You can also add before moisturizer and let absorb. This serum is great for skin that's a bit irritated or just needs a little TLC. The serum is like a creamy gel containing soothing ingredients, that coats and instantly soothes skin. It is specifically geared for sensitive and dry skin and it's free of artificial dyes and fragrance. I recently started using retinol again and my skin is peeling and suffering from some redness. Using this serum helps instantly cool and soothe my skin while leaving a semi-matte finish. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and plumped even with the peeling and dryness that comes from the retinol treatment. This works perfectly for the summer since I don't like dewy or glowy skincare when it's hot and humid. 💚Happy Sunday beauties!! Hope you all had an amazing weekend and you’re still staying safe & healthy. This post has been a long time coming. I was able to try the @drjmeelab 2 Step Facial Masks for a small trial fee through @0.8l_usa (a while ago). While I’m not a really big fan of sheet masks, I do really like that this has both face and eye masks. The smaller eye patches can be used under the eyes or on the smile lines, an added benefit. While it did make my face smooth and brighter, I haven’t been able to see any real long-term changes. With consistent use of this, maybe I would. I do also want to note that this package is probably one of the biggest I’ve seen, with 10 individual packets in each box; each packet containing a face mask and two eye patches. First of all, this is really cool and unique! Like.. it’s not a liquid formula! No problem of it leaking in the bag! Also, the pink capsules in the mist are camellia oil capsules and when you spray it on your face, the capsules burst and land on your skin, creating a nice protective layer to seal in the moisture. It’s not sticky compared to some other mists I’ve used and it’s definitely got a cooling effect since the jelly like texture allows for the most formula to stay cool~ I just wish the particles were smaller? My curiosity got the best of me when I saw this. A gel mist? How does that work? Turns out it works great! I absolutely adore this stuff. It's versatile, which is fantastic for budget skincare. You can use it as an essence, setting spray or refreshing mist throughout the day. It's perfect for summer since it's so light. You could even do a few layers of this and skip your face cream if you wanted. Key ingredients are camelia oil, 10 botanicals from Jeju Island and mineral-rich seawater. There are little capsules of camellia in the gel that form a thin moisture barrier when they're broken open. (They burst when you use the pump to spray the mist. Very cool stuff!) Because it's a gel and not a liquid spray, the mist absorbs and dries almost instantly. I've tried a handful of mists and liked them all but this knocks the others out of the water. I love that I can use it throughout the day without it messing up my makeup. And it's SO quenching As a nice bonus, the clean scent is pleasant and uplifting. My review: Clean and refreshing to the skin and a nice foamy texture. My skin felt nice and clean and so moisturized with a relaxing feel. I love this cleanser and the fresh smell lasts a while. It involves washing your face in two steps, first by using an⁣ oil-based cleanser, followed by a water-based cleanser. This has the potential to do both in one step. However, I found my skin was really dried⁣ out after using. It also has a strong citrus based scent which I like but this will not be great for those with scent sensitivities. I have normal to dry combo skin so while this product didn’t really work for me, I think those with oily skin will really benefit from it. A note of caution – not good for removing eye makeup – in fact, it irritated my eyes. When it comes to skincare, Korean products are the answer. It’s time to meet Dr. JmeeLab - the MOST fragrant Korean skincare product in the market.

Before I dive into reviewing each product, I want to talk about the brand first. I’m sure not a lot of people know about Dr.JmeeLab. I HIGHLY trust brands that use science as the basis of their skincare campaign and that’s probably why Dr.JmeeLab is worth your trust.

The brand is reliant on science. They make sure to create research papers about the skin, study oriental medicine, and include bioengineering as well. 

Dr. JmeeLab Proteo Ampoule

Many do not understand what ampoules are for and that’s understandable because many don’t want to consider it as part of their skincare routine. They’ll probably say that it’s unnecessary. 

If you want FASTER results, go for ampoules. Since they contain concentrated active ingredients, the serum provides great results for a short amount of time.

In term of packaging, I love the orange-blue combination. It’s a refreshing color palette. I love the aesthetics of the brand.

When I tried this brand’s ampoule, I was surprised. It was utterly fragrant to the point of smelling like a luxurious perfume brand. I was hooked with the scent. 

What I appreciate about the brand is that they care for their international consumers. Dr. JmeeLab boxes have English instructions while usual Korean brands don’t have that.

The bottle felt sturdy and the cap was secured tightly when I got the item out from the box. The drawings on the box can be seen around the bottle’s packaging.

I love how my skin IMMEDIATELY absorbed the ampoule. Most ampoules tend to be runny when applied on the face. This one did not.

Dr. JmeeLab’s ampoule dropper is customized to be bent. It was easy to apply the product and I did not have to raise my head up to keep the liquid on the face.

How to use: Apply after cleaning your face with a facial wash and toner. Make sure to pat the liquid to the skin in case you added too much.

Dr. JmeeLab Frozen Jelly And Capsule Mist

I’m a sucker for face mists so I appreciated that the brand had one. When I read the words ‘frozen jelly’, my initial reaction was ‘Wut?!’. I couldn’t comprehend a jelly being a mist. This is the first product I encountered to be as such.

English instructions are also provided in the box. Yay!

When I took the bottle out of the box, I was completely mesmerized by the formula. There were these pink dots located in the gel. When I sprayed it on the hand, the gel texture became liquid. No sticky feeling or whatsoever! 

In case you’re wondering, the floral scent was to die for. Dr. JmeeLab was definitely K I L L I N G it when they were coming up with these goodies. Once again, it smelled like a luxurious perfume brand.

Dr. JmeeLab Madeca Intensive Calming Gel

Ok, here’s an Emified skincare secret: I use calming gels to treat pimples. I only tried one brand so far (Dr. Jart) and I’m pretty excited to introduce my skin to some Dr. JmeeLab.

I apply calming gel over on active zits. This kind of products makes the irritated skin in control. The brand is recommending this for dry skin as well but I’m only limiting the usage for zit controls.

(Un)luckily, I have an active zit when this package arrived so I wanted to test the power of the brand.

I left it overnight and discovered that the once super red pimple has now dried up. I’m living for this product and I highly recommend it. I only apply a little and let the irritated portion of the skin absorb the substance.

Micro Needle Roller System

I got actually confused with this product. It wasn’t part of the Dr. JmeeLab set but this was included when I received the package. I have never resorted to roller products before so this was my first facial roller ever.

Apparently, there are numerous models and I got a MR25.

Instructions were provided although nothing much was said about on what it was for. I was utterly confused the entire time. 

Pro: When I used it, all of my white heads came out! I managed to remove them without resorting to derma. HAHA.

Con: I don’t know what the roller was for. Brand should have included benefits of its usage.

When you remove it from the box, the roller is sealed in plastic along with its container. You’ll need scissors to open up this bad boy.

I love that it has a neat container. The container itself was easy to use and open. You don’t have to break a nail when taking the roller out.

The packaging said that this roller has 540 micro-needles. I was actually scared to use it at first but it didn’t hurt at all unless you apply TOO MUCH pressure.

Dr. JmeeLab Wrinkle & White

I love sheet masks and I love how this brand is leveling up the sheet mask gaming. Dr. JmeeLab’s masks are a 2-step process.

Unlike the brand’s other products, this one has no English instructions at all. You can only get the gist of its usage through the visual representation at the back.

Apparently the first step is meant for the under eyes and/or laugh lines. The second step is for the entire face.

The packaging has a dotted line where you can rip the Step 1 away from the Step 2 container.

A box has a total of 10 sheets.

Step 1 - Wrinkles

The Step 1 process basically targets wrinkles. Since I don’t have wrinkles as of the time of writing, I just applied them for the sake of the cooling effect. The Step 1 reminded me of the time I used the Black Gold mask early this year. The mask is gel-like and thick, giving me a luxurious vibe.

Step 2 - Whitening

I actually thought this was a charcoal mask but it wasn’t. This premium full face mask promises to provide a dead skin cell care. I love that the sheet was sturdy unlike the other Korean sheet masks. It sticked to my skin despite my constant movement.

Overall, I highly recommend the Dr. JmeeLab Skin Set. Every single product was innovative and highly worth recommending to those who are suffering from acne problems that desire instant results.

I love that I can treat two areas; the Smile zone and the whole face at the same time. 🧡 Details: Step 1: The “Smile Zone” patches are worn on the sides of the mouth, and help deeply moisturize this area. The material is made of cellulose that comes from coconuts 🥥 and acts as a second skin. These patches can also be worn under the eyes. The patches are super thin, and feel silky smooth on my skin.
