Day 1 of the body weight exercise of the day! This is one of the best if not the best body weight exercise, the push-up. This is a great chest and arm exercise. There are a million variations for this exercise and truly anyone can do these exercises. Like all of the following exercises I have included three levels of ability for this exercise. First is the modified push-up which involves using your knees to relieve some body weight and lower the amount of force needed to perform it. Another modification that is not pictured, is using a wall instead of the ground. The second part of the first video is the basic push-up, what most people don’t do is go all the way to the ground and then all the way back up until the elbows “lock”. This might seem like a very small change, it's only a matter of inches, but it truly makes all the difference. The last video shows a decline push-up, this involves elevating the legs onto a chair or surface. This increases the amount of force needed and if you only do regular pushups daily you need to incorporate this exercise as well. Each day I will post videos/pics of one of the key exercises in my daily exercise routine as well as my results from this fitness journey. Stay healthy!
