Transformer Headcanon that Soundwave wears a mask and visor because of an irrational fear of his own face. The sight of it gives him horrific panic attacks and triggers his fight, flight, or freeze reflex.
Genuinely have no idea where the idea came from. I was thinking about irrational fears because of the tiktok sound about fears and I thought about how some people are scared of mirrors and somehow it translated to being scared of ones own face.
It could also apply to other characters that wear both masks and visors like cosmos or vortex or first aid.
But back to Soundwave, its a fear that stems from trauma. Being forced at a young age to fight in the pits and the only time he could ever see himself was before his next fight. So over time, seeing his own face became correlated with the next trial of life and death. Everytime he saw himself he knew that he would either die or just barely survive. It got so bad that he would bolt from who ever was getting him ready and couldnt be calmed down by normal means.
But when he started wearing a mask, he saw the mask in his reflection instead of his face so he panicked less and didnt immediately seize up with fear. The mask became a staple and the one thing that could keep him grounded and calm. The weight of it comforted him and helped him keep his focus on fighting and not being torn to shred by his opponent.
Or something idk its just a silly thought that makes no sense

10 Mind-Blowing Facts About Cleaning Solutions You Didn’t Know (Until Now!)
Tumblr media
Keeping a clean space is more than just a chore—it’s a science, an art, and a serious game-changer for health, productivity, and mental clarity. Whether you’re scrubbing down after a wild birthday bash or ensuring your office sparkles before Monday morning, cleaning solutions play a vital role in making the magic happen.
And guess what? Most people are totally unaware of the wild, weird, and wonderful truths about the stuff in their spray bottles. Let’s dive into 10 jaw-dropping cleaning facts you’ll wish you knew sooner—and how the experts at M&J Cleaning Solutions put this knowledge into action every day.
1. Not All Germs Are Bad—But Cleaning Still Matters
Believe it or not, your body needs some microbes to thrive. But don’t get too cozy with grime. Proper cleaning removes harmful pathogens that lead to illnesses while still allowing your immune system to function naturally.
✅ At M&J Cleaning Solutions, our cleaning approach balances thorough sanitation with eco-safe products.
2. Vinegar Isn’t a One-Size-Fits-All Miracle Cleaner
People swear by vinegar, but it can damage natural stone, hardwood floors, and rubber gaskets. Professional cleaning solutions are pH-balanced and targeted for specific surfaces.
🧽 Our commercial cleaning services use certified-safe products tailored for every space.
3. The “Lemon Fresh” Scent Isn’t Just for Smell
Citrus oils in cleaning agents actually help cut through grease and grime. It’s not just a pleasant scent—it's serious science.
🌿 Learn how our after-party cleanups make use of industry-leading degreasers for post-event disasters.
4. A Dirty Desk Can Host More Germs Than a Toilet Seat
Yes, you read that right. Office desks can harbor 400x more bacteria than your average toilet seat. Think about that next time you eat lunch at your computer.
💼 Our janitorial services target high-touch areas to reduce workplace illness.
5. Disinfecting and Cleaning Are Not the Same Thing
Cleaning removes dirt and grime. Disinfecting kills germs. The best cleaning routines involve both steps, not just one.
📅 That’s why M&J offers scheduled cleaning plans—daily, weekly, or monthly—so nothing is missed.
6. Most Cleaning Products Have a “Dwell Time”
Spray and wipe? Nope. Many disinfectants need to sit on a surface for several minutes to be effective. Rushing the process means bacteria survive.
⏳ Our trained team knows exactly how long to let each solution work—no guesswork involved.
7. The Air You Breathe Is Dirtier Than You Think
Dust isn’t just an eyesore—it’s full of allergens, dead skin cells, and pollutants. Regular cleaning improves indoor air quality, especially in busy offices.
🏢 Let M&J help you breathe easier in your office building or rental.
8. Cross-Contamination Is a Major Cleaning Fail
Using the same rag for your kitchen counter and toilet? Big mistake. Professional cleaners use color-coded cloths and strict protocols to avoid contamination.
🧼 Our crew follows detailed checklists and sanitation rules that keep homes and businesses safe.
9. Clean Spaces Boost Mental Clarity by Up to 25%
Studies show that tidy environments improve focus, reduce anxiety, and increase happiness. That’s right—cleaning is self-care.

Tips for Cleaning and Settling into Your New Home After a Move
Tumblr media
Moving to a new home is an exciting milestone, but settling in is challenging too. A thorough cleaning is one of the best ways to feel at home quickly. Post-move cleaning is important as it removes any dirt left by previous occupants, ensuring that every corner of your new home is spotless. It also helps you to identify any maintenance issues that might need attention. A deep clean helps to eliminate potential allergens and create a healthy living environment. In this article, we will provide deep cleaning strategies to help you settle faster in your new space.
Room-by-Room Cleaning Strategies
Different areas of the home require different cleaning strategies. Here are some detailed tips:
Revitalize Your Kitchen
Kitchen is the first important space you will clean, as we prepare food here. First start cleaning the appliances such as the microwave, refrigerator, etc. Check out for built-in appliances and make sure they are in working condition. Take extra time to sanitize this area to prevent the spread of germs. You can use a hygiene surface cleaner to clean the kitchen fully.
Freshen up Bathrooms
Bathrooms are the next critical area to focus on. Disinfect and clean all surfaces such as the bathtub, sink and toilet. Make use of mildew remover for tiles and shower areas. Scrub the floor tiles and clean the mirror. Replace shower liners and curtains for a fresh start. Check out for any plumbing issues such as drips or leaks, if any.
Create Comfort in Living areas and Bedroom
Dust all surfaces that include window sills, shelves, and baseboards. Clean the carpets and rugs using a vacuum cleaner and mop the tiled floors. In bedrooms, clean the wardrobe before unpacking your clothes. Vacuum mattresses and upholstered furniture to remove dust and allergens. Organize maximum space and promote a calm atmosphere.
Spruce Up Hallway Space
Hallways can accumulate dust and dirt, especially when moving. A clean hallway sets a welcoming tone for your home, thus sweep and mop these areas. Add a doormat at the entrance of the house, it reduces the amount of dust entering the home. Arrange the shoe rack space tidy and functional. Don't forget to pay attention to light switches and door handles. A well-maintained entrance gives a positive impression on guests.
Pest Control for Your Home
Once you are done with your home cleaning, make sure your family is safe from any pest and harmful flies. Make sure to spray pest killers to kill all the pests or hire a pest control specialist to do it for you. Once the house is clean and free from pests, you can start unpacking and rearranging your items from movers and packers. Now, you can sit back and relax at a new place with your loved ones.
Deep cleaning your new home before moving in is an essential step to ensure a clean and healthy living environment. By following these step-by-step instructions, you can efficiently deep clean every corner of your home, leaving it fresh, welcoming, and ready for your personal touch.
Remember to take your time, prioritize each area, and use suitable cleaning supplies to achieve the best results. Enjoy the process and get ready to settle into your sparkling clean new home!

FFXIV: The Color of Home
A/N: *maniacal laughter* Managed to finish just before 5.4 like I wanted to! A bit of fluff before SE has us screaming tomorrow.
RATING: T WORD COUNT: 2598 WARNINGS: Spoilers for Shadowbringers through the end of Patch 5.3: Reflections in Crystal Cross-posted to AO3
Aymeric returns later than intended one night, exhausted and worn from a long day politicking...and something is different about Synnove. Not bad, or wrong, just...different.
No doubt she'll tease him for his poor observation skills later. And the change, once he realizes what it is, is truly lovely.
----
Even with Limsa Lominsa and the western half of Vylbrand a mere bell behind Ishgard, dusk had already fully fallen by the time Aymeric teleported in front of the La Noscea house’s garden gate. He paused as he landed, legs unsteady not so much from aetherial travel as it was from sheer exhaustion. Up since before dawn after a restless night, to try and at least fit in some exercise before meetings had controlled the rest of his day, and not more to eat than a pastry with his breakfast tea and a single sandwich for lunch. He counted himself lucky, at least, that his last meeting of the day had only gone two bells beyond the usual Ishgardian dinner hour; a record, truly, especially for Count Dzemael on a tear.
Hells take that man.
Aymeric closed the gate behind him as he entered the yard, and trudged through the garden and around the house for the kitchen door. The lights on the ground floor were on, a cheery yellow in the darkening gloom, which meant Synnove was still awake, and hopefully nearly done with preparing dinner after her own long day at the Gate. Today was supposed to have been his turn to cook, and thankfully Synnove had merely chuckled at him and told him not to worry when he had claimed a ten-minute break and called her on the linkpearl.
The windows in the kitchen were thrown open, despite the bite of chill beginning to linger in the air; winter came late to Vylbrand. It also let the smell of dinner spill into the yard: buffalo stew, gently spiced for flavor rather than heat, and fresh baked bread. His stomach growled and the reminder of how long ago lunch had been had him picking up his pace until he could press down on the handle of the door, swing it open, and step inside.
The kitchen was pleasantly warm, the smell of bubbling stew even stronger, and Aymeric took a deep, appreciative breath as he shut the door and shrugged off his coat. Norlaise must have said something to Synnove long before he had been able to call her; a stew like this normally took hours of slow cooking to reach such perfection. A niggle of guilt hissed at the back of his mind, but he acknowledged and dismissed it; he would be able to return the favor for Synnove soon enough, after all.
The lady of the house was currently bent over, fetching the bread from the oven, and even as sluggish as he felt, he still shamelessly indulged in the sight of her canvas shorts pulled taut over the luscious curve of her buttocks before she stood back up. The tray with two beautifully crusty loaves was set aside, and Synnove turned on her heel with a grin as she pulled off her oven mitts. “Welcome home, Aymeric!” she said. “A little birdie told me it’s been a long day for you.”
“I believe I know the birdie’s name,” Aymeric laughed. “And it’s good to be home. The stew smells wonderful.”
“Just needs a few more minutes for the last of the vegetables to finish cooking,” his lady said, turning back to the stove and reaching for a wooden spoon to give the contents of her giant pot a careful stir.
Aymeric frowned slightly as she did so, tilting his head in puzzlement and setting his hands on his hips. There was…something different about her. Something he knew he should have caught whatever it was as soon as he had seen her, but Fury take him, his mind was refusing to work.
Synnove turned around once more and frowned herself as she took in his expression. “What’s wrong, love?”
There was no use lying. “Is something different with you?”
The frown turned into a playful smirk, amusement sparking in her eyes. “Darling, do I need to be a hypocrite?” she said, leaning back against the counter and crossing her arms, one eyebrow ticking upward.
“Considering how often I’m one regarding your own sleep and work habits, ‘tis only fair.”
Synnove laughed, his favorite sound in all the world, and said, “You work too long and too hard sometimes, my Aymeric. But, yes, I’ll grant you this: there is something different. Can you tell me what it is?” Her tone was light and lilting and dripping with mischief.
Aymeric was running off too much coffee and tea and not enough sleep; he knew his cognitive functioning was next to gone, it being why Norlaise had dragged him out of the office by his ear like he was one of her recalcitrant grandchildren as soon as Count Dzemael had finished darkening the halls of Parliament. He was at least forgiven for not immediately catching on to what was off about Synnove, at least, with a cheery dare like that.
She grinned a little wider at his continued confusion.
Her eyes were still as green as fine emeralds. Her skin was still healthy-golden bronze as it should always be, and not like the wan brown from stress and exhaustion when she had first returned from the First. Her favorite gloss stained her lips a blushing pink, slightly faded from day-long wear.
He dropped his gaze, still puzzled. Her shirt—his, once upon a time—was solid blue flannel, the color faded from true to powder over the years from repeated washings, the fabric sinfully soft, and the sleeves rolled to her elbows and top few buttons undone. Her simple sapphire pendant necklace, one of his gifts to her their first Starlight, glinted in the lamplight, the pendant hanging just below the hollow of her collarbones, and the bracelet upon which each of the carbuncles’ summoning foci was threaded still hung from her left wrist.
His gaze dropped further, his brow furrowing, and he heard his lady giggle as he took in the rest of her appearance. No obvious new additions to the arcanima tattoos, at least the ones visible on her forearms and the backs of her hands. Her nail lacquer was still green from the last time she had applied it, though it was beginning to chip in various spots from work and chores and hand-washing. She had on a pair of those awful, wonderful canvas shorts that were barely decent even by Lominsan standards, and showed off almost every mouthwatering ilm of her long, gorgeous legs. Her house shoes were the old, worn pair with embroidered carbuncles, one of Rereha’s—and Angharad’s, the needlework being hers—numerous joke gifts to Synnove over the years.
Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary.
Aymeric raised his gaze back to her face, framed by her favorite style of Gyr Abanian braids. She giggled again and reached up to brush a loose strand of hair from her eyes, the mahogany and gree—
His mind skittered to a halt and his eyes went wide as realization finally hit him like a sledgehammer.
No. Not green, not the same color as lush grass in high summer. At least, not anymore.
The dyed ends of her hair were now blue.
“Sweetling, your hair,” he sputtered intelligently.
Synnove laughed at him outright now, low and husky and brushing across his ears like crushed velvet, and pushed off from the kitchen counter to stride the handful of paces forward and cup his face in her hands. As she brushed his cheeks with her thumbs, her eyes sparkling with delighted mischief, Aymeric reached up to gently grasp the end of the braid resting on her shoulder between his fingers, examining the new color of it with shocked wonder.
The green had been one of the first things he had noticed about her as he entered the Camp Dragonhead Intercessory all those years ago. Synnove had been turned away upon his arrival, talking in low tones with Heron, and the brilliant green among her dark brown tresses had been especially eye-catching against the formal grey of her assessor’s robe. Only her eyes had been greener, finer than any Ul’dahn emerald, alight with curiosity and interest as they had been introduced.
Now, the color that had reminded him of fresh spring grass had been replaced by a lovely hue similar to the cornflowers that had once carpeted Coerthan meadows in spring. Unlike the green that had been a uniform shade from both afar and up close, however, this blue seemed to shift beneath his scrutiny: the light caught on periwinkle, sapphire, ice. Familiar colors, that made her emerald gaze all the brighter and more piercing.
“Not that you aren’t as beautiful as ever, Synnove,” he said at last, “but…why?”
His lady laughed at him again, softer than before, and stroked his cheeks one last time before settling her hands on his shoulders. “Two reasons,” she said, wry. “First: I’d been using that shade of green for sixteen years; it was high time for a change of pace.”
Aymeric chuckled and inclined his head in concession. “A fair point,” he said, and brought the end of the braid to his lips to kiss. As he did so, Synnove’s eyes crinkled while a pleased smile pulled at her lips, a light flush dusting her cheeks; the sight caused him to grin in return, pride swelling in his chest. It was always a delight seeing how much joy she took from even the smallest of affectionate gestures.
“As for the second…” Synnove’s expression fell into pensiveness as she sighed quietly and glanced away, brow furrowing while gathering her thoughts. Aymeric frowned slightly, letting go of her braid to wrap an arm around her waist, loosely, but his lady nearly immediately took the invitation, leaning forward to bury her face in his chest with another sigh. Permission thus granted, he tightened his grip on her, and brought his other arm around her to hug her close, propping his chin atop her head, and waited.
Finally:
“I’d been thinking about it for a while,” Synnove said, her voice muffled. “Since we first returned from the First.”
Aymeric’s grip on his lady involuntarily tightened as he went rigid, before he forced himself to relax, drawing a hand up and down her spine in firm, comforting strokes—more for himself than her, for all that she melted into the touch. A lick of fiery rage coiled around his heart, hissing and spitting, not at Synnove but for her, as it had when she had slowly, hesitantly, spoke of what she and her sisters had experienced on the First. Of what she had endured. Of why she had appeared as if she was in the depths of aethershock even a sennight after returning, why she had startled so badly at the sound of cracking ice as they had taken a walk in the Pillars her third day home, why she had steadfastly refused to let salt anywhere near her food. But then, as now, the instinctive, protective anger wasn’t of use.
Synnove’s right hand slid off his shoulder and out of the corner of his eye, he saw her bending her arm in the way he knew she was about to slide that hand between them to rub at her sternum, right above her heart, the surest tell she had that she was remembering the weight of the Lightwardens’ aether. Ceasing his petting of her back, he gently caught her hand in his, and drew back enough to lift it and press his lips against her knuckles, then turning her hand over to kiss her palm.
His lady smiled at him, faint but genuine, and stood on tiptoe to kiss his chin in turn. “It didn’t feel right to make the change until we brought the rest of the Scions home,” she continued in a soft murmur, “not with so much at stake and so many unknowns. Better to wait, when that chapter was definitively closed.
“But on the First, there were times when I…I just missed the familiar. Everything was so different, in a way that wasn’t even when we traveled to Othard. Not just the sights and sounds and smells, but the very aether of that world, unsettlingly so. As if it should be familiar, but was just subtly…wrong. And I just wanted a little bit of home, even after I adapted to it.”
Synnove leaned into him again, and they resettled their limbs so that they were comfortably wrapped around one another. As Aymeric resumed rubbing her back, she rested her cheek on his heart and gave his torso a light squeeze, a comforting half-moment of pressure and warmth. “I thought about a few different options for a reminder of home when I’m far from Eorzea, even if just on the same star,” she said. “Mementos like a pressed flower from the garden, or a bag of spice from the markets, or a miniature portrait of you or Auntie. But physical items can be lost, or stolen, or destroyed.”
“Thus, the dye,” Aymeric said.
“Thus, the dye.” Synnove turned her head to prop her chin on his sternum, forcing him to pull back once more to meet her glittering eyes, and her slow smile was as radiant as any sunrise. “So that every time I looked in a mirror or a stray strand hung just in the corner of my eye, there would be a little bit of home with me.”
He had a niggling thought about why she had chosen the color—colors?—that she had…but he would rather like to hear the confirmation from her own lovely lips. “And the blue?” he said, voice light, though he wasn’t able to entirely hide his eager curiosity.
Her smile widened, affectionate and knowing, but she humored him nonetheless. “Well, I flatly refused to do anything multicolor,” she said, sly. “That would just be gauche.”
“You’re a hyur, not a bird of paradise,” Aymeric quipped.
“Precisely.” Synnove gave him a broad wink. “So, I picked blue, and with a bit of assistance from Rerenasu, managed to blend a dye that could accurately capture a few different hues. Periwinkle, for Ishgard. Sapphire, for House Borel. And a pale, icy blue,” here she paused to tap his nose with a forefinger, “for your eyes.”
Warmth suffused his chest, soft and happy and more than a little bit smug, and Aymeric found himself grinning down at his lady, charmed by her words, charmed by her, as he ever was. “I admit,” he said, quiet but pleased, “I quite like the idea of a little bit of myself traveling with you on your adventures, even if it’s merely as innocuous as a color.”
“I thought you might,” she murmured, and stood on tiptoe to kiss him, her lips sweet and velvety. He tugged her closer and returned her kiss with the barest hint of teeth to nip at her, teasing until Synnove’s shoulders shook with laughter. They broke apart only long enough to rest their foreheads together and Aymeric let himself drown in the green of her eyes as she drank in the sight of him in turn, contentment settling over them like a comfortable blanket.
A flash of color came at the corner of his eye, followed by the chorus warbles of five carbuncles. Can we eat yet?
Synnove snorted, and Aymeric snickered, but they finally let go of another, and set to the task of finishing dinner preparations. And if he paused while setting the table, and filling plates, and tucking into his own meal to admire how mahogany now shaded into blue rather than green, well. Synnove, at least, did not hold it against him.

Outfit Change
Day 22 is done! Whoohoo! I hope you like this lil chapter <3. I doooo :D. Let me know if you liked it :)
AO3
Marinette sighed quietly as she watched Adrien pose for one of his latest photoshoots. He had invited her to watch one over the weekend and of course she had accepted. A chance to see Adrien model in beautiful clothes was a dream come true! Especially when every few minutes his eyes would glance over to her and he’d make a funny face. His eyes would roll or he’d stick his tongue out and every time she’d giggle, making her own face back at him.
Unfortunately, a little later into the photoshoot an intern tripped, managing to spill an iced coffee all over Adrien’s shirt. As the intern profusely apologized Adrien’s team swooped in, immediately pulling him out of the cameras. Marinette gnawed on her lip nervously as she watched him get pulled back into the hair-and-makeup tent. She shuffled uncomfortably outside, her eyes glancing about nervously as she thought about what to do when minutes later another intern approached her, “Excuse me but are you Marinette?”
“Yeah, that’s me. Why?” her head tilted curiously as she looked at the young blonde in front of her.
“Adrien requested your presence. He said that you’d probably be the best to help solve our little problem.”
Marinette’s eyes widened to the size of saucers before she nodded her head reluctantly. There was no way she was going to turn down an opportunity like this! She didn’t know what she was doing, but she could definitely give it a shot. Peeking into the tent, she saw Adrien sitting around as a swarm of people rushed about. Walking cautiously in, she cleared her throat to grab her friend’s attention, “Adrien, why did you need me?”
His head whipped around when he heard her, his green eyes lighting up at the sight of her, “Marinette!” he chirped cheerfully, coming towards her, “I’m so glad you’re here!”
He continued to speak but all she could hear was the ringing in her ears. Adrien stood in front of her shirtless. Shirtless! How was she supposed to function when he looked like this! Marinette would have sworn steam came billowing out of her ears as her face lit up.
“So are you up for it?” she tuned back in when he grinned brightly at her.
“Um, for what exactly?” Marinette gave him a wobbly smile, trying to keep her gaze firmly on his eyes.
Adrien frowned for a brief second before he pointed over her shoulder, “For that.”
She turned around with a furrowed brow before she spotted a clothes rack that had just been wheeled in in front of her, “Y-you want me to pick out your clothes for the shoot?!” her head whipped around to look at him panickedly.
“Yeah,” he came over to slip an arm around her shoulders and that was really not helping her to keep her cool, “I told them you’re a stylist and were the best choice for the job.”
“Adrien, t-thank you but a-are you sure you want me to do this? What if I screw it up?” Marinette leaned in to whisper to him conspiratorially.
“I trust you,” his beam widened before he winked cheekily at her.
Her heart beat faster and she practically felt her legs give out underneath her before she regained her composure. Adrien trusted her! She could do this! Rubbing her hands together she marched over to the clothes rack, shuffling through the large pile of clothes before she settled on an outfit. Turning back around, she handed the clothes to Adrien, giving him a swift nod, “This is perfect! I swear both you and the audience will love it! The deep green in this is guaranteed to bring out your eyes!”
“Great choice, Marinette! I love it,” the blonde clutched the clothes to his chest before he ducked away, presumably to get changed.
Marinette stood rooted for a few seconds before she shook her head quickly, stepping out of the tent as she gulped in a few breaths of fresh air. With another quick shake of her head, she returned to the spot she had been standing in previously. When Adrien came back fully dressed, he shot her another bright smile which made her feel woozy. He looked amazing! Knowing that he was wearing clothes that she had picked out made her heart practically flutter in her chest!
She sighed dreamily as she watched him get situated and started posing once again. A voice interrupted her from her daydreams however, “He looks great, doesn’t he?”
Her eyes flicked over to the woman standing next to her, “O-oh, I-I mean yes, but Adrien always looks amazing!”
“Yes, but you picked out this specific outfit for him, didn’t you?” the lady’s head tilted over to Adrien before returning her gaze.
“Y-yeah, I did. I-I’m sorry if it looks bad. He asked me for help and I thought I’d give it a shot. I’m usually more of a designer then a stylist,” Marinette smiled shyly at the woman.
“You could have fooled me,” she chuckled before sticking out her hand, “My name’s Kate and I don’t think your choice looks bad. On the contrary, I think it looks perfect. I came over here to introduce myself. You see I’m one of the head stylists at Gabriel and I wanted to see if you were looking for a summer internship.”
“I-I would love one!” she practically jumped at the opportunity to shake Kate’s hand, “A chance to work at Gabriel would be amazing!”
“Well, I know Adrien loves having you here. He does some of his best work with you around,” the woman winked at her as Marinette’s cheeks colored, “I’m certain the more you’re around, the better our shoots will be and that makes everyone happy. It’ll be a lot of hard work though, if you’re up for it?”
“Yes, yes of course! I’d love to!” she tried to lower her voice to keep it from squealing but it was difficult.
Kate chuckled, her eyes glimmering at her curiously, “Just keep showing up and you’ve got yourself an internship.”
“Thank you so so much!” Marinette called, waving at her as Kate turned to go, shouting something at one of the interns.
“What was that about?” Adrien’s voice peeped up from behind her shoulder.
Marinette squealed, throwing herself into his arms in a large hug, “I think I just got an internship because you let me pick out your clothes! Thank you so much, Adrien!”
The boy grinned and she suddenly realized where she was. Clearing her throat, she attempted to back away before Adrien’s grip around her tightened, squeezing her as he hugged her back, “That’s great, Marinette! But it was your work that got you here! Don’t forget that!”
“I won’t! But thank you again for the opportunity, Adrien,” she tilted her head up to look into Adrien’s happy, sparkling emerald eyes.
“You’re welcome, Marinette,” he squeezed her tighter and she let her eyes flutter closed, feeling completely safe in Adrien’s arms.

Strawberries
I’ve had Stardew Valley and Harvest Moon on the brain thanks to @angelic-guardienne and so this was born. I’m a slut for farming sims, but I’m also a wh0re for Cor, so enjoy.
Courting your love interest? More like CORting him
Pairing: Cor/Reader Words: 1886 Genre: Fluff
Cor was a simple man with a simple life. He woke up at dawn every morning just to stand out under the sun, clearing his fields and tending to his crops and cattle as he had done his whole life. It was all he cared about, doing the best he could to have a successful farm.
At least, it was all he cared about until you came along.
He hadn’t thought much of the new person in town, not even when he met you. But then, you approached him one day, introducing yourself once more and asking him for some advice on growing strawberries. There was a bright look in your eyes and the cutest smile on your face, all of which radiated the utmost excitement and interest. He thought it was refreshing, someone actually interested in the care that goes into growing crops. However, having it come from the newest arrival in town left him more confused than not, but a certain sense of curiosity came with it.
The next time he passed your house, there was a fresh patch of strawberry plants growing in your yard, and the old house had a nice yard for the first time in twenty years. It had caught him off guard, seeing new flowers and bushes growing and the lawn freshly mowed, but the sight left him pleasantly surprised. His curiosity grew.
Cor didn’t have another conversation with you for a while beyond brief nods on his part and smiles from you as you two locked eyes across the street.
However, as that spring came to a close, there was a knock on his front door one afternoon. He had finished up his morning chores early and was finally taking some time to himself, only to open his door to you standing there.
There was light sunburn coating your cheeks, your eyes bright and a basket of familiar red berries hanging from your hands. “Hi, Cor!”
He was surprised, his blue eyes widened slightly and his lips parted in a small “o” of surprise.
“So, I got my first batch of strawberries and there were a lot of them…” You let out a nervous chuckle, slightly intimidated by the farmer in front of you. He looked nice in a thin red flannel and jeans, but you tried not to think about that. “As a thank you for your advice, I wanted to bring some by?” You held the basket out to him, your cheeks flushing for reasons other than your sunburn.
Cor wasn’t met with situations like this. He was a lone farmer who didn’t really hang around anyone, beyond maybe Regis and Clarus who were usually busy with their own town functions. He gingerly took the basket, looking rather stunned. It wasn’t often someone did something this kind for him. “Thank you,” He said, voice warm, a small smile appearing on his face.
“Well, uh, that’s it, so--I’ll just head out then.” You managed to say, not thinking this far into the plan. Bobbing your head awkwardly, turned to leave, giving him a small wave and praying that you didn’t do something weird.
Cor watched you leave, the basket in one hand as he vaguely wondered why his heart was beating so fast.
He went for the strawberries later that evening and found a note attached to them. It was written in messy handwriting, the letters uneven and sloppy, but the words themselves endearing.
“Cor, thanks for your tips on the strawberries! Clarus mentioned that you were a big fan of them, so I thought it might be nice to give you some as a thank you. Forever thankful, your neighbor and their new green thumb”
It was cute. And so was the tiny strawberry doodled in the corner of the index card. Cor wasn’t even aware of his small smile until he bit into the first strawberry, his smile growing. It wasn’t the best strawberry in the world, but it was sweet and not too firm--very good for a beginner. The thought of your bashful smile as you presented the thoughtful gift to him made him smile even more, and he hoped that he could cross paths with you again soon.
A week later, Cor was harvesting some crops of his own. He recalled Clarus mentioning how “that new kid” was struggling with growing vegetables, knowing that the “new kid” was most certainly you. Setting a few turnips and cabbages aside, he made a mental note to return the strawberry favor, and he did.
A few days later, there was a basket at your front door. Cor was admittedly too nervous to give it to you in person, but he told himself that he was simply too busy to try and track you down, trying to squash the butterflies in his stomach the whole time.
The basket was full of turnips and cabbages, and as you dug further into it, there were a few turnip seeds and even a couple cabbage seeds, all attached to a note of his own. His handwriting was surprisingly neat, describing in detail how to care for turnips and cabbages.
“Clarus mentioned you were having trouble, thought these might help.” He wrote, signing off with a simple “Cor”. The note was simple, but the fully grown vegetables in the basket warmed your heart.
It was with that gift that a habit was formed between the two of you. You both began to swap crops and notes, hardly ever in person. You gave him blueberries and cranberries, cookies and muffins (especially after you found out that he had a soft spot for berry muffins). In return, he liked to leave fresh dairy products from his animals on your doorstep. Sometimes he left you other produce as well: fresh corn, plump tomatoes, soft peaches, and sweet potatoes. There wasn’t always a note, but when there was, it was always treasured.
You two grew closer through your gift-giving, and when you saw each other in person, your conversations were enjoyable on both sides, despite how warm your blushing cheeks were.
A year of gift exchanges passed before a gift was given to you in person.
One of the spring festivals had been approaching, and a few days before the annual spring dance, someone came knocking at your front door. You were surprised to find Cor standing there, a slightly sheepish look on his face as he held his own basket of strawberries.
There was a light blush on his cheeks, barely visible through his tan. He was wearing one of his stupidly cute flannels, the sleeves just rolled up past his elbows. The sight of his farmer’s tan made you want to giggle slightly, although the serious look in his blue eyes kept you on your toes.
He cleared his throat, “Morning, He coughed awkwardly, trying to keep his eyes on you.
“Morning, Cor.” You smiled, your eyes sparkling as you looked up at him. “It’s not often I get to see you.”
He nodded, clearing his throat again. “I, uh, figured I should stop by in person for this,” He told you, holding out the basket of freshly picked strawberries. “Just got my first harvest for this spring, and I, uh, thought you might like to try the strawberries.”
You gingerly took the basket from him, smiling. The strawberries were bright and plump, looking absolutely wonderful. “Thank you, Cor, that’s really nice of you,” You told him, trying to squander your blush. Just a year ago, you had been the one in his place, giving him your first strawberries as you stood awkwardly on his own porch. It was nice having the roles reversed. You glanced back up at him, smiling, “I might try my hand at making some strawberry cake with these for the festival.”
The perfect segway.
“About the festival,” Cor began, feeling his cheeks growing warmer and his heart beat faster. He tried to squash those stupid butterflies in his stomach, but the second you looked back up at him, your gaze so curious, he fell even harder. “It’s pretty customary for folks to go to the dance in pairs--and, uh,” Astrals, why was he so bad at this? “I was wondering if you’d like to go with me. It--it doesn’t have to be a date, but…” He left the sentence hanging.
There was a beat of silence. Honestly, you were surprised, your eyes slightly wide and stunned. You never thought that he’d ask you--honestly, you thought you would’ve had to ask him.
Cor felt himself panicking as the seconds ticked by, your lack of response terrifying him. He only found relief as your shock morphed into a smile, your cheeks glowing with a bright pink blush as you nodded. “Yeah, that’d be great.” You said, your own stomach filling with butterflies and your eyes even brighter. “As a date, if you’d be comfortable with that.” You added, your blush growing as your smile grew shy.
Cor’s face broke out into a smile, “I’d like that,” He said, letting out a breath of relief. His heart was hammering against his chest, and as he left, a stupidly big smile on his face, he couldn’t wait for the festival.
Your date went swimmingly. That day, you two danced together, his calloused hands warm against your waist. With each step, you two grew closer and closer, your smiles both shy but your eyes bright.
And that evening, you both kissed; it was the first of many. His lips were slightly chapped, but the kiss was soft and delicate in the moonlight, his rough hands so gentle on your cheeks and you found yourself wishing for more as he left you breathless. Luckily, you did get more over the years, many, many more kisses with embraces to accompany them.
Cor is still a simple man with a simple life, but now, he has you with him.
He still wakes up at the crack of dawn, but he likes to linger in bed with his arm over your waist, your soft breath warm against his chest and the thought of leaving you in the morning enough to make him just a bit late to let the cattle out.
He loves to see you working on your beautiful garden outside of your shared house, smiling as you pat down the dirt around fresh flowers and guiltily rip weeds out from between the bushes.
The two of you spend the evenings curled up in the living room, quietly leaning against each other as you two read and occasionally watch the television, the house sometimes filled with quiet music or your hushed voices.
He now likes to take many, many breaks throughout the day just to go inside and see your cute smile and to get soft kisses. It always gives him just enough of his energy back to finish his chores, and those few days where he didn’t take frequent breaks for your hugs, you made sure to go out yourself to give them.
Now, he doesn’t only care about tending to crops and caring for his cattle. He still loves it, just as much as he always has, but now he lives his life to care about you, too. And he still leaves out baskets of strawberries on the counter every morning, just for you.

808 Broadway | Laszlo Kreizler [Chapter Three]
Chapter Three | Friends, Cocktails, and Secrets
Aurora's POV:
The doctor's friends had just arrived for cocktails, and I was lingering in the kitchen. I wanted them to get settled in before I entered the sitting room with the hors d'oeuvres I had prepared for them. I pulled my pocket watch out and made sure to wait exactly ten minutes before making my move. I returned the time piece in my pocket and picked up the tray of hors d'oeuvres. 'Be calm and collected, Aurora. This could cost you your job and ruin your reputation.' I thought inside of my head as I made my way towards the sitting room. When I reached the door I stood a deep breath before walking in. A woman with yellow hair caught my attention first. She was wearing a dark colored dress; I couldn't tell if it was dark blue or dark green. The hair on her head was in a up do style, which made her look professional.
She seemed to me like he kind of person who takes no bull from anyone, man or woman. There was something very handsome about her facial features as well. As I moved further into the room my eyes met a man with short black hair and a faint mustache. He was dressed in a black suit with a plum colored waistcoat and black tie. "Ah, Sara... John... I'd like you to meet my new housekeeper." Dr. Kreizler said once he noticed my presence. I sat the tray I had been carrying on the coffee table for easy access. "It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Sara Howard." The woman said as walked towards me. She offered me her hand to shake, and I did so with a small smile. "A man as a housekeeper? I've never heard of such a thing. Perhaps a butler, but never a male housekeeper." John had said. I couldn't prevent the amused smile that was spreading across my face. I glanced towards the doctor, and he seemed to be having the same problem.
"That's very simple to explain, John. Especially since Miss Perish isn't a man at all." Dr. Kreizler said with an amused sparkle in his dark eyes. "What?" John replied with confusion written all over his face. "Miss Perish is in fact female." Dr. Kreizler said as he walked towards John and clamped him on the back in a friendly fashion. "Please, forgive me Miss. I had no intentions to insult you." John said with a worried look in his green eyes. "There's no need to apologize, sir. I'm use to being mistaken for a man. In fact, I prefer it. It makes a long walk home safer than if one was to assume I am a woman." I replied with a small smile. After we were properly introduced, I left the room to leave the three of them talk and have a nice evening. Dr. Kreizler was explaining to John how some woman masquerade as men to move up in a male dominant work force. When I returned to the kitchen I cleaned up a bit and sat down at the small table.
I took a break even though I didn't want to. My nerves were too high string to really relax. When I checked the time I figured it I should get something started for dinner, but just as I opened the ice box Stevie walked in. "Dr. Kreizler said to not get anything started. He and his friends are going to Delmonico's. He also said you can go home for the night." He said before walking out the back door. I figured he and Cyrus were getting the calash ready to take the three of them to the restaurant. Deep down I was a little relived. If I had to cook for all of them I might have had a panic attack or something. I rolled down my selves before grabbed my jacket to put it on. Then I walked out the back door myself to say goodnight. "You have a safe ride home, Miss Perish." Cyrus said with a small smile. "Yeah, and I hope we didn't scare you off on your first day." Stevie said as he patted their horse, Fredrick, on his side. "Thanks. Don't worry, it takes a lot to scare me off." I replied with a smile. It was my first day and I was already getting attached to these guys.
Maybe it's because they reminded me of myself in more ways than one. Or maybe it was the way they invited me into their lives. Either way, I was glad to be working here. I was actually looking forward to coming to work tomorrow morning. After saying goodbye to the bourses, Fredrick and Gwendolyn, I walked behind the calash as Stevie pulled the carriage to the front of the house. I hailed for a cab as the doctor and his friends came out of the front door. "Have a wonderful evening. It was a pleasure meeting you Miss. Howard... Mr. Moore." I said with a small smile as a cab pulled up to the curb. "It was a pleasure meeting you as well, Miss Perish. Hopefully our paths will cross again sometime." Miss Howard said with a kind smile on her face. "Oh, I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of each other if Dr. Kreizler choses to keep me as his housekeeper." I said, glancing towards the doctor who only smiled one of his soft smiles.
We said our goodbyes and I told my cab driver where I wished to go, which was home. 'I bet my brother will be relived that he doesn't have to cook dinner for himself tonight.' I thought as I stared out at the children playing in the streets as well as the passing cabs. Once I reached my destination I paid the driver what I owed him and headed inside. I took my jacket off and rolled my selves up to get started on cooking dinner. A few minutes later Henry came into the room. "You're home already? I thought you wouldn't be back until late." He said with furrowed brows. "Some of the doctor's friends came to visit him this evening. They're going to Delmonico's, so I didn't have to stay and cook for them." I replied as I started cooking food for the two of us. "Did you get fired?" He asked with a look of disappointment in his hazel eyes. "No." I said, feeling a little annoyed by his question. But I didn't let it bother me too much. Henry sat down at the table and we talked about out days.
He talked about his psychology and biology classes before I told him about my day. It seemed interesting to him, but I figured that insight into Dr. Kreizler's life was the bait that caught his eye, not the cleaning and cooking aspects of my new job. I failed to mention buttoning his boots, because hope would have made something out of it. He would have tried analysing my employer's behavior and I didn't want that. We ate dinner together before he disappeared into his room to study. After I cleaned up the kitchen, I locked the apartment up. Then I went to my room to read before going to bed. I had a long day ahead of me, but I was excited about it. The morning went by quickly. I found myself at work before I had the chance to fully wake up. But I was able to function and that was enough for me. Not too long after I started making breakfast, Stevie and Cyrus both came into the room. They were still sleepy, so they each poured themselves a cup of coffee.
"Good morning, Miss Perish." Cyrus said. "Please, call me Aurora." I said after wishing him a good morning as well. I had a feeling it was going to take him some time to start calling me by my first name. Once breakfast was finished I served it to them and then headed into the dinning room where Dr. Kreizler was seated. Again, I had to button his shoes. "I hope you didn't mind me sending you home early yesterday." He said, breaking the comfortable silence. "I didn't mind at all. I think my brother was relieved." I replied. "Why's that?" He asked. "He hates cooking. He'd rather have his nose in a book than standing over a hot stove." I said with a small laugh. I finished with his shoes and found him smiling at me in the soft way he often does. I wondered if that's something he became accustomed to in his dealings with children, or if that was something he did before he even though of being an Alienist.
I stood up and he walked over to the dinning table where I placed his breakfast. This morning I made pancakes topped with honey and fresh fruit. "Enjoy your breakfast, doctor." I said before leaving the room. I walked into the kitchen to find two empty plates and two guys with satisfied stomachs. They praised my cooking once again, which made me happy. I was glad I could make them something good to eat, especially since it was obvious they haven't had good cooking in a while. They went out to the stables while I tidied up the kitchen. After giving Dr. Kreizler time to eat I headed upstairs to collect his empty dishes. I met him on the landing and he said his goodbyes. He was going to work, and I wished him a productive day. I recalled my brother mentioning that he has an institution for wayward boys and girls. I know Henry would have loved to have a tour of th place. To be honest... he'd probably want an internship there.
I wouldn't have minded seeing what the doctor does for a living, especially since I've learned so much about psychology through my brother's studies. When I returned to the kitchen, I washed the dirty dishes and made sure everything was its proper place. Then I gathered up cleaning supplies. I had the rest of the house to tidy up, because I didn't get around to it yesterday. 'Hopefully I'll be able to finish everything before Dr. Kreizler comes home this evening.' I thought inside of my head. I gathered up all of the rugs and beat the dust out of them in the back yard. It gave me easy access to the hardwood floors; it made it easier to scrub them without having to worry about shifting the rugs around. I managed to get half of the work finished before it was time for me to cook another meal. Without the doctor being in, I actually asked Stevie and Cyrus what they'd like to eat. After a few minutes of talking they both agreed on something. As the food cooked I sat down at the small table in the kitchen and took a break.
My body was starting to protest against the hard work I had done earlier this morning. It was more annoying than anything, especially since I had so much work left to do. Once the food was ready I let the guys know. The three of us sat at the small table and ate together. It was a great opportunity to get to know them better. "How is the cleaning coming along?" Cyrus asked me curiously before putting a fork full of food into his mouth. "It's going alright. My muscles will definitely be sore and stiff tomorrow, but I'll soon get use to it." I replied with a small smile before taking a drink of water. "Don't work yourself too the bone. The doctor ain't gonna give you the sack if the whole house ain't clean before he gets home." Stevie said with a look in his eyes I couldn't quite put my finger on. A moment of silence passed between us as we ate the meal I had cooked for us. "I don't mean to be nosey, but... how did you two meet Dr. Kreizler?" I asked them with slightly furrowed brows.
They gave each other a glance that looked as if they had talked to each other with their minds. "Well, you see... Dr. Kreizler is an Alienist and he sometimes sits in on trials." Stevie said. "Not all trials, just the ones that spark interest in him." Cyrus added. They explained to me that Dr. Kreizler had saved Cyrus from being executed. He also saved Stevie from spending life in either prison or an insane asylum. Both of them became members of the doctor's private at home staff immediately after their trials. It made me a little uncomfortable knowing that the two men I was eating with were criminals, but it didn't change the way I feel about them. 'They're nice people. There's no reason why I shouldn't trust them if the doctor trusts them.' I said inside of my head. They told me many stories about their time with Dr. Kreizler, and it seemed as if they really admire the man. Of course I would too if he had changed the course of my life.
Especially if the alternative was death or prison. But I myself admired him, because he was willing to give me a chance despite the fact that I haven't been employed much. I practically had no references for him to turn to if he wished to find out if I'm a good employee. 'Perhaps that's the reason why I've been pushing myself to work so hard.' I wondered. We finished eating and I cleaned up before going back to work. My body rested enough, and I figured I should finish up the cleaning so I didn't have to do it tomorrow. So I walked upstairs with a fresh bucket of water to scrub the floors and whatnot. Before I knew it, I was finished. I was surprised that it didn't take as long as I expected. After dumping the dirty scrub water, I took the rugs back inside and placed them on the floors once they were dry. Since I had some time to kill I walked outside in the warm summer air.
Golden sunlight was baring down on the earth with some kind of vengeance, but a nice cool breeze rustled the leaves; it made the heat almost bearable. I brought one of my favorite Sherlock Holmes stories with me today in case I managed to have some free time. I was very glad that I had, because if I didn't I think I would have been bored out of my mind. There was a large tree in the medium sized back yard, and I took upon myself to sit underneath it. I brought the story outside with me and opened the worn pages of The Strand Magazine. Within a few minutes I was completely absorbed by the world Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created. "Hey, I'm going to pick up the doctor from the institute. Cyrus will be here if you need anything." Stevie said, taking my attention off of the story in my hands. "Okay. Have a safe ride there and back." I replied. He nodded once before turning and fetching the calash from the stables. I got up from my comfortable spot and headed indoors. Sherlock Holmes could wait for later, I needed to make dinner. 'I hope the doctor stays in for dinner tonight.
I don't want my cooking to go to waste.' I thought inside of my head. Once I washed my hands I gathered a large roast from the ice box as well as some vegetables. Even though it was warm outside, it was rather cool inside of the house and I figured a stew would be lovely this evening. I cooked and seasoned the beef after cutting it up into chunks. Then I put everything into a large iron pot to cook the vegetables. I also put in a secret ingredient, which was sliced apples to give the stew a hint of sweetness. I didn't want the earthy herbs to be too overbearing. While the stew cooked on its own, I started making appetizers. Deep down I had a feeling that his friends would be coming back tonight. I wasn't sure why, but I couldn't shake the feeling. The sound of the front door opening and closing let me know that Stevie had returned with the doctor. A few moments passed and the door to the kitchen opened. "Something smells delicious!" Dr. Kreizler's deep, yet pleasant sounding voice said.
"Thanks, hopefully it tastes that way too." I replied with a small laugh. "I have no doubt that your cooking will be satisfactory this evening." He said. There was a moment of silence that passed between us before he spoke up once more. "Stevie mentioned that you were working hard... perhaps... a little too hard. I assure you that there's no need to push yourself to exhaustion." He said, as I turned to face him. There was a mixture of emotions in his eyes; there was concern, worry, and a slight hint of amusement in those dark orbs. "You don't have to worry about me, doctor. I'm perfectly fine." I said. He smiled softly and glanced down at the floor for a brief moment before looking back up at me. Before leaving he mentioned that Miss Howard and Mr. Moore, along with a couple other friends of his were coming for dinner tonight.
I thanked my gut instincts to make a lot of food tonight after he had told me that. I continued to cook while I nervously awaited his guest's arrivals. Cyrus walked in through the back door and commented on how good it smelled in the kitchen. He offered to help, and I welcomed his assistance with open arms. "I put Stevie on door duty. I knew you'd be too busy cooking for our friends tonight to be womaning the door." He said as he stirred the stew for me. I thanked him before getting things set up for making dessert after the appetizers were finished. The fire not door opened and I heard five people enter the hallway. I knew Stevie, Miss Howard, and Mr. Moore were among them. But I didn't know the two newcomers. It made me a little nervous. Eventually Cyrus went to inform the others that dinner was ready. He and Stevie helped me place the appetizers in front of the guests. As we did so I got to see what the other two people looked like... the doctor's other friends. One man was slender with dark curly hair and blue eyes, while the other was shorter and stouter. His hair was thinning and he had a beard. "Detective sergeants, I'm like you to meet Miss Perish." Dr. Kreizler said, introducing us.
The tall man's name is Marcus and the shorter man's name is Lucius. It kinda shocked me when I learned that they're brothers as well. Once the appetizers were served I left the room and returned to the kitchen. Cyrus and Stevie didn't join me, because the doctor told them to stay in the dinning room. I figured they all wanted to catch up; they're friends after all. I occupied my time by tending to the stew and preparing dessert. However, I kept wondering what two detective sergeants were doing at a doctor's home. My mind was busy making up many different scenarios on how someone in Dr. Kreizler's profession could meet such people, but none of them seemed to fit. 'Stop thinking too much, or you going to burn something.' I said to myself as I turned my focus back to cooking. After a while I went back into the dining room to collect empty dishes and serve the stew I made. Whilst doing so they gave me several complements on the food, which made me smile. I thanked them before walking into the hall. I closed the door behind me and once again returned to the kitchen. While they ate I poured myself a bowl of stew after placing the pastries I made into the oven. My stomach was growling so loud I'm surprised they didn't hear it.
After letting the dessert cool for a few minutes, I walked upstairs again to collect dishes and serve them. "That stew was delicious, Miss Perish. I've never had anything like it before." Lucius Isaacson said with a small smile. "Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it." I replied with a small smile of my own. I entered the kitchen with more dirty dishes, and I decided to wash them even though I didn't have all of them yet. I just wanted to get most of them finished before too late. The very last trip I made was to collect their coffee cups. As I left the room I lingered near the doorway. "Well... will you help us or not? We can't do this without you." Mr. Moore's voice said from inside the dinning room. "Give me some time to think about it. Things aren't back to normal at the institute yet." Dr. Kreizler replied. I wasn't sure what they were talking about, but I quietly retreated into the kitchen. It was clear I overheard part of a conversation I wasn't supposed to hear.

Drunk Me is Stupid Me || Sebastian Stan x Reader
Hope you enjoy this shit! It took me a long time to write it. I’m not fully back on Tumblr and honestly idk when I will be, but in the meantime I’m trying to write for you guys. I’m currently working on part two of remember the pattern and a peter parker request that is insanely overdue. I hope this satisfies you even though it’s not Tom. xx -Ciel
Tumblr media
[IMPORTANT: I’ve altered Sebastian’s age to about 26 for the sake of their friendship timeline and me being shit at math, but it’s still essentially 2018 so that’s a little reference thing]
Knowing he could see your every move just made you shaky. Sebastian’s eyes followed you steadily, the one drink he had only knocking his perception skills slightly. At parties like this, he was usually watching out for you, as he had for years, but tonight was a different stare. It sent nervous shocks through your body. You were dancing, laughing, smiling, but your eyes betrayed your external feelings. Only you remembered your entire exchange from the previous night, which led to uncomfortable silence between you two since then. He didn’t know why you weren’t talking to him.
For him, some words could ruin  a relationship. In the near seven years of friendship you had, you’d only ever heard him say those make-or-break words to his mother, and in Romanian.
“Te iubesc.”
The day you asked him what it meant three years ago, he only replied “something special.” After sitting in on a few more phone calls with his mom and a Google translate search later, you figured out what it meant and why he refused to say it to anyone but his mother. I love you.
“Anyone you meet, you could lose them at any given moment. I know it sounds selfish, but I guess I’m scared to admit to such a powerful statement. There’s some people you’re kind of stuck with, like family, but you never know how long friends and lovers will stick around. You might think you know that person like the back of your hand, but humans are spontaneous. They say and do stupid things. I’m scared of giving up the control that comes with that sentence. If I keep the use of it limited then I don’t have to worry about giving a piece of me to someone who doesn’t reciprocate feelings...or someone who’s just temporary.” Sebastian rambled, kicking at pebble by his foot, the other foot bouncing up and down as he spoke. “I’ve lost people I said that to. Loving people, or at least admitting out loud it makes it real. It hurts.”
“I think you have to lose some of yourself to feel. There has to be a negative and you’ll have to give up things you don’t want to. I guess you have to go through a lot of bullshit to learn and find someone who won’t leave you. That might just be my opinion, though.” You replied quietly, your heart almost dropping after processing everything he said. Someone fucked him over.
You’d known him for maybe twelve years, best friends in high school, drifting apart after senior year. When you both ended up in L.A you reconnected for a bit, but about a year after he began dating his ex, he hardly talked to you. You’d recognized why and to an extent you understood why he stopped, but it still hurt you. They dated for nearly four years till she broke it off.
That was two years ago. He never talked about her, or rather refused to when you asked. You wanted to tell him how you felt, but you knew you’d lose him. You didn’t want to ruin anything you had. He was your world and your one best friend. Why lose that because of a damn crush? Was he still in love with his ex? Would he actually feel the same?
“You look tired,” someone said in your ear, trying to get your attention over the music. “Are you alright?”
“Yeah, I just got distracted. I’m fine, it might just be the drinks.” You turned, dragging yourself out of your mind to identify the voice. “Hi, Chris.” You smiled at him half-heartedly and gave him a hug.
“You’ve only had sparkling grape juice, (Y/N). You sure about that?” His hand rested protectively on your back, his head hanging close to yours so you could hear over the blaring noise. “I feel like you’re having other issues.”
Evans was concerned, he was uncharactiscally good at reading people. He was the peacemaker out out the Marvel friends and probably cared a little too much about how everyone was getting along. You guess this is an important problem to an extent.
Blackout drunk Sebastian confessing his undying love for you about eight hours after you got cheated on was a bit of a big deal. While three or four years ago you were completely sure of how you felt about him, there was the paralyzing fear that came with your jeapordizing your relationship. The last thing you wanted to do was hurt him. There was something about loving someone that wasn’t available that was painful, but addicting. As long as one of you was off-limits, there was absolutely no risk of fucking everything up. He was safe. You were safe.
“Yep.” God, you hated confessing your problems. You bit your lip, looking up at him. His eyes were focused on you, eyebrows pulled together. “I did a lot of stupid stuff. I felt stupid stuff. Now I don’t know what to do, or how to feel, how to function. You know?”
He took a deep breath, pondering over his words carefully before replying. “Is it Seb?”
Someone saying his name, his nickname especially, out-loud made you wince. Just because you didn’t want to hurt him didn’t mean it wouldn’t happen. When Chris saw how you froze when he asked, he already knew.
“Damn. I can guess a little bit of what happened but I’m just gonna leave you with this because I know I can’t get involved at this point. He’s over her, your boyfriend was a douchebag and doesn’t deserve you or your mourning, and this has been going on for what, seven years? Just...talk. I don’t know. Yell or something. Even if it doesn’t fix things, you need to be open. Have discussion on the table, okay?”
“We were kids- I, I don’t know if it’s real? What if this is just gonna fuck everything up? I genuinely don’t know how it’d work? What if I’m still in love with Brendon? Or I’m not over him at least? I’m-”
“For the sake of everyone else, please try?” He looked at you expectantly, moving away slowly, taking your drink with his so you couldn’t hide behind it. “Take it slow.”
“I-I don’t know.” But he’d already walked away.
You stepped back, finding support against a wall, trying to think. You wanted him so bad, but you were only fearful. If you lost him, you weren’t sure you if you could recover. Brendon was a one-year denial relationship that obviously fell through, and somehow you managed to reject the trauma. Nothing was setting in yet, your brain was just a whir of panic and confusion.
Members of the MCU cast littered the room, talking and laughing, the other half of party-goers being staff and plus-ones. The enviroment was perfect, something you usually enjoyed, but with everything going on it only suffocated thoughts you were trying to sort through.
Sebastian was talking to three girls you didn’t recognize, smiling and scratching the back of his neck, his gaze flicking between his feet and them. Flirting.
Jesus Christ.
You spun away quickly and walked out of the party, bolting for stairs you only hoped would go to the roof. Just far enough till you could only hear muffled basslines, no voices or anything.
He kept looking for you, stealing quick glances, but you weren’t there anymore.
One steel door was positioned at the top of the staircase, hinting at a nice view of L.A and air that wasn’t tinged with alcohol. The clink of the metal door handle snapped you into reality as you stumbled forward, taking in everything around you. You swung your feet over the ledge, perched on the edge. There was a branch of the building only eight feet down, promising safety if you managed to fall.
He doesn’t remember anything he’s said to me, and he doesn’t know why I’m upset. I’m leaving him in the dark.
But I’m also in the dark. Everything came out of nowhere. Maybe it was because I was sobbing into his chest with a half-empty plastic Ikea cup of wine that spurred him to attempt to comfort me with his own confession?
I was a kid when I loved him, do I still? Is this dumb? I don’t know how to figure out my brain. I don’t know if any of this is reasonable. Am I the one messing this up or is it him? What if this is all a big mistake and I’m not gonna love him like that in a month? I was a little excited, but at the same time really terrified-
Fuckin’ incoherent.
You stood up, shaking as you paced the cement. Rapid ideas passed through your brain, only perpetuating severe stress. None of it made sense. What is even it? What the hell is going on? Fresh air wasn’t working.
“Goddamnit!” You shouted at the sky, arms thrown up in defeat. “Can someone just figure this out for me?”
“Figure out what?” A raspy, familiar voice asked.
You froze.
“(Y/N)?”
You didn’t want to turn around. You didn’t know what you’d do. Or what he’d do. Am I unecessarily complicating this? How convenient of Sebastian to show up now, it’s like a movie or some shit-
His footsteps grew louder till they stopped next to you, and you kept your eyes shut tight. He sighed. “Please talk to me?”  You could see him, messy dark hair, blue eyes and all, staring at the city lights and wondering how he messed up. What he did to make you mad. “I can’t lose you, too.”
Completely against your mind’s will, you scoffed. His eyebrows tightened, the left one slightly crooked up. Even though you still refused to look at him, you could tell exactly what he was doing. If you made eye-contact or anything, it’d make it real.
“Really?” He seemed to be taken aback based on the tone in his voice.
“How do you not remember? How do you-” You whirled around, a shocking anger bubbling in your chest. “You’re not gonna lose me, I don’t know - we might wreck everything we have as best friends but, God, I’m just kind of freaking out because I literally can’t process anything that’s happened in the past four days-”
“Hold on.” he was just as shocked as you but gripped your upper arms to try and steady you. “What do I not remember? Why would we wreck eve-” His eyes widened after a moment of silence before he dropped his hands from you and pressed them to his face. Realization settling in quickly. “Oh, fuck me.”
“I thought I was hallucinating or something, it’s only a little scary right? Nope! I kind of wanna cry and scream and hit someone right now but it’s fine, cause’ my brain is a fucking nightmare!” Your breathing was still erratic like the past twenty minutes, and nothing was changing.
“Are you drunk?” He inquired, hands sliding off his face, his eyes glossy.
“No but I think I’m having a panic attack, it’s all good--I’m just gonna sit down real quick.” You plopped down, not caring whether or not your dress got ripped or dirty. You kind of just wanted to sleep. You felt like you were just trapped inside your skin, unable to control anything or even your own legs.
“Okay, hey, hey (Y/N), you and me both, right? It’s gonna be fine.” He crouched down by you, hesitant to get too close. If it was any other situation, any other panic-attack of yours he might’ve even picked you up, but now he knew that you knew...
“I just don’t know why I can’t think. I could be happy and smart, but I’m not. Maybe I have a weird complex for all of this? Confused-complex?” You started laughing at yourself and your nonsensical rants. Sebastian didn’t.
He just sat with you, staring at you in concern. It was a slightly stressed stare, too. You couldn’t handle it, so you just shut your eyes again and leaned back, trying to steady your breathing. You tried and tried, so badly wanting to only see the backs of your eyelids. No other distractions. “Can I-” he reached out to you, his hands lightly grazing your back. Your muscles tensed and the hairs on the back of your neck stood up.
When you stayed frozen he just wrapped you in a sort-of bear hug, pulling you onto his lap. “This doesn’t mean anything if you don’t want it to, I’m-I’m just worried about you.” He mumbled into your hair, where his chin and lips nearly pressed down and stayed there, but he pulled away.
“Au revoir, don’t be stupid,” Seb said, pressing a chaste kiss to the very top of your head. You laughed in response and didn’t whisper a word to try and keep your feelings contained.
This was a pre-date ritual; Sebastian’s blessing could only mean good luck. Anytime you did something big like this he’d end up hanging out at your apartment, waiting there for when you got back to hear every detail about how awful your date was-or nice, and on occasion he’d have to leave before you got back for ‘reasons.’
Every single one of those dates was just a cover-up and distraction. You’d completely convinced yourself you weren’t in love with your best friend anymore, but somewhere in the back of your mind, just a faint idea lingered. What if?
“I’m sorry,” you began, interrupting the silence that had grown between you two. “For all of this. For me. For making a big deal out of this and not talking about it like any other person would do.”
“Don’t be, I’m used to ‘you’,” he said, exhaling sharply as if he wanted to laugh but his heart wasn’t in it. “If it helps, I’m scared too.”
“Yeah?”
“Drunk me is really stupid.”
You paused before responding. “Drunk you is just honest. Honest with yourself and everyone else. Remember when you got drunk at Chris Hemsworth’s baby shower and cried because ‘babies are really cool and Chris is good at making them’?” You started giggling at the memory, earning your friend’s laughter too.
After a long breath he continued his thought. “I just feel like I fucked us up and lost you or something because you clearly don’t feel the same way, and-and this is all exactly what I was terrified of, I’m kinda out of my mind at this point-”
“Who said that?” You cut him off, your voice dropping to a whisper.
“Said what?”
“That I didn’t feel the same way...about you?”
At this he gently pulled you off his lap, but had you slightly turned so you’d be forced to look at him. “You’re serious? You’re not fucking with me?”
You shook your head ‘no’.
His hands went to his face again, and he tugged at his skin in excitement. The man rocked back onto his tailbone then to a standing position where he broke out into a smile. “Oh thank God,” and in his moment of pure relief, you could only awe at his features, his toothy grin, crinkled eyes and 5 o’clock shadow. “Holy shit...wait but then--why Brendon?” The actor sat down again quickly, eager to talk.
“Cause’ I was trying to convince myself that nothing was wrong and I wasn’t in love with you, because as long as one of us was not available I didn’t have the opprutunity to mess our friendship up I guess? That’s kind of my thing that’s stopping me. Being scared of losing you.”
“Why would you lose me?”
“Romantic relationships are unpredictable. I can’t flush the twelve years of my life with you down the drain if something were to happen, I don’t want to do that. I don’t want to hurt you.” You took a deep breath, your throat beginning to hurt with everything you were admitting. “An old friend once poured his heart out to me years ago. He said ‘I’ve lost people I said ‘I love you’ to. Loving people, or at least admitting out loud it makes it real. It hurts.’”
Sebastian’s face fell when he recognized his own words; a subject he’d mulled over hundreds of times. “I have a friend who said something like that, and you know what that friend’s friend said to him?” You smiled slightly at the response. “‘I think you have to lose some of yourself to feel. There has to be a negative and you’ll have to give up things you don’t want to. You have to go through a lot of bullshit to learn and find someone who won’t leave you.’”
“I can’t give you up Seb, I dont want you to be a messy breakup or the “bullshit”, I can’t lose you, I-”
“Then don’t let me be that okay? Maybe Brendon’s the negative, he’s the bullshit, what he did to you causes you to lose some of yourself, and-and now you can feel. Now you can figure it out.”
Your eyes were swelled up, a few tears trickling down your cheeks. He was desperate, trying to get of his words through to you, wanting any of them to work or be comforting.
“What if I’m the someone who won’t leave you, (Y/N)?” His voice was gentle now, pleading and tugging at your heart strings. He was sitting with his legs crossed over one another, and your legs were folded underneath you, your knees basically in his lap.
He gripped your hands, pulling them to his chest. Butterflies woke up in the pit of your stomach and your heart picked up. You looked up at him, finding his striking blue eyes in the dark immediately. They were scanning your face, then locked with yours. “One chance. That’s all we need. I’m just as scared as you are, but we can make it work. If I’m being honest  I’ve waited nine years for this, even when I didn’t know it.” one of his hands still held yours, but the other hand cupped your face, his thumb resting nearby your lips.
He looked beautiful. His cheekbones almost seemed to shimmer in the moonlight, and his mouth was pursed, still intent on watching you. The noise of the streets was only background noise in your ears, as you could only focus on his eyes. You felt like you were falling, or cliff-diving into them. Eyes you’d known for so long, but now it seemed like you could explore them even deeper.
“I really want to kiss you right now,” he whispered, teetering forward. You mirrored his movement, only slightly unsure of your actions.
God, he’s captivating.
You moved further, hands sliding to the back of his neck. His breath fanned your cheeks as you cocked your head to the side, trying to take everything in. His nose bumped yours till finally, his lips softly landed on yours.
It felt like an explosion in your chest, energy pounding through your body. His free arm wrapped around your back, willing you to press closer regardless of how you were seated. You wanted all of him, to be even closer. You ran your fingers through his hair, something you hadn’t done in since he’d fallen asleep in your lap after his breakup. That time it was in comfort, and now it was purely because you just could.
Together you moved in unison and synced movements till you felt him smile again, letting out a breathy laugh.
“What’s so funny?” Your lips curved upward when you heard him.
“Nothing’s funny.” He looked down, almost embarrassed.
“Then what is it?” Your fingers wandered up and down, linking together behind his neck.
“I’m kissing the fucking (Y/N) (Y/M/N) (Y/L/N),” he announced, radiating happiness. “And she said she loved me. Kind of indirectly.” He shifted forward so you rolled onto your back, him ending up on his hands and knees above you, kissing every part of your face he could, sending you in a fit of laughter.
“You’re gonna ruin your tux Sebastian,” you protested, shrinking up at his tickling touches. “That’s expensive.”
“I don’t care, but you might ruin your dress, so,” he leaned back, pulling you up by your hands, still glowing. “Should we-uh, head back downstairs?”
“I don’t really want to,” you said as he stepped towards you, wrapping one arm around your back, the other resting on the side of your neck. “But we should.”
“Five more minutes then?” The man suggested. “I forgot to tell you that you look really pretty, mostly because you weren’t talking to me but yeah, you do-”
“I’m gonna pretend that I wasn’t a bitch for a minute and that that didn’t happen, so, thank you.” You raised your feet a bit, leaning in to kiss him again eagerly. Your excitement only deepened, his arms tightening around you. He moved lower, pressing fleeting kisses to your jaw and neck, nipping slightly one or twice. By instinct, you tugged at his hair. “Sebastian…” you moaned quietly, eyes widening when you realized what you did.
He looked up quickly, surprised at first, then his shock quickly turned into a devilish smirk. “Well (Y/N), if you keep doing that I don’t know if I can do just five minutes, let alone go back to the party.”
“Then don’t.”
“I love that idea.”
“I love you.”

AWARD WINNING – PARTHENON BY SHOBHIT RAJAN – HOMES FOR AN ACTIVE LIFESTYLE, ESPECIALLY DURING COVID TIMES
Did you know that by 2027, India is predicted to have a million millionaires who shall own an average wealth of over INR 7 crore? The millennial millionaires would desire to revel in an upscale well-rounded, nourishing lifestyle that is uncompromising on social and economic standards. If you are one such person with such aspirations, then Parthenon wouldn’t fail you.
Raiaskaran, answers their desire through their award-winning residential property - Parthenon; 4 & 5 bhk luxe apartments in Mumbai. Pioneered by real estate stalwart Shobhit Rajan, these apartments in Andheri West are the epitome of luxury. Parthenon bagged the “Luxury Lifestyle residences of the year” & “Most Iconic Luxury project of the year” titles conferred by CNN News 18 and ET Times Now.
The spacious and airy lobby and the refreshing large size Master Decks that stretch along the entire length of the house are evidence of the tenant-centric thought that went into creating this utopian urban life in Mumbai.
However, not any luxury apartment in Mumbai can offer these rich experiences. spacious rooms and amenities.
A luxury apartment isn’t only about posh houses with floor-to-ceiling french windows, hardwood flooring, master bedroom suites etc. A luxury apartment in Mumbai should immerse you into an entertaining, high-quality community life within its premises.
Parthenon’s slew of amenities enables an active lifestyle within these premises. Ace architect Noshir Talati and his associates have embedded several amenities for all age groups.
A Grand Entrance
Parthenon extends its extravagant arms of reception to its residents via a grand entrance. The road spans 250m from the entrance into the building creating a beautiful tree lined drive to your home.
Parthenon also features an 80m large drop off point with soothing waterfall sounds, where you and your guests can facilitate a comfortable drop into the building. The drop point, like the spacious and well planned lobbies, keeps residents' privacy intact.
Internal spaces are uncompromised, lobbies are huge
Spatial luxury is a stamp of elite life in a country where urban land is scarce. Shobhit Rajan’s team has ensured residents enjoy the luxury of space.
The entry road into Parthenon leads you to a stunning airy lobby. The lobby is designed to offer a warm welcome for your visitors prompting them to wonder about the life of luxury the residents revel in. Lobbies also provide functional benefits such as filtering visitors and staff entry exits for your privacy.
Comforting homes during COVID times
During COVID times, social distancing is the need of the hour. Unnecessary house visits and door-door contact is encouraged to be avoided at all costs. It is encouraging to know that Parthenon houses separate staff quarters for the janitors and attendants. They have their own paths to carry out their various with separate entries and exits. Amid Covid’s uncertainties, Raiaskaran assures an unperturbed lifestyle at Parthenon. Over the past year, the pandemic evicted office goers from their workstations. People were pushed to work from their homes. Each of us has to alter our living spaces and lifestyles to manage professional affairs.
Working from home is an indulgence at Parthenon. Turn an unused bedroom into a productive office space. Turn the walk-in closet as an arsenal for your work accessories.
Feeling overwhelmed indoors? The airy 450 sq.ft Master Deck is a jaw-droppingly good workspace and kick back zone. The serene sea breeze from the west coast certainly shall lift your spirits. Work and leisure facing sparkling waters. Witness a beautiful landscape and sunsets from the deck.
Although homes at Parthenon are spacious enough to set up home offices, we still occasionally yearn for an office cabin and workspaces dedicated purely for work.
Here is where Shobhit Rajan shines as an example. Parthenon packs a business centre. It has a conference room in the amenities area, which you conform to according to your requirements. Every working individual can lead an unperturbed professional life without feeling overwhelmed within the apartment.
Want a break for some fresh air? Step down for a stroll within the property and enjoy its greenery and large walking spaces. The property also houses a large podium garden walking track at the first level of amenities.
Apart from all the comforting facilities within the property, there are various medical facilities and Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital not even two minutes away for any welfare assistance or emergencies.
Enhanced Benefits for Residents
Parthenon holds inside several amenities such as a sparkling covered outdoor swimming pool, gymnasium , yoga and dance centre etc. These fully-equipped recreation spots offer scope to kick back and have a relaxing weekend.
A fully fitted gymnasium faces the pool offering a peaceful view for the fitness freaks hustling inside. Moreover, the property is equipped with an aerobics and dance centre to do a swirl or two. The apartment also houses a ICC Cricket pitch for the ardent cricket fans in the property.
Fun for all across the age spectrum
Parthenon’s success lies in its inclusive design. Parthenon’s amenities cater to everyone across the entire age spectrum. Apart from favouring energetic extroverts, the apartment also has a dedicated cards room fitted with a mini theatre. Using these opportunities to socialise, residents can seamlessly bond over playing board games and movie sessions.
The luxury property also caters to kids by offering a kids room with dedicated games and a variety of fun activities. Parents requiring a quiet weekend can send their kids off here without having to worry about security. Pursuing interactive experiences is vital for kids’ cognitive development. More importantly, your kid would imbibe good values from the high-quality community life Parthenon brings to the playing table.
Fulfilling the bookworm
A luxury apartment builder must understand and fulfill needs related to their resident’s interests and hobbies. Including an organised library in the amenities area. The fully-equipped library offers peaceful space for readers indoors and outdoors at the poolside lounge.
Large Banquet Hall
What if pool parties and Master Decks are not enough? Host your party in a grand way at their spacious banquet hall. Providing warm gatherings and celebrations is an inherent quality of the Indian lifestyle.
Post activity massage and sauna
Undoubtedly, all fun and play shall cause fatigue. Each of us needs our fair share of quiet time and relaxation. Lay back and mellow down in the massage, sauna and spa centre housed within the first floor of amenities area.
Parthenon’s top-end facilities offer residents having a seamless, self-sustaining lifestyle. Although the property does not challenge the likes of touristy resorts, the residents relish a lifestyle where every living day becomes a relaxing time.

In 2020, MOTORCYCLE BACK PATCHES MAKERS and also designers have accessibility to a wide variety of new apparel designs, constructions and embellishing techniques to better serve various other sectors, especially those centering on fitness, style as well as athleisure. However, as competitors remains to warm up in these markets, stores have to tap into modern technology services that let them move at the rate of business now.<br>
As we kick off a new years, industry specialists weigh in on trends they assume will be the biggest bottom-line boosters, showing that decorated-apparel development has comprehensive influence.<br>
Physical fitness.<br>
Technology for fitness textiles has come a long way and guarantees to maintain evolving. "There's no reason for transparent trousers anymore," says Summer Barry, marketing and also creative supervisor at BELLA+CANVAS. "Women desire fabrics that make them look excellent while they exercise.".<br>
As an example, BELLA+CANVAS developed a four-way stretch construction for its 5-inch-rise, high-waisted leggings that are crafted to lift, sculpt, contour and smooth. "You can use these leggings far past the fitness center," she states. "Plus, they're side-seam totally free for an optimum print surface area.".<br>
Additionally, anticipate fun dye therapies to include fancifulness and also energy to efficiency garments. For example, Champ is presenting a mono scrunch in its Reverse Weave hoodie.<br>
Allover belt-style screen printing has actually made a return, in addition to great deals even more bling. Keep an eye out for metal, radiance, foil, smoke, orthochromatic as well as thermochromatic, as well as reflective inks. "We have actually gotten a lot of inquiries for specialty inks, particularly silver or gold glitter as well as sparkles; fake aluminum foil; and dimensional inks, such as puff," states Kieth Stevens, Western local sales manager for International Coatings. "Printers are also going back to the traditional plastisol feeling.".<br>
International Coatings recently released a new-and-improved clear gel gloss ink designed to function as an in-line aluminum foil caviar grain and also flock adhesive. The business additionally launched its FlexCure ink line, with a flexible treating variety from a reduced 275 ˚F to a typical 325 ˚F.<br>
" Low-curing inks have actually discovered a home in the marketplace as a result of today's high-synthetic-fabric components," Stevens claims. "Lower curingtemperatures can result in power financial savings and additionally aid manage color migration and also textile shrinkage.".<br>
This year, large physical fitness brand names are leaning toward utilizing non-PVC transfers that adhere to their environmental requirements. "These transfers assist offer sustainability as well as breathability, as well as they extend with the garments," says Cris Saunders, director of sales as well as advertising and marketing for Insta Graphic Systems, which uses guidebook and also automatic flatbed warm presses.<br>
The company turned out SiliconeX, a stretchy, non-PVC transfer that requires a low-temp application, causing a softer, smoother surface. "We see designers utilizing it for efficiency garments; sports and athleisure wear; team-sports equipment; and also for commercial workwear," Saunders claims.<br>
Insta additionally introduced a new heat press: Model 780 is a dual-platen automatic shuttle bus press with advanced touch-screen technology. "This press uses even warm and also pressure circulation, together with flexible operation from handbook to fully automated setting," she states.<br>
Gone are the days of full-chest decor in the physical fitness market. Today's pattern? Intriguing areas.<br>
" Look for unusual placements that in the beginning appear to be errors or unintended," states Marcus Davis, product growth supervisor at HanesBrands. Consider these brand-new places: on the elbow joint, alongside the garment or throughout the collar.<br>
" We're seeing tiny, refined branding on yokes and bases of garments," Stevens claims. "Dimensional transfers, holographic patches and also needlework are big." And also, he keeps in mind, with just-in-time production ruling the industry, transfers and also direct-to-garment (DTG) printing give excellent decoration choices.<br>
Top quality taping on garments has been prominent for a number of seasons now, so look for prints or needlework with this very same look. "Some efficiency products may not function well with published grosgrain ribbons or twills related to them as a result of their lack of stretch," Davis says. "Consider applying a straight print to these materials to accomplish the same or [a] comparable appearance.".<br>
<br>
Fashion.<br>
One-of-a-kind fabric structure and also detailing are big this year. For example, BELLA+CANVAS established a sueded fleece, created by a finishing procedure that produces a cashmere-like feel for supreme luxe charm. The firm also developed a DTG-printable fleece with a 100% cotton face and also a poly/cotton-blend fabric.<br>
Tie-dye has actually reappeared on the fashion front, with business like Alternative as well as Champion presenting brand-new styles this year. "Look for trendy color procedures that produce distinct appearances," Davis says.<br>
Excessive and also allover design on style pieces are crucial for 2020. "Lots of mixed media is popular," Barry states. "Try a small text print along the collar, or a large and also strong print down the sleeves. Whatever's fair game, including sweat t shirts' external hoods.".<br>
At retail, eye-catching, yet resilient crossbreed printing-- which incorporates display- as well as digital-printing procedures-- is an in-demand procedure that charms widely to consumers. It weds a screen-printed white underbase with electronically printed top colors. After using the white underbase, the pallet rotates under the crossbreed electronic print head. CMYK shades then obtain printed, usually wet-on-wet, in addition to the underbase.<br>
" With hybrid [publishing], totally brand-new decorations are feasible," states Michelle Moxley, development supervisor at M&R Cos. "We're seeing full-color graphics published on aluminum foil, photo-realistic lenticular as well as liquid graphics. The possibilities are limitless, especially since you can immediately color-match across brands.".<br>
A lot more interesting? Decorators can use "clever" graphics with QR- and AR-driven capabilities and variable data on each impression.<br>
DTG printing additionally is hot for retail garments. "DTG enables interactive on-site printing experiences, as well as online fulfillment," Moxley claims. "This modern technology has actually come up with the fad of customized 'unit-of-one.' Modern workflow systems have actually made the process near smooth, producing very efficient as well as successful outcome.".<br>
M&R introduced a crossbreed CMYK printer, the DS-4000, which publishes 400 pieces per hour, with graphics approximately 15 ″ x 19 ″ in a 600 x 1,200 dpi resolution. It is compatible with M&R's Stryker, Challenger III and also Gauntlet III automated screen-printing presses. On the DTG side, the firm provides the Maverick, a commercial system that publishes 120 items an hour, with graphics as much as 15 ″ x 19 ″ in a 600 x 1,200 dpi resolution.

Chapter Three - This is ‘Normal’
Read on AO3
The vet clinic is a small shop beneath the blocks of flats, its exterior plain and unassuming. It may not look like much, but Semi smiles all the same, glad to be back.
You actually like working here, don’t you?
Yeah.
A gentle beat of hesitation, a posed question. What are the people like?
He doesn’t have to think, because his co-workers are exasperatingly memorable.
Quirky. Friendly. Down-to-earth. I could introduce you to them.
You mean you’d let me pretend I don’t exist?
Shirabu sounds gleeful, and Semi frowns.
They know I was in the pilot study. They might want to meet you.
…damnit.
The sulkiness emanating from him makes him laugh, smiling as he steps into the clinic.
“Oi, who’s there?”
He feels a jerk at the back of his mind at the loud voice, but Semi rolls his eyes. “It’s just me.”
A man with messy black hair leans round the side of a door, his initial bright expression dropping as he takes in his figure. “Dude. Your hair.”
Shirabu snickers. Told you your hair was weird.
Shut up.
Semi turns back to the man. “Seriously, boss? I had brain surgery. Of course they had to shave my head.”
“Well, I expected your hair to grow back faster.”
“I had my head sliced open.”
“Still. Thought you’d dye it again or something.”
Semi can feel Shirabu buzzing with suppressed laughter, and aims a jab at him sourly.
“No point when it’s still this short.”
“Eh, you’re probably right. Makes you look a bit like Yaku, but I’ll live.”
As Shirabu wonders who this ‘Yaku’ person is, Semi snorts. “Don’t let him hear you say that.”
The messy-haired man yelps just as the words are out of Semi’s mouth, a shorter, sandy-haired man pushing the first out of the doorway and striding over to him. Shirabu watches with mild amusement as he punches Semi good-naturedly, feels the smile that spreads ear to ear.
“Hey. It’s good to have you back.”
“Likewise. I missed this place.”
The man snorts. “You can’t really have.”
He feels Semi shrug. “I like working. Lazing around at home was nice but got boring.”
“Speaking of which,” the messy-haired man leans against the doorway again, arms folded, a smirk on his face. “Aren’t you going to introduce your new friend to us?”
Semi smirks back. “He’s competent, he can introduce himself.”
Turning his thoughts inward, he prods Shirabu. Go on.
Eugh, do I have to?
They’re good people. You don’t have to talk much to them after, promise.
There’s a great deal of mumbling and sighing, but he gives in relatively quickly. Fine. Give me control.
Go ahead.
Shirabu shakes himself out, fingers twitching as full sensation floods his body. He turns to the other two, bowing. “I’m Shirabu Kenjirou. It’s nice to meet you.”
(It’s still so weird, to speak and hear not his voice but Semi’s.)
The sandy-haired man speaks first, returning his gesture. “Yaku Morisuke. I look forward to working with you.”
Oh, Shirabu thinks, this is Yaku.
The messy-haired man bows somewhat sarcastically. “Kuroo Tetsurou. Don’t mess up.”
Shirabu feels a flare of irritation, but holds his tongue. “I look forward to learning.”
Kuroo raises his eyebrows but does not comment. He claps his hands instead, pushing the door fully open. “If you want to learn, then come on. We need to open soon.”
Yaku gives him a thumbs-up as he follows Kuroo, and Shirabu follows reluctantly.
Semi taps him, gently requesting control. Kuroo's an asshole to everyone he first meets. But he’s a nice guy, really.
He passes control over with a tinge of relief. What about Yaku-san?
Yaku's stern but nice. Both of them are hard workers.
Okay.
Just 'okay'?
I’m watching and learning.
Just ask questions if you want to know something.
Okay.
Semi seems mildly irritated by the flux of ‘okay’s, and Shirabu has to hide his laugh.
-----
Shirabu’s so busy marvelling at his first real look in a vet clinic that he almost misses Yaku talking to Semi.
“So what was that rooster-head saying about me and you looking the same?”
Semi doesn’t hide his snort. “Short hair apparently makes us twins.”
“That idiot.” Yaku rolls his eyes. “Our hair isn’t even the same colour.”
“I know.”
“If you dyed it now, maybe we might, though.”
Semi laughs. “Nah. If I do that, some of the customers are going to start wondering why you keep changing heights.”
“Watch it, Semi,” Yaku warns, but there’s a mischievous glint in his eye. “I missed your joking, but not that much.”
Semi holds his hands up in surrender, but Shirabu can feel the smile he’s biting back. “Got it.”
-----
As it turns out, working is a lot different from studying.
Watching Semi work makes him feel like he is in an internship, learning something completely different, something completely out of his field of knowledge. There are a million questions burning to be asked, but he holds them back, observing and trying not to be overwhelmed.
Some things, he is familiar with – manning the reception counter, taking down names and checking appointment cards, looking for free dates for the follow-up appointments.
Some things are slightly less familiar – drugs and how often they have to be administered, smiling and greeting customers, changing the litter, food and water bowls in the cages of the pets that need to stay overnight.
Some things are completely new to him. Like surgery.
I thought you’d wear more into the surgical theatre.
You’re not wrong. Semi tucks his hair under a hairnet, hooks a mask over his ears. There’s usually more, but we’re a small clinic, so it isn’t necessary.
What’re the other parts?
There’s usually a gown and shoe covers.
What’s their function?
Of those, or everything?
Shirabu makes a noise of dissent. Everything.
Semi rolls his eyes. He knew that was coming.
A hairnet for keeping your hair out of the surgical and sterile zone. Shoe covers, so that you won’t carry any biologically hazardous material out of the theatre. Mask, so you won’t breathe germs onto the sterile area. Gown, to prevent our clothes from getting splattered with hazardous material. Gloves, for preventing contamination.
Everything more or less prevents external contaminants from getting into the sterile zone, and prevents biological hazardous material from infecting you if there is a cut somewhere on your body.
…basically to protect yourself and the patient.
Wasn’t that obvious?
They didn’t teach this to us in school.
Ugh. Go back to watching.
Surgery is fascinating, and he marvels at Kuroo's quick work while Semi assists. Their work dynamic is so smooth – surgical instruments and implements handed over with just the extension of a hand, skin pinched together while the other person sutures – that he can’t help but gape at it all.
In a moment of reprieve, Semi prods him, and he can hear the smirk in his voice. Close your mouth, you’ll catch flies.
I’m not allowed to be amazed, now?
I’m surprised you’re not disgusted by it.
It’s so fascinating. Why would I be disgusted?
Semi sounds amused. Not many people are as indifferent to the sight of blood as you.
But it’s so interesting. Look at how the organ systems connect to each other so fluidly!
His amazement is endearing, and Semi can’t help the fondness in his voice. Nerd.
Shh, let me be amazed.
Semi snorts and returns his focus to his task, but he can almost feel the sparkles and awe pouring in from Shirabu’s corner of his brain. It’s nice, he thinks, that they can get along sometimes.
-----
I think the animals hate me.
Why would they?
They are cleaning out the cages, with Semi demonstrating and allowing Shirabu to try his hand at it after. The younger is relatively good at it, and his meticulous nature makes the task easier.
They keep growling at me.
They growl at me, too.
Not really.
Yes, they do. You just have to be gentle with them. Let them smell you first, so they know what they’re dealing with.
I do!
Maybe they smell your fear.
I am not afraid.
Any hesitation you show will be picked up by them. Shirabu can feel the shrug intended for him, and grinds his teeth. Besides, these are sick animals, and we are strangers to them. It’s not unusual for them to hate us.
Maybe.
But it’s true. Semi reaches into the cage, placing new bedding and fresh water. Wild or stray animals are cautious of people, especially if they’ve been hurt before.
Have you been bitten or scratched by one before?
A snort. I’m a vet nurse, of course I’ve been scratched before. It’s just how you handle them, so that they can’t injure you.
Oh?
Yeah. We got a stray cat in once, by one of Kuroo’s friends. The cat was bleeding from its nose and couldn’t eat, and would only let the friend touch it. It wouldn’t stop growling at us, and we had to sedate it before we could find the problem.
What was the problem?
Broken hard palate. The roof of your mouth, you know? The poor thing was in so much pain.
How do you stand it? Shirabu asks. Looking at animals in pain?
That’s what we do here, he tells him. We get sick animals in, find their problem and try to alleviate their pain. It’s only different from humans because the animals are less likely to yell at us for being idiots.
They do scream and shout a lot, though. Shirabu recalls a case earlier that day, where a dog wouldn’t stop whimpering.
They’re in pain and distress, of course they’d be yelling. Semi sounds amused. Speaking of that, would you want to go to a talk sometime later this week?
What’s it about?
Anthropomorphism, or so I heard. Yaku said one of his lecturers is going to talk about it, and I thought it sounded interesting.
What’s anthropomorphism?
…I thought you were the smart one?
They didn’t teach this to us in school.
You’re not wrong, Semi comments thoughtfully. Anthropomorphism is giving animals human characteristics.
Such as?
Say, for example, a cat is hissing at you. What would you say it was feeling?
That it’s angry?
Maybe, or maybe not. Hissing is what cats do to warn predators or enemies off, and it could be because they’re being protective of their territory, they’re frightened, or they’re angry. You can’t really assume you know why it was hissing at you.
There’s silence from Shirabu, and he can almost hear him thinking. That makes sense.
So we’re going to the talk?
Sure.
Half a heartbeat later, We’re allowed to sit in on lectures like that?
Lecturers don’t take attendance.
So we could sit in on any lecture and get free education? Shirabu sounds gleeful, and Semi rolls his eyes.
If you don’t take the exam, you can’t get a degree.
But we can still learn.
You are such a nerd, have I told you that?
Only every other day. Let me dream.
-----
Working, Shirabu finds, is more or less pleasant when he doesn’t have to deal with customers. The animals, he could learn to handle. The humans, on the other hand…
I hate people, he complains, shrinking back into his corner once the payment has been made. Semi takes control back from him, idly tapping his pen on the table.
You need to get used to it.
I know, but they’re so stupid.
They are exasperatingly dense sometimes, yes.
How do you– Never mind, I forget that you’ve been doing this for a long time.
I told you it wears on you.
You didn’t say it was the people.
It’s a little of both.
He grumbles to himself, but he knows Semi's right. He has to get used to it.
He hears a loud smack from the examination room, and raises his eyes to scan the waiting room, wondering if anyone heard that.
Semi snorts.
No, that’s not nearly loud enough.
…what.
It used to be a lot worse, Semi tells him drily. Nowadays, they keep the noise down enough that you can only hear it through this little window.
Shirabu glances through the window that opens into the examination room, and immediately wants to bleach his brain.
The pet owner is in the one in blue, sitting in the leftmost corner of the waiting room, Semi comments, turning his gaze back and doodling something on the paper. Don’t worry about whatever's happening in there.
I’m– Just– Isn’t that unprofessional?
(His internal screaming is so loud but he isn’t sure if Semi can hear him or not.)
Hardly. A pair of cat ears appear on the crudely sketched circle. Kuroo's the boss, and it’s just the three of us. They can do whatever they want.
Shirabu thinks his voice sounds rather emotionless.
I’m dead inside, don’t talk to me about their PDA.
Poor you.
Not really. Semi snorts. I think you’re going to suffer more than me.
I am not looking any more.
It’s not really something you can unsee, he points out. You’ll see this more times than you can think.
Wait, what was that?
What was what?
Clean lines splitting a page, two columns filled with strikes. …a scoresheet?
Oh, that? You’re welcome to make your own.
It's almost ridiculous. You kept a scoresheet. Of your boss and colleague’s PDA escapades.
You missed a column. There was also one for violence.
Oooh, now that I want to see.
Yaku wins most of the time.
I still need to see that.
Semi lets out a small chuckle. It’s a one-in-a-lifetime experience.
Not really, if your statistics are correct.
It gets old, after you realise that Yaku always wins in a physical fight and Kuroo wins in a verbal one.
I’m curious, now.
Maybe you’ll get to see it tomorrow. It’s funny.
It happens a lot sooner than Semi anticipates.
Shirabu nearly drops the broom when he hears shouts rising from the surgical room, but at Semi's urging, slides closer to the door to listen.
“Could we not have fish for once?”
“It is only the second time this week!”
“Twice is too much!”
“Like I keep saying, you need the docosahexaenoic acid–”
“That argument is years old, and you know it!”
Shirabu feels a bubble of amusement. He knows the full name of DHA.
Kuroo’s the biggest nerd around here, Semi agrees. I think that’s how he became a vet so quickly.
Am I allowed to pester him?
You’d do it even if I said no.
I can be polite sometimes, Shirabu protests.
Of course. He sounds so condescending that Shirabu aims a mental jab at him.
It looks easy, but sometimes, the two columns of the scoresheet are horrendously difficult to mark.
Crashing has stopped. Obnoxious kissing noises begin.
Shut up.
Someone has to document this.
What do you think I did for the past year?
Work?
Maybe about thirty percent of the time.
That’s reassuring.
Twenty percent is trying not to listen to them.
There’s a low groan from the other room, and they wince simultaneously.
And the other fifty percent?
…trying not to kill them.
That seems like an awful waste of energy, Shirabu thinks.
I’ll make you a deal.
No.
You haven’t heard it yet.
It’s already a bad idea.
No, it’s brilliant, and you won’t even need to help me.
Doubtful.
I’m serious. All you have to do is let me take control and deny you knew anything.
Semi's silence is almost contemplative, and Shirabu grins.

Take the following few minutes to gather all your cleaning supplies and get going.  Tackle one room at a time. This works much better than trying to do 10 things at once. It will also give you a great sense of accomplishment to see each clean room.  Start at the top and work your way down. Use a broom or a mop with a soft cloth wrapped around it to get any spider webs and dust out of the ceiling corners. Dust the light fixtures. Keep working your way down cleaning counters, windows and windowsills, furniture. Finish by dusting the baseboards and giving the carpets a good vacuuming. Take the time to vacuum under the bed and move furniture to clean the floor under it whenever possible. Or use one of our recommended Robotic Vacuum Cleaner.

Spring Cleaning Safety Tips Make sure you dress for the job. You want to be comfortable but functional. The clothes you wear should be loose but not so loose as to catch on corners, doorknobs, or anything that could spill. If you're going to be on your knees a lot, look at investing in some knee pads. The professionals use them, and for good reason. You'll lose steam and motivation quickly if you start feeling uncomfortable. Don't forget the gloves! These can keep the germs and chemicals off your skin. The regular yellow cleaning gloves you see at any grocery store will work fine. Spring Cleaning Tips - For Your Kitchen As a notorious family gathering place, kitchens often become cluttered with everything from bills and report cards to shopping lists and fridge magnets. With spring just around the corner, it's time to say good-bye to all that clutter and Tupperware has some simple solutions to help you do it! Compress the Mess: - If there is just not enough space in your kitchen, then it's time to toss all unnecessary items. Remove objects from kitchen counters that are not essential for everyday cooking (blenders, mixers, juicers, etc.). This will make the room look more spacious and clean and will give you extra room to prepare daily meals.

Fully decorated Kitchen Shelf Fridge Feng Shui: - If items in the fridge are preventing the door from closing easily, it's time to take notice. A bonus to cleaning out the fridge is that when racks are sparkling and items are organized, it's much easier to find everything. Are you constantly throwing away spoiled food or leftovers? Avoid letting things get out of control in the future by placing food in Tupperware's FridgeSmart® or Fresh 'N Cool® containers, which maximize shelf life and minimize space. Kitchen Crackdown: - If you are prone to experiencing pangs of distress at the thought of uncluttering your kitchen, stick to one simple rule: Clean as you go. Spending 15 minutes a day clearing countertops and discarding leftovers will create a stress-free environment and allow you to keep your kitchen running smoothly. Tupperware has many useful products to help reorganize your kitchen. Pantry Antics: - Before you take a trip to the grocery store, take a good look inside your food pantry-if in doubt, throw it out! It's safe to assume that the expensive jar of Spanish olives sitting on the shelf for the last five years will never be used and the cans in the back are only useful for gathering dust. If food is stored for too long and in the wrong conditions, the freshness, quality and taste will suffer. Tupperware's Modular Mates® containers are ideal for organizing cabinets and offer the perfect solution for storing dry foods such as pasta, cereal, beans, rice and sugar. Fruit - Bowels Have bowls of fruit placed throughout your home. Not only does it add a layer of fresh fruit fragrance to your home, but it is also visually appealing and edible home decor.

Spring Cleaning Your Bathrooms When you get to the bathrooms, start by spraying some all purpose or bathroom cleaner on all the appliances, especially anything that may have some build up on it, like the soap dish in the shower. Next, pour some Clorox / Bleach in each toilet. Allow the cleaner spray to soak in while you get started on the ceiling, windows and counters. By the time you get around to the sink, shower and toilet, all you need to do is wiping them down and give the inside of the toilet a quick scrub with the brush. Towels Yes, I said towels. In your kitchen and your bathrooms you need bright, bold colors that signify spring, birth, and renewal. These little touches can make a huge difference in not only your attitude about cleaning and decorating but also your attitude about cooking. Shower-Curtain If you use those in your bathroom, switch it to a spring motive for a nice color pop.

Feng-Shui Shower Curtain Spring Cleaning & Freshen up Walls Washing the dirty walls around your house can be a huge chore. Not only is it a time consuming project, it’s physically exhausting. If you want to spiff up every nook and cranny, washing walls requires an enormous amount of reaching, stretching, contorting, and bending to clean off the layers of dust, dirt, grime, cobwebs, finger smudges, and/or greasy soot that have accumulated. Luckily, there are a few tricks that can make it easier. Cleaning Solutions Your choice of cleaners is very important and should be based on the type of wall that you are cleaning. To avoid ruining the paint job on your walls, stay away from abrasive cleaners and steel wool. Use a toothbrush for small stains that need gentle, but abrasive action. A solution of clear ammonia and water works very well. However, Ammonia has a terrible odor. Either way it is cheap and has superlative cleaning capabilities. Nevertheless, if you can’t get past the smell, there are other options. Most painted walls can be cleaned with warm water and a gentle, non-sudsy detergent. Still, you should always test the cleaning solution that you will be using on an inconspicuous area of the wall. Make sure that the solution is removing just the dirt, not the paint. Cleaning Strategy

Download Here When washing walls, dripping and streaking is inevitable. To avoid rewashing something that you have already cleaned, you should always start at the top of the wall and work your way down. Don’t forget to catch corners, trim, and baseboards as you go. To get to those hard to reach places, use a sturdy stepladder or a small portable ladder. Make sure that you choose a ladder that is both stable and appropriately sized. If you will be working in a stairwell, use a ladder that is made for uneven surfaces. Try to center the ladder directly in front of the wall that you will be washing. Over reaching or leaning too far to one side could cause you to lose your balance. These final tips can make the job of washing walls a little easier. Rid the walls and baseboards of cobwebs and dust bunnies before you begin washing. If you are using ammonia or another strong-smelling cleaning solution, make sure the room is well-ventilated. Change your cleaning solution often. When you are washing walls, the water gets dirty very quickly. To avoid streaking, wipe the walls with a dry towel after they have been cleaned. Fragrance   While most people do not realize that the fragrances we use in our homes is a type of decoration. It makes our noses happy to some degree but also the potpourri and candles are often decorations in and of themselves. Put out bowls filled with brightly colored and lightly scented fragrance balls, dried fruit, and other delights. Gourmet potpourri can be found in all kinds of gift and fragrance shops and is a rather inexpensive way to add a fragrant touch to your home decorating as well as the fragrance to cover up the cleaner smell in your home. Cleaning Down Bedding
Tumblr media
Spring Cleaning Tip: Never wash your Down Bedding! Because washing it will leave you with a flat pillow and feather-bed-covers. Most times washing those will result in clustering of down and the down feathers to break. They will lose their fluffiness and with it the ability to trap body heat. Appropriately drying a down bed set can be problematic, due to the size of comforters and feather beds. If down is not dried properly, mildew will set in, leaving you with a bad odor and a problem for allergy sufferers. So if your bed set really needs to be cleaned I advise you to find a dry cleaner that can do this task for you. Not all Dry-cleaners have equipment large enough for feather beds. Down bedding purchased within the last 3 or 4 years should be hung over a line on a warm, sunny, breezy day. Let nature refresh and rejuvenate them. Back home in Europe we would every weekend, (if the weather was nice) hang them across the window sill to air them out. After that you shake them good up to make the covers and pillows fluffy again. If this is not possible hang them over a couple of chairs near an open window. Placing comforters and pillows in a dryer will fluff up, There are also dry-cleaner Kits for your dryer available. If your down comforters, pillows and feather-beds are over 4 or 5 years old, take them to a dry cleaner. Or get one of the previously mentioned kits. That should clean and reconditioned using an all natural method which will fluff up the filling and deodorize it If you purchased a high quality down comforter, you could use it all year around. However, if you like I rather store your comforter during the hot summer nights. You better store the comforter in a cotton bag, and not a plastic bag. Take care of your down bedding by having it cleaned by a professional. Luxury quality down comforters, pillows and feather beds deserve the proper care to protect your investment so you can enjoy your down luxuries for life. Candles
Tumblr media
While briefly mentioned above they deserve their own spot among the top five to say the least. Candles can be depending on their fragrance soothing, relaxing, and invigorating. For your décor they can also be inspiring, beautiful, and elegant. Candles are great no matter what time of the year it is however, if you select candles in bright spring colors and fragrances you might be amazed at exactly how uplifting these candles can be. Cleaning a Sofa & Sofa Cushions Don't forget sofa cushions and throw pillows. These too can be cleaned/reconditioned, Some cane have extra filling added. However most of them would require opening a seam and stitching it back. I would recommend using a steam cleaner or a small wet-carpet-cleaner to clean the sofa cushions. And strip the covers of your throw pillows and wash those with your drapes and curtain. You can also try to plump up a sagging chair or sofa cushions by adding and new fill foam.  Flowers Spring is the time of flowers. They are all around us. Use fresh cut flowers and candles to create beautiful arrangement and centerpieces throughout your home.
