-bye to his family! Steven, in tears, agrees to these terms and begs for his family to be safe.
As he steps in the machine, wishing that he had the luxury of a secret identity, as the villain cackles manically. Steven sees the unmistakable outline of his mentor. Just standing there and watching, doing nothing. Steven feels an anger like he’s never felt before rise up in his gut while his powers are drained from his body.
Steven does his best to be on good terms with Amazo, not wanting to believe his mentor would really just abandon him like that, and does some mental gymnastics to start blaming the city instead. Mans started his joker arc “it’s all societies’ fault >:( dad would love me otherwise >:(( why did we have to be heroes anyways.” He writes Superheros and You: a Practical Guide to try and keep down everything he learned from being a hero.
Steven finds himself missing the attention and validation from being a hero, and missing Amazo Guy despite still feeling angry at him, and distracts himself with his projects hoping that one day he’ll invent something that will really make a difference in his life again.
Steven Boxlietner ->Wordgirl
One day Steven is in the woods doing his weird science man things when a tiny five-year-old child just like crashes into a tree next to him. He goes to check if she’s okay, and when she’s completely fine he asks how she managed to go that fast. She starts talking about how her best monkey friend told her she needs to practice flying if she’s gonna be a superhero like Amazo Guy, and Steven under his breath is like “Yeah I dunno if you wanna be one like him, ha” and the kid is all “:D why?”
Steven just shakes his head, and tells her she can be whatever she wants, assuming that it’s just some kid playing pretend until she actually starts flying out of excitement in front of him. He realizes that this is, in fact, a super-powered child. His blood runs cold as all of the pent up emotions he has towards Amazo and towards the concept of superheros all come flowing back
At first he thinks that it’s not his business and he should just leave it alone, but suddenly he realizes that he’s been chatting and walking (well, she’s floating) with this kid for like an hour in the woods and oops he got attached
He decides to try and hide her from Amazo, for now at least, and tells Becky about how he was actually a superhero too for a little while! To which Becky is like “WOW this is awesome!”
So Steven tells her where his little lab is and invites her to come by any time for superhero training, and to bring her monkey too! So now he’s got his own little superhero pupil and nothing could possibly go wrong
Eventually Amazo Guy has to leave earth, his home planet contacted him and they need him to help. Steven is upset and also really relieved about this. And without Amazo Guy actually there he starts to develop some genuine internal hatred for the man, and for the book Steven wrote that has his face plastered all over it. Steven ignores it because thats what we do with feelings on my tumblr blog
Steven gives WG lessons about being a good hero and helps her physically train the best he can without powers of his own. Steven never really liked how mean Amazo could be to the villains, but always kept quiet about it. So in a weird act of rebellion Steven makes sure Becky is aware that yes, villains are people too. He also makes sure she knows that, unfortunately, the view of the public is going to mean quite a lot to her inevitably, even if it doesn’t right now.
One day Becky mentions to Steven how she told her parents that she’s getting better at fighting and he just flips for a second, getting flashbacks to his final battle. He grabs her shoulders like “NO. Your family can not know. Your friends can not know. It will put you and them in horrible danger, hell i’m in danger just by training you, as few people need to know as possible. Understand?” And Becky is just terrified at the outburst and like “yes sir understood…”
Eventually Becky does debut as the newest Fair City hero, and the people are just too happy to finally have one after Amazo left. Steven is proud but starts getting worried that she might start getting a big head like Amazo had and accidentally starts leaving Becky a bit desperate for validation, which she overcompensates for with her ego ironically
All the while Steven has been obsessively indulging in his scientific curiosity still, and then the day comes that it goes too far. Enter Doctor Twobrains.
Doctor Twobrains vs Wordgirl
Steven doesn’t want to be a villain. He’s been on the hero side his whole life! And he definitely doesn’t want to hurt Wordgirl. At least, he thinks he doesn’t, his memories of her are not as clear as they were before for some reason, same goes with everyone he knows. However, as he looks at the original copy of Superhero’s and You a familiar anger boils inside him, he starts to think that maybe this won’t be so bad.
Wordgirl just deals with the new transformation best she can, not really processing that this is her mentor until the night after his first attack, when she lets herself cry. It’s mostly out of confusion and guilt, she blames herself and doesn’t really get why he’s not even trying to turn back, in her perspective he just stopped caring about her and abandoned her to be her enemy.
Over time Dtb makes friends in the villain league. Friends his own age for once, and even starts dating and discovers that he had absolutely been missing out on these kinds of human interactions his whole life. He had gone to college and he did the whole party animal thing but he has never put his social life before his various projects. He goes a little crazy and becomes THE social butterfly of the gang, dating around quite a lot. He starts healing a lot of the loneliness and desperation that had plagued him for so long, and within that starts realizing that there is someone that was really overdue with some kindness from him.
I love how as the show progresses it feels like she gets closer with a lot of the villains so thats canon here, as DTB starts finding himself he also starts trying to be good to his former student, to the point where she felt comfortable coming over again, even if he never intended on being a “good guy” again
Before that completes though, theres some other things that occurred.
Miss Power -> Wordgirl
Amazo guy’s former mentor returns. She sees that there’s a new young hero and wants to trick her into taking over the earth together, yadda yadda
Dtb has heard about Miss Power from Amazo and immediately doesn’t trust her, but he’s still bitter to Amazo so he doesn’t really tell WG anything, and trusts that she can make the right decision which ofc she does in the end
Not before Wordgirl takes some trauma from her time with crazy though! She’s haunted by how she treated everyone and she feels terrified of Miss Power even after she’s gone, not sure how much of her training was genuine and how much would actually be good to apply
Also seeing your unstable notdad and your abusive notmom arguing and feeling like you have to take a side even though both sides are objectively bad for you can take a toll
Becky takes a note from Steven’s journal and buries that experience deep in her psyche and hopes it doesn’t ever come out in any bad way
Wordgirl -> Kid Math
Kid Math comes to earth and Becky is freaking the fuck out the entire time, because if she ever learned anything from Steven it’s that you should NEVER GIVE AWAY YOUR SECRET IDENTITY, and Kid Math is having a really hard time learning that.
Kid Math struggling to process earth things generally frustrates Becky, and considering the fact that every mentor before her was a full adult who had done this for years she feels like she’s not living up to the standards set by the past because she struggles with being a teacher.
Kid Math already having a handle on his superpowers messes with Becky too, because it’s a different type of mentorship then she had. It’s not about training much here, it’s about teaching Rex’s mind to be prepared to be a superhero and to handle his hero duties well, which is something that Becky herself still struggles with
She kinda infantilizes Rex a bit and doesn’t really respect his intelligence the way she should, and he starts getting frustrated and starts feeling bad. He wants to impress her and he wants her to trust his hero instincts, but if she thinks that he’s not ready to take charge yet then he must not be working hard enough surely?
Becky feels like she should be teaching him about physical fighting too, but since he’s already got a handle on that she ends up taking a page from Miss Power’s book and going too hard on Rex. He’s even younger then her and it exhausts him quickly, to which she gets annoyed at. She takes any limitations, mental or physical, that he has as something that SHE did wrong.
One day Rex just stops in the middle of an exercise and he starts crying, and just yells at her that he can’t be enough for her, and he must not fit in the earth equation well enough to be a superhero, and he’ll never get the people to like him enough. Becky takes this as him rejecting her, she wants to comfort him but something in her doesn’t want to apologize and admit that she was wrong. She says fine and flies off, abandoning him.
She can’t help but feel really guilty and finds herself going to DTB’s lab. He’s confused but trying to be more sympathetic towards her, especially since he’s not doing an evil plan right now. He has no idea why she’s here but sees that she’s upset, and at some point she explodes on him. “Why did you leave!”
He’s taken aback by this and sits down, explaining all he can to her and apologizes. Through this, Becky realizes how she’s been treating Rex, and flies back to him. He looks at her like he’s expecting her to be upset but she just tackles him in a hug and says “I’m sorry. You’re doing perfect, I’m the one who was messing up.”
He forgives her and they make up, Rex is really happy now and says something corny like “You + Me = Best crimefighting team!” and Becky just smiles and agrees, “Yeah, we’re the best team”
The end OR IS IT
