The sun shone down upon the street, making the red gems that decorated the area sparkle lustrously beneath the light.

Today, William and I were out once more in search of leads that would help bring him home…

We'd been to Saphinia to broaden the scope of our investigations, and now, our next stop was none other than Gartina.

The thought clamored in my head as I walked the city for a while. Until…

??: Ow! Stop it! Wait, nooo- don't stop~!!!

I heard something that sounded vaguely like a scream as I passed by a jewelry store.

Unable to help my curiosity, I poked my head into the store, only to stop short. My eyes widened at the sight.

There was a red-haired man crouched on all fours on the ground in the middle of the shop.

(That's…)

And the man that had his foot on him had an ever so familiar poker face… It was none other than William, himself. 

Ran: …William-san!?

William: You are neglecting your duties. There are still countless souls out there waiting to be collected. And yet, why are you here, fooling around?

Not noticing me, William continued mercilessly trampling the red-haired man.

(Should I… step in…?)

However, it appeared that I was worried for nothing as a blush adorned the red-haired man’s cheeks.

??: Ahhh, that gaze that's colder than an iceberg, and an attack that's way more ruthless than a dream eater…!

??: Yes! This is great! My body is burning up!!!

William: …

The sound of William kicking the red-haired man echoed throughout the store.

Unable to cut in or intervene, I simply stood there, staring at them in a daze.

And soon enough…

William: You.

William looked up from the man on the ground who'd passed out with a happy look on his face.

I reflexively straightened up as he addressed me.

William: What are you looking at? Is the investigation proceeding smoothly?

Ran: Err, is… is that guy…

I looked at the red-haired man on the ground. William cast another terrifyingly icy glare at him.

William: He's just a worthless dispatch agent who cannot even do his job right.   Ran: Is he… alright?

Fearing that he might retaliate, I voiced my question rather meekly. His glasses glinted sharply in the light.

William: No mercy will be shown to those who violate the rules. I must return to my world as soon as possible, for I have souls to collect.

He responded calmly, pushing the bridge of his glasses up once more.

(I feel a little bad for the guy…)

Just as I looked back up at William who was already briskly walking away from the scene…

??: Wait a minute, Will!

The red-haired man suddenly raised his head, glaring at me with a terrifyingly venomous expression.

??: Who IS this WOMAN!? You already have me, yet you… How crue-

Yet, William had already stomped down hard on the back of his head once more before he could even finish his sentence.

??: Urk-!!!

Ran: Oh…

The red-haired man’s head had hit the ground so hard that it was half-buried in the tiles.

However, William seemed unfazed by the fact as he turned to me with an air of utter calmness.

William: You've just wasted 3 minutes and 51 seconds.   Ran: Right… I'll get back to investigating.

I'd somehow managed to form words despite the slight fear taking shape within me.

William: Good grief. If this carries on, I won't be able to get off work on time today either.

He breathed a small sigh before curtly leaving the shop.

I glanced at the red-haired man on the floor. He looked blissed out…

(Just what is their relationship with each other…?)

Although slightly reluctant to do so, I quickly sprinted after the back of William's straight and dignified figure…

2017 Dreamin’ MoNTUE 序言Preface

MoNTUE北師美術館

美術館作為承載各種藝術內涵的場域，是否還能有更多的可能？北師美術館自成立以來，各種藝術能量在美術館場域中匯聚與激盪，創造出美術館與觀眾間多元的想像���對話。

藝術家跳脫現存藝術類型的框架，自由地運用各種媒材創作，持續實驗與探索。北師美術館為鼓勵創作者，於2015年起推動「作夢計畫Dreamin’ MoNTUE」，整合美術館資源與專業，給予創作者充分發揮的舞台。

此次「2017作夢計畫Dreamin’ MoNTUE」展出葉名樺《一個人的美術館－寂靜敲門》與陳彥斌《嗨歌三百首masingkiay》，兩位表演藝術家在各自一個月的展期內，隨著時間推移，創造出新的空間感官經驗與開放的參與模式，使「展覽」與「表演」原本類屬不同空間的機能合而為一。藝術家、藝術創作、觀眾於美術館場域中消解時間象限，共同創造一場有機的展覽。

Art museum: a place that houses a kaleidoscope of artistic expressions. But is that all it is? Since its inception, the Museum of National Taipei University of Education (MoNTUE) has been breaking boundaries by coalescing artistic energies from diverse backgrounds in the creation of imaginative dialogues between art and the people.

True artists are always seeking ways to break with existing conventions and play with innovative and creative mediums through experimentation and exploration. In view of encouraging artists to dream outside the box, the MoNTUE launched the Dreamin’ MoNTUE initiative in 2015, consolidating resources and professional opportunities to present a stage for artists to create art to their hearts’ content.

The 2017 Dreamin’ MoNTUE exhibition features Ming-Hwa YEH’s The Serene Gallery and Fangas Nayaw’s masingkiay. These two performing artists will each, in their one-month long exhibition period, move with the time to create a new sensory experience that marries “exhibition” and “performance”, two seemingly different forms of art belonging to divergent spatial realms. The open engagement approach merges the two functions into one space. Artists, artworks, visitors are no longer bound by time in the museum. Together, they give birth to an organic exhibition.

《嗨歌三百首masingkiay》由導演陳彥斌所策劃，此次展演實踐跳脫原住民族的符號、圖騰、裝飾、樂舞、儀式等既定印象，這次我們在美術館重新打造一個聚會所，將邀請觀眾進入原住民族的社交現場。來到這個家，透過原住民日常飲食，人於場域中相互對話、分享交織，重新經驗原住民族的多元面貌，以及於美術館中發生新的行為。

masingkiay（阿美語，意為瘋癲地、神經的）。

你將是我們的客人，透過作客的行爲，我們與你認識、交流並分享。於有限的時間裡，共同經營這段或長或短的關係，在你和我身上、在美術館的空間中，留下生活軌跡。

『我們，曾經瘋狂地，一起，在這裡。』

This present performance departs from the stereotypical indigenous symbols, totems, decorative accessories, music and dance, and rituals. We want to re-create an authentic aboriginal get-together in the museum, where people are welcome to visit our "home" to wine and dine with us—enjoy Taiwan Beer, Paolyta-B alcoholic energy drink, rice wine, and of course, our special aboriginal cocktails, and strike up a good conversation over some peanuts, glutinous rice (hakhak), pickled pork (siraw), and betel nuts ('icep).

What else can we feel from "people"?

masingkiay (Amis, meaning mad, neurotic).

You will be our guests. As a guest, we want to get to know you through conversations and sharing. During a limited period of time, whether long or short, you and I will together leave a trace of life inside the museum.
