LISA 2024 Zine Applications Open!

It's that time of the year again! Applications are open for our third annual LISA Zine! Be it art, music, fic, or fangames, anyone is allowed to participate regardless of skill level.

This year's zine theme is still pending, but we allow themed and non-themed contributions each year—so whether you already have an idea in mind or need some inspiration for your amazing piece, look no further!

For those not in the know, we're a group of creatives who love the LISA franchise and love admitting new members before each event. Last year's annual zine was an immersive website experience called Olathe 199X and had a pre-flash theme. You can view it here.

We organise mostly through discord, but if large groups of people are overwhelming to you, you're also welcome to participate to the zine exclusively through email, plus you'll still be credited in the Zine in the same way. You can learn more on our FAQ page.

11:06 taking a short break. i still cant believe this shit is real even though i'd been in the fanon boiler for less than a year. also transphobic deltarune fans found dead by suicide after seeing kris' outfit in the cooking game. their fit was so cool i lost like 12 times out of distraction and DEFINITELY not a skillet issue. fat butch tenna will always live in my heart but ive warmed up to the twink. one more thing before locking back in: 199X/200X setting truthers are DEAD considering the way tv keeps getting talked about🎉

12:51 pm things got kinda sloggy from the puzzle i whined about above but picked up during the rouxls fight. despite what you'd think of a character like him rouxls makes the game like 10% funnier. also atp lanino and elnina as a strong toriel/asgore parallel would be Weird so i hope that isn't a hill the fandom is going to die on

1:16 i made the mistake of glancing at reddit to see whether this chapter even has a secret boss and got a potential spoiler. logging back on now

2:19 been procrastinating playing again because im pretty sure ive progressed too far for the secret boss and my other saves aren't great.

I'M GOING TO HAVE TO START FROM THE BEGINNING

11:07 so i started from the top, scraped together enough points to buy the s, and explored that room. ofc i was then brought to that game room thing and it checked enough secret boss flags for me to keep going. i just played the minigame intuitively; it roughly went from "hmm maybe toby wanted to play jrpg violence straight for one small second?" > "ohhh god no mercy route parallels galore. maybe this is a half fakeout where it's not what it seems but is still serious ie kris at the end of ch1?" > end the game with finding the ice thingy > "oh this is like the ol speculation about us playing dragon blazers in universe. wonder where this is headed :)" > talk to the british plugboy and Realize > go back into the game room to see if i missed anything > check kris in the menu > Fully Realize

so that's where i am as of typing this. i haven't saved yet. i'm torn on saving to my designated weird route slot and then exiting/reloading my untouched pacifist save or stupidly deciding this in fact has no real negative consequences and google whether this is secret boss-related. i'm gonna look around just a little more before deciding but im leaning towards option one.

checked the room and nothing special really happened. i saved over my wr slot. anyway it's too late to think too hard about my next move in this game. unless the boredom gets the better of me im going to bed now. 11:27 pm

6/5 2:30 pm so the thing about jumping off the face of the internet was an exaggeration; i'm in and have been regularly checking a deltarune watch party server. with the help of someone in there i figured out i was right the first time about it just being a secret boss thing + how to fully trigger it all. i also realized i turned my ch3 weird route slot into a pacifist save with a partly completed sidequest on it so it's time to copy and then erase. i also accidentally exposed myself to a spoiler juicy yet vague enough to further intrigue me. more on that later.

3:17 I NEED TO RESET A THIRD FUCKING TIME. WHY DID I SAVE RIGHT THEN.

Fino alla settimana scorsa avevo l'edizione precedente da edicola della Planet. Adesso è sparita casualmente per questa nuova. 🤣

Volevo sapere se fosse possibile fare degli altri confronti tra le due edizioni cioè le traduzioni, in futuro.

Poi una domanda: nel primo numero quando Ken arriva davanti a Shin pronuncia la parola "ossessione". Mi pare che nell'anime venga detto "ambizione".

Sicuramente è più aderente all'originale "ossessione", ma per un personaggio come Ken non è forse troppo forte come parola?

Per la questione dei confronti sui dialoghi sto evitando per una questione di tempo, ma ti posso assicurare che quelli della Extreme sono migliori rispetto a tutte le precedenti edizioni. Occasionalmente pubblicherò qualche post in merito sul gruppo Facebook.

Il termine "Ossessione", per quanto forte e dalla connotazione anche negativa, in realtà è proprio identico al giapponese, perché Kenshiro ha vissuto fino a quel momento con l'ossessione di riprendersi Julia e vendicarsi su Shin. È stata quella fiamma a farlo andare avanti.

Was born in North Ireland and spent the first 8 years of his life in The Republic of Ireland. Currently lives with his maternal aunt and uncle in the good ol' you ess of ayy.

...Why he lives in The States now? ...Not important.

Incredibly prone to mood swings and is the most likely to kill someone solely for his own amusement. A self-proclaimed chaotic neutral, Grey's morals are that he has none. He is not motivated by what's right. He is solely motivated by food, sleep, and whatever will make Caz shut up.

Doesn't like women. Not in a misogynistic way. Probably. Ri is the only friend he's ever had who's a girl, and he hates Kat an abnormal amount.

Has effectively adopted Ri as his younger sister and she's the only person he's consistently nice too.

Voice can be described as; sounding like an old-timey gold prospector from the yukon combined with an 18th century pirate.

Grey's (alleged) best friend. Fancies himself a born leader, when he couldn't lead a horse dying of dehydration to water.

His ego is the size of the moon Ganymede, and everyone recognizes how massively out of proportion it is except for him.

Doesn't like much besides knives and orange creamsicles. Takes both of his friends for granted, but he truly loves them deep down. He just has a really hard time showing it.

Hates his family. Usually ends up sleeping over with Grey just to avoid talking to his mom and sisters.

Has a tendency to point out double negatives, despite how horrible his own grammar is.

The dumbest man alive.

Ri has trouble talking to other girls, well... She has trouble talking to most people. She's the new kid on the block which never helps. Parents were never actually together and met while her father was on a business trip.

Lived in Manitoba for most of her life, only moving in with her dad after her mother was killed in a work accident.

A shut-in. She only became friends with Grey and Caz because they kept throwing rocks at her window. Tends to be a straight man around the boys, not because she's normal, but because they're so nuts and co-dependent that they make her look average by comparison.

An aspiring paranormal investigator, she blames most things that don't have an obvious explanation on ghosts.

She gains crushes very quickly, but due to her shyness and fear of girls, she doesn't ever talk to her-so-called "crushes."

The youngest person to ever get an ulcer.

An incredibly normal girl who definitely isn't a witch. Her dad's side of the family are totally not all witches and her parental grandmother is her father's mother, and not his great, great, great, great, great, great grandmother. She's so normal.

Kat has never had a real friend before. She's naïve, timid, and has been so coddled by her mother and father that she barely knows how to stand on her own two feet.

Something of a people pleaser, she'll do whatever her grandmother tells her to now matter how much she doesn't want to do it. This results in her attempts to curse er- "mess with" the GRaZi trio, pitiful at best.

Has a complex about her hands. Refusing to let anyone not related to her see them.

Likes romance and fantasy novels and often daydreams about "fixing" bad boys and bad boy-adjacent people. This may or may not have resulted in her having a very one-sided, and very incompatible crush on Grey.
