He looks... nice in this picture. Doesn't he? Well, no, not nice, but- acceptable? Happy?

It was taken by Mariquita, Mari, and oddly enough he wants to smile just thinking of the moment it captured. Today, thanks to her, he realized he'd never taken the time to visit the Empire State building since he's lived here. She insisted on taking the photo as a memento of the occasion.

He decides to post it. A decision that makes him turn red up to his ears. He's not sure just what it is that pushes him to hit the gleaming, cerulean "Post" button, but he does.

It takes two seconds for the weight of his actions to hit him. His face blooms red, and he throws his phone to the couch cushion beside him. Idiot! He doesn't even know how to delete a post!

But- he could figure it out...?

He drags his long, cold fingers down his face, to compose himself. And then he reaches for his phone again, delicately lifting it from its impact crater in the cushion.

Oh, no. There's already people interacting with it. Seeing him. He doesn't even know how to navigate this all- how to stop them- it's just a towering list of weird, scary usernames who are "liking" and "reblogging", and "commenting". 

He's at the edge of his wits when he finds a familiar landmark. no-cap-ricorn, "Cutest goat this side of the bug apple".  He knows them.

Does he... look great? Capricorn, known fashion student- and well, he, he thinks they are rather strong on the front of "looking great"- has to know what they're talking about. Surely... They aren't just saying that, are they...? He tries to picture them being sarcastic, or sassy.. but he just can't see it.

Maybe this Tumblr thing isn't so bad after all.

My stomach is twisted with butterflies, so excited about meeting my friend today. I need to get into the shower, but I keep procrastinating. There's stuff I can't pack until after I shower (eg toiletries), so I really shouldn't dawdle.

But there's also no rush. If I don't open the library right at 1pm, big deal. LL-J only gets there 30 mins after I do. And my friend said they won't get into town until like 3pm. ("I don't want to be underfoot," they said. As if that could happen; it's so quiet there.)

See, this is that ADHD thing where if you have a small thing scheduled, your whole day is tied up in anticipation. Except this is also a practical thing to fret over, to be excited over.

Please know that I will be flapping my hands in excitement, once my heart comes down from my throat.
