Review of Dr. JmeeLab's Madeca Rejuvenating Calming Serum

Dr.JmeeLab is a Korean brand who's concept is to aim for high-performance cosmetics. Their Madeca Rejuvenating Calming Serum is a great product for sensitive skin and promoting healthier skin. This product is even used after dermatological procedures in Dermatological hospitals and aesthetic shops throughout Korea. Key ingredients include: 2,000ppm of madecassoside (skin healing, anti-aging, improves collagen production, anti-wrinkle, antioxidant, revitalizing), 5% of panthenol (penetrates deeply into the skin, hydrating, helps to infuse water into the cells, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, soothing) and aloe barbadensis leaf extract (anti-aging, moisturizing, lightens blemishes and reduces acne, healing, reduces scarring). This product retails for between $58-65 USD, you can get it here for $58.68 + shipping.

The serum comes a hard plastic bottle that's quite sturdy, it contains 30 ml (1.01 oz).

It contains a pump that controls the output of the serum quite well so you don't overdo it.

There's also a lock mechanism on the bottle.

While it does come out a little thick, it really feels weightless.

The serum has a smooth feel, similar to silicone but it's from the panthenol. It also has a light, almost sweet kind of scent.

It absorbs quickly and has an almost cooling feeling. It left my skin moisturized and it was soothing and didn't irritate my skin in the least.

Recommended use is to apply on clean skin. Smoothly pump and apply gently all over your face and in case of using it as a spot treatment, apply a thick layer to that area. After using, firstly, I think this is great for sensitive skin and dry skin. It provides a lot of moisture and doesn't irritate the skin. It really smooths out the area and absorbs quickly leaving my skin plump and healthy looking. The ingredients are very beneficial to healthy skin and I like the light, sweet scent. The pump lock isn't really that secure, so that might not be ideal for travel as it turns easily. I do think this serum is very expensive and you don't get much but for very problematic skin this could be a great option. Again, I recommend this for sensitive skin as well as dry skin. But anyone can use it.

What I like: I think the texture and feeling on my skin are very pleasant and I like the scent. The ingredients are very nice and the effect of the serum has been very moisturizing and soothing to my skin. This really helped my dull looking skin and plumped it up. The pump is nice, I definitely prefer them for all products almost. What I don't like: the price is quite high and you don't get much and the pump lock isn't secure and can turn easily.

Review of Dr. JmeeLab's Botanical Oil To Foam Cleanser

Dr.JmeeLab is a Korean brand who’s concept is to aim for high-performance cosmetics. Their Botanical Oil To Foam Cleanser is designed as a slightly acid transformer-type cleanser with 90% natural oil ingredient. It keeps your skin moisturized after cleansing. Key ingredients include olive fruit oil (moisturizing, improves skin health, anti-aging, nourishing), sunflower seed oil (moisturizing, rich in vitamin E, protects skin, anti-aging, soothing) and macadamia ternifolia seed oil (moisturizing, softening, rich in fatty acids, anti-inflammatory, non-comedogenic). This product retails for between $30-40 USD, you can get it here for $35.90 + free shipping.

The cleanser contains 200 ml (6.76 oz) and has a strong fragrance, almost similar to strong soap.

The container has a pump that can be turned to lock and unlock.

Look my really bad swatches lol, the top is the Everlasting Glimmer Veil in Televator by Kat Von D and the bottom is the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Miss Argentina by Kat Von D (in case you were curious).

The cleanser has a slightly orange tinge and feels similar to a cleansing oil.

After massaging it into the skin, add water and massage that in and then rinse off.

After rinsing and drying the skin, I found that it didn't quite remove everything. (The glimmer veil is going nowhere apparently lol).

Recommended use is to drop a certain amount of oil on dry skin and massage into the skin to dissolve makeup, dirt, and other impurities. Rinse thoroughly. After using, this cleanser has a pretty strong, soapy scent, so I do think that's a huge irritant. I didn't notice any irritation to my skin and I think it removes base makeup well. It also removes most lipstick and eyeshadow but it struggles on stronger formulas and it's kind of unpleasant to use around the eyes so I prefer to remove eye makeup with a makeup wipe. The ingredients are nice and natural and the texture is really pleasant, it's similar to a cleansing oil but slightly thicker. It starts to foam up once water is added and after it's rinsed off it didn't leave any residue and it didn't dry out to make my skin feel tight after drying my face. I can appreciate that there is a lock on the pump and it makes a nice secure clicking sound. I'd recommend this to people with really any skin type but the fragrance is a problem. This is safe for dry skin.

What I like: this cleanser is good for everyday makeup, it rinses off cleanly and leaves no residue and doesn't dry out my skin. The ingredients are natural and the texture is pleasant on the skin. This does feel very high quality and you don't need much to cleanse your face. I also love the packaging and how there is a lock. What I don't like: this does struggle on strong formulas of lipstick and it has a pretty strong soap fragrance. It's not nice to use around the eyes.
