@lesbiancassius' (very late) february reads
yes I will do this monthly now.
books (as it turns out, I was busy. one book)
Enter Ghost, Isabella Hammad - An actor, Sonia, returns to visit her sister Haneen in Haifa and gets caught up in playing Gertrude in a Hamlet production in the West Bank. Stellar.
short fiction & poetry
Why Donāt We Just Kill the Kid in the Omelas Hole, Isabel J. Kim - obsessed with this on title alone. It has such a feel to it in the way it moves that I envy.
Parthenogenesis, Piya Patel - horror that makes me want to peel out of my skin and/or get a hysterectomy.
Eschatology, Eve L. Ewing - poem that was circulating recently and God. Fuck, dude. Yeah. Yeah.
Ouroboros, Megan Xing - The to-do lists in this got me because I was having my little freak out before my show went up where you think you can fix everything with to-do lists. Also heavily feeling replacing ineffective psych meds with yogurt, a pickle, and two advil.
I also read Cancer Buffet by Mary Hannah Terzino and Soft Opening by Elle Nash, but I was tired and donāt remember them.
(some) articles
Who Was Barbie? (A Symposium), n+1 magazine - this cemented to me that I truly, truly do not care about Barbie or the Barbie movie and if I have to hear anything about it ever again I'm smashing a bowl on purpose
A bunch of Hera Lindsay Birdās advice column, which is delightful.
Letās talk about Goodreads, Nicole Brinkley. There are many days I am glad I do not want to pursue a career as solely an author of novels. Godspeed to the authors out there you're braver than I will ever be.
Saving a Life, Patricia Lockwood - my god I have got to read a Patricia Lockwood book, and also my god getting grievously ill on vacation is one of my greatest fears so this one made me a little bit crazy.
The Secret Life: On the poet Molly Brodak, Patricia Lockwood - again, my god, I need to read a Patricia Lockwood book.
A Final Checklist Before You Print up Your Play, Rick Roberts - this reminded me so much of Joshua McGuireās Rules For Writing Libretto, which I think of a lot.
āI think the word is dignityā ā Rachel Corrieās Letters from Gaza ā I donāt know what to say. Read these if you can. Theyāre striking.
The Sexual Status of Aeschylusā Cassandra, Paula Debnar - I can put an academic paper here you're not the boss of me. why I opened this one I don't remember but I was fervently texting friends in the middle of a certainly unrelated class about it because I've never been normal about Kassandra and Klytemnestra and I'm not going to start now.
tv/movies
Rewatching Severance, slowly.
Rewatching Sort Of, less slowly - this is probably niche to non-Canadian readers but it is a very good show.
Watched The Prince, which was a long time coming, and then wrote a paper about it. Bless.
tbr/nightstand
in the midst of Salvage the Bones, which is of course very good
Helen of Troy: from Homer to Hollywood
I'm gonna be rereading like every play off my Shakespeare class syllabus for the final which I wish I was more excited about

1.Ā RecognizeĀ theĀ syllabusĀ andĀ examĀ patternĀ GainingĀ aĀ comprehensiveĀ graspĀ ofĀ theĀ ISROĀ exam'sĀ syllabusĀ andĀ formatĀ isĀ theĀ firstĀ stepĀ towardsĀ succeedingĀ inĀ it.Ā GraduatesĀ ofĀ engineeringĀ programs,Ā includingĀ mechanical,Ā electrical,Ā andĀ computerĀ scienceĀ engineering,Ā areĀ theĀ mainĀ audienceĀ forĀ theĀ ISROĀ test.Ā ThereĀ areĀ twoĀ partsĀ toĀ theĀ exam:Ā aĀ writtenĀ examĀ andĀ anĀ interview.
WrittenĀ Exam:Ā TheĀ writtenĀ examĀ consistsĀ ofĀ 80Ā questionsĀ thatĀ mustĀ beĀ answeredĀ inĀ 90Ā minutesĀ andĀ isĀ usuallyĀ objectiveĀ inĀ nature.Ā BasedĀ onĀ yourĀ engineeringĀ specialty,Ā theĀ questionsĀ areĀ primarilyĀ technicalĀ withĀ aĀ littleĀ amountĀ ofĀ generalĀ ability.Ā Interview:Ā ShortlistedĀ candidatesĀ forĀ anĀ interviewĀ afterĀ passingĀ theĀ writtenĀ examĀ areĀ evaluatedĀ onĀ theirĀ technicalĀ knowledge,Ā problem-solvingĀ skills,Ā andĀ comprehensionĀ ofĀ fundamentalĀ ideas.
2.Ā ReinforceĀ YourĀ FoundationsĀ TheĀ ISROĀ testĀ isĀ renownedĀ forĀ placingĀ aĀ strongĀ focusĀ onĀ foundationalĀ engineeringĀ ideas.Ā ISRO'sĀ methodĀ guaranteesĀ thatĀ applicantsĀ haveĀ aĀ solidĀ understandingĀ ofĀ theĀ fundamentals,Ā inĀ contrastĀ toĀ otherĀ competitiveĀ testsĀ thatĀ couldĀ placeĀ aĀ heavyĀ emphasisĀ onĀ advancedĀ themes.Ā ItĀ isĀ thereforeĀ essentialĀ thatĀ youĀ reviewĀ yourĀ undergraduateĀ textbooksĀ andĀ classĀ notes.Ā TheĀ foundationĀ ofĀ theĀ technicalĀ syllabusĀ consistsĀ ofĀ topicsĀ likeĀ digitalĀ electronics,Ā fluidĀ mechanics,Ā thermodynamics,Ā andĀ algorithms.Ā MakingĀ briefĀ notesĀ forĀ everyĀ topicĀ mightĀ facilitateĀ speedyĀ modificationsĀ inĀ theĀ finalĀ fewĀ weeksĀ leadingĀ upĀ toĀ theĀ test.
3.Ā GetĀ ExperienceĀ withĀ PastĀ Years'Ā PapersĀ OneĀ ofĀ theĀ mostĀ importantĀ preparationĀ strategiesĀ forĀ theĀ ISROĀ testĀ isĀ toĀ practiceĀ previousĀ year'sĀ papers.Ā ItĀ familiarizesĀ youĀ withĀ theĀ formatĀ ofĀ theĀ testĀ andĀ aidsĀ inĀ comprehendingĀ theĀ kindĀ andĀ degreeĀ ofĀ difficultyĀ ofĀ theĀ questions.Ā ConsistentĀ practiceĀ mightĀ alsoĀ helpĀ youĀ recognizeĀ keyĀ conceptsĀ thatĀ areĀ testedĀ often.Ā AnotherĀ importantĀ skillĀ thatĀ mayĀ beĀ developedĀ byĀ completingĀ theseĀ tasksĀ inĀ theĀ allottedĀ timeĀ isĀ timeĀ management.Ā ItĀ aidsĀ inĀ developingĀ theĀ quicknessĀ andĀ precisionĀ neededĀ toĀ successfullyĀ answerĀ theĀ objectiveĀ questions.

nerd!megumi x fem reader part three ā feeding you horny ppl because this is one of my most liked and requested one! hope you enjoy <3
nerd!megumi who always tutors you before every major exam. teaches you in a more effective method. "listen, y/n," he grabbed your attention, spinning you around in your chair so you'd face him, his hands on both sides of your handrest, trapping you, "let's play a game, shall we? everytime you get an answer right, i take a particle of my clothes off. and if you're wrong, you take them off."
a sly smirk would be plastered on his face by how hard you were trying to get all the answers correctly. by now, you were just in your panties and matching bralette, and he was in his sweatpants, frurstrating tears welled up in your eyes from not being able to remember the simple math formulas that were so easy for you before, but now you need help to learn.
nerd!megumi who cooes you, strokes your hair and calms you down as you cry about your math struggles. you hugs you tightly and doesn't let go till your breathing and heart rate is normal again. but it's difficult to slow down your heart rate when you're on his lap, his large long hands under your hoodie calming you down as he whispered the softest, nicest compliments into your ear.
"shh..shh...it's okay, it's okay. it's just a math problem," he laughed airly, as he hugged you tighter, "your too smart for it, butterfly. come on, clean yourself up," he said, leaning back to look at your red swollen face, and puffy nose, your lips glossy from drool and your eyes bloodshot, "then we can cuddle, watch star wars, and have ice cream, hmm?" you shot him a small smile as you wiped your face with the back of your hand. "you look so pretty when you cry..."
nerd!megumi who sends you nudes in the middle of your lecture.
Megs <3
Attachment : 1 image. do you like it? sent 11:05am
him shirtless, with wet hair, his glasses fogged up and he's only covered by the thin towel that hangs lowly on his waist, showing his v-cut. your eyes trailed down to his abs, water droplets coat him and you hope it was you.

Megs <3
you don't like it? Attachment : 5 new images. sent 11:25am
this time the towel was gone. his pink tip was wet and his cock huge. one of his large hand covered his cock and you closed your eyes, feeling the heat grow between your thighs.
"ms. y/n, can you repeat anything i just said, or is your entire syllabus written on your phone?"
nerd!megumi who goes to the dean demand that your teacher stop being so unprofessional and rude towards you. megumi who asks you to step outside, and threatens the dean, "i'm your top student, aren't i?" he pushed his glasses up, the dean shifted nervously on his seat. megumi stayed quiet, waiting for his answer.
"yes."
"then you know if i say something out in the public, how deeply it would effect your college. teachers would get fired, i wonder if you will even stay. especially with your affair with the assistant teacher of mrs. passwater." he smirked, the dean's eyes widened as he opened his mouth but megumi put his finger up, shushing him, "who is fifteen years younger than you. keep mr. suguro's gaze out of y/n, and i will keep my mouth shut." megumi, who comes out of the dean's office with the most unreadable of expression, "wanna get waffles, butterfly?"
nerd!megumi who is so nervous when he's metting your parents. "do you think they will like me?" he sighed, "maybe i should've worn the suit. maybe the hoodie was bit too casual." he mumbled, fixing unknown creases from his hoodie as you held his hand. "i love you so much, you know that?" you smiled at him, kissing his temple as he blushed furiously, "i hope you love me like the way i love you." he sighed, his deep blue eyes growing a little sad as you kissed his cheek.
"i love you, too, megs. you don't have to doubt my love, be like anakin." he smirked, as you smiled cheekily. your parents definately hit it off with megumi. they ate every joke, every observational comments, and they, of course, loved the fact that he was so good at his studies... and that he was rich. "they love youuuuu!" you said happily, hugging him, "we should get married." his eyes widened as you gasped, "after we graduate. and have our careers on the ground."
"i'd marry you any day." he said, mumbling against your lips, "i love you."
"i know."

i feel OVERWHELMED by how much there is left to do but okay i am going to try to make a list of big-picture things i need to do as my last act before i switch into weekend mode.
(1) background research on decolonial methods & settler-colonialism in the academy.
what have I already done? i read eve tuck chapters/articles + ebony and ivy + assorted readings from the Academics for Black Wellness syllabus. i also found some sample projects for early seminar activities.
what do I need to do before the semester begins? read big chunks of leigh patelās decolonizing educational research and linda tuhiwai smithās decolonizing methodologies: research and indigenous peoples. figure out which sections I want to assign vs. which can be made available as additional resources. locate additional projects (maybe especially arts-based projects) and reflect on how to introduce & contextualize them in seminars. research land acknowledgments and think about how i might incorporate place-based writing into our early values assignments.
what limitations do I need to accept? a lot of this material & these methodologies are new to me and I canāt expect to be able to teach this material competently at this stage in my own learning process. so i need to think about what i can responsibly integrate into the syllabus, and i also need to think about how to introduce the material so that itās clear i am not claiming expertise here. i have downloaded a ton of additional ebooks and articles but i need to gently rein in my own impulse to dive into deeper reading/research right now bc i am already spreading myself pretty thin. this can be a longer-term project for the academic year.
(2) create syllabus.
what have I already done? as of today (!) I think I have finished compiling the list of possible readings. this was a huuuge research undertaking and is part of why iāve been feeling so frazzled lately, because iāve just been reading like crazy trying to draw together all these different threads. i could easily go on like this for another month but i think that it is good to give myself a temporary stopping point. SO i am going to try to pause here and to focus on working with what i already have on the table.
what do I need to do before the semester begins? I need to decide what the thematic/methods clusters are going to be, based on the possible readings Iāve gathered. I need to make decisions about what will be required readings vs. what can be part of the constellation of further readings around the core texts. once iāve made the core text / additional text distinctions i need to start making decisions about sequencing; this will also require me to begin reaching out to our speakers about scheduling. i also need to actually create the physical form of the syllabus, lol, which always ends up taking longer than i expect and seems to inevitably be something i finish the night before classes start. but hopefully i can get that out of the way earlier to give myself some breathing room.
what limitations do i need to accept? basically just scheduling limitations. right now i think i tentatively want the 3x/month seminar schedule to look something like this: first a theory/methods-focused week where we introduce the core readings for the month; then an āapplied theoryā week where we study and discuss different engaged scholarship projects that are using or are in conversation with the theoretical work; and finally a speaker week where we invite in a scholar or community practitioner to share their work. this means i will basically have september, october, and november, plus any pre-semester preparation i ask them to do in august and any wrapping-up work i ask them to do in december. so that imposes natural limitations on how much i can tackle in the semester: basically i can have three thematic clusters, with the possibility of some spinoff events for students who are interested in delving more deeply into any of the topics.Ā
(3) make final-ish decisions about course structures.
what have I done already? a lot of brainstorming about possible structures for the virtual classes; drafting of initial writing prompts; brainstorming about different forms the āproject logsā can take (i donāt want to use that phrase but need to think about how i want to describe the thing i want them to create). iāve also done a lot of thinking about community-building in virtual environments.
what do I need to do before the semester begins? i need to take all that brainstorming and begin to actually make some decisions. i have already been working with my returning students on this in an informal capacity, but i want to see if i can set up a meeting or two with several of them so i can get feedback on which structures they prefer and why. i think my sense of what i need to get done here will be clearer after iāve made those syllabus decisions, so i wonāt worry too much about listing it out now. i do think i need to set aside at least one full week to make these decisions and to just experiment with different possibilities.
what limitations do I need to accept? this isnāt exactly a limitation, but a warning to myself: I need to think about how I can balance setting expectations with inviting students into the process of designing course structures. my instinct is to solidify things right away because that will make me feel more comfortable and in control, but i need to gently resist this impulse because i know itās not good teaching. so: as i move forward i want to consciously focus on keeping things flexible/loose and building in lots of opportunities for the students in the program to make choices for themselves or to self-determine how they want to fulfill program expectations. to think further!Ā Ā
(4) wrap things up with my graduated seniors. gotta schedule their showcase event, figure out what that looks like in a virtual environment, and make sure all rec letters etc are in. need to set a reminder for myself to do this next week so i donāt let it slip until August.
ugh there are definitely other things i need to do but i think i will just focus on the above things for July (the next three weeks), then reassess on August 1.

recently I've been struggling with me gender identity and I found a support group on campus that I would like to continue going to, unfortunately I have class at the time the group meets, so there's no way I can go every week. Do you think my professor would understand if I sat down and talked to her and tried to get something worked out where I can go sometimes? Is that just wishful thinking?
the thing with wishful thinking is that itās harmful only when you put everything into those options. so hence a lot of things.
so first, go to your like advisor or couselor, basically whoever keeps track of your academic credits, your qualification for scholarships & grant money, etc. this is to figure out whether you can afford to drop this class.
so i do not know your financial situation & how much college funding is contingent on taking that class. i will say that it sounds like a good idea to go to that group because if your health is impaired then so is your academic performance. hence, go to that faculty member.
while itās probably overkill, Iād also discuss leaves of absence with your counselor (mental health regarding managing your gender dysphoria & or whatever). i do not know how this would impact your scholarships, but still. i do not know whether youād be able to attend support groups & it would be like a full leave from all classes & youād still need to be superactive in order to maintain your stamina. itās like a nuclear option, but itās an option. could be helpful if your dysphoria is intense.
regarding discussion with your professor, I donāt think you need to specifically bring up the lgbt+ support group, as much as say something unexpecred came up that will interfere wjth your ability to continue attending classes on that day & continuing classes on that day will interfere with your ability to complete your coursework for that class.
IDK what could be arranged for accomodations, but definitely find someone who can give you notes. also read your syllabus so maybe you can do a q&a over the material/homework. if you got groupwork, then that can get awkward, but still.
another method might be trying to figure out how to get something similar to the support group. maybe group chat or social services or something? like sometimes support group friends chat outside the group, so something more like that until you can schedule that group into your academic itinerary? if you got to basically wait until classes are up before attending, then i hope you get to go like next term. (also consider taking only 1 class if youāre about to graduate & class enrollmentitill qualify you for that extracurricular.)
good luck, peace & love, eve

The Beginning: Psychology and the Law (Killing Eve Fic) Chapter 8
AO3 Link Chapter [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] [7]
Chapter 8: Casual [Explicit]
Eve ended up staying with Oksana for two days. She wanted to stay longer, but Oksana ultimately told her that she was annoying and smelled and needed to go home. Which both embarrassed Eve and made it clear to her that Oksana was back to her usual self. She was also no longer taking pain meds, although she was still limping a bit and Eve had caught a few glimpses of the brilliant bruises on her right hip and thigh.
So she left. She continually checked in via text and fortunately Oksana always responded and without enough delay to worry Eve. So she felt fine. She did. She didnāt see Oksana, though. But that was fine. It was.
A few days later, the Sunday night before the start of classes, Oksana texted Eve for the first time herself.
Itās our last night of freedom and Iām better now. Letās go out.
Eveās stomach flipped. She didnāt miss Oksana or anything, but it really would be nice to do something fun before getting back into the swing of work.
Sounds great.
Oksana met Eve at the bar. She was dressed more casual than usual, in looser, flowing pants and flat shoes that Eve had never seen before. Eve wondered if she was still sore, but she walked just fine and when she settled onto a stool it was with apparent ease.
She smiled when she saw Eve, a normal, genuine smile that Eve hadnāt really seen in a while. There had been the dopey grins when sheād been on the pain meds, but that wasnāt the same. It felt really good to see and Eve felt a tension release from her shoulders that she hadnāt even known she was carrying.
Oksana hugged her and that was the real surprise. Sheād done it once or twice in the past, but it was still strange, especially given the discomfort and slight awkwardness that had hovered since Eve had been a total shit.
āHello nursemaid,ā Oksana said jokingly, as she sat down. āItās good to see you.ā
They both ordered drinks and then Oksana turned to Eve, drumming her fingers on the bar counter, looking at her expectantly.
āUm, how are you?ā she asked.
āGood,ā Oksana nodded. āMuch better.ā
āIām glad. Really glad.ā
āHow are you? Ready for classes?ā
āGood. I guess Iām ready. The break has been nice, but I think I need the routine.ā
āYes, I agree. Iām not sure Iām entirely ready to deal with the students, but itāll be good to do something.ā
āYou donāt like them.ā
Oksana scrunched up her face. āTheyāre idiots. Last term one of them asked me what the difference between sociology and social psychology was.ā
āThatās a reasonable question.ā
āFor the start of the term, sure. I told them on the very first day of class. Syllabus day, in fact. But they asked me more than halfway through the term. Do they just not pay any attention? Do they just forget everything?ā
Eve gave her a look. āDonāt be an ass, Oksana.ā
Oksana threw up her hands. āIām not, it was a stupid question!ā
āThere are no stupid questions.ā
āPeople say that, but I donāt believe it.ā
āWhat did you say? Did you answer it?ā
āWell, yes. I stared him down, but I did answer. As a professor, Iām supposed to answer all question. Itās how I get good ratings.ā
Eve looked down at her lap. The last sentence was pretty snarky but Eve deserved it.
āThatās probably true. What is your definition, then?ā
Oksana gave her a highly critical look. āYou donāt know?ā she asked incredulously. āI had much higher expectations, Eve.ā
Eve rolled her eyes. āOf course I have my own definition. Iām just curious what yours is. Definitions vary.ā
āWell I say that sociology focuses on general theories about groups and societies while social psychology is more about individuals and what they have in common with each other that makes them susceptible to social influence.ā
āI agree.ā Oksana nodded, seemings satisfied. āAnd thatās why you prefer teaching the social and personality classes, rather than sociology stuff. And why you liked your jury selection job.ā
Oksana studied her, as if she was trying to decide on how much of an answer she wanted to give. āYes. And why I donāt like the clinical and abnormal classes you teach.ā
āBecause you think theyāre boring?ā
āI suppose.ā She paused and stared ahead of her at the bottles behind the bar, absently tracing a finger around the edge of her glass. āAnd they bother me a little.ā
That surprised Eve. āWhy?ā
Oksana ran her tongue along the edge of her teeth. āI donāt know. They just do.ā
It didnāt feel like an entirely honest answer and Eve really wanted to get a better one but she felt like she was on somewhat thin ice with Oksana and didnāt think pushing it was a good idea. āOkay, well I like them. Iām happy to teach more than my share of them.ā
Oksana looked over at her with a smile and a nod. āGo team.ā
āāā-
They talked for a long time and the conversation flowed as easily as it ever had, maybe even more so. At some point, Eve heard the bartender make the last call and she looked at her watch in disbelief.
āItās...already one.ā
Oksana laughed lightly. āI guess it is. Time flies.ā
āWe didnāt even really drink at all.ā
āDistracted, I guess. We had a lot of catching up to do.ā Oksana was looking at her Eve as she said it and her stare was penetrating, but not in the way Eve had often seen. It wasnāt the one she gave Eve when she was angry or when she seemed like she was staring deep into Eveās soul and could probably read her every thought.
It was almost soft.
āYeah, we did.ā
āA little rude of us. We should tip well.ā Oksana looked as if she expected Eve to say something else, but she didnāt know what that would be. Oksana made a popping sound with her lips and said, āDo you want to come back to my place? I have wine, we can actually drink and finish our conversation.ā
āSure, that sounds good.ā
Oksana nodded, placed some money on the counter and got up from her seat to make her way towards the door. Eve followed.
Theyād gone to the bar around the corner from Oksanaās place, the one theyād intended to go to the night of the fight, so it was just a short walk to get back to her apartment. Oksana headed towards the kitchen while Eve shrugged off her coat, draped it over the back of the coach, and sat down. She set two glasses of wine on the table in front of them and then joined Eve on the coach, tucking her legs up under her.
Silence fell between them, the earlier ease of conversation from the bar somehow gone.
Finally, Oksana spoke. āAsk me a question.ā
āWhat?ā
āA question. Ask me something. What would you want to know about me?ā
āUm...what is your favorite color?ā
Oksana scrunched up her face. āThat is a terrible question, Eve.ā She sighed. āPink. My favorite color is pink.ā
Eve snorted. āSeriously?ā
Oksana looked insulted. āYes. Pink. Whatās your favorite color?ā
āI donāt know. Navy blue?ā
āThatās boring. Just like your question.ā
āFine, whatās a good question?ā
āWhen was the last time you masturbated?ā
Eve blushed bright red and looked across the room in the opposite direction of Oksana.
āExcuse me? Thatās personal.ā
āPersonal is interesting.ā
āI...the day before yesterday.ā Eve didnāt know why she actually answered.
āHmm. I masturbated this morning.ā
Eve looked over at her. She seemed entirely calm, a bit entertained. Not at all flustered like Eve was.
āI didnāt ask.ā
āNo, but itās only polite to answer as well.ā
āNothing about this conversation is polite.ā
āThere is nothing wrong with talking about sex, Eve. People are too uptight.ā Eve sighed. āOkay, now ask me a question. A better question.ā
āHow many women have you brought home?ā She had no idea why she asked the question and was pretty sure she might not actually want the answer.
āI do not know. There have been many.ā
The answer triggered an unidentifiable feeling in Eveās chest. Some combination of frustrated...flustered...uncomfortable...something else.
āI suppose itās your turn,ā she said, by way of a response.
Oksansa was quiet for awhile.
āWhat would you do if I kissed you?ā Her voice was quiet, flat. She stared straight ahead of her, her face entirely unreadable.
āIā¦ā Eve paused. It was the moment where she had to make a decision. She couldnāt hedge, couldnāt give a half answer. She had to decide. She wished Oksana had an expression, wished she could tell if she was serious or if she was teasing. Wished she could tell if she was asking because she just wanted to know if Eve liked her or if she wanted to know if it was a two-way street.
Eve took a deep breath and decided.
āI would kiss you back.ā
Oksana looked at her with a sharp turn of her neck and in just that instant she had come alive with emotion, her eyes were on fire, her lips parting. Before Eve knew it, Oksana was on her knees in front of Eve and her face was cupped in Oksanaās hands.
And Oksana was kissing her. And she kept kissing her. And kissing her. She didnāt stop, not like the last time.
It was Eve who broke away. āI was mad about New Yearās,ā she said in a rush.
Oksana looked dazed. āWhat?ā
āWhen I yelled at you about the ratings. I was mad about New Yearās.ā
āYou were mad that I kissed you?ā
Eve shook her head. āNo, I was mad that thatās all you did.ā Oksana didnāt respond, she looked like she was processing Eveās words very slowly. āI was mad that you kissed me and then just left and kissed a bunch of other girls instead of...I thought something else was going to happen. I know it certainly does with the other women you find.ā
āOh. Why didnāt you just say that?ā
āI...think itās only really sinking in now.ā
āI would have gone home with you that night if youād asked. Telling me that would also have been much better than the yelling.ā
āI donāt know, I was just...annoyed. And frustrated. And I couldnāt pinpoint exactly why until now. Until, well, until you just...kissed me like that.ā
Oksana grinned and her settled her hands on the couch on either side of Eveās waist, pushing her onto her back. She leaned over Eve, their chests bumping lightly together, their faces inches apart. āWould you feel better if you got some, too?ā
Eve swallowed hard, her pulse pounding in her ears. āProbably.ā
Oksana leaned in, lips brushing Eveās ear. āYes or no, Eve? Would you feel better if you got some, too?ā
Eve let out a small gasp at the just the slight contact and she cursed herself for the reaction.
āYes.ā
Her lips were on Eveās neck, just below her ear, kissing down across her neck, under her jawbone. Eveās hands found their way to Oksanaās waist slipping up the back of her sweater. Her fingers ran over the divets in her lower back and then the shallow bumps of her spine, made more prominent by the way she was bent over Eveās body.
Oksanaās lips found their way back to Eveās and before Eve knew it her fingers had slipped down to the button of Eveās pants, undoing it and then pausing, all her fingers splayed out along the skin just under her waistband. It was the lightest touch, but every one of Eveās nerve endings screamed out at it.
Then Oksana pulled back, face becoming serious. āThis needs to be casual, Eve.ā
āOf course.ā
āBecause, you know, I told you I donāt do relationships.ā
āThatās fine.ā
āYouāre really sure? Because people say that and then they change their minds and things get weird.ā
āI told you, Iām not jealous. I just...yeah I wanted some, too. Iām just really fucking into you and itās been driving me crazy.ā
āOkay, but I need to make sure that-ā
āSeriously, Oksana, itās fine.ā Eve was starting to get frustrated, in more ways that one. āPlease just fuck me, I swear to god youāve been teasing me for months.ā
Oksana looked utterly delighted and planted her hands on either side of Eveās head, pressing their hips flush against each other. Eve could feel her breath on her lips as she spoke. āOh, honey, Iāve been teasing you since the moment we met.ā
Before Eve could come up with a response, Oksana was kissing her again. Her teeth were on Eveās lip and her tongue was pressing into Eveās mouth and it was hard and passionate and fantastic.
Oksana shifted herself to kneel above Eve. She pinched Eveās hips tight between her knees to make space for her hands to travel back down to the top of Eveās pants. This time, though, she didnāt pause and her hands slid under the fabric, cupped Eveās ass, her nails biting into Eveās skin.
For just a moment Eve gasped into Oksanaās mouth, but then she was caught up in the kiss again, caught up in Oksanaās lips and teeth and tongue. She could barely breathe pure air, but in no way did she want to. All she could want, all she could focus on was Oksana, her breath, her taste, her touch.
Oksanaās hands slid lower under Eveās pants pulling them down along with her underwear in a single movement. Her thumbs traced Eveās hip bones as she did so and the touch sent a shock through Eveās stomach and spine. Her hips jerked involuntarily up into Oksanaās hands and Oksana laughed into the next kissed that followed.
Her pants were gone, her shoes kicked across the room in a frantic motion, and Oksana pressed a knee between Eveās legs. Eve groaned as soon as she felt the pressure directly against her, bucked her hips, no longer caring how unbelievably desperate she seemed.
Oksanaās hands came forward and tangled themselves in Eveās hair. Her grip was tight, almost painful, and she pulled Eve harder into the kiss, if that was even possible. Eve jutted her hips against Oksanaās leg, craving the contact, needing more. And Oksana let her, held her position firm, let Eve press against her.
But that was all she did. Until Eve begged.
āOksanaā¦ā Eve whimpered. Her name was muffled, it barely broke through the kiss that had preceded it. But Oksana heard and she pulled back to look at Eve. Her face was flushed, as much as Eveās surely was, and light danced in her eyes. āPlease,ā Eve mumbled.
Oksana grinned, wider than Eve had ever seen and she dipped her head forward once more to bite Eve on the lip hard before moving to Eveās neck, kissing along her jawbone. And she pulled a hand from Eveās hair and pushed it between her legs.
Eve was wet, incredibly so, and Oksana fingers slid against her with ease. Eve gasped before they even found their place on her clit and once they did. Oksana was firm with her movements, not harsh, but incredibly precise, and the overwhelming sensation of it shot through Eveās brain like wildfire.
She lasted barely any time at all and she would have been ashamed at how easily she came for Oksana if she hadnāt been so desperate, hadnāt needed it for so long. She didnāt have the capacity to care how pathetic she might look.
She opened her eyes and Oksana was smirking at her. Once she saw Eve looking, she pulled her fingers away from her and raised them to her lips, where she slowly began to lick them one by one, never breaking eye contact. Eve watched her. She was still breathing hard and the sight of Oksana, that look on her face, tongue slipping across her fingers to lick Eve off of them, that sight didnāt help.
Suddenly she was struck by a new desire, a fierceness that settled over her body and mind and she sat up. Her hands landed against Oksanaās shoulders and she pushed her back against the arm of the opposite side of the couch. Oksanaās hand dropped to the side, wet fingers forgotten. Ā Her eyes had gone wide and the cheeky grin, her self-satisfied look of control was gone. Eve had actually surprised her.
āWhat are you going to do, Eve?ā Her voice was an octave higher than normal, her breathing strained.
āWell, obviously Iām going to fuck you. Make sure you come as well. Itās only polite, right?ā It was Eveās turn to bask in the satisfaction of looking down at the other and watch her facial features twitch in response.
āOnly polite,ā Oksana murmured.
āYeah, thatās it,ā Eve said moving forward to brush her lips against the sensitive skin below Oksanaās ear, āJust polite. Not like I desperately want it or anything. Not like Iām dying to touch you. Put my hands on you. Get my tongue between your legs and run it along the places you are most in need of pleasure. Hear what sounds you make when I do that.ā
Oksanaās fingers dug into Eveās waist and her eyelashes fluttered. āEve...ā It was almost, but not quite, a moan. Eve vowed she would make it into one before the night was out.
Her hands found the bottom of Oksanaās sweater and tugged it up. Oksana obediently ducked her head and slipped her arms out, reaching up towards Eveās face as soon as they were free.
āTake yours off too, Eve,ā Oksana said. Her voice was breathy, her pupils blown. She reached out a hand and trailed her fingertips down the front of Eveās blouse. āI want to see you, I should have torn this off of you ages ago.ā Eve pulled it over her head and tossed it aside. She bent back down over Oksana, intending to kiss her again, but Oksanaās hands wrapped around her back to fiddle with the clasp of her bra. āNo, Eve. Everything. I want to see everything, all of you.ā
Oksana finished with the clasp and then moved slower, a finger tracing under each strap, studying Eveās reaction as she did so. Then she seemed to lose her patience. She flicked the straps off Eveās shoulders and let the bra fall so her hands could cup Eveās breasts. She held Eveās gaze for a while after that before letting her eyes travel down Eveās body. She sucked in her breath and her grip on Eveās breasts tightened.
āYouāre gorgeous, you know.ā
A smile played on Eveās lips. āYouāre one to talk. Iāve tried, without success, not to look at you for however long Iāve known you. But, I mean, how can someone not? I kind of hate you for it.ā
Oksana grinned. āIāve heard that before but I donāt think thatās true. I donāt think you hate me. I think you desire me.ā She rolled her hips against Eveās and Eve huffed out a breath, pressing her lips against Oksanaās neck.
āYes, well the desire is infuriating.ā
āWell, then youāll just have to satisfy it, wonāt you?ā Eve couldnāt breathe. She pulled back to look at Oksana. She'd meant what she said. It was infuriating. Oksana was infuriating. But she wanted her more than sheād ever wanted anything. Oksana clasped her hands behind her head. āDonāt you want a better view, Eve?ā She wiggled her hips and pressed her chest out towards Eve, showing off the red lace of her bra. Thin and revealing, certainly, but still more coverage than Eve wanted.
She tore it off of Oksana and her lips and tongue were on Oksanaās nipple before the garment was even fully untangled from Oksanaās wrists. Oksana gasped and arched her back up against Eveās mouth. Eveās sudden movement had clearly taken her by surprise, the self-assured, overly confident demeanor once again knocked to the side, at least for the moment. Her hands settled in Eveās hair, not pulling, just winding through, making contact.
āI like your hair,ā she mumbled. Eve lips broke from Oksanaās skin briefly when she smiled but then they were back and Oksana gasped again. Eve reached up to toy with Oksanaās other nipple and allowed her kisses to travel to the side of her breast. She moved across the curve of it, just as round and perky as sheād always imagined from the way she dressed, but even more incredible when the woman was naked below her, with Eveās lips upon her.
Eveās mouth pressed down onto Oksanaās sternum and traveled down in a straight line across her stomach, down towards her belly button. Oksanaās hips arched up as she moved lower. Satisfaction and lust swept through Eveās stomach.
She placed firmer, deeper kisses into the crevices above Oksanaās hipbones and then she hooked a thumb under each side of her waistband and pulled Oksanaās pants off as roughly as Oksana had removed hers. Oksanaās fingers clenched tight in Eveās hair when she did so.
Eve grabbed Oksanaās knees and pushed them up so they were bent on either side of Eveās head and Oksana's legs were spread before her. Her mouth moved to her thigh, traveling down ever so slowly, one single, soft kiss at a time.
Oksana glared down at her. āIs this punishment? Because I teased you?ā
āYes. And not just when you were fucking me before, you said you were teasing me for months.ā
Oksana rolled her eyes. āYou were teasing me, too.ā
āNo, I wasnāt. Not on purpose.ā
āYouāre not that dense, Eve.ā
āApparently I am.ā
Oksana slammed her head back against the arm of the couch. āGod, Eve, shut up. You said youād make up to me. Make up to me.ā
Eve grinned and placed a single kiss just above Oksanaās clit. Oksana slammed a fist into the couch cushion.
āEve-ā
Eve interrupted the beginning of her next objection. āHappy to.ā
And then Eveās tongue was on Oksanaās clit for real and Oksana whimpered as soon as she felt it. Her hands were back in Eveās hair, pulling much harder than before. It hurt but it was a very satisfying pain, a clear indication of Oksanaās pleasure and her desperation.
Eve swept her tongue up, down, circled it. She brought a hand between Oksanaās legs and ran a finger lightly across her entrance. Oksana shuddered. It was almost teasing, and it would have been if Eve had kept at it for more than a fraction of a second, but instead it was just a ghost of her previous taunting because she quickly slipped two fingers in.
And Oksana cried out.
Her hips bucked against Eve and her eyes clenched tighter closed. āFaster,ā she whispered. Eve obliged.
Any embarrassment Eve may have felt for how quickly she had orgasmed under Oksanaās hand disappeared when Oksana came almost as quickly. It was intensely satisfying. She relished in the evidence that Oksana had been just as wanting, that it seemed she had been waiting for it just as long and desperately as Eve had. Eve watched the last of the orgasm fade from Oksanaās face and then she pulled her hand away and ran her fingers down Oksanaās chest and stomach. They left wet trails behind them.
Suddenly Eve felt exhausted. She lay down, partially on Oksana, still between her legs. She clasped her hands across Oksanaās stomach and rested her head on top of them, let her eyes drift closed. Oksana hooked her legs tight around Eveās back. She recognized that it was a somewhat strange position to be in, but in spite of that it was comfortable. The contact and the tight grip of Oksanaās legs against her was appealing. She could hear Oksana breathing hard and Eveās own breathing wasnāt particularly slow either. After a moment she found her words.
āOksana?ā
āYes?ā
āDoes casual have to mean only this once?ā
Oksana gasped out a laugh, āGod, I hope not.ā
