solar ash's bosses are so so similar to shadow of the colossus on paper but i think if you like both it's purely by coincidence. they are so frustrating. they require flawless execution, it feels like brute forcing, not like you earned taking down these huge creatures
#every boss runs on a strict timer between weak points#and the third phase has areas that one shot you so it's back to weak point one#mercifully it doesn't reset to phase 1 but shutting the game off so you don't have an epic gamer moment does#btw everything in this game one shots you because it's working on platformer logic (puts you back at a checkpoint minus one life)#which is fine i guess but it means every little mistake is instantly punished with no grace period#and because there's always an extra life pickup near the boss checkpoint (which respawns) there is no consequence?#that's why it feels like brute forcing. the game resets you as if you hadn't failed at all. like save scumming#it just feels really strange and bad and i really wanna like the game but dear god
