And at this point he probably thinks I’m the biggest jerk on the planet.” “I mean, probably,” Liam mumbles. Niall throws a pen at Liam’s face in Harry’s defense. - Or, the one where Louis Tomlinson is an elementary school teacher that has visited the hospital twice a week for the past two months, and is hopelessly out of Harry’s league; Harry Styles is a child psychologist who can’t bring muster up the courage to introduce himself to the biggest crush he’s ever had; and somehow they work together to create the best Christmas party the hospital’s ever seen.

Y'all simply need to stop what you're doing (scrolling tumblr, I do assume) and read this fic. It's gold all the way through. It's awkward encounters and misunderstandings and more misunderstandings and then maybe some more misunderstandings, but in that way where HARRY is terribly stressed about it all, but you as the reader are not stressed in the slightest bit. No, you get to read and laugh and say ""oh no that's adorable they're adorable"". Plus, there's Harry in an ugly Christmas sweater. What more could you want?

☕️ Pairing Suggestion: Pair this fic with ALL the random Christmas cookies that are on the break room table at work. They're mismatched and covered in red and green sprinkles but they're just what you need.

An Alpha For Christmas | IceQueenRia Harry/Louis | 28k

At age 30, Harry Styles is embarrassed to admit he’s still a single Omega and he knows his family are worried about him being alone. With the Christmas holidays coming up, Harry’s sister makes a comment about how he should ask Santa for an Alpha for Christmas. “Maybe I’ve already got one,” he retorted. He intended it to be a joke, but Gemma took him seriously and excitedly told everyone that Harry FINALLY has a boyfriend so now his entire family expects to meet his Alpha over the holidays. There isn’t enough time for Harry to meet someone for real and he certainly can’t afford to hire an Alpha. So Harry swallows his pride and asks the Alpha who recently moved in 2 doors down to join him and his family for Christmas.

A longer fic for today's fic rec! This one's the perfect length for reading in the evening and finishing while you're all cozy in bed. The Christmas fake dating! The hot alpha neighbor! The insecure omega Harry who really just needs some proper love! You'll love this fic.

The curly haired man sniffles again, but the tears seemed to have stopped for now at least. “I was supposed to spend Christmas Eve with my boyfriend, that is until we got into a horrible fight.” He seems to wince at his own words. “I guess I should start getting used to calling him my ex-boyfriend. But anyways, we just couldn’t stay there any longer. Kevin and I had to get out.” Louis blinks before looking around the empty tube car confusedly. “Kevin?” The man nods and then squeezes a little tighter to the little potted plant clutched in his arms. “Kevin is a Christmas Cactus, but he doesn’t bloom.” He quickly adds. “Which is completely fine, because I love him just as he is.” Louis’ not sure what most of that means. All he does know is that he needs to make sure this strange, beautiful creature is never sad again. (Or the one where two broken people meet in an empty tube car on Christmas Eve. Can they find a way to heal each other?)

This fic is SHORT and it's PRECIOUS and it will make you CARE ABOUT A CHRISTMAS CACTUS YOU'VE ONLY JUST MET. You should definitely read it. And appreciate the Christmas cactus.
